Q:
Would a Korean like this place? Aka spice is essential
A:
That depends on whether the Korean in question likes fried chicken wings, yams, collards, mac and cheese, ribs, cornbread, and shrimp. I am assuming that Koreans -- like everyone else in the entire world -- have individual preferences and tastes.

Came in from out of town to get the soul food my entire family in Syracuse raved about and they did not disappoint. The plate was HEAVY and I enjoyed every bit! The staff was friendly and the orders were moving! HIGHLY recommend!

Chicken, mac, and greens are all very good. It's to order so you have to wait but well worth it.

I went to Bobo's for the first time about a month ago and it definitely won't be my last time! I found it through the Yelp app. I have passed it a million times but never noticed it. There're are basically two people in the kitchen cookin up Soul food goodness. The cornbread would be too sweet for my mama, that's how you know it's perfect for me! I wish that they had full pieces of chicken and not just wings, but I'll take it.
Mac and Cheese is my second favorite in the land (the first being the booji mac at The Gate House) and these yams! Ok. I just talked myself into going there this week! I hope they are open.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 11312Apr 24, 2021
FINALLY! A Black-Owned spot in Rochester that is reliable, affordable and a real treat. Yeah, I waited a couple minutes later than what was originally told, but it was well worth it. I wish nothing but the best for this restaurant. 8/10 on the ribs - they were just a little fatty. My niece rated her steak 6/10 - it was just a little too tough & hard for her to cut but the flavor was all the way there. Every side we had was beyond amazing. The flavor is always there, not too seasoned but just enough for you to add whatever you'd like. 30 mins after I got home, the food was still hot and steaming when I opened it. I am a big fan of their greens, cabbage & yams. This place has definitely made it in my top 3 favorite restaurants in Rochester. Kudos to the chef! Oh, and on top of it...they play GREAT tunes while you're waiting for food. I knew every one :)

I was just back in ROC for the birth of my granddaughter. Of course I got a craving for some chicken wings and BoBo's did not disappoint. I can't believe it had been 5 years since the last time I had their wings. Still amazing but once again I forgot to get a side a greens. Keep the awesome food coming.

The area is a little sketchy but if your chicken wings or barbecue connoisseur this place is for you

Houston we have a Big Problem. Wanted to try something new and called But They don't take " PHONE ORDERS!!! which defeats the whole Purpose Of TAKE OUT!! I cant and don't understand why he would not because he seems to have some faithful customers he spoke to coming and going. After getting in line and placing my order I had to wait almost an HOUR FOR TAKE OUT.
NEVER AGAIN. p.s. the food I ordered was ok BUT to me not worth an Hour wait IN PERSON FOR TAKEOUT. Save your TIME and go Elsewhere but if Hanging Around is your thing and NOT an ISSUE with you well......Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah S.Rochester, NY37295371Jan 22, 2020
Have you ever had fried ribs? If not, you NEED to come to Bobo's for a dinner. Even if you have had them, you still need to come. Deep fried, crunchy, but the meat still tender enough to easily bite off the bone? I am droooling!!! They were covered in a really delicious housemade sauce. Mac and cheese was creamy, greens were flavorful, and then the rice and sweet cake pulled it all together. I really had so many flavors with this dinner! And we got TWO of them (fried ribs, Mac and cheese, collard greens, rice, cake) for $15 each--$30 for the 2 dinners. You really can't beat it.
