These guys rock.
The best customer service I have received at a motorcycle store, and the service department takes care of you. The store itself displays their beautiful bikes and sports a decent selection of gear to boot. Furthermore, coming here to service a bike isn't so bad when you have a nice waiting area to stay in. Free drinks, coffee, maybe food? while enjoying some television and some free wifi. I could totally just hang out here to do homework and study if it were closer to me.
B got his 1200GS here a few months ago and we've been riding into the sunset ever since. His previous bikes weren't that great for two up, but this one rocks. Bryan the sales person is very knowledgeable and just a good guy. He remembered us when we visited this past weekend and chatted it up.
We were picking up a new helmet for B. He's had his current one for four years and they break down over time with the rain and sun. Great thing about BMW is they don't mark up their helmets. Shoei Hornet MSRP $480, but BMW sells it for around $367. Great deal! I also picked up a tinted visor for my helmet.
If you're ever in the market for a BMW motorcycle, check this place out and ask for Bryan.
Still a huge fan. Still making me very happy... PSST guys, going in for my 6K service... ill take my $20 now...:-) Very trusted.

After a few visits in the first 1500 miles for this and that, I have to say its gets better and… Read more »
I have yet to take the plunge into Euro-trashdom, and buy a BMW, but if I ever decide to, this is the place that will get my business!
I've been in the shop a couple of times, and am always impressed with the level of attention these guys pay to you. They have a great gear shop and if I ever win the lottery, I know of a couple pieces of gear that would come home with me!
If you go in looking for a bike, be sure to talk to Bryan - he'll take good care of you!
i was so excited to check out the new store! Unfortunately, i went into the showroom and was told that they could not show me any of the 09 GS models (they had stored in the back) until they got rid of the 08s. HUH!?
Two weeks later, i called to make an appointment to bring my bike in for service. I was prompted to leave a message, so i did. I kid you not, a mechanic called me back 4 days later! (although he did apologize for the delay)
Anyway, it's unfortunate that one still needs to take a quick ride over the GG bridge to the marin dealer for good service.
I stopped by SF BMW motorrad to pick up a bar end weight and bolt for my bike that CalMoto and SJBMW didn't have in stock. nice, SFBMW did.
even better, when I explained my situation that I was traveling and had no tools to attach the bar weight, the parts dept rep went through the shop to find me a tool and even later, when I asked, LocTite to finish the installation. this saved me a lot of time and effort when they could have easily said oh, we can't do this for bla bla whatever BigShop reason, etc.
I'd totally go here again if I needed some parts/repairs while in SF.
What can I say. These guys are great. I didn't walk out of here with a BMW, although I did seriously consider going the adventure route. The on and off road trips I have taken on those bikes have been great. One of the truly double functioning dual sports I have ever ridden.
Looking forward to seeing what Corser does this year as well--like scoring top ten on a beemer in WSBK! Crazy! Heh, in the future, I wonder if hwy9 be krautrocket ridden?
Nice guys, bike is always fixed at a reasonable rate and in a timely manner. Isa is professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable.
FOR SALE: 1999 BMW K1200RS 28k. Dealer serviced, new clutch, brakes, battery. $6,200.
I just took my 2004 1150GS into the shop for service and it was the first time I had been in since they moved out of the old car dealership.
Talk about changing for the better!
The people that were great at the old location are still there and now they have so much more to work with. The showroom is filled with so much great gear it is impossible not to buy something (honey can I have my credit card back now).
And the service center is top notch. I brought my bike in and they set it up great. I feel like I am riding a brand new motorcycle!
Great service, great people and a wonderful new location - just another reason that I am proud to ride a beamer.
Exceptional customer service. I was in the market for a new BMW F800ST, and Bryan Davis helped me out by answering all my questions. He's great because he is very knowledgeable about BMW motorcycles and gets the answers for you if he doesn't know something, instead of pretending to know the answer. The showroom and staff are very welcoming. I ended up buying the bike the next day and it was an extremely smooth and easy process. Highly recommend buying a bike here.
If you were like me and gave up on the old location that was part of the car dealership where the motorcycle dept was treated like an un-wanted step child, give the new location with new owners a try. My super computer run k1200s has had some strange problems. I had taken it to at least 3 other shops, without getting the problem resolved. BMW S.F. spent more time looking into the problem than any of the other shops. And they were finally able to fix the problem! Oh and as an added bonus they charged me far less than any of the other shops. Less money, great work, thanks guys you made me love my bike again!
Haven't been since they moved but I do enjoy the professionalism and efficiency of their service department. I bring my R1150GS in their whenever it needs the tune-up. Issa (service manager) is so accommodating even in a pinch and a good communicator. They are my service shop of choice and I live in Marin.
The former beemer moto section at the BMW dealership on Howard st is no more. The moto business was sold to new owners and moved to a much better location. And it's quite nice. The showroom is large, with a great selection of moto gear, the service area looks tidy and there's a lounge with a flat screen tv playing moto related vids or even a WSB or MotoGP race! The staff are really friendly and I wish these guys the best.

Great shop.
Great staff.
Will get my GSA from them :)
Over the years I have owned six BMW motorcycles (including an R69 which is still in my herd.) I currently have an 800st for commuting and a 1200 gs adventure for when I need to stretch my legs and clear my head.
Eric and Larry run a great shop. The service work is excellent and the pricing is fair. It is a breath of fresh air to have stand alone facility completely focused on BMW bikes.
* if you are an experienced rider and looking for motorcycles, you have to check out the beautiful bikes at bmw motorcycles of sf. they have wide selection for you to choose from, urban bikes, sport bikes, enduros, high performance bikes , cruise bikes... next bike is going to be r 1200 gs from here.
* if you are looking for a bmw bike, go to bmw sf. sales people are helpful and not pushy, wide selection of bmw bikes.
* if you own a bmw bike, go to bmw sf for service. freddy and issa are easy going, very helpful, professional and right on the dot.
this new location has better vibe than the old.
Bought a bike from them and the entire process was easy, low pressure and very professional.
Took the bike here for an oil change. I wasn't expecting to pay $110, but I figured it was worth it to save myself the trouble. The technician who did the oil change noted on my service slip that a mirror was loose--he tightened it, no charge. The next day I'm riding down Hwy 1 and I feel something heavy land on my left knee: I look down and the left handle grip assembly had fallen off. It figures, I would ride the bike daily for over a year *without anything falling off*, and the day after an adjustment at the shop, the entire assembly falls off. Rich at BMW said he didn't think that the technician had anything to do with it, but he would check to see if they had the part in stock to sell me. Oops--now it's a $200 oil change with an hour spent walking down Hwy 1 looking for the bolts...I've owned Hondas and Triumphs with close to zero maintenance costs--is this to be expected from an 'upgrade' to BMW?
Great customer service in both sales and service. Not only do they do great work and know their product but most of them are friendly as hell. Recently took my K100 in for service and even though it took longer than I would have liked I was still very happy with the whole experience. Namely Freddy and Rich behind the service desk. Good guys. A nice reprieve from the often seen knuckle-dragger motorcycle repair shops. BMW Motorcycles, a little pricey, but highly recommended.
I went to this shop and a young man named Eric heiped my wife and I and we received the best of service from him. I would return to this shop anytime. I hope they are in business for a long time.
