I can't believe I forgot to review this place, lol...Oh well so many places to go people to see (sarcasm).
Anywho, I got the Deluxe Sugar Body Scrub (courtesy of Groupon) and Jay took excellent care of me. I came out smooth as a baby's butt, seriously!
Now this is not for the faint of heart, because they use these scrub mitts that are like loofah pads along with the scrub mix (made of large sugar crystals and oils). If you need lighter pressure you should specify it. The facial massage is a reflexology type massage, not a spa type facial that you make an hour appt. for.
The service was great though and took about 50 minutes, plus an extra 5-10 for me to shower off afterwards (the mix does have a blend of natural oils!!).
It was very relaxing and nice to leave clean and refreshed. Jay is great. -

I was led here by Groupon for the Chocolate Wrap and Swedish Massage. My masseuse was very sweet and accommodating! She used just the right amount of pressure and always made sure everything was going smoothly.
For their service, I would say it's a bit pricey, but all in all, it was a good experience for me. -

Went in because of a Groupon, left in total bliss. It was my first time there and not a bad experience at all. Rooms are small, and a little noisy at times, but the massage was perfect and the staff extremely friendly and fun. After our couples massage, we decided to stay and take advantage of a few more of their services. With Groupon, cheap. Without one a little more pricey than a cheap salon. So worth it.
Wife would have written her own review but she is still on cloud nine! -
Review from Rebecca B.

Went in for a couples massage and were quoted for $39/ea for 1 hour but we'd have to wait 30 minutes. We came back and all of a sudden, it was $20 more because it "was in the same room". Why'd you say $39 ea the first time then?
Masseuse was too firm and still too firm after I complained that it hurt. It was quite uncomfortable and not relaxing. When she massaged my legs, she kept pushing too hard on my shin, which hurt as well. She did a facial massage then kept sticking her fingers in my ears...??? She did a scalp massage but kept pulling my hair from the moisture on her hands. During the full hour, she must have moved the massage table 4 times, each time making this loud screeching sound across the floor!!
Afterwards she complained that I couldn't take it. It's not about how much pressure I can take or not, it's what I find comfortable for the service I'm paying you for.
Fiance had a good experience with the other person, but we won't be going back. -

My boyfriend and I got the couples hot stone massage with the champagne and chocolate through Groupon, and we got there a few minutes early just to make sure we got there in time. The Spa was clean, smelled good, and had a pleasant ambiance. I was really excited because it was my first professional massage, and Mila, my massage therapist was extremely friendly and put me right at ease. It was awesome bring in the same room with my boyfriend who was handled very well by Jay who had her work cut out for her since he was a very stressed and tense boy, but he left feeling like jelly. :) we had a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back.

So I bought a deal on Tippr:
Total Spa Package for just $65!
Valued at $679, this package from Body Lounge Spa provides you with heaps of heavenly pampering you'll love. Included, is the Body Care Consultation Aeromatherapy Sensory Experience - 30 minutes of relaxing massage for scalp, neck and shoulder, as well as their Arasys Body Slimming Treatment. You'll love the IEllios non-surgical facelift, and 30 minute Hypoxi Fat Burning System. You also get their Professional Teeth Whitening Consultation, which includes a complete teeth whitening procedure. And when you've completed all those, you get a follow-up Body Care Consultation Aromatherapy Sensory Experience with the 30 minute relaxing massage you've already fallen in love with.
I called and made an appointment to do multiple stuff in one day because this place is far.
I just did the Arasys Body Slimming Treatment
Hypoxi Fat Burning System
Massage
Kinda a rip off.
I ended up paying $85 for "tip" because 20% gratuity from each treatment - no matter if it was good or bad.
The Hypoxi Fat Burning System is you laying down with your lower body in a suction tube and cycling while heat is on. I felt like it did nothing. I just cycled and it really did not feel like I was burning anything.
The Arasys Body Slimming Treatment was no comfortable. I felt like I was going through electrical shock but it's just major vibrations (and not the good kind). It supposedly just contracts your body to lose inches but honestly, it's temporary and it just contracts muscle. I didn't like it and I felt like it doesn't work.
Back massage - a chair massage... it was fine... but you could go to San Gabriel to get a better deail on it.
Customer Service:
It was alright. I didn't feel like I was at a spa with people helping you constantly.
LOCATION:
Small, hard to find. Drive slowly.
Parking in the back. Double park. So try to find street parking.
Overall... not worth the money.Listed in: Daily DEALED

