WOW!!!!! OH WOW!! I found Bombshell on Yelp and I decided to check them out. Christina is AMAZING!! I have been going to see her for 2 months already and she has done magic on my brows. Christina has transformed them into a great shape for my facial structure. Christina and Stephanie are very welcoming and run their business very well. I highly suggest Bombshell if you need someone to do your brows in a consist manner.
I will never let anyone else touch my brows!
P.S. Leave with an appointment as they book out weeks at a time. -

Update: I'm still a regular at Bombshell and if its possible, I love these girls even more! I honestly get a little excited whenever I see that I have an appointment. Christina and Stephanie are so friendly, funny, down to earth and cool. Every time I go in, I feel like I'm hanging out with a couple girlfriends getting my brows done. My brows are consistently on point. Never underestimate how important your brows are.. I feel refreshed and transformed after every appointment.

5 stars all the way!!!
I'm traumatized because I literally don't think there is anyone in the world that can get the perfect eyebrow arch like Christina at Bombshell. She def is an expert on eyebrow shaping. Stephanie and Christina are sisters and they remind me of my sister an me. They're professional but personable, which makes you feel quite comfortable. Although I moved to El Dorado Hills, I try to see her whenever possible. The only prob is that I'm spontaneous so I call the day of and that usually doesn't work. -

Perfect! I just moved to US so my english isn't good. It was so simple to me to make an appointment by email. Thank you for my eyebrows!

(written by my gf) bombshell is the best place I have ever gotten my eyebrows done at. It's a small shop owned by Christina and Stephanie, two sisters. Christina does the eyebrows; Stephanie does the business stuff. They're so awesome! They're so easy to talk to, and despite all the clients that they have, they always remember me and the things we've talked about before. She remembers all the little things, and it's easy to make conversation instead of just having that awkward silence. They seem to really care about the clients that they have. Before them, I could never find a place that made my eyebrows look good. I just thought I couldn't shape them and make them look good, but it turns out, they can. It's definitely hard to get an appointment. You basically have to make it a month ahead of time, but it's worth it. They make it easy and let you communicate through email, and they'll let you know available appointment times if you give them a general window when you wanna go. I've only gone to get my eyebrows waxed and it's $25. She always fills them in for you after also, unless you don't want her to. It's pricey, but I'm willing to pay the money. Also, I was from San Jose, and I drove to San Mateo just to get my eyebrows waxed. I recently moved to San Francisco, and I still drive there. Really says something about their place. If you live in the area, try them out! But don't take up all my appointment times.

You cannot get any better than this. I have been seeing them for close to a year now and my eyebrows have never looked better. The sisterly team is so adorable, and we chat about all sorts of stuff whenever I am there. They are so cute too, the remember everything about me! With the amount of clients they have, this is a big deal to me.
It may be tough getting an appt, but I always book my next one while I am there, and it works out perfectly. What can you do? They are super popular, amazing, and worth every penny.... of course they are busy with a two-person team - only one of which does eyebrows!
Love them! Can't say enough wonderful things!!! -

I don't know that much about brows, but I came here for the good reviews, plus it is down the road from my house. I had an upcoming event, and they managed to squeeze me in last minute due to a cancellation. They were extremely nice, I felt very comfortable, and it hurt way less than usual - it was actually enjoyable. Also, they refused a tip on the first visit = classy.
What I do know is that after getting my brows done here, I was running some errands, and a guy stopped me on the street to tell me I had beautiful eyes. Now THAT doesn't happen every day.
Like they needed another good review - I just had to share! -

Let me start by saying it is a HUGE pain in the ASS to get an appointment for this place. However I was persistent on getting an appointment because of all the positive reviews on Yelp. After months of trying to get an appointment that fit with my schedule and growing out my 'brows, I was excited for my appointment with Christina to get my bushy brows tamed. We chit-chatted and I found out we went to the same hs (NDB, in case you were wondering). She said my eyebrows looked good shape-wise, and didn't need anything done to them besides cleaning up the stray hairs. I was provided with good service, but for $25, I don't think that this place is worth it. (Their prices went up by $5 recently)
I normally get my eyebrows threaded with Shilpi in Foster City, so I have her to thank for my perfectly shaped eyebrows. And for half the price as Bombshell, I think I'll stick with her from now on. -

Such a cute place! I love the cozy ambiance and how you're the only client they see during your time slot, so no rush at all and makes you feel super pampered! My brows look awesome and even picked up a few tips on how to keep them looking fabulous. I do feel like the price could be better though, I could get the same beautiful brows for much cheaper.

