One of the Business' Favorite Reviews What's This?
Fro-yo girl here. Happy Halloween! Today is the perfect day for pumpkin fro-yo. Blush developed its own pumpkin flavor - it's organic and it's unbelievable. THE best pumpkin fro-yo. While sweet pumpkin fro-yo is nice, Blush's pumpkin actually tastes like real yogurt, blended with just the right amount of real pumpkin and spices. Mmm. Get some while you can.
They're celebrating Halloween this year w/ a free child size fro-yo + 1 topping for kids 10 and under who come in costume between 5 - 9 PM today. Fro-yo is a perfect healthy treat after or before munching on all that Halloween candy.
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.

Froyo on a cold day is better than no froyo. Right?
I love that this little shop is hidden in a strip mall next to an Amicis with no pizazz, and yet it has great reviews, and the froyo is great! I had a small original today with Reese's peanut butter cups (crushed) and granola - the texture of the yogurt is a mix between Pinkberry and Red Mango - the texture is creamy like Red Mango while the flavor is tangy like Pinkberry. When added to chocolate/peanut butter goodness and crunchy granola, fabulous.
I tried the pumpkin froyo, but wasn't a fan - tasted like watery tart pumpkin to me =/ Original is the preferred!
I went with my friends after taking the kids to dinner at Amici's which is right next door to this location. All I can say was the yogurt was..ok. Nothing to write home about and I would never go there again.
I've had better.
Holy delicious.
Pumpkin frozen yogurt.
Yeah. Just let that sink in for a moment.
Now, add some crunchy granola. Decadent dark chocolate chips.
Still with me?
Now dust it with some graham cracker crumbs.
Enjoy.

Why I love the Fall season: pumpkin everything!
Pumpkin spiced lattes;
Pumpkin bread and muffins;
Pumpkin pancakes and waffles;
Pumpkin pie;
Pumpkin ice cream;
and now pumpkin flavored fro yo!
Who would have thought pumpkin flavored fro yo would taste pretty decent?!?! Perhaps it's just how Blush makes it, but the pumpkin flavor doesn't overpower and the hint of tartness still exists so that it still actually tastes like frozen yogurt. Add a little bit of pie crust for a topping and you're good to go! (I didn't think any of the fruit toppings would go well so I skipped it this time around).

As I was looking at my online banking today, I noticed that I at least come here two times a week. I think I might have an addiction.
The truth of the matter is that this place is completely overrated and overpriced.
The flavor of their Blush yogurt is awesome (dragonfruit and pomegranate I believe), but a small for nearly five bucks without toppings?! Not worth it at all. There are plenty of other frozen yogurt places that offer a similar pomegranate flavor. I've only been here once and I don't intend to go again anytime soon. You really don't get enough for your money here.
Piña colada?! ¡Ay, caramba!
Pineapple and I go way back, but I'm really not a coconut fan. In fact, I will even go as far as to say I hate coconut. What made me change my mind? Try the new piña colada froyo with their new Almond Roca topping and you'll be screaming ¡Ay, caramba! too. Guaranteed.

I'd give it a 3.5. Better than A-OK, but not so amazing that it propels me to sign myself up as a lifetime fan ~
I liked the way it melted on my palate: refreshing, slightly sweet without an artificial reconstituted-from-powder kind of taste. However, it wasn't quite as creamy and luscious as Fraiche Organic Frozen Yogurt. However, it's definitely a decent stand-in on those days when I'm hankering for a semi-healthy frozen treat.
I don't really understand what the hype is. Just another fro-yo place... but of course, I think people might be drawn into the organic non-fat stuff they advertise.
I got the regular, topped with white chocoloate chips and mochi. The bf got the blush flavor and skipped on the toppings.
I admit, you do get a lot... but I'd much rather go to a place where they charge you by the weight of what you get. So much more economical that way since a lot of what I got went to waste.
I'll be back... if there aren't any other options.. b/c like I said, just alright in my book.
Are you people crazy? Four and a half! Well I should say we haven't been here in about a year, but we were definitely not that impressed. We've had our share of frozen yogurt, and Blush definitely does not rank up in the 4-5 star range. I believe I had some plain yogurt with fruit and mochi toppings - the same thing I get at every other yogurt place. It's expensive (compared to Yogurtland and Tutti Frutti), the flavor is just not that good (maybe not plain/tart enough, maybe not firm enough), and there are so many better options. The fruit was fresh though, but I don't remember the portion being very generous.
To think about some pluses... There's ample room for parking... and the inside is clean. And when we went a year ago near the opening, there are like four workers for barely any customers, so I guess the service is attentive and quick. But I don't think we'll be returning here.
