The perfect non-alcoholic nightcap.

We had no intention of getting any type of sweets, but after seeing the red lights and the bon bon, we just had to take a closer look at this place.  The gelato and sorbet showcase is a thing of beauty.

CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH GELATO.  Is it not only a genius idea, but a tasty one too.  I am thinking of bringing those travel size cinnamon toast crunch boxes in my pocket next time to add some extra crunch and cinnamon and overall goodness to cup of gelato.

We also got a spoon of oreo and caramel. (Caramel sucks, only got it cause my friend wanted it.  In situations like this, you ask them to scoop the caramel first so it's left at the bottom of the cup so you get to eat all the good stuff first).

Plus, Bon Bon is a great name.

On a hot summer's night when you can barely get out of bed to put on shoes, I find myself crawling to the train stop to spend four dollars on a ride to Hynes just for some Gelato. But this, is not just any Gelato. It is real, authentic, creamy Gelato. They have a delicious amount of flavors and give you three options! Yum! My favorite is Hazelnut Chocolate, Coffee and Coconut!

This place is a completely hidden little gem next to a flower shop. Kind of kitchy look, but divine gelato worth trekking out to Symphony/Hynes for! Go now and make sure to get a punch card!

Raspberry and Coconut. I will try any flavor I've never had before, but then I always order Raspberry and Coconut. Sometime they don't seem to have one of the flavors, and I ask- and it somehow is magically in the back. I highly recommend even if you like the same flavors, to sample the others- because you'll realize how delicious almost every flavor is. Plus, they have sorbets which are dairy-free for us lactards.

But what can be better than slightly overpriced, but delicious sorbet? Candy! Candy, Candy, Candy! And the inner-workings of the owner's dessert imagination. Chocolate covered oreos, twinkies- fudge and baklava. Any random sweet, sour or savory craving can be fulfilled just by stepping one foot in Bon Bon.

However- be warned, it's dangerous. With the candy a little overpriced as well, you can end up spending a little more than budgeted- or worse, purchase what your eyes can eat- but your stomach cannot. So be wary, but know that everything will make you happy like a child hearing the bells of the ice cream truck.

Ai, really?? I might have to give this another shot but the gelato flavors were off here, the pear sorbet and the hazelnut. These need some tweaking for sure. And $4.50 for a cup...Boston's expensive but that kind of borders on outrageous.

Trish treated me to Bon Bon in return for Nan Ling.  Obviously she's a much better friend than I am, but that's not the point at the moment (If I were reviewable, that could be held against me :-O)

Bon Bon is outstanding.  Service is excellent, as the girl behind the counter was more than willing to let me try out different flavors.  I tried out the mint chocolate, which was good, so I asked for that.  This was about when I learned that I could get 3 flavors in one mini bowl.  Score! :D

I ended up with Mint Chocolate Chip, Oreo, and Vanilla.  The combination was perfect, some ice-creamy goodness at its finest.  But you can also do combinations based around various other flavors and sorbets.

They also have chocolates and other things, and are generally a great deal.

So, whether or not you made the mistake of going to Nan Ling, you should definitely go to Bon Bon, particularly in these summer months :)

Today was a perfect hot sunny day to visit Bon Bon and try their Gelato and Sorbet. This place is yet another example of a little place that makes the most of their space and where it lacks in size, it makes up for it in flavor.

Their Gelato and Sorbet is showcased in such a way that when you first walk in, that's what your eyes are drawn to first. They have a variety of flavors and they give you samples to try before you buy. I ended up trying the Rum Gelato, Maple Pecan Gelato and the Pomegranate Sorbet. The rum was fantastic. They use sooooooo much rum in their recipe that you can really taste it . Their sorbet and gelato is also really rich so the small size is definitely a good choice (two large scoops) unless you're really in the mood for a lot then I would order a different size. They also let you put different flavors together in the same bowl/cup if you feel so inclined, which I thought was a really great idea.

I agree with the other reviews that the service is excellent. The people working there are always helpful and always have smiles on their faces.

I also tried their iced coffee while I was there. It was strong and tasted like a dark roast, however I don't really know because I forgot to ask.  This place is a diamond in the rough and I recommend it if you like Gelato or Sorbet and can't get to the North End. It is a little pricey, but it's a nice treat for yourself on a hot day :)

Three words: peanut. butter. gelato.

