Granted, I'm a female...but I have to say with not being a fan of these type of places. This one is one of the better ones. The girls are very friendly, and always social weather you want a private dance or not. Wednesday and Thursday night they have a bartender named Crystal who is awesome! Makes the best drinks and is very personable.
I know this club doesn't have the best reviews at times. Honestly, if you come in and socialize a little than it makes the experience 10 times better. Verses just getting a drink, and sitting at the rack waiting for something to happen (which BTW- if you just sit there and don't tip- don't be surprised if your drink gets knocked into your lap! Seen it happen many times) -

First of all, this place is in the basement of a Chinese restaurant and looks like a basement. It's small, cramped, dark and smells kind of funny (probably from the bathrooms they never clean).
I've been to this place a number of times in the past two years. Each time hoping it would get better, It' didn't. They open at 11 am but hardly ever have dancers until 5 or 6 at night. Why are they even open during the day? They don't have a lunch crowd (no one eats the crappy food from upstairs) and who wants to pay $5 bucks for a beer when you can go down the street and get it for $3.
Bar service is spotty. The female bartenders are usually better. Crystal is one light in an otherwise dim place. She is sweet and friendly. The male bartenders are either surly or look like they want to be somewhere else.
As far as dancers go, it's hit or miss as well. There is a group of overweight black girls that dance now and then, a couple of goth looking girls and one or two older white head bangers. This place used to draw some hotties so I'm not sure what happened. I haven't seen a girl better than 6 there in a LONG time.
Giving this place one star is being generous. I'll give them that for one or two times I got mediocre service.
The bottom line:
Don't bother. -

High five and back flips to the boom boom room and the new sat night bartender she is awesome, kept the drinks coming all night long with a smile , by far the prettiest little bartender I've ran into so far. Defintly worth stopping in on a sat night to check out the talent!!

This place is sketch - and I don't mean in the way that strip clubs are supposed to be. It's just a bunch of stark naked girls headbanging to terrible music, while seedy men gawk. What's worse is that all the girls looked pretty miserable - no smiles, no sparkle, no special maneuvers on the pole. The entire place is just kind of...depressing.
It also made it unsafe for a bunch of females to be there. Whether it was because the girls were not engaging or security was not in full force, my friends and I were sexually harassed the entire duration of our visit. Although that may seem like a common occurrence for women in strip clubs - it's actually never happened to me before or after my visit here.
Well, you live and you learn - at least the bar service was good. -

Wow, this place can be a 4 star some nights and a 1/2 star others. Really all over the board in terms of what to expect. My suggestion is to plan to walk in, survey, and be prepared to do a 180 and bail out. Go with your instincts here folks and don't waste your time if it don't feel right.

Went in there a few years ago. In the afternoon during the NCAA men's finals.
Possibly the most fun I've ever had in a strip club. The dancers were interactive, the beer was cold, and every often we'd sneak off to watch some hoops. Not a bad afternoon.Listed in: Peeler Bars in Portland

The Boom Boom Room is the Bomb. But not because of their outstanding dancers, great food, fantastic lounge, or the good beer. It's the bomb because it's the closest club to my house that I would take a guest. I am on the way South side of town so getting up to Portland is quite a drive.
The staff is very friendly, the beer is good, the dancers are nice, and it's close to me. -

I give it one star because my boobies got grabed in the bathroom. Besides that, this place sucked, one of the dancers demanded $1 per person or leave when she only paid attention to 2 people. My group which consist of only 3 people gave $2 each and she took the money without any dancing! The bartender only paid attention to the dancers, I came to change money and she barely wanted to talk to me. Plus, the drinks were expensive. Soda was $3 each!! I was completely disappointed! I will never come back here again.
