The place is run down but looked clean so we thought we found a nugget in the middle of nowhere. We were wrong, the fish had no flavor and over cooked, the shrimp was rubbery and no flavor. If you like bland over cooked seafood, this is your place.
On the bright side, the person that took our order was nice, the food was hot, and the bread and fries were good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laura C.Kingsville, TX342Jul 8, 2023
The food had no flavor the wait was long. Yeah those prices that place will be out of business soon it's not like it used to be I don't mind buying paying higher prices but the food was lousy

HOT TAKE: Boat N Net is one of the best, if not the only best place for seafood. I went by earlier today and not many potholes. The drive thru "intercom", is gone, sadly. They have a new rule where you cannot order if you don't have a mask, so please be mindful and wear one. The food used to be greasy but recently it's been getting more controlled. Note, if you do order from here, eat your food right away or it will harden pretty bad.

Doesn't look like the best place but it's one of the few left. The wait is extremely long so I advise that you order a head. The food is good customer service is great.

Don't let the looks of the building fool you. The food was very good, affordable prices, fast and friendly service.

Wow, better than ever. I just dont like the new boxes, they're all white miss the decor with the little anchor. Anyways, took all my kids here today for old times sake, and everything was delicious: the shrimp was much bigger than I remember. I would recommend this joint for mommas on the go, trying to make ends meet without the papas, prices went up a little but not much. It was about $30 for four people to eat there w\o drinks.

This is one of my must stop places in Kingsville. I loved this place when I was in school so now I stop to relive great memories! I always get the jalapeño poppers. They still taste exactly the same as I remember so all good.

I loved this place when I used to live here. They used to have gizzards which not many places have. I enjoy that kind of thing. Chicken was pretty good too.
Yesterday we ended up here for the Net aka fish and shrimp due to Lent. I remember getting it when I was here but that was so *cough* long ago.
First off the place was packed on a Friday night.
We got a number 4 which is 6 shrimp and 6 fish for $11. Added fries. Fries were good. The Net however was not what I remembered. You get 6 small chunks of fish which was nice as they were all different shapes. You know it's made from real fish. The batter coating both the fish and shrimp was a thick cornmeal flour combo. Not light and crispy but thick and chewy. Sadly this made each bite a chewer and dry instead of melting in your mouth as you can get from Long John. The tarter sauce did help a lot which is really tasty!
If you come here I recommend to stick with the boat aka the chicken.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