Bon Bon could serve nothing but peanut butter gelato and they'd still get five stars, because it miiiiiight be my single favorite treat in Boston.  As it is, they serve a ton of other flavors which they frequently rotate through and will allow you to sample before buying.  Load up your cup with one flavor.  Or do a half-and-half.  Hell, get THREE -- yes, you can do that too.  Go nuts.  I've never even ventured into all the other stuff they sell (i.e. piles and piles of all sorts of candy).  Five stars for the gelato alone.

Stop #12

The downside about eating your way through Boston is that you're constantly finding more and more places to eat.  By the time we found Bon Bon, we were absolutely full.  And this was right before dinner.  Bon Bon looked so much more alluring than Truffles Fine Confectionary.  There gelatos, mini chocolate morel-covered pretzels, and french crepes.  There was even something called the Cinnamon Toast Crunch.  If there was one complaint, it would be that it wasn't open late at night or early in the morning.  Next time we said, next time.

Note: In February of 2009, Cindy and I embarked on a 48-hour eating tour around the greater Boston area.  I called it the Boston Masticare - a bad pun off the Italian transitive verb "to chew."

So I've been meaning to try Bon Bon's Cinnamon Toast Crunch Gelatto for ages now, and I finally found myself in the area, and convinced the boyfriend to give it a whirl.

But... Alas, they didn't have any Cinnamon Toast Crunch... but what they did have was Lemon Sorbet.  And it was INCREDIBLE.  Best lemon sorbet I've ever tasted, hands down, no contest.  Sour and sweet and creamy... simply devine.

The service was good, and I tried a few other flavors, all of which were amazing.

Here is where Bon Bon loses a star:

Candy Cigarettes.

They have candy cigarettes on the counter by the register, and I believe this is irresponsible.

Other than that, Bon Bon is a great experience.

YUMMMMMMMMMMMY. I love this place. Even after I moved from Symphony road where I used any excuse to hit this place up.. I still head back there to load up a big bag of gummys and giant peanut butter cups and have some gelato. I sit outside and read or write and eat til I cant eat anymore.
Its a tiny little place but its packed with great stuff. They have amazing fudge. Great sorbets, ices and gelato. The staff is awesome.. they always let me try whatever I want. I think I will swing through after work today.. and by swing through I mean go way out of my way, fight for a parking spot and get home late for dinner.. with a bag of gummys, a tummy full of pom ice and a guilty look on my face.

The first 90 degree day of the summer. ... Oh wait, it isn't summer yet. heh.
Walk into Bon Bon and you'll find yourself distracted with all sorts of goodies.
Ridiculously huge peanut butter cups? check
Glow Gummy Worms? check
Chocolate Covered Almonds? check
Gelato? - WAIT- Did someone say GELATO? CHECK!
and how could you ever move onto anything else when the first thing you see is Gelato? If I remember correctly, their flavors change but even so, with staples like lemon and coffee who cares what changes?
I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a real adorable city experience. Screw Ben & Jerrys, throw that haagendaas (sp?) out the window. Go to Bon Bon and grab your ass a sweet cup of gelato!!

Ice Cream and Sorbet at its awesomest!! All BonBon's offerings are completely natural, none of that "natural and artificial flavors" crap! And wow, you can taste the difference!
Also, the shop offers amazing, unique flavors and options you wont find in a store... seriously, Ive had ice cream made from flowers... very different indeed. They rotate their flavors randomly so there is always something new and exciting to try and they encourage you to try every single flavor you want to. Customer service is fantastico!
And hey, if ice cream/sorbet isn't your thing, they also offer an extreme variety of chocolates and candies ranging from gourmet truffles and such to Harry Potter's every flavor Jelly Beans. Go to BonBon to satisfy sweet or sugar cravings of all kinds... Seriously, it's as wonderful as I say it is xD

Lady behind the counter was super helpful and nice, even though she told me they were out of the aztec spicy hot chocolate.  I opted to sample the variety of gelato and sorbets, and purchased a cup of the coffee and cinnamon toast crunch.  It was pretty pricey for a cup (almost 5coin)

Eating gelato in Boston... during a night like this.... completely enhanced my perception of the cold ass weather.

They also carry various candy-covered pretzels (M&Ms covered, white chocolate chip covered, etc), fudge, chocolate balls, teas, candy, and those Gund stuffed toys.

