I've been going to Blueberry Moon for about a year now.  I used to go to another salon in the neighborhood.  The stylist was okay, but she just couldn't handle my bangs, then I found Blueberry Moon (due to the reviews).  I choose Ryan because of the reviews (yes I'm a sucker for  Yelp reviews).  Before my visit, I'm thinking "big deal, how can a haircut cost as much as a nice dinner?" Ok so before Ryan I had never paid $75 for a haircut and I rarely pay full price for anything, but it was sooooo worth it.  I have had all sorts of bangs with him, started with full bangs now they're side-swept.  He is A-MAZ-ING.  He tamed my long thick locks and I LOVE my layers.  They're very easy to blow-dry in between visits.

The staff is very nice.  Kevin gives a really good scalp massage! They take your coat away and always offer a beverage, that kind of service is expected for a salon of this caliber, but it's still very nice.

My amazing Aunt and fellow yelper, Sue T, gifted me with another wonderful groupon - this time to Blueberry Moon. What a fantastic gift and lovely salon  & spa!

Blueberry Moon is in a very nice and hip area of Lincoln Park with expensive shops & classy women at every turn.

The salon itself is very nice, tons of Aveda products to peruse while you wait. The staff was very friendly, I was offered magazines and their Aveda house-made hot tea while I waited, naturally sweet with licorice root. It was unique and delicious.

My technician for the day was Christina and she was AMAZING. So friendly, down to earth, genuinely kind & very easy to talk to. I am always a little self conscious that I am going to have an overly done-up snobby woman when I go to a high end salon or spa but Christina was so extremely nice, made me feel very comfortable and a true expert at what she does.

My groupon was for the Intensive Hand & Foot massage. I started with a really comprehensive, relaxing pedicure. After a soak and general clean up of the toes, sea salt scrub was massaged into my feet and calves, washed off & followed with a foot mask applied with an extremely soft brush. This was so soothing and soft and wonderful! Your feet, with the mask on, are then wrapped in hot towels and left to sit for a few minutes. I believe the scrubbing of the pads and heels came next which is always nice. Next an essential oil massage on the feet and calves, this was the best part! I believe after this a soothing lotion was applied and then Christina painted my toes perfectly!

Next came the no chip mani - first a scrub was applied to the tops and palms of hands (but not fingers, you apparently cannot have anything on the nail beds like lotion when using CND no chip product). Christina shaped and buffed my nails perfectly and flawlessly. Before the color was applied more hot towels came out to massage off the hand scrub. Then came the no chip color. After the color the manicure ended with a hand and lower arm massage with a soothing lotion.

Christina again was a true expert, every hand motion had a purpose. She didn't yap at me the whole time but carried on great conversation with me when I wanted. My nails look amazing, my toes are perfectly cute and my hands and feet are so soft!

This is the best spa experience I've ever had - easily the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had, bar none. Again, this place wasn't uppity, I didn't feel unwelcome at all. I felt truly pampered. Christina even helped me put my socks and shoes back on & helped me into my coat! Dare I say I love Christina?? Because I think I do. If you go for any nail services you must request her! No, make that DEMAND her - if she isn't working that day, change your appointment! I'm serious!

I don't know that I could EVER justify paying the full $190 value for the Intensive Hand & Foot massage but if I ever see groupon deals again I am jumping on it! Too bad this place isn't way closer to me but in a nice, fun area and plenty of pay to park spots up and down Halsted. You can probably park on all the residential side streets too but not sure if they are zoned.

Thanks to my wonderful Aunt Sue T who provided me with this great gift & to Christina for being a goddess with hands & feet!

I bought the Groupon for the Ultimate Hands and Feet Spa Package last year, and then I promptly forgot about it. When Groupon sent me a reminder email, I saw it, and figured it would be a great birthday pampering for myself. Because I tortured myself by working on my birthday this year, I made my appointment for the day after.

I was lucky enough to get the only free parking spot available on Halsted when I arrived for my appointment. I figured that must be a good omen for how the rest of my time there would go, but I think I was actually more excited about the parking spot than my time at the salon.

