So, I'm not a fan of chain bookstores, at all. I did however wander in her the other day. It seemed pretty typical with the Twilight display, etc. I sat down with a book a poetry I was pursuing when I overheard one of the sales girls, Sam, helping a middle-aged woman find a book for her daughter. The book was Twain's Huck Finn.

I listened for 15 minutes as Sam tried to explain that Huck Finn was actually The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Then the woman couldn't understand why there were so many versions and why they each had different page counts. This poor girl explained that the book is in the public domain so anyone can publish it and furthermore they were all the same story just different font sizes. The woman wouldn't believe her. It was a riot.

After that situation I approached the girl because I had pity for her. Apparently she gets customers like that a lot. Anyway - she was very helpful and didn't laugh when I asked for help finding a Star Trek book. Their shelves aren't really organized but she was able to help. Oh, and they have the largest Christian living section I've ever seen.