Absolutely delicious. I've had the gelato, the sorbet, and the yogurt. All wonderful. Exceptional is how I would describe the white pear yogurt because it's both tasty and unique.
They also have a stamp card... that's always a bonus for me!
I just read Trish F's review stating that Tuesdays are double punch... and that makes me want to run over there today as soon as they open! Yummmmmm!

OK first the pros

Sorbet and ice cream yummy with lots of exciting flavours props for cocounut, coffee, orange and rasp sorbet, lemon sorbet, cinnamon crunch, mint straticalla.......
Free ice cream with punch card
Tasty hot drinks
V V friendly staff
Yummy Chocolate Pretzels
Chocolates look delish - though not tried them

Cons
Expensive for tub of icecream
Smallest size tub is HUGE when you maybe only want a little and don't want to spend a lot
Pastry on £3 coffee and pastry offer not too inspiring.

BUT the biggest issue is the risk of cross-contamination from their ice cream flavours. My husband is allergic to nuts and we were really impressed by the fact that each flavour is served from a separate scoop, however the containers are filled up so full of ice cream that we have had a slight cross-contamination of flavours sometimes and have seen flavours drip onto each other. We are quite reluctant to get ice cream that he is going to eat from here now as its a bit of a worry. We go to Toscis often for ice cream and whilst they use the same scoop, but rinsed, their containers are really deep and never over flowing so ice cream is totally separate.

Perhaps if the nutty ice creams were together and separated from the non-nutty icecreams or the tubs weren't so full and dripping we would feel a bit easier about coming back for some scrummy desert.

*****FAT KID ALERT*****

*****FAT KID ALERT*****

How does a tiny tiny store manage to pack So.Much.Deliciousness?!??!

Gelato and sorbet in one corner.
Truffles in another corner.
Mini pastries in yet another corner.
100+ candies and chocolates to choose from.

I can already feel my pants expanding.
I am gaining weight just thinking about this place.

I grabbed a couple of treats for myself and Joe because I had time to waste.  I also grabbed some gelato (before eating dinner mind you, but I did it anyway); Smores and Almond Crunch.  There were bursts of flavor, and then there were bites where it didn't taste like anything at all.  Although, I think next time I am going to go for the Pomegranate and Black Current sorbet.  Even if the next time I come is in November and there is a blizzard outside.  That is how good it is.  The price of the gelato/sorbet is a reasonable, especially because they give you a lot.  A small could easily be a medium at many other establishments.

Although, I'm planning on indulging in some truffles the next time I come here.  The only benefit of classes starting tomorrow is that I get to come by here almost everyday.  mwhahahahahaha, my waistline is quivering in fear.

For a few months, there has been a very sad, total absence of vegan cupcakes at Bon Bon...something about how the girl who made them left and how if they don't sell the cupcakes, they have to throw them out.

I stopped in a couple days ago and was assured they would bring back the vegan goodies by 2009.  In the meantime, the only way to get your vegan dessert fix here is to special order.

I want your bon bon in my mowf!

I was all Augustus Gloop up in this place!
A gelato display greets you at the door.
A rotating bon bon display topped with an over-sized teddy bear.
Walls and rows of candy ripe for the picking.
Vegan cupcakes (not for me you Cambridge kids!)
Little dragons and noise-making stuffed animals.
I swear there was an Oompa Loompa running around somewhere...

This place is dangerously close to my apartment - and I even more dangerously got one of their little frequent shopper punch cards.

Employee: Would you like a punch card for the next visit?
Ligaya: Oh hell ya!
Employee: And it's DOUBLE punch Tuesday!
Jeffrey: I fucking LOVE double punch Tuesday!

ROTATING FIVE-TIERED TRUFFLE TOWER.

They went all Baskin Robbins-ed out with 21 flavors on my a$$ (cuz after all the trips here it's gonna be round as a Buckminster Fuller dome and money!) and then some: chai, coconut, pistachio, hazelnut, peach, champagne, cappuccino and the star of the bunch DARK CARAMEL WITH SEA SALT.

If you can tear your face from the sight of this glorious display look around at the floor to ceiling plastic bins of magic. You know that kid in the candy store analogy? Welcome to this world IN REAL LIFE. Chocolate and yogurt covered anything. Gummy-shaped everything. Vegan cupcakes. Serious nom, nom, nom. The patio is a delightful place to enjoy your treats but there's no inside seating so be prepared in the winter months.

I didn't hit up the glutinous looking gelato/sorbet but my companions attested to its tastiness. One bite of the peanut butter chocolate sold me.

My office is a block away. I'm in the danger zone now.