Props to Fro-yo girl and Hazel G. for a great recommendation.
What a wonderful, eye opening experience I had last night. I never thought I would ever cheat on Red Mango but the blush yogurt w/ cheesecake was sinfully creamy and downright nasty good.
I'm coming back for more now that I have a new friend with benefits.
Mmm....Blush...You certainly made me do that.
I have wanted to try this little gem for quite some time, so while on my way to Dublin today I thought it was the perfect time to stop in and try this wonderfully reviewed place.
And wonderful it was.
From the nice bright, cheerful, immaculate ambiance to the oh so abundantly fresh flavorful yogurt.
I'm not much into fruity tart flavors, however this is an exception. I tried Acacia/blueberry( was ok)- Original-(good flavor) and Blush- Which is a Yogurt with a mix of some sort of Cactus fruit and I believe pomegranate any how is was very good.
I settled on a small of half Original and half Blush with a topping of big sweet succulent blueberries....Mmmmm sooo good and might I say they really fill it up quite high.
They are a little pricey however they are Organic and you can certainly taste the freshness and quality and for the amount you get it is well worth the extra cost.
Too bad they are so far away however this will be my visiting spot when in the area.
Back to school sale small size froyo for 99 cents!?!?!? I should have gone here everyday to satisfy my froyo addiction.
Of the four flavors Blush has, I really like mango the best. My friend decided to get the mango/blush swirl, and it turned out for some reason to be really mango-y on top, and really blush-y at the bottom of the cup. Oh well. The blush flavor didn't taste like very much. In fact, it tasted more like original tart to me. Still good, but not really any pomegranate or dragonfruit flavors. The mango was really good, just as I remember from last time. We ended up getting mochi as our topping, and it was really soft compared to most places. I like my mochi a little chewier, but this was so soft, like maybe it had been at room temperature for too long?
But who can beat froyo for 99 cents?! Go before the sale is over! Otherwise, small size becomes $4.50 w/one topping!
This is what you call top notch customer care!
A few weeks ago, I got a personal letter from Johnathan the owner of Blush. The letter included a full cash refund AND a $20 gift card.
THANK YOU so much for stepping up and actually care, Johnathan is one phenomenal business owner! I respect that and I will drive up to Dublin real soon to get my Blush fix.

Can you say Pumpkin froyo with graham crackers! It was delicious! Do it now while it is fall!
I triple heart this place! The blush (dragonfruit + pom) flavor is delish and they are not at all stingy with their servings. After they fill up your cup of your desired flavor, they tap the cup to make sure there are no empty spaces and then they generously apply your desired toppings. The place is clean (no self serve dispensers here), the pricing is very fair, they offer a frequent buyers card (Pinkberry, I love you but take a hint!) and the service is very friendly. Two thumbs up!!!
Okay, Okay, first of all, the only darn reason I was in Dublin was because my beloved sister lives there. Otherwise I would have NO business out there at all. Well maybe now I do.
Let me tell you about blush.
It took the place of this horrid frozen yogurt place, something like yogurt castle or some such name. Now Blush, this place is something otherworldly.
I grew up eating plain yogurt, and being Persian an all, we're kind of assholes about our yogurt being the perfect tartness. Blush is basically the best damn yogurt you could ever eat... but it's super cold. I have never had any of their other flavors besides the plain yogurt they offer. I always get half black berries and half mango on it. Also almonds and blackberries are pretty amazing too.
.... I think it's time to go visit my sister!
Bring back pumpkin and I'll raise my rating by one star!
Please, Blush, get another yogurt machine and have 6 flavors to choose from. PLEASE?!?!?! People really miss the chocolate....it should be a mainstay. I think the other flavors are ok, but I'm a big chocolate fan and don't get excited to come here when it's not "in season"

At the excellent suggestion of Lolia S - had to venture over to Blush this past weekend to experience their Tart Green Tea
Let's just say, Lolia knows her Fro-Yo!!
Since this was my 1st Blush adventure, I wanted to try the fro-yo in its plainest form so I chose no toppings - this quickly gave to regret as I imagine the mochi would have been spectacular
But the fro-yo itself was extremely delish - smooth, & creamy like ice cream. Starts out w/ sweet, followed w/ an almost immediate pucker due to the tartness - & this is a good thing
Green Tea aftertaste to drive home the flavor & it was the perfect ending to a fantabulous 4th of July holiday weekend
I definitely plan to visit again & will be sure to try a topping or 2, afterwhich I imagine this review will happily get upgraded to a 5-Star rating
For a true-blue ice cream luver, I gotta hand it to the fro-yo
Thank you Anne t for posting this event,
All I can say is WOW! Yesterday was Blush's Customer Appreciation Day and from 2-6 pm they were giving away a free small frozen yogurt with your choice of two toppings. I luckily got there early and was near the very front of the line so it was fairly quick for me.