Dear Danette,
A few suggestions:
-Arrive on time.
-When asking a customer personal medical/health history questions, do it in private not in front of other customers. Contact info, too.
-Clean up your space.
-Calling yourself a "medical aesthetician" does not make you a dermatologist.
- A lancet is not a weapon.
-Cover the customer's eyes when you turn on that 1,000 watt magnifier.
-Know the difference between a mole and a zit.
-Stop talking. It's a facial, not a diagnosis.
-When a customer is flinching, it's not that they are "so sensitive" it's because they are being abused.
-Never say, "Not for Groupon customers." I guarantee if Groupon isn't working for you, it's not the Groupon.
-Dress appropriately.
-When a customer gets up to leave in the middle of a treatment, stick around to ask what you might do differently. It's a good way to avoid negative Yelp reviews.
Sincerely,
Kate -

TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM THE MANAGER!
I went in for a simple refund and got disrespected. I'm sure their service is great when you do what they want, but on principle i must say that I am disgusted with the way I was treated and suggest any other spa. -

AMAZING!! My first time having a hot stone massage was here, and it was pure heaven. Mila was great, I had a lot of tension so I told her to go to town and apply pressure, and she had the magic touch! Afterwards I felt so relaxed and at ease, it was truly a great experience. And it's close to home, so I will be coming back! The free wine doesn't hurt either :)

I came here using a Groupon for the a Deluxe Organic Sugar Body Scrub ($129 Value, paid $49). It was easy to make an appointment. I had a choice of coming in the same day I made the appointment.
Place was easy to find via my GPS. Came here right after work from downtown LA. The spa is located in a very cute part of Sherman Oaks. Parking is in the back, tandem parking. Thankfully I found a space that did not block someone else.
Jay was the therapist, and she was very attentive. The spa is very clean, smelled good, and had plushy couches. Jay had me settle down on the bed nude (with little towels to cover my bits) and then proceeded to come in and out of the room several times. I thought that was odd. The scrub itself was pleasant, and not as abrasive as Korean spas.
After I was covered in sugar and she used the Clarisonic brush to remove the top layer of dead skin, she proceeded with the massage, which was interesting because of the salt crystals. I asked her to be firm, so she was VERY firm. She sped through the massage very quickly. I am used to 60 minute massages, so the pace of her manipulations surprised me.
The facial was surprisingly rough. Maybe it was because I told her to be firm during the massage, but I felt that she was pulling and pushing the skin of my face around, and she dug *deep* into my cheeks. I guess it's a "facial massage." The tissue she used on my face for the cleansing was not soft, and it was somewhat uncomfortable.
All in all, the scrub probably took about 30 minutes, and the massage and facial was 15 minutes. Very fast, as I said. Then I was told to get up and take a shower. The bathroom was a little dirty. There was hair on the floor and dirt in the sink.
All in all, ok experience. I am glad I tried this place, but I think I'll go back to Korean spas for scrubs in the future. -

I got the 6-treatment package deal through http://screamindailyde....
The massage with Pam was good. However, I was not impressed by all the other treatments.
An hour before my last visit, I received a call asking me to move my appointment back 2 hours (it was for a 90 mins massage). When I told them I had my day all planned out and could not move it, they did not seem to care.
Without coupons, I thought it was pricey for the services they provided. -

Dannette has been treating my face for a year now and I will never turn to anyone else for these services. She is the only reason I drive 30 minutes to make it here once a month. She really knows how to work with my acne prone skin and I have been seeing great results ever since I started going to her. I no longer hide my face under layers of make up. Thanks Dannette!!