The vegan (and non-vegan) treats here blow the competition (I'm looking at you, Wheeler's) out of the water.  Their gelato is so delicious and honestly, I'd never have noticed a difference from 'non-vegan' if I didn't already know they were vegan! In any case, their gelatos are delicious as I already mentioned in previous reviews.

Every time I indulge my sweet tooth here, I like it more. (Do you see how my Yelp stars having been crawling up over the past few months, up up and away to higher greatness?) Not only are their cold sweet treats and gummy candies excellent, but their chocolates and truffles make wonderful presents.  They can come in several different sizes and packaging - I'm partial to the tin of 8 pieces.  It's adorable and the way they wrap it up with a little ribbon intertwined into the lid is so cute.  A cute, be-ribboned tin filled with hand-picked flavours of their delicious truffles, popped into one of their happy red clear decorative bags is a treat for the eyes and my gift-recipients were pretty happy.

And did you know they have STRACCIATELLA? Mint Stracciatella, to be exact!! My favourite ice cream flavour combined with my severe weakness for the bittersweet, oh-so-fabulously textured chips of stracciatella - I was in love from my first spoonful.  I wonder if they have Gianduja too, but in general my eyes glaze over when I look at the array of flavours in those happy-looking tubs filled with glorious scoops. I just want a bit of everything, it all looks (and tastes) too good.

Everybody sing with me now:

Oompa, Loompa, doom-pa-dee-do
I have a perfect puzzle for you
Oompa, Loompa, doom-pa-dee-dee
If you are wise, you'll listen to me

What do you get when you guzzle down sweets?
Eating as much as an elephant eats
What are you at getting terribly fat?
What do you think will come of that?

I still like the look of it (Bon Bon)

Oompa, Loompa, doom-pa-dee-da
If you're not greedy, you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-do

I can't even tell you how many times I've wandered by Bon Bon, assuming they'd have nothing for me. Imagine my surprise, and consequent face-smack moment, when my favorite Yelping vegans and veg-allies start mentioning a cupcake tower and gelato in their reviews.

It had been awhile since I'd spent some quality time with Boston Yelp's resident activist, Brian G., so after a quick text yesterday we decided to check out Bon Bon to see what all the hype was about.

I arrived early and peeked into the teeny tiny shop. It's cute. And red. Yay for red, one of my favorite colors/shades.  The dude working was super nice and gave me the lowdown on the sorbets (all fat free and vegan. Nice).  I sampled the pomegranate confection - DAMN. Sour but tasty. And full of seeds. But I liked.

Sadly they were out of vegan cupcakes - apparently they're big sellers right now. He did tell me that along with cupcakes they sometimes offered vegan candies and fudge as well. (One of Bon Bon's staffers is veg and so she makes these lovely sweets according to her whims).

Brian showed up, and after sampling a few flavors, settled on a mash up of passion fruit and melon gelato. I got a chamomile tea since I also had a date with some carrot cake at Whole Foods around the corner (that's right, we got a pastry tasting - jealous? Don't be, my pants didn't fit this morning).

All in all a very cool experience. Bon Bon is ace in my book. I'll be back for sure.

My childhood dream has come true!

Candyland really DOES exist! And I didn't have to go through the Gum Drop Forest or wade my way around the Chocolate Swamp! All I had to do was take the Green Line to Symphony and walk a few short blocks right here in Boston!

With all that yummy, sugary, buttery, creamy, salty, chocolatly, fruity, crispy, gummy goodness rising up all around me, I swear that Lord Licorice and Princess Lolly would have rushed out to greet me.

If Hasbro ever makes a 2008 Boston Candyland Edition, they have to model it after this place and include the Gelato Kingdom, Truffle Tower and the Vegan Voyager...obviously named for the knight in shining armor who saves the day by whipping up treats for those of us who like our sugar sans dairy.

Mad props for the pomegranate and black currant sorbet. Tart but sweet and I really enjoyed the texture of the black currants.

I should work for Zagat, def.

So it's day 3 here in Boston and my cousin and I had to walk down Mass Ave to get some goodies from CVS next door. Nothing has changed in the 6 months that I was in New York. The cashiers are still just as incompetent as ever.

On our way back we passed Bon Bon and I couldn't help but check the place out, given that the sign said that their gelato is 93% fat free. I would have gone inside even if they said it was 2% fat free, but this made me feel slightly better.