Ok, maybe that was a bit harsh. My nail tech was Cristina, and she's really nice. We had fun chatting about silly Chicago policies and makeup and all things girly. She did a pretty good job on my nails -- they ended up a little longer and rounder than I generally prefer, but the polish looked great.

Which takes me to my next point: the polish selection isn't very large. I wish they would have had more variety in the colors if nothing else. You can have a small selection as long as all the colors don't all look similar.

Beachy is what I think they are going for with the decor, which was really confusing to me considering their name does not even *hint* at a beach escape. The front desk staff, although wearing all black (standard for an Aveda salon), faded into the decor. No personality whatsoever. I felt like they were just going through the motions.

Considering that I can get a mani-pedi closer to home that's a little more detail oriented and MUCH less expensive, I don't think I'll be back. The regular price is $190, and that's just too rich for my blood.

Love love LOVE. I moved out of the neighborhood 2 years ago and I still take the time to come up and see Ryan! I have curly hair and his works magic on it. I have healthy and happy curls with no trace of the dreaded triangle shape (curly haired girls will know what I'm talking about). If you have curly hair go see Ryan ASAP!  (I'm sure he works wonders on straight hair as well) He's also really friend and fun to hang out with it :)

The salon itself is also super cute, everyone is friendly and you get a little hand massage while you're getting your cut. Perfect.

So I went to Blueberry Moon on a whim for Pink Extensions for Breast Cancer awareness month.  I had 2 put in, one of which came out less than 4 days later.  So I called them to let them know and they said come on in and we will replace it.  I went back in, got that one replaced and added 2 more.  Love love love them!!!

Anywho, so I am a huge fan of Aveda products, but the 2 times I have gone to other Aveda salons, they felt...uppity, if that is what you want to call it.  But because I really do like Aveda products and I was feeling kind of stagnant with my hair, I thought I would ask if they were running any specials.  Turns out they were doing partial highlights for $31!  I booked it for the following week and went back in.

They booked me with Kelly, and I have to admit, I totally am in love with her style.  She suggested some hi/low lights and even a shine treatment to help with holding in my color.  And who doesn't love a little discount she gave.  AMAZING person!!!  She answered all my questions about colors, her history, products in general.  Found out that all these years I was using the wrong product for my hair!  Something really small, but has definitely helped my wash and style in the mornings.  Plus, I felt really relaxed and pampered with the scalp massage.

Can't wait to go back at the end of December to see Kelly before a big vacation I have!  I have been raving about her and Blueberry Moon to all my friends.

First off, I've been going here for years.  Ryan O. is the only person in Chicago I trust with my hair.  He's extremely talented and friendly.  The salon is nice, and in addition to amazing cuts, I've also used their bikini waxing services.  They are quite kind and as gentle as possible while still being thorough.

I've found every stylist or waxer I've worked with to be great.  However, they don't get a full 5 stars because of their scheduling.  I've used their online system, and it works, but takes several steps because you have to pre-pay.   The scheduling does sometimes glitch, both online and when you book at the salon or over the phone.  I've run into issues where I was booked at different times than I intended to be booked at--it is more software than staff related.  Just double check if it's a biggie, like an engagement or wedding appointment.

LOVE Grace! She's hilarious, listens and offers helpful (not pushy) advice. I've gone to her for a cut twice now and she's never disappointed me. I also absolutely love aveda products and salons and this one is right up there with Parlor (New York) and Split Endz (Pacific Beach, CA) as far as service and atmosphere go. I've also been asked for my feedback directly from the manager which I totally appreciate. I think it's great they follow up on their clients.

I just moved to Chicago and needed to find an Aveda Salon for my hair needs--SO glad I live near Blueberry Moon.

I got a bang trim, blow-out and needed to buy some Aveda products.

The girls at the front were lovely, the salon had a beautiful atmosphere, and the woman who conducted my service was down-to-earth and easy to talk to, yet professional.

Definitely going back for a hair cut!