But I have to give credit to the staff. They were all very friendly, it looks as though they were staffed to handle the crowd (which was out the door and halfway down the sidewalk at times) and the yogurt was delicious. Way to go Blush!

There's the old saying
"Different strokes for different folks."
I say "Different fro-yo loves for different fro-yo folks."
We all have different foodie likes, right?
Very sad to report that my family just was not thrilled with
the fro-yo at Blush...dang it.
We shared a cup of chocolate fro-yo with Reeses. The fro-yo
tasted very bitter to all of us...just not our thing.
We've had chocolate fro-you elsewhere that was not bitter.
Tart...we like. Bitter, we don't like.
The chocolate tasted bitter.
The visit wasn't bad by any means...just checking out a different
fro-yo option in our area.
The establishment itself is clean with a simplistic ambiance.
The two young ladies working during our visit were extremely nice.
They were generous with the Reeses toppings...no service issues
whatsoever.
Really wish I could give the place higher stars, I really truly do.
What I specifically like about this place is that the vanilla-ish/original yogurt does not taste super sweet. It still has a tangy, yogurt taste which I like, instead of the sickening sweet vanilla flavor. I always get the original with yogurt chips and rainbow sprinkles, and I am like a little kid all over again. So refreshing during the summer!!!! Highly recommend.
Yum. Nothing beats fantastic yogurt, fantastic people, and fantastic value at the local froyo place. In other words, nothing beats Blush.
I read the amazing reviews for Blush on yelp and was very excited to try it out. My friends and I found an excuse to come out to Dublin just in time to try it out during the 99c small cup back-to-school special! Expecting nothing but the best, Blush delivered from the moment we walked in when the owner offered us huge samples of Blush, original, strawberry kiwi, and mango. Yumm..
The original was perfect. Creamy yet light and simply great. The mango tasted legit, not one hint of artificial, powdered mango flavoring like some self-serve froyo places use. Blush didn't have as much flavor as I expected, but still top quality consistency, and I guess it was very light, too. Unfortunately, I didn't try the strawberry kiwi.
Anyhow, the owner, Jonathan, is extremely friendly and a very nice guy to talk to. Feel free to compliment this location if you love the yogurt and service, he deserves it.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, they truly are generous here. From pounding the first "fill" of yogurt against the counter to pack in more yogurt...to stuffing the rim of your cup with toppings.
My hat goes off to you, Jonathan & Blush Dublin. 5 stars.
The employees look so sad! I'm not sure why but they do. Maybe I just go there on the wrong days.
I would definitely recommend this place. It's cute and has good promotions from time to time. I especially like to glance over at the ads and other various papers they have against their window.
I can't argue with the price all that much since they give you a fair amount of yummy fro-yo.
I would have rated this place five stars but it can get a little dirty and sticky on the tables and none of the emplyees seem like they want to clean.
Probably because their so sad.
4.5 Stars
Highlights:
1) Cheap 99c Deal!!
2) Extremely nice customer service. Have not experienced such in a while.
3) Fast and efficient.
4) Clean.
Came here with a few friends today for the 99c deal, definitely worth it. No doubt. They asked if we wanted samples and gave us ample amounts as well as filling extra cups for us to try out. Their Blush flavor is the best one for sure! I tried the strawberry kiwi and didn't really like it. My friend made conversation with the owner and the owner seemed like such a nice guy that when he slided my cup across the table for the cashier and it fell over, I almost wanted to tell the cashier that that was fine and I'd take it anyway. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who happens to pass by it.

I get these fro-yo cravings where I'm thinking about fro-yo about 20 times a day. Oh Blush, how you've been on my mind!!
I love coming here. The workers are really friendly here, and they pile on the toppings! My favorite topping are the lychee jelly thingys - at least I think they're lychee jellies... Anyways, if you haven't tried that topping, I totally recommend it!
If texture were everything, blush yogurt would get five stars, no problem. This is a complicated review because I'm a complicated woman. I've put the simple stuff up front.
1) Excellent texture: dense, cold but not icy, smooth and slightly granular. Lovely!
2) Clean store, well organized -- lots of napkins at spoons at the cash register.
