Amazing BBQ. This place is TOP-NOTCH! I cannot wait to go back there if I'm ever in East Texas again. Probably the best beef briscuit sandwich I ever had in Texas.

Tried BBQ beef in Nashville twice earlier on this trip and wanted to taste Texas' version. Initially the brisket looked too dry and lean but I was pleasantly surprised that it tasted so good! It was great that you could toast the bread yourself to make your own sandwich. The brisket with toast was so good we had three helpings of bread.
We wanted to try the ribs too but they were out of that.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dawn H.Henderson, TX11537Apr 15, 2024
We were completely dismayed when our dishes were served. The food was seriously bad. Could've been a bad night, didn't care to ask. We felt the service and servers were definitely NOT on their A team. We'll never go again.

We went after the eclipse. The ribs was tender and seasoned. I got my food fast. The place was clean. The staff wasn't rude, but they wasn't the friendliest either.

We were driving through Tatum on our way to Dallas. We were tempted when we passed by and vowed to stop on way back. Best part of trip. Enjoyed brisket, sausage, and a mix of chopped beef and sausage. The beans, slaw and potato salad were all good. I need to find an excuse to get back to Dallas.

Absolutely fantastic ribs. When I'm traveling east or west this is a must stop every time I come through. My favorite is the ribs then the turkey and if you're in for a sandwich you can't go wrong with the sloppy Joe . They have plenty of parking for trucks and they Decore inside is pretty cool as well

Surprisingly really good given the location. Too bad they ran out of ribs. Scrumptious beef brisket. So Smokey and lean but not dry. Amazing. Toast your own bread to your liking. I like it crispy. Would come again if I have the chance. Good competition against the really good bbq places in Nashville.
Be sure to stop by if you ever drive by here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JG M.Marshall, TX44161793Jul 12, 2020
We have eaten here a couple of times and have had it catered as well.
Most Bodacious franchises seem to be well run and loved by many people with well above average BBQ and this one is not an exception.
Good atmosphere, good food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kelly K.Melbourne, FL16752Mar 6, 2019
Simple menu. Simple place. Overnight truck parking so i will be back.
Ribs are kind of chewier than i prefer but the glaze was really good. Peppery and sweet. Probably spicy for most but i have a high tolerance for burn. No smoke ring.
Sides and stuff didnt look that exciting so i just stuck to ribs. Not bad at all though they were the get stuck between your teeth kind. Really nice people.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Richella S.Pueblo, CO42229May 22, 2018
Traveling/Moving from Colorado to New Orleans we were starving and simply tired of the standard grab and go food. Knowing we were still an hour or so away for our final destination for the night I decided to Yelp a place near by to eat quickly yet good. Let me tell you this little place is a true Texas treasure! I had 1/4 lb Turkey, 1/4 lb sliced brisket and 1/2 lb ribs. My husband as 1/4 lb hot link and a beef Sloppy Joe sandwich with BBQ beans. WOW! The meat even without the BBQ sauce was melt in your mouth succulent and the sauce was the perfect blend of sweet yet tart. So wish we would be living close enough to go back frequently. But fellow Yelpers, do me and your tastebuds a favor and stop by and see Larry & Diane Garner and their southern hospitality staff. You surely won't regret it! Sometimes God winks by sending you to a little pre-Heavenly dinner on earth!