I love Blueberry Moon.  The staff is professional, but welcoming and friendly.  They do great work, create a comfortable enviornment, and aren't at all intimidating, like some Chicago salons/spas.  I've been seeing Madelaine for over a year and a half, and she is the absolute best for haircuts and styling.  She does an amazing job, and is incredibly sweet, outgoing and fun.  And, I completely trust her opinion!  I also appreciate the online reservation system.  While you do have to pay in advance, it's a great way to find out availability.  If I were rating haircut only and the salon experience, I would definitely give five stars.

My one complaint with Blueberry Moon is I want it be a one stop salon and spa for me, but it isn't.  I had an amazing facial, but then the esthetician left.  I booked another, and it was just not a great experience.

That being said, overall Blueberry Moon and Madelaine are fantastic!

Just moved here and visited Blueberry Moon thanks to the yelp reviews being so great!

    - Friendly service
    - Nice, clean atmosphere
    - Scalp Massage during shampoo (yay!)
    - Courtney was great, made sure I was comfortable with the 6 inches we cut off before doing so!
    - For a cut & shampoo, I was out within 1 hour

I will definitely be going back for a color treatment and more cuts! :)

P.S. She informed me that they do the feather extensions too!! So cool looking!

This week is Wellness Week, and Blueberry Moon has a special on their 60-minute massages - they're $50, regularly $85. I took advantage of this and highly recommend you do the same!

I was able to book an appointment the day before, and Morgan did an awesome job with the massage. Not going to lie - I felt a little too "happy" when she started massaging each one of my toes, but whatever. I rarely treat myself to massages, and this one was an awesome experience.

The room is small and dimly lit, there is soft piano music in the background, and they incorporate some aromatherapy based on your favorite of three different scents (the vanilla was my fave). Morgan asked if there were any problem areas she should focus on, but I just said I wanted a more general, relaxing massage... and I got just that! Neck, back, arms, hands, fingers, torso, legs, calves, feet, toes... hopefully she couldn't hear my purring over the soft music. I didn't want it to end!

I really, really hope they have more specials like Wellness Week (which is nation-wide, btw!). I'd love to come back.

(Side note: I'm not sure if the $50 special applies to deep tissue massages, which are a bit more expensive. So if that's what you're after, you might want to call and clarify.)

Jennie contacted me directly and said the technician must have set accidentally set the wrong time on the clock.  At first she offered to credit me for the minutes purchased [in which services weren't rendered,] but I said that was essentially just getting what I already paid for, plus having the inconvenience of all the back and forth and having to go back there - I live in California so it's not that simple.  She and Sarah, the technician, then offered to give me a complimentary facial the next time I was in town.  I'll update my review after I go back for my 2nd treatment.

This was by far the best maincure and pedicure experience I have ever had. My roommate convinced me to buy the no-chip manicure and pedicure groupon for Blueberry Moon. We set up an appointment to go together. I have nothing but rave reviews for both of the ladies who helped us. I had Christina and my roommate had Kate. These ladies are awesome. From the minute we walked in they made us feel comfortable and truly pampered.

We had both never had the no-chip manicure and they took the time to explain the difference and also made sure that we knew that you need to come back for a removal so that we could opt out if we wanted. After that it was just heavenly. From the foot soak, to the scrub and the hydrating mask for the pedicure it was all great. I highly recommend the no-chip manicure. I am normally a girl who gets a manicure and then a day later has chips and smudges. This has been incredible so far. It's supposed to last 2 weeks and I certainly hope it does because my nails look great.

During the whole appointment which about about 1.5 hours the girls chatted with us and showed honest interest in our lives. My roommate and I were able to relax, talk and get a great service all at the same time.

I often go to the cheaper place across the street from my apartment but after an experience like the one I had at Blueberry Moon I will definitely return. The experience with the manicure/pedicure makes me eager to try some of their other services.

So I had a groupon for an aveda green science facial plus a bunch of add-ons, and I wasn't in any hurry until I found out I was soon to move out of Chicago.

I made an appointment with Liz and I have to say she did a wonderful job.  She explained the whole process and provided a calm and relaxing environment. I believe I fell asleep for half an hour - that's always a good sign!

