I really appreciated my visit today to Book Attic. Just like in Claire B.'s description the store is tucked away in a strip mall in Madison. When you first arrive expect to be greeted at the door by employees with smiling faces. At first the selection seems a little overwhelming, but relax because it is easy to sort through.
I wasn't in search for any one genera of book today, but it seemed like Book Attic would be the perfect place to get lost in. It is very quite and once you find your section you are sure to find something you will be interested in. Most of the books a little dated, but I actually like this store for their vintage selection.
Their prices are a little much for me, but their books ARE in great shape... hence the moderate price rating. I will continue visting Book Attic and wish to further support this business with my wild hair book-buying needs. -

Tucked away in a strip mall in Madison, this place is a must for book lovers. It is truly a great little used bookstore. It doesn't have a great atmosphere or cool used bookstore digs, but they have something for everyone and it's cheap, like used books should be.
I found a couple of writing books I had been looking for for a long time, even one that was out of print that I needed for a class, and the person I went with found several science fiction books he'd been searching for. I won't say that they specialize in sci-fi, but they do have a large selection.
The owners are nice, and I wish I lived closer to this place, so I would think about going more often because I want to support businesses like this who do what they do right.