I used to get my brows waxed by Christina down at the Brow Bar... One day I went and she was no where to be found. Later on, I found out through my friend Anita (who has perfect eyebrows) that she got them done at Bombshell. Turns out Christina has resurfaced!!! And she is can finally wrangle my scary hairy caterpillars back into perfectly groomed arches. I trusted her to do my brows before my wedding and they came out perfect.
Appointments are HARD to come by... so don't cancel!!!! -

Well! the crazy fan notwithstanding, I kept my appointment with Christine and ended up getting my next too.
These sisters deserve their five star ratings coz they are the best!
Christina spoke to me about what i aspired for, I wanted arched eyebrows and got them. I am an example for,' you are not born with the best of eyebrows but they can be perfected at the hands of an artist-Christina'.
She spends time on you(nearly fifteen minutes on doing the eyebrows) but I love the outcome. Simply perfect!
The wait, the silly email wars are all totally worth it to meet this goddess who can give you the best-est eyebrows.
Yay to local business and global talent!
PS: they don't accept tips, they believe the best tip is when you schedule your next appointment, ain't that cool!Listed in: Eyebrow threading

Listen up ladies, and gentlemen, this is the best place to get your brows shaped to perfection and YOU WILL WAIT PATIENTLY for an appointment! Christina (owner) does a consistently good, no, great job at shaping your brows how you wish! Stephanie (full time super mom and co-owner) is great at returning emails as well as sending reminder emails about appointments.
(For all you complaining about not getting an appointment ASAP you can sit down, put a bubble in your mouth, and go get some real problems)
Clearly this place knows what they are doing because yes it does take a few weeks perhaps even months to get in for an appointment, but once you are in the book it is cake to get an appointment when you need pampering! -

These girls are the "bomb," literally. Though I most often get on the cancel list due to my crazy erratic schedule, Christina always manages to get me in and keeps my brows looking fabulous! My three daughters are also equally fabulous due to Christina's not too thick not too thin exactly symmetric skills. Stephanie keeps the shop original and the schedule flowing. Email is best for getting appointments. If you want to be a bombshell this is your place.....

I actually went to Bombshell today and got my eyebrows done by Christina. She did an amazing job and I'm definitely going back again :) I thought it was awesome that she asked me what I wanted first before doing my brows. She did exactly what I asked for, and I couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the wait and money!

These sisters are an awesome team! Christina does the shapin', and Stephanie does the admin. :) They are super friendly, and of course, my brows look amazing! I never knew how important brow shaping was until I started, and now I think it helps to frame my face.
It can be challenging to set up that first appointment because they book way in advance, but once you're in, just keep your appointments, and you're golden! :) -

Bombshell is cute and Christina is fun, but what good is this place if you can barely get an appointment? I like to routinely get my eyebrows waxed, but it was impossible to do that because Christina is so busy. You have to wait months just to get an appointment. Ridiculous.

Review from Christina M.
Mountain View, CA
I wanted to love this place, I really did...Christina was a peach, totally nice and helpful and the waxing itself was great - but when the powder was applied...I looked like Joan Crawford. My brows were nightmarishly thick. I ran to the car and scrubbed them off (all the while sobbing, "I tolllldddddd herrrrr, no wire hangers!) Now, to be TOTALLY FAIR, I went in sans makeup, and I usually do the brow powder and sealer, etc, and I told her "you're the expert...do what you think looks best!" and I should have been more specific - as in, "I like my brows thin and arched" because I bet, I JUST BET, that for people who dig thick eyebrows, they probably looked just grand. I also got some new powder, which was great because that's what I was looking for, as well, but it seemed like I followed the hype instead of my common sense. The place was hard to find, (tiny and not that comfortable) and I think the price for the 10 seconds of waxing was kinda high, and not worth a month-long waitlist for an appointment. I want, I REALLY WANT to give them more stars, but I just can't recommend it. :(

This was totally worth a month's wait! After 10 years of over-plucking and a few weeks of growing them out, Christina turned me from a frazzled mess into a goddess in about 15 mins flat. She is so warm and friendly. She didn't pressure me to buy anything and I was totally relaxed.
Once I got back in the car I spent about ten minutes admiring myself in the rear view mirror. I swear my cheekbones are higher now. -25$ to my monthly bank statement from now on.Listed in: My Neighborhood

All I can say is since I have started going here that I cannot go without going for my monthly appointment. Christina and Stephanie are both such sweet people. Christina does such a great job. The first time I went I told her exactly how I like my eyebrows to look. She did exactly what I asked for. Love how my eyebrows look every time I leave here.

