This is a beautiful county park along the bank of the Snohomish River. Its a bit tricky to get to, but a wonderful escape from suburbia and the city.

It appears that there is a volunteer park on site keeper, but basically you are on your own when out here. It is the perfect spot for bird watching, river wading, and just chilling with the scene.

A quick description of the site:  Every thing starts at the parking lot, which has sani-cans, a picnic table, and a gravel base.  The south end has a gated road leaving it, and is your access to the majority of the park. This road continues about a mile, meeting the river at a levee at about half way and paralleling it for the rest of the time. Near the end of the road, a smaller trail leads to the river at the north end of the levee. There it is possible to explore the river and a mid-channel island if one is more adventurous.