If I wasn't moving, I would completely be going back for another appointment with Liz, completely worth it even at full price :)

OK, so part 2 of the Girly end of the Yelp Charity date was held here.  I signed up for 2 manicures.  Was initially a little shocked at the price but figured, well this is an Aveda salon, there must be some extra fanciness here that justifies the price.

The salon is done in an almost beachy theme, lots of weathered wood and stones with the blueberry coloured walls.  The nail station was in the back.  They offered Chi and OPI polishes.  We had two very nice manicurists, who both did a nice job.  However, the manicure itself was no different than manicures I have paid $15 or even $10 for.  There were not even any fans!  And since there were two appointments after us we had to move to the front, where there are only 2 chairs and those were occupied.  So it felt like "stand around and get in everyone's way" or "pay up and hurry get out".  I opted to leave which was a mistake because even though I was being careful, one nail hit the zipper on my jacket and marred it.

I don't know if this is a standard price for manicures in this area, but I think I will stick with the cheapy places I normally frequent and at least get a fan to make sure I am dry before I leave.

If you read my reviews, you would know that I am never satisfied with my haircut and overly critical with my hair. Sometimes I am a little scared to venture out and try someplace new because someone can butcher your hair...and that's not always good, is it?

Unfortunately my regular stylist was gone on vacation, and I needed a last minute emergency haircut before my big interview. I called several places and finally Blueberry Moon was the only place opened until 9 pm, which is a big PLUS if you work late like a normal adult.

I was paired with Courtney, who was not super chatty and kind of cool. I actually appreciated her not being chatty because I hate making meaningless conversations. I ended up cutting 2 inches off my hair, and I LOVE IT! Granted now it's super hard to maintain, but it's my fault for not knowing how to style hair...

The customer service here is superb. From the warm welcoming at the front desk, to the free hand massage, the atmosphere here is definitely very relaxing.

I didn't know it was cash only for tips, but they were nice enough to let me return the next day to drop of some mulah. There was another receptionist, but again, she was equally warm and friendly.

Blueberry Moon is, hands down, the best salon experience I've had in Chicago, DC or Milwaukee. I like my haircut/treatment so much I'm practically channeling an Herbal Essences commercial.

I went into Blueberry last week for a Brazilian Keratin Treatment with Ryan, who is fantastic. The treatment was reasonably priced, and Ryan also gave me a great haircut (which he included in the price of the treatment, along with two bottles of shampoo and conditioner). Ryan also offered a free blow-out after I'd waited the requisite 72 hours to wash my hair, which looked wonderful (though I'm convinced I'll never quite be able to replicate it at home). The staff is incredibly friendly, and the salon also offers massages while you're getting your hair done.

Long story short, I signed up for Yelp, which I've read for years, solely to tell people what a great experience I had at Blueberry.

For starters, I have had a hard time finding a salon in the city that wasn't over priced and the staff wasn't snobby. Living in the Gold Coast that was common to see.Until I came to Blueberry Moon!  I was welcomed into the store by not one, but 3 girls behind the desk all eager to help. They offered my the typical beverage and walked me right over to a chair. .although I was late (oops!) and thanks to my colorist for letting me keep my appointment, since it can be hard to get into see a good one!

I came in for a highlight only. I chose my colorist Frankie because she was recommended to me by a friend and through an acquaintance.Frankie was great! First we had the discussion of what I wanted to see happen at this visit. We browsed through the swatches of color options and came up with a game plan. Jumping right to the results, Frankie was spot on. Not only did she get my color the way I wanted it, I left with awesome color not a bleach out! I really liked how professional yet personal she was. And I really enjoyed our conversation! What I really loved is that the highlight didn't last 4 hours! She knew what she was doing and you can tell because she was efficient!

While I was processing, Marshall came over and game me a hand massage! It was amazing! Marshall and Frankie also came to check on me numerous times. Right before my shampoo I realized that I didn't leave time on the meter. Marshall ran out to fill it! Even offered to put in quarters of his if I didn't have any.. I luckily did have tons. It just astounded me how much customer service skill they have, and it was genuine!