I'm new to the area and I was very hesitant to place my brows in the hands of a stranger but I need not have worried. Christina is a professional.
I was early to my 8:30 am appointment and Christina was ready and waiting for me. I came in with a full forehead of hair and in just 15 minutes I was left with two beautiful symmetric arches appropriate for my face. I was a little red afterward but Christina applied a little cover up to have me ready for work. My brows have never looked better.
It did take me a couple months to get in, but it was worth it and I booked my next appointment as i left, which shes emailed to me to remind me. -

I am so happy! I am a tough customer - pale, dry, sensitive skin, blonde brows. You need to dye my brows just to see them.
I now have beautifully shaped, dark brown brows with an arch that fits my face. No redness - not even a spot! This place is adorable to boot. Such a find. Well worth the wait and their appointment process (they do get back to you - just be patient). -

I got my eyebrows done here about a month and a half ago and was really impressed with the shop decor. It's really small but cute and quaint. I had a little trouble finding it though.
Got my eyebrows done by Christina and she did a good job. She's really easy to talk to and talks to you as if you're one of her girlfriends.
The only downside about Bombshell is the time frame between appointments. I was there about 10 minutes early and had to wait an additional 10 minutes while she was finishing someone up. And as soon as I sat in the chair, the person who had an appt after me was already there. Also, I felt like she was rushing on my eyebrows. She did a good job tho. -

I'm so happy I found this place. My eyebrows have never looked so good!
Yes it takes a while to get an appointment, but that's because Christina is that damn good. For real, this girl knows her stuff. And she's a total doll. She makes the process as painless as possible and chats with you the entire time.
I've gotten my eyebrows done at multiple shops in the past and the results have never been consistent or anywhere near as great as they are with Christina. She gives me a beautiful arch without making my eyebrows too thin. She listens to what you want, takes her time and the results are always wonderful.
Bomshell is the most appropriate name because that's what I feel like when I leave here! -

Highly recommend. Christina really knows eyebrows. A little expensive at $25, and it will take around 4 weeks to get an appointment. However really worth it.
Would love it if they kept some teatree oil to put on after doing the eyebrows. -

I visited Bombshell for the first time yesterday and was a bit intimidated because I had never had my eyebrows professionally waxed.
The minute I walked in Christina made me feel totally at ease. She is super talented and gave me the perfect shape and arch that I wanted. Plus, she's such a cool chick and so easy to talk to.
Before I left, I booked my next appointment...enough said. I dare anyone to find a better waxing salon on the Peninsula. -
Review from Allie M.
Oakland, CA
What a gem! I've only gone here for my brows and I left looking and feeling amazing. They do such a wonderful job but my only sadness comes from how difficult it is to get an appt here. You have to schedule months in advance which is so hard for me, the sometimes commitment-phobe, especially since I live in the East Bay and have to make the journey down here. But don't get me wrong, the journey and the wait are worth it.
Bombshell is such an itty bitty (although quaint) spot, be careful not to miss it! It's hiding in a little gazebo area on 25th closer to El Camino so if you're confused like I was as to how you had never seen this place rest assured, you're not crazy... it's in hiding. -
Review from Jen H.
San Mateo, CA
Getting the first appointment is a bitch as others have pointed out. Be prepared for a 4-6 week leadtime, and the back and forth via email is a bit inefficient. Once you are in though, Christina is worth it.
Tip: Save yourself some time and make your next appointment while you are there. Christina can bust open the calendar and book you on the spot. -
Review from Michelle W.
San Francisco, CA
I have been searching everywhere for a good eyebrow waxer! I finally found it here at Bombshell. My eyebrows have never looked so amazing. The name "Bombshell" is quite fitting for what Christina does to them. She plucks mine, because my skin is sensitive, but she does it so clean and evenly, it looks like they've been waxed. She shapes them into the most fit-for-your-face shape ever that accentuates all of your features. Then, she'll color them in after and make them look a-ma-zing. I really think the $20 is worth it here. Plus, the sisters are really friendly and welcoming, so that's always a bonus!
I really didn't want to take a star off, but I really dislike how it's so hard to get a hold of them. I can sort of deal with the difficulty of booking an appointment when you want to, but to call continuously throughout the week, and not get a call back after you leave a message does not make me that thrilled. They're pretty good on e-mail, though.
Guess I'll just have to deal, 'cause I have no plans to stop going here anytime soon! (That's how good they are). -

