This place is growing on me. Sports bar wise, it is pretty much my go to. Lots of tvs with various games on. The waitress/bartender/etc will work with you to put on what you want to watch. Lots of quality beers on tap. Some are a bit overpriced for me, but then they almost always have specials that put several of them for really reasonable or cheap even. And they are really good about doing that during games when you are likely to be drinking beers anyways, which is pretty sweet of them. The plain pepperoni pizza wasn't my favorite ever, but their calzones are pretty awesome and one of these days I'm going to try the hot brown pizza.

The atmosphere is super chill, great for grabbing a bite or beer with friends or for catching a game. No one will be offended if you get into the game, but it also isn't so loud and obnoxious that you have any worry about it disturbing your dinner. Good happy medium with a pretty pleasant crowd.

It's a sports bar. Ask yourself, do you like sports bars? If so, then you will like to be here. If not, then you will hate every moment after walking into this place.

Luckily, I enjoy a sports bar and had a really good time.

I can't stress the atmosphere enough though. It's loud. Loud loud! TVs blaring, people shouting, tons of stuff on the walls (that's more of a loud decoration but still, loud.) LOUD!

But you get into it. Order a beer (damn they have a nice selections of alcohol, including Rivertown which is a tiny awesome brewery here in Cincinnati.) Order some bar food, which looked delicious (although I was stuffed from my last meal and didn't eat any.) Have a good time.

This is the type of bar that doesn't mind you crowding seven people around a tiny table so you can all chat and watch the game. Surprisingly, it wasn't even uncomfortable. Good seats, lots of room, very happy.

Again, it's a sports bar. Know what you're getting into when coming here and get into the game!

Staff was friendly, food was good not great. I had something they called a Calzone. It wasn't like any Calzone I have ever had. Not bad, just very different. Not that big of a place in a busy part of town. It packed out on a Fri around 6pm so get there earlier if you don't want to wait long.

Big fan of boombozz, even their "plain" cheese has a variety of flavors. Fresh and tasty plus a wide selection of beers. Their Carnitas Pizza was amazing. I'm this close (imagine my index finger and thumb merely millimeters apart) from giving them a 5 star.

It's a sports bar and it has everything you'd ever want in a sports bar: good beer, good food, and an attractive staff :). Really good beer selection, currently they have a variety of Octoberfest beers on special (I'm writing this in October.) A menu of sporty munchies. Primarily this is a pizza joint, but they have wings, salads, and other goodness. I would recommend the calzone, it's affordable, big enough for 2 people and is delicious. You got flat screens everywhere you look, it's a jovial atmosphere but it's not overwhelmingly loud or obnoxious with fans in your face. My only qualm is it's too clean, but I assume this isn't a complaint for most people.

After months of trying Louisville pizza joints, I think I've found my home. Say the name, go ahead, "Boom Bozz". Isn't it fun?

Atmosphere: This is what won me over. The super clean new building, tons of windows, hardwood floors, excessive beer taps, and the HD tvs. I walked in and immediately loved the place. so much so that I returned a day later with more friends and more pizza.

Pizza: The international combinations are where it's at ("Famous Creations"). I've tried the Pollatate', Chicken fajita, Primavera, and all meets classic. But, the unusual part is, I can't wat to come back and try ALL the pizzas. Create your own toppings include the normal items, plus: Fresh garlic, prosciutto, rosemary potatoes, artichoke hearts, portobellos, bacon, feta, and asiago. BBQ is available as a pizza sauce along with tomato pesto, garlic cream, garlic olive oil, and more. I can't even image the infinate possibilities. I'm not even going to go into the crust options.

We also loved that they are open until midnight on thursdays.

Tip: Tuesdays are $2 "until we tap the keg"
Tip #2: Lunch specials include an individual size pizza with a side salad for $6.95. This knocks $2 off the price of a personal pizza and gives you the salad for free.

The pizza here is fine, I don't know that "gourmet" is necessarily the right word. As uninteresting as it may be, the margarita pizza is perhaps my favorite. The last time I came it seems as though the lid of a pepper shaker had come loose as they were trying to season our pizza, and they actually served it to us. They compensated us by giving us a personal size (we had ordered a large) replacement. Really??

I have been to this location two times and both times had the same female server (in the front closed off section). Both times the service has been terrible, struggling for drink refills, waiting 15 minutes to get a to-go box, and another 15 minutes to get the check.

Sad to say it, but based on service alone I prefer nationwide chains to this.

The former second version of Boombozz in the Highlands has transformed yet again and is now "Boombozz Taphouse." The remodel adds an expansive dining room with a corner section "outdoors" with retractable glass doors. The taphouse has an arsenal of HDTVs, sit-down service, and ample parking.

We went here on May 6, 2009 and were promptly seated in the "outdoor" corner. It's a bit noisy near the busiest intersection in the neighborhood but was quite comfortable and a good place to watch busy life go by. A Corona was $4.25 and that's about the cheapest premium brew offered here so go elsewhere for a bargain on fine beers.

We ordered a whole wheat, thin crust, Chicken Fajita pizza and two side field greens salads--good but not mind-blowingly good. I enjoy the "gourmet" take on pizzas, which adds dimension to the Highlands' ample competing pizza offerings.

Good pizza with a wide selection of combinations I have never had before. Tried the wings which were very good , about the same as BWs with more sauce. Don't miss the Icebar, totally blew my mind, I want one in my house. Friendly staff and good pizza means they will be around for a long time.

Okay, updating to 5 stars because this location *does* deliver, and they also make a ridiculously yummy HOT BROWN PIZZA!  The bacon is so crisp, and it's a party in your mouth.  Recommended!

Look no further if you want gourmet pizza in Louisville.  Creative menu, good beer selection, and attentive staff.  Looks like it gets crowded at times, but I tend to avoid peaks.

Try to Pollo Potato, trust me.

Great crust.  Sauce is a bit bland.  The specialty pizzas are great.  The pesto chicken is good, and the primavera is good too.  It's a good spot for families or groups.  $15 pizza feeds 2/3 people.