The experience was top notch and the talent is exceptional. Thank you to Frankie and Marshall and the entire Blueberry Moon staff. I will be returning and look forward to my next experience in your salon.

I have gone to Blueberry Moon off and on for well more than a year. I wound up  going when my regular barbers just don't give the cut they used to. I called (again) the day of....and (again) Grace cut my hair. It used to turn out great somewhere (most of the time) else but it doesn't anymore. And now it turns out/ and GROWS OUT the way I want (again). I just think they do a really good job, and that is want I want every time.

I have been going to Blueberry Moon for about a year and a half and have always had a wonderful experience.  Unbelievably friendly and sweet people at the front desk and on the phone, stellar coloring services from the talented Ashton, and a funky but manageable cut from Ryan.  The salon is always clean, the staff takes pride in their work and has fun together, and the scalp and hand massages you receive at the shampoo bowl are heavenly.

I have always left feeling satisfied and appreciated.  The pace of the salon is a bit on the slow side since they really take their time so I usually allot about 3 hours for a partial foil, cut, and blow dry.

I was in dire need of a cut. I spent about 3 weeks looking at places that weren't expensive but had rave reviews.  Fellow "L" sister, Aurore, wrote a great review and that sold me.

Booked online, super easy and quick. Pick what service you want, pick a service provider, or don't, and pick when you want your service and it shows you everybody who is available! They also show the prices so you can see what your service(s) will cost. You have to purchase a gift card for yourself to complete your booking, so you are essentially paying for it at the time you book it. This made checking out super fast. All I needed to do was give Amelia her tip!

Amelia is wonderful. She's super nice and has great skill with thick curly hair, and hair in general I am sure. She listened to what I wanted and asked a few times how short I wanted to go to ensure that is what I really wanted. We chatted while she chopped away and I had to hold myself back from jumping with joy at how awesome the cut was!

Heart Amelia. Heart the desk staff. Heart Blueberry Moooooooon!

Customer service is a big deal to me and Jenny and Cristina do a great job in this department.  I was not happy with my sports pedicure a while back and Jenny was adamant that I try with a different technician - Cristina.  This was a great mani/pedi that had everything right - relaxation, comfort, advice on color choice, and beautiful nails!  I definitely recommend going to Cristina for a mani/pedi and I hope that Jenny continues to read the Yelp reviews and make changes as necessary because it certainly works!

I just moved to Chicago and have been looking for a new salon to fall in love with. I made an appointment, out of the blue, for a sports manicure...just so I could check the place out.

    I LOVE IT!

The customer service is great. There's no waiting around to be acknowledged...the receptionist greeted my promptly, asked if she could take my bag and pointed me toward the magazine rack (if I was interested). I was very early for my appointment (oh, public transportation) but I didn't wait for long. Christina was ready for me after only 5 minutes of waiting.

The manicure was great and so was Christina's company. She took the time to chat with me and get to know me but she was also very thorough and efficient with the manicure. I wasn't wanting a long appointment...and I didn't get one...she got me out of there, with soft hands and shiny nails, in a jiffy!!!

I will definitely be going back...for all my salon needs. =)

After my past experience, I thought I wouldn't ever step into Blueberry Moon again. The owner noticed I was upset and personally reached out. If that isn't reason enough to give them a second chance I don't know what is.

Jennie (owner) arranged a second appointment to undo the damage done the first time around with the stylist Felise.

Felise was AMAZING! A genuinely sweet person who didn't complain about helping me or my friend at all. She gave us her input on feather locks, while allowing us to decide amongst ourselves as to what we wanted to get done.

I was treated with respect and shown that they can provide good service.

I'm extremely happy with my new feather locks, they look great, are comfortable and I wasn't shooed out the door when I was done.

Jennie and Felise made my Blueberry Moon experience enjoyable and worthwhile.

I learned the hard way why it's cheap to go to a salon academy: you have to save $ on the first round to afford the second round elsewhere. After whining to every friend I could reach about my unfortunate purple-hued tresses and zig zag bangs, I called Blueberry Moon and continued to whine until they let me come in for a color consult the next morning.