I accepted the opportunity to be the first male Yelper to have my man brows done. Yes, my man brows. How about that?!!! I gave my man brow virginity to Christina and Stephanie on their BOMBSHELL Birthday Party on 11/17/07. What a way to celebrate! The process took less than 15 minutes and was completely painless. Yes... I flinched at the first wax strip but after that it was all smooth sailing. So how did it come out? AWESOME!!! My well define brows are HOT and emphasize shape!! Here's why you GUYS should visit BOMBSHELL:
- When women know you maintain your brows, it shows you pay attention to details.
- Any straggly hairs need to go unless you're comfortable with the Geico caveman look.
- Eugene Levy eyebrows are not that sexy....neither is Burt from Sesame Street. Besides it makes your look older and less glamorous.
- Self plucking is boring. Having an attractive woman do your brows is exciting.
- It's sensual when a woman's fingertips are running through your smooth forehead area.
Will I go back even though I live in San Jose: Hell Yeah! Why not? I'm comfortable with BOMBSHELL. They took my man brow virginity already.
Parking: Try parking in the two hour spots because there's so much to explore on 25th Avenue. They have parking officers chalking tires.
Who's getting 2008 BOMBSHELL manly brow birthday gifts from me: Ron Jeremy, Omar T, Ed H, Ron S, Gur E (yes you bro!), Gene A, Mikey U, Mark A, Lou Easy, Jedi Chris, Omar B, Noah D, Ron R, Salty B, Chris S, Scott L, Jorge G. and you all male mofos on my friends list!!! HA!
Thank you again Christina and Stephanie! YOU GALS ROCK! -
Review from Mimi L.
OMG, after all these years of plucking and waxing my eyebrows (on my own and getting them done at numerous places), my arches have been in the wrong place this whole time! The last time I got my brows waxed in the FiDi by my usual girl, she drew blood. A fine line on my right eyelid was bleeding and scabbed a day later...it looked like I had gotten into a fight but I had to explain to people it was from a waxing accident.
Soon after, I read Connie C's 5-star review of Bombshell's 1-year anniversary party and her wax and tint job, so I decided I'd pay Christina a visit. Trust me, growing out the brows for 2 months can be hairy (literally), but it was totally worth it since Christina was able to reshape my brows correctly. Before starting, she gave me options about keeping them thicker and filling in a little bald spot I have or going thinner. I appreciated the time she took for the brow consultation and the care in the actual waxing cuz brows are serious biz. Even though I was her last customer on Friday night, she didn't rush the process at all. She said Saturday's her busiest day and recommended I stick to weekdays if I want to see her at her calmest.
I also got my brows tinted (dyed) since they are fine and a lot lighter than my hair color. We didn't want to go too dark for my first time, but after washing my face I could see the color's already faded a little. Next time I'll get them a little darker. Bombshell will definitely become part of my monthly routine. It's $30 for wax/tint and an extra $5 for upper lip. With my new arches, it takes minimal movement to go from neutral to looking surprised to scowling...so don't piss me off! -
Review from Kara D.

I felt a little narcissistic after leaving Bombshell. I felt like the rear view mirror of my car was meant for looking at my eyebrows. I felt like I appeared rested for the first time, in my life, ever.
Let me go back in time: Kara D. exits the womb...the doctor says: "It's a beautiful baby girl...but she has bags under her eyes?!"
Yes, I was born looking tired.
Yet, today, after the brow guru Christina did her magic on my born again virgin brows, I look awake and refreshed. 20 bucks and I look "perky!" Dear Lord, where has Bombshell been all my life?
I picked up my "brow card" which gets you an 11th brow shaping for free. I think this may be one card I actually cash in on.
The best part? Now I can do my sultry one-brow lift 10 times better....watch out. Forget about Bette Davis eyes, I now have Bette Davis brows... -

