This place is a real find ---- an independent bookstore with true personality. It has a lovely cafe. The woman who runs it is very helpful and friendly. The store really supports the Webster community and has hosted lots of artists and authors. I love that. I love a place like this -- a place you could browse through so many things -- not just books but all kinds of interesting doo dads, for want of a better term. Let's support our local bookstores. It's a rare thing today!

So mad at myself for not reviewing sooner! I love this little shop. Great place to browse while sipping chai & nibbling a pastry. I got a great book here that encompassed 2 of Mr Bethany's favorite topics, Red Sox & ghosts. The author was even present to sign!
I've gotten great deals on everything from children's books to pottery. Keep the little places alive, people! -

when i lived in webster/dudley, i loved this place. i stopped in while apartment hunting and the owner and her mother talked to me about the area. i kept going back for the chai and the amazing low carb (hello 2004 diet fads) big train drinks. definitely the best thing on main street.
Specialties
1,000's of new & used books, from hard to find & out of print to current bestsellers fill the shelves. Feel free to browse or relax with a cup of espresso, latte or chai and a delicious homemade pastry or slice of quiche. Blended ice coffees, fruit smoothies and other specialty drinks are available all year.
Unique gifts include journals, bookmarks, pottery, jewelry, Japanese incense, aromatherapy oils, soy candles, relaxation cd's, children's puzzles and educational toys. Artwork by local artists is on display monthly.
Gift certificates are available and special orders are filled weekly.
Required summer reading lists by local schools are available.

Established in 1995
Booklovers' Gourmet was started in March 1995 by current owner and operator Debra Ostrokolowicz Horan with the goal of establishing a cultural oasis in the town of Webster, MA. An active member of the local business community, Booklovers' Gourmet is also a proud member of the American Booksellers Association and the New England Independent Booksellers Association.
Meet the Business Owner: Debra H.
A native of Webster, MA, Debra is a graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Illustration. Always the avid reader, she dreamed of uniting her passions for literature, art and cultural events into one business, hence the conception of Booklovers' Gourmet.
