Fairly decent selection of books and they will take hard back trade-ins. Unlike the other used bookstores in town, they will give you cash for your books. I always want book credit instead of cash, thus I do not know how much money one would get for trade-ins.
What I also like about Book Traders is that you can ask to be put on their e-mail list. They will send you discount coupon information to buy books at the store. They do not bombard you with e-mails nor will they sell or distribute your personal information to another party.
I'd completely forgotten about this place till I stopped by on a whim last night, even though the Schnucks next door (Quince near Ridgeway) is a daily stop for me. Burke's it ain't, of course, but in the desert of inner suburbia, even a small literary oasis is incredibly refreshing. The variety of books is decent, prices are cheap, and the staff are more than willing to keep on the lookout for books you're looking for--just let 'em know (in person or via the store's Web site).