I also got the coconut and the Oreo and hot damn, they give you a good portion. A small cost me $4.73 but you can get up to 3 flavors which I totally appreciate because I am cultured and I like diversity.

I'm back, Boston.

This ended up being an unexpected detour to my evening. I was on my way to economy hardware when I saw gelato for sale. I stopped in to see what they had and was overwhelmed with choices. I took the girl behind the counter's suggestions for flavors and was blown away. The passion fruit was amazing. I'll definitely return and with my Gelato Lover Card.

Its a tough job selling ice cream in these parts....We have enigmatic Wheelers a block away, the ever popular and locally owned JP Licks on Newbury with Emack and Bolios on the next block.  There is good yogurt all over the place, and smack down in the middle is little Bon Bon.

They may very well be the best of a very competitive bunch.  Gelato is creamier than ice cream, and at Bon Bon, you can taste test to your hearts content

They have some pretty unique flavors like pomegranate, black currant as well as the more pedestrian lemon, etc.. you can also combine three flavors in one cup

Definitely worth a try

Neat little place. They have bins of candy if you need a sugar fix.  There is fudge or chocolate truffles (which aren't cheap).

The gelato is reasonably priced when you see how much you get.  But it's not the best gelato by any means, but it's just fine.  The sorbets, however, are pretty delicious.  Pomegranate and blackcurrant?  Sure! Very flavorful and refreshing.

Lactose is not always my friend.

My sister was visiting and she wanted some gelato, so we stopped into BonBon for a treat. She had her small dog with her and was not allowed to enter the tiny shop, but she could see all the pretty choices of the creamy cool confection and happily made her selection from outside the doorway.  They only offer one size, but you can chose up to three flavors.  Sis went for pear, melon, and vanilla. She enjoyed all the flavors and the combo. Melon, in my opinion, was scrumptious.

I tend to get overwhelmed when sugar and pretty colors are involved, so it took me a bit to decide. The pomegranite/black currant sorbet was calling out to me, but I wanted something else too. The young chap at the counter, although lacking in the flair and charm that I desire from my cool treat servers, was helpful when I asked for a suggestion to pair with the pom. He said chocolate and I was sold.  The flavors are intense, the combo was right on and you get a lot in the bowl for your 5 bucks.

For fear of having a bloaty lactose belly, I focused more on the pom/currant sorbet in my bowl and gingerly ate the milky chocolate gelato. But, it all turned out to be too much and I could barely finish half.

Sister almost finished hers and allowed me to give a few tastes of the vanilla to her small dog. Small dog loved it.

How could I forget about Bon Bon?

I don't go here that often, but when I do it's heavenly. A little pricey, yeah--but the amount of gelato you get for $4 will hit you when you've plowed through half of it.

It's been the site of roommate bonding and awkward first dates for me. Oh, memories of that douchebag from the summer. That's where he stole my purse.

Anyway...it's good gelato. And they have awesome candy displays!

That place is friggin tiny. I wonder how they rolled that gelato cart in there in the first place!

Need a life size Teddy bear holding a bag of gummy lobsters to really say "I LOVE YOU"?

A mini bahing sheep and some chocolate fudge to let your best friend know you really care? Well, its not how to win my heart, but I can't imagine thinking that when I walk into this store! Look just past the gelato counter and discover this place is filled to the brim with (slightly pricey) candy and chocolates and stuffed animals to say "I am sorry" or "I really LOVE you" or "Please take me back"!

As for the gelato, it took a hot day and my slight boredom to finally stop in and try some. Its good and around $5 a container will get you 3 flavors of choice. Make sure to go for the FRUIT FLAVORS, if you could can a sweet summer day and sell it, it would be the Bon Bon watermelon :)

Neato place!  Uber tiny but they make up for this by giving you tons to look at.  It's a little box of magic on Mass Ave.

Customer service was good and they reuse their tasting spoons!  Woohoo for recycling!  The sorbet that I got was pretty damn sweet.... I went with Passion Fruit and Melon (as Alli T mentioned), and will probably do the same next time, but with more Melon and less Passion Fruit.

I'm a fan!  Yay gelato!

Honestly, at first I thought this would just be one of those over-priced, tourist traps with generic product, but I was definitely wrong. The chick at the counter was incredibly helpful and sweet, encouraging me to sample as much as I wanted. Everything I tried was great, but the best option by far is the White Pear, which she said is the most popular flavor. It is truly unbelievable; I'm pretty sure I went back the next two days for that one flavor. Bon Bon rocks my socks.