The woman is a miracle worker. I walked out of that shop with the brows I always wanted but never thought I would have. Men, and even some women, may think the perfect arch is the simple pluck of a couple stray hairs but it is not easy to create the shape that compliments your face, especially after the occasional over-plucking incidences. The shape of your brows does make a difference, a huge difference, to the presentation of your face.
This is why Christina is more than just a waxer. She is an artist. With a quick appraisal of your features she applies the wax without hesitation. I would have liked a bit more consultation about the arch I wanted but I suppose a person's face does lend to one shape.
She waxes, she pulls, she plucks and she trims. Christina then fills in the brows and applies makeup to the skin she has waxed to cover the tell tale redness. When you see your new brows for the first time, you look like a totally different person (in a really subtle way). It's amazing.
As though the brow shaping weren't enough, the barely-there lingerie, costume jewelry and unique purses scattered around the boutique add to my love of Bombshell.Listed in: My ROTD's

Review from Mina B.

I have bushy, thick, manly brows. I can thank my father for that, I look just like him, right down to the big woolly caterpillars sitting above my eyes. I never knew how to shape them properly, and even when I got them waxed before I wasn't happy with the results ("can't you make them thinner? Can you even them out a bit more? Can you take a little off the top maybe?") I figured that with brows like mine I was determined to look like a bad mixture of my dad and Brooke Shields for the rest of my life, so I'd just pluck them now and then and GIVE UP.
That was until I met Christina. It turns out that my thick, contentious brows are GREAT, because they don't need dying, and there's plenty of raw material to work with.
Walking into the tiny shop I knew I was in the right place when I saw the "Yelp loves us!" cards on the counter. There's barely any seating in the shop, and only one chair for the brows but that's all these ladies need. I watched the woman ahead of me hop out of the chair looking fabulous, climbed into it myself and said goodbye to my bushy brows.
Christina asks me if I just want them cleaned up, and I tell her to do what she thinks is best, I want them to look great. A grin spreads across her face, she pumps her fist and says "I LOVE when people say that!"
I've been waxed before, I've had good waxers and bad waxers, and Christina is definitely a great waxer. There was minimal pain, and Christina was amazing. She shaped, she trimmed, she plucked, she waxed, she combed and shaped again. When I saw myself in the mirror I barely recognized myself without those heavy black brows that had been a permanent source of disappointment in my appearance my entire life. I felt like a model, I ogled myself in every reflective surface I could find, and felt giddy for the rest of the day, all for the cost of $20.
So thank you so much Bombshell. I love you just as much as Yelp does. -

I have very few eyebrow hairs. Thanks to the two sweet and amazing owners of Bombshell, Cristina and Stephanie, I can get my fair brows tinted and make them look more full and defined. These girls came from Benefit, so you know this brow bar is top notch!
For the manly men, brow waxing is not a girly thing to get done. I know a lot of guys who have unruly man brows that would really benefit from the services these girls provide. In minutes, they'll give you nicely cleaned up man brows (and two brows instead of one in some cases!). Now that's hot!
Ps. This little salon/accessories boutique is located in an easy to miss courtyard on the first block of 25th. I've been getting my nails done down the street for months and never realized this area existed! -

Bombshell is run by the worlds best team - my very talented daughters. I've successfully run my own Ferrari automobile service and repair business for over 20 years on the Peninsula and my daughters have watched and learned while growing up that pride in your work and great customer satisfaction in very important part of any business being successful. Obviously they learned very well and I very proud of them and believe me when I say I have very high standards - I'm a Ferrari Tech. Recently I added a new feature to my business which incorporates the Bombshell's Services. I found when I had a large job comes through the shop I would surprise them with a Bombshell gift certificate - it turned out to be a hit.
Ciao for now

Christina is an angel sent by the brow gods to save the arch-less gals (and guys!) in the bay area. Those cursed with the Burt 'n Ernie caterpillar mess can also find salvation here at Bombshell.
Whilst in Christina's chair, all you need is a brief mention of what you want and don't want. And she GETS IT. I stepped in to her shop, sans celebrity photo, and asked for a framing high arch. I basically told her I wanted the opposite of Drew Barrymore's brows. (Eck) This sweet-natured gal chatted me up as if we had been long time chums. I told her of my recent travels to Beijing and Vegas, while she swapped traveler tips she picked up after visiting Cabo.
Book your appointment in advance- her schedule is nearly always full!
