This is where they have the county fair every year.
Truck Pulls, Demolition Derbys, Rodeos, 4-H sheep herding awards and all the other hillbilly hollister shit kicker activities you can think of.
They have the biker rally out here as well as a campsite / beer fest during 4th of july weekend.
There use to be a big public pool out here that I would come to as a kid but they filled it up with a cement when a kid died in a freak accident there (BOO!).
People rent out the pavilion for weddings, barmitzvahs, cowboy get togethers and birthday parties and what not. You can do some party crashing if you show up at the right time with a few choice words, then before you know it it's free booze and food all night.
Oh and this is way out in the cuts so beware city folk!

Bolado Park...what to say about this place....haha just know that Hollister is sort of a redneck town and this is the place where the county fair happens, so you'll definitely see a lot of cowboys and cowgirls here. I'm not saying being a redneck is bad. I'm giving you an idea of the environment. When the fair happens (sometime in october), of course it's the place to be. It gets packed here and it is a lot of fun. I've also been here for other school-related activities like my 8th grade graduation, prom, senior parents dinner, cheer camp, and stuff like that. It is a GREAT facility. The place where you can rent out is pretty big (not as big as the Vet's hall downtown). The whole park though is huge! Come check this place out when the fair happens because it is a lot of fun and it's another thing that Hollister is known for. There are shows, rides, merchandise, and freebies.