3) Bathroom (unisex) was clean, if not spectacular, although they had a couple of cute silk prints on the walls and a very nice fake sculpted shrub in the corner.
4) Okay customer service: the gal accidentally rang me up for $8 something, when I had ordered a small cup with no toppings. When I went "Whoa!" she corrected it. I thought this was a funny reaction, but she didn't see the humor in it. In fact, she didn't say anything, like "Oops, made a mistake there." I guess she overrung and didn't know how to deal with it, verbally; a verbal cue would've let me know she made a mistake. As it was, the silence made me wonder -- are they into overcharging, and only correct it if the customer says something?
On the minus side:
1) It's a web 2.0 froyo place, meaning, it's slick and shiny, and has curved corners and hip design, but substance is lacking.
2) I just figured out what bugs me about the second wave of frozen yogurt places: the fruit toppings are the STAR. No, no no!
The toppings are the supporting cast, the froyo is the STAR of the show, and should be able to carry the show on its own. Example: at Yogurt Park, you can get toppings but if you choose not to, you still have an excellent yogurt experience due to variety and quality of flavors. This can't be said of web 2.0 places: they have few flavors (or a flavor you want is for some reason unavailable), and the flavors range from chemically to bland.
3) I had the tart green tea swirled with original. The green tea was okay, not as flavorful as SoGreen (Oakland), in fact, I'd have to say it tasted watered down. So, a bit meh. I'm not saying I didn't eat it all up, but it didn't leave me breathless (Yogurt Park) or pleasantly surprised (SoGreen) either.
The original was *really* MEH. It wasn't a good partner with green tea, it just got subsumed by the green tea like it was the borg.
I mean really. What's the point? Take original off the menu or reformulate it. It's bland, boring, dull. Again, I think it's meant to showcase the fruit toppings. WRONG, SIR, YOU ARE VERY WRONG! (Willy Wonka voice.) The froyo needs to be able to stand on its own.
3) I was alone and ordered a small. I think it was obvious I was there alone, because, you know, no one was next to me, but when she gave it to me she said, "And what do you want for your second cup" or something like that. What? Um, no. Don't make getting more than one cup the default, like everyone is ordering more than one cup so I should too. That's a bit pushy and I don't like the subtle pressure to buy more than I've ordered. Sheesh. I don't know if that's a regular thing at blush or not but I didn't like it.
4) Cups and utensils: plain white plastic spoon and generic cardboard cups with stickers. They lacked a feeling of specialness, however, I'd rather have great yogurt in a plain cup than so-so yogurt in a special cup, so in the end it doesn't mean much. I understand it probably keeps their overhead costs down, too.
5) Pricey: $3.85 for 6 oz.
You get 12 oz. for $3.10 at Yogurt Park.
Complicating my review, a strange incident occurred whilst I was eating at the outdoor tables: at the end of my yogurt I felt an overwhelming sense of calm and well-being, and good will towards strangers milling about the Tassajara parking lot. I think that yogurt put a chill on my brain, perhaps effecting my hypothalamus and making me feel blissful. :D It got very zen.
Then again, it was 1:30 PM and I hadn't had lunch -- that could've been it.
This is where I really wish Yelp had half stars, because I'd give this place 2 1/2. It was between "meh, I've had better" and "A-ok".
If frozen yogurt was all about texture, blush would win hands-down. As it is, the bottom line is taste, not texture.
Meh. I've had better.
I wish you were closer to my house Blush!
My Mom took me here today after our movie date because her friends had been raving about it. We tried the Pomegranate and Dragon Fruit yogurt and the Guava yogurt. My Mom liked Guava better so we went with that one with some strawberries and shared it. I loved it...creamy just the way I like my frozen yogurt.
Place is small but cute and very very clean. Plenty of tables with lots of kids in the store today. I am sure this is a hot spot on a Friday or Sat night. Service was very friendly and courteous.
A small flavored frozen yogurt with one topping will cost you $4.50.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!
The froyo here is not icey like most places. I have to agree with my fellow yelpers that this place is better than pinkberry AND red mango!!
OMG! You don't know what Blush is? For those of you that don't know how to pay attention to signage and read when you are waiting in line, Blush refers to our exclusive pomegranate/dragonfruit flavor.
Well, that's what I felt the server was saying in her mind with an eye roll, when I asked, "What kind of flavor is Blush?" So I ended up getting a small Blush with mochi and blueberries. Live cultures? Check. Antioxidants? Check. Rubbery pretty much tasteless things? Check. Yum!