Yum!  I have been looking for a good gelato place in Boston (other then the North End) and here it is!  I tried the lemon and fudge - both were amazing.  Next time I go I'm going to try one of the dozens of truffles they have.

Yay!  Another ice cream shop!  Well, actually this is a gelato shop, just newly opened last week.  I found out about this place today while running to a hardware store.  There are so many flavors, including passion fruit (my fave so far), coconut, rosewater Champagne, cookies 'n creams, bon bons...

The server was super joyful and friendly in letting me taste a few flavors before I buy.  Bon Bon also sells cookies, candies, chocolates, Baklava.  And to balance out all those sweetness...... tea!  Try it out!

I will definitely come back to try more gelatos, and then decide on star ratings, but for now, a three-star.  There are two gripes I have.  One, there are no seatings inside, the store is very small.  But they put out 2 tables in front when the weather's nice.  If not, you can cross the street and sit at the Christian Science, it'll be even more beautiful with the scenery and especially with the warm weather coming.  Ok, second dislike, the gelatos are not that frozen, maybe it was just made and haven't been frozen enough.  I'll definitely be back to try all the gelato flavors!  Price was reasonable compared to the amount too.

3 because it has great flavor, but spoiled by too much sugar.

For me, ice cream and gelato is usually just not tasty enough. I like sparkly, authentic flavor. Bon Bon has beautiful gelatos on display, and you can sample them before buying. The colors are bright and lush, the flavors are interesting (pomegranate currant, pistachio mascarpone caramel).

The experience... The gelato is a nice smooth, creamy texture, and flavorful. By creamy I do not mean milky in flavor but smooth and soft and scoopable in texture. The flavors are clean, pure. I often complain in fruit flavor icy treats that they are either muddied by too much additive, like milk or junky fruit concentrate, so that you can't taste any natural crisp fruitiness. The pomegranate currant has that delicious crisp fruitiness that is promised by its deep berry color. The flavor by itself is great, and nice little bits of fruit to add to the texture. The problem is, the flavor is NOT all by itself, it is mixed with far too much sugar! It is tasty enough that it doesn't need to be so sweetened! Yummy, but unfortunately the sugar kills it for me. It spoils the whole treat.

The coconut I sampled had delicious bits of coconut and nice texture. But again, TOO SWEET.

Bon Bon has serious potential, but KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE SUGAR ALREADY. (and please let me know when you do, because without the extra sugar this would be five stars!)

The first time I came here the guy working behind the counter had a "Bluth Company" t-shirt on. So major points for having cool employees.

When it comes to gelato I have a one flavor mind... HAZELNUT, and for me it was perfect. It comes in a cute little plastic cup that I kind of felt bad about throwing away and instead of a spoon you get a little bright colored plastic shovel! I only wished they came in different sizes because I could not finish mine, and at five bucks a pop it was a little wasteful (then again gelato is a treat and a splurge anyway).

The second time I went, it was after the lunchtime rush so my gym buddies and I were the only customers. The girl working there was more than happy to let us sample nearly every brightly colored flavor behind the counter. I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that the fruit flavors were way too sweet, the fruit is fine on its own. I got my hazelnut and was even told how the nuts are imported from the gelato maker's favorite farm in Italy, and that all gelatos are made fresh daily!

Definitely worth a try if you are in the area or just love gelato!

a very cute place selling gelato and other sweets, located dangerous close to where live... it's a typical gelato shop, but it's very cute and cozy, even with some sets of small tables outside.  now boston roses is temporary located at their store front, you can enjoy some sweet among followers, isn't that great?!

that being said, i think its gelato is only around grade B level.  some of them are better than the others, but a few flavors are not there yet in my opinion...

After passing this place about 50 times, I decided to swing into the store and try their gelato. They don't sell by the scoop but in an universal size that is a good amount (amount the same as Gelateria at North End). The girl at the counter was very nice and she said I can try any flavor so I tried the pistachio (recommended!), baklava (recommended!), tiramasu, pear yogurt, and coffee. You can mix up to three flavors, but I don't know if I recommend that because my tongue kinda mixed all the flavors up in the end. It's definitely worth coming back to.

Side note, and this is partly my fault: my total came out to be $4.73. I give her $ 5.75 and I got 2 cents back. I realized this after leaving but I didn't go back for it...I guess I'll consider it a tip. Just watch your change.
