Review from Amanda A.
Claremont, CA
I love this little bookstore. Great prices, and a friendly, knowledgeable manager! I also enjoyed visiting the "secret" room (there is a secret room). Go check it out!

Review from Nathan R.
Waltham, MA
INCREDIBLE used bookstore. Prices are great (I got the full ten-volume hardcover set of the Durants' Story of Civilization for $19!) and it is pleasantly chaotic like any good bookstore should be. They have a really impressive selection of classics, but there are treasures to be found in all subjects!

Review from Langdon A.
New Haven, CT
I agree with the other reviews - a decent used book store in an interesting building. Not the best laid out. Didn't find anything in my subjects of interest, but I was admittedly looking for rather specific things. The person working here was friendly and helpful. Prices seemed good (some special the day I was there where many books were only $1).

Review from Barb J.
Oakland, CA
It's a great place to wander around and find books on nearly anything. It's a bit disorganized, but it's still one of my favorite places to get books. The pricing is very reasonable, and the staff is great too.

Review from Pat T.
Berkeley, CA
I love to browse around this store. It's in an old mill building, and the books are organized by subject (though not alphabetized by author or title, so be prepared to browse).

Review from Biblio P.

In reference Mad B.'s review, Books By The Falls carries large a large selection of quality hardcover and softcover nonfiction books as old as the 1600's on through the 1900's. The owner's name is Ron. Perhaps you only visited the modern paperback room and didn't get to see all of the great antiquarian books for sale in the front room? I have been a regular patron of Books By The Falls for over 25 years and know the inventory well!!