This place could have been four stars for me but for the following:
1. No self service. I like to put a little bit of this, this, this, this and that.
2. Don't call them toppings if you are going to pack them on the side. Call them sidings.
3. Dirty floor. It was a busy Sunday afternoon and you had no opportunity to sweep the floor? Or is it something that just doesn't get done? Because it was seriously dirty. Or maybe it's because you put the "toppings" on the side and they just fall all over your floor?
4. And this is my biggest pet peeve about foodservice attire: sleeveless tops. Really? I don't want to see anyone's pits when they are serving me something I'm going to consume. Gross.
Blush Yogurt is the BEST! I love this place... one of my coworkers told me about this place, I went there... have not stopped going since!
I have blush about once every week (sometimes twice). Make sure you get a frequent buyer card, you buy eight get one free! Believe me, once you try it, you'll have eight stamps in no time!!!
I don't get what's so great about this place and what all the hype is about. It's just sour frozen yogurt, big deal. And there's only like 4 flavors. I'd much rather have real ice cream, thank you.
I love the yogurt they serve here. It is absolutely yummy. The store is perfectly clean and well kept too.
Some older kids might not like it here since it is not "traditional" like that TCBY place. Her words not mine. I brought my niece here and she wasn't that impressed.
YUM. Ok, like the other hundreds of reviewers, I love Blush.
I'd complain about location and crappy parking, but that's not their fault. But i do have a tip to offer: It would be easier to get whatever size you want in the next biggest cup--I got a small and it was overflowing and some of my fruit fell off (heartbreaking) and my smarter friend got a small in a medium cup for that very reason. Smart girl. Also, when it's hot and you don't eat fast enough, your yummy yogurt won't last long.
Simple, light and refreshing and at a great price, I'm glad it's not too close to me or else I'd have a problem.
The blush yogurt is SOOO good. I mean the blush flavor- dragonfruit+pomagranate. Even though this place isn't self-serv(okay, I'm a little spoiled because of Yogurtland,) it's delicious and worth it. You will leave satisfied. I always get the Blush flavored yogurt with mochi, strawberries and capt. crunch. MMMM!! This place is my absolute FAVE yogurt place!
YUMMY!
I coach soccer during the afternoon and I have a 30min break with is just long enough to run to Blush. The fro yo is great! at little expensive, but good non the less. I tried the dragon fruit one, but the pineapple has become my favorite. The staff is nice and I like to think I'm being health since everything is organic.
I came here today with several of my friends for the 99 cent small cup special, and was surprised by the generous amount of yogurt in the cup. They actually pound the cup so that they can fit in even more yogurt! I actually found the amount so generous that I gave my friend the rest of my yogurt because there was just so much! Feel free to ask for samples. The workers are kind and give huge samples. The place is clean, and the yogurt quality is stupendous. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who would happen to pass by it.
Sadly after movin' to the Yay Area, I've realized that the "Y" in yay doesn't include much yogurt! :( Luckily, I've found a yogurt place that is in my "hood"!
Not self-served like Yogurtland (though there's one opening up in San Ramon off of Bollinger Canyon where the Jamba Juice used to be) and more like Pinkberry, my small original flavor yogurt with mochi topping came to a total of $4.12, a bit expensive compared the same deal I would get at a self serve place.
Very satisfying though and the small with one topping was definitely just the right size for a after dinner dessert!
The ladies that ran the place last Tuesday night were really helpful and very willing to give out samples to test their flavors (seems like when trying out all the 31 flavors at Baskin-Robins and then asking you to buy more...what, I'm DONE eating after your delicious samples! :)
It's kinda hard to find at first since If you're in the Safeway parking lot, you can't drive directly to the store front because the entrance and exit is only one way. My advice is to turn into the shopping center from Tassajara Rd!
a few weeks ago, i got a private message from jonathan, owner of blush. it regarded a yelp thread where janice s. posted allegations and insinuations regarding blush's products, alleged blush business practices, and maligned blush's business . the thread evolved to a crescendo when i totally debunked each falsehood and each guilt by association accusation. the thread was then yanked by yelp.
in short, jonathan wanted to meet me and personally thank me for my
"fierce defense" of blush.
sampling:
-pineapple(the newest flavor): delicate pineapple essence, not overpowering, sugared by organic c & h sugar.
-chocolate-less sugary taste than others, less chocolatelike
yodrips:
-because of permit issues, blush burlingame and s.f. may not open till august at the earliest. frank, who looks like jonathan's younger brother, will be operating the s.f. and burlingame branches.
-many inquires have been made to blush for franchisee opportunities.
-upcoming manufacturing arrangements with straus will be announced soon.
-family members helped me finish all tne freebies.
