I love going to Boccherini's when shopping in downtown Albany. They have good chai and coffee. Plus, they carry Rocket Queen Cupcakes. Yum!
The atmosphere is totally what a coffee shop should be. Mellow music, not too loud, brick walls, and free wifi.
Bonus: nice kids play area in the back! -

I love the location of Boccherini's, the building is great old town Albany and the environment is great for meeting up with friends or business partners. Being that it is a coffee house you would expect it to have better coffee, I have yet be able to enjoy a latte there but since its more or less the only coffee shop in the DT Albany area I will keep giving them a chance.
Make sure to get some Rocket Queen cupcakes while you are there and you'll be HOOKED! -

I love the building that Boccherini's is in. The atmosphere is warm, and clean. The coffee is good.
The coffee takes a long time to come up, and the hours do NOT suit me. I want to go get a cup of coffee and read at 7 or 8 PM. They close at 4 PM. So, there have been times i would have come down to enjoy that wonderful atmosphere, but couldn't.

Love the iced chai latte here! They use Allann Bros, so I can get the same iced chai at The Beanery, but I prefer this place. Love the adorable table in the window. The potato soup is delicious. Thick & creamy, with bacon. Definitely a place you should check out if you're in downtown & feel like a light lunch.

Mmmm...their chai tea lattes are delicious! I love the atmosphere of this cute coffee shop, especially those two red chairs that I can cozy up to and enjoy my book. I am a little sad that the hours are so short, but I do enjoy it during the times I am there. They have fresh lunch options, and a variety of good soups. The portions here are insane as well! I got the roasted red pepper soup (which was insanely creamy and amazing!) and their veggie salad. You get more than what you pay for, and they seem to really put an effort into their food offerings.
I am making this my little coffee shop in Albany for sure! Just make sure you get here before 3:45 as it does get a little busy, and you definitely want to get your order in before they close! -

The service sure has gone downhill since they opened 1st Burger. Not sure if they are overwhelmed or what, but during their lunch hour asking for them to make a coffee, salad and sandwich the way I like it really shouldn't make me feel like I'm inconveniencing them! I want to support downtown businesses, but half the time I eat down there, the bocc baristas leave me wondering why I come back. Fortunately, the other half of the time is filled with wonderful women that always seem to win back my loyalty.
I love the food & coffee, and will hope I keep running into the baristas with the best attitudes! -

My husband and I stopped in here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon looking for some Rocket Queen cupcakes. Sadly they were out and there really wasn't much out in the way of sweets. An employee came out of the back and said they had FRESH, just baked this morning cinnamon rolls that were delicious! Sold...we bought 2 to go for $10.00 which seemed a little pricey but based on her comments I assumed they were worth it. We paid, got our cinnamon rolls and a tip to microwave them for 15 seconds and out the door we went. Long story short...they were AWFUL. There is NO way they were fresh, they had to be cut with a knife to get through the hardness of the role. The only good thing I can say is the frosting was good. Looking back I think it was one hour before they closed shop until Monday and they had rolls they needed to get rid of so they fibbed to get rid of a few at the last minute. Which I guess they made a quick $10.00 off of us but lost two potential return customers as well.