I was given a birthday gift card for a facial, manicure, pedicure, and 1 hour massage. I haven't really treated myself to this kind of thing in years, and Body Lounge was fantastic!
The place is small, but very clean. Smells nice, and they offered me a free drink. (I had a green tea.)
Pam was my masseuse and she was amazing. My shoulders and back were full of knots and get took care of every single one. -

This is anti aging and slimming at it's best! ALL NATURAL. I'm HOOKED on IELLIOS facials. Jade has literally taken a decade off my face and she has wonderful hands. I tried a slimming body wrap and lost over 4"! Perfect for an event where I want to be dressed to impressed. What I love about this spa is it's relaxed, there's no pressure to try anything. The owner Terry gave me tips on getting back in shape without pushing any products on me. Plus, I enjoyed a wonderful glass of wine to cap off my night! I'm relaxed and GLOWING! Thank you!

I found out about this place from a local ad showcasing their spa specials. The sweetheart package which includes a mani-pedi, 1hr massage, 15 min foot mass, is a great deal. I brought my friends in for spa treatment too. I like the decor. It is not a high end spa, but does have a great ambiance for a spa of this caliber and its very affordable for those of us who want a little pampering on a budget.
The owner is very nice and friendly. However, I am not a fan of the "new technology" machines that they try to sell in place of traditional facial treatments. But the other services were great. -

I actually found this place by accident. Being a recent transplant to Sherman Oaks, I was looking for a nail place that was open late, and found Jungle Nails. Well it's not Jungle Nails anymore...
I went there expecting a basic manicure at a typical nail place and was treated to a wonderful treat instead!
I
I got a great manicure/pedicure and the place was beautifully decorated and the people were very pleasant. I sat in the most comfortable pedi chair I ever experienced, while drinking a wonderful cup of coffee... definitely more of a spa experience.
The best part is, it was not as expensive as you would think. In fact their prices for everything are very reasonable.
I have since been back for a C facial, for which they've already received a write up in the LA Times. The owner did it herself and it was very good. I've also had waxing (Sharma did that and she is great and very patient).
Highly, highly recommended! Go to Body Lounge! -

I went in for a massage yesterday and I'm a little sore today. I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen but anyways it felt good while she was doing it. I had the one hour Swedish massage and I've got to say it was okay but I've had better. However $39.00 for one hour I'd say is a good deal. Overall I'd say go here if you are looking for an okay place for your spa needs, nothing special...

Glad I tried the Sugar Body Scrub, but not sure if I'd have another one. Practically my whole body was scrubbed by hand and also by a small electric brush. It was not rough, but at the same time, I didn't feel too much of a difference afterwards. It lasted about 40 minutes. I used a groupon for this and was surprised that this treatment was advertised for $139. It was not worth $139. On the other hand, it is a nice facility and my masseuse Jay was attentive.

I signed up for the Spa Promos deal and it was NOT WORTH IT. It was a rip-off and you end up spending WAY more than you would have intended to by "saving"...really you end up paying more than the services are worth.
The massages were SUB-PAR by far and the rest of the treatments besides the manicure were a sad experience for me, having been, what felt like...scammed. I will not perform another naive impulse buy and purchase ANYTHING from anyone off the streets again, not like I did with this "super spa package deal". It was awful... just all over an awful experience and not worth it. My friend also got one and she didn't even bother to go to the rest of the visits because her massage was so bad. That's not good news for that place. Not much integrity, I can tell you that. I'm sorry to have to be the bad guy here, I wanted to love it very much, which is why I bought it in the first place... and I even did 4 out of 5 of the treatments, but, I still felt compelled to write this review because it was that disappointing of an experience.
If you go here, do so to get your nails done. Skip on the rest. -

went in for a much needed massage with my friend yesterday. and it. was. great. jay scheduled me in for an appointment the day before and also did my massage. she's really nice. they also have a special for first time customers! $39 for AN HOUR MASSAGE! (combo of thai and swedish) great deal. i'd say the only downside is that i had to wait 15 minutes past my appt time until my massage started, but for the price, i can't complain.

Love Dannette Koyano who does facials & recently tried massage with Pam. Run do not walk here! Dannette gives the world's best facials. And I think Pam gives an amazing massage. I had a combo of Thai + Swedish for 90 min at an unbelievably reasonable price. Setting is great, staff is friendly, professional & talented. I'm going to do massage followed by facial once a month.

This place has such high tech and great equipment from Europe. I've tried the Arasys system...it's incredible.. you really do lose inches instantly. They have a lot of machines to help you lose body fat, as well as great massage deals and manicures. One of the greatest spas in the Valley for sure!