(side note: I ended up at Blueberry Moon because of the favorable Yelp reviews and the name. Yep. I'm a sucker for marketing).

Jeff (who is adorable and funny and I love him in a non-creepy I-just-met-you-and-you-don't-like-girls-not-to-men tion-I'm-married sort of way), sympathized, consulted on the actual intended color and fixed my now brown hair lickety-split. I then tried to convince Grace (colorists do color, stylists style...go figure) to fix my bangs by cutting them more which I now realize would give me a modified mullet and/or further the "my 6 year old sister cut my hair" sort of look. I was warned NOT to get antsy and try and fix them myself and instead told to come back in 2 weeks to start the re-shaping. And I will. And then I'll come back again, and hopefully again, paycheck permitting.

    In sum:
    1. Everyone I met at the salon, I liked. And they clearly liked each other and they're jobs. At the unnamed academy where the recently dubbed "Bang Situation of 2011" occurred, the stylist next to my gal yelled at her (my gal, that is) and gave her the stink eye during my time in the chair (in retrospect, maybe she was trying to warn me with her stare...).
    2. My hair looks good. Or as good as it possibly can given the mess above my eyebrows. Jeff clearly knows his shit.
    3. Price. Totally reasonable. Jeff who is one of the more senior peeps still only cost me $75 for the fix. Not too bad.

    Thanks, team!

Yes, it is a hair salon and not a breakfast place
And yes, it is in Chicago - not in Michigan.

I really like it there. Like, really.

I had an appointment at 10. I was out at 2. So yes that may seem like a long time (and it is) but in my mind it mostly shows that the staff takes its time to give you the best experience possible.
    And they do.

Naleena was my colorist  (they are departmentalized) and did the most amazing job I have ever had. She walked me through the all process very patiently, talked hues, shades, highlights and how to give me what I wanted without being able to mouth it (I am silly like that). The end result is just gorgeous - rich, warm, nuanced.
I am almost in love with my hair.

I then switched between the hands of their new stylist, Madelaine but not before an amazing treat during my rinse/shampoo: A HAND MASSAGE. Yep - couldn't believe it either but that was such a nice little touch.....Loved it.
I wanted swept bangs - Madelaine gave them to me.
I wanted to tame my curly hair in the back - Madelaine redefined my cut to give it more weight and ipso facto kill the unruly waves. Less layers in the back, more in the front. Deal.
I also wanted to get rid of the stupid zit on my forehead but Madelaine couldn't help much there.....

The color was a little expensive (the cut is a mere $45 - lovey-love!) but putting your head in the hands of a pro is SO worth it.

    Tips:
    - despite the name - it's not open at night...they close at 9 during the week.
    - cash only for tips
    - 4 blocks from the Armitage Brown Line and the Fullerton Red Line.
    - street parking not too bad
    - Nookies 2 is literally next door
    - you can continue the splurge and show off your nice new hair in all the boutiques around!

Yes, I switched salons again. What is this, my fourth salon review? I don't plan on switching again though. Had a haircut with Stacey and LOVE it. She was really nice, friendly and I didn't have to wait at all. Loved the scalp massage.

Most importantly though - the haircut! I have weird wavy hair that just does not look right air dried unless it's halfway to my waist so the sheer gravity weights it down and smooths it. Stacey gave me some long layers and a short trim since I'm trying to grow it out, and this is the first haircut I've ever had above the shoulder blades where it looks presentable without blowdrying. At $50, not too shabby!

I have a monogomy issue with hair salons. As much as i try i cannot stick with the same person/ salon for too long without getting antsy to try somewhere new.  While i love my usual hair stylist i really needed a color and she could not fit me in for weeks so i booked myself a cut and color here at Blueberry moon.

WOW, after having 2 cups of their delicious tea and playing with the owners adorable chihuahua i was SOLD.  then the actual services, my hair color came out amazing and the cut was perfect.  the stylists were so down to earth and the pricing was on par with what i was used to paying.  I sound like an ad....but it was really that good.

I have to add an update for a couple of reasons:

    1. I had a deep tissue massage with Blum last week. He has the most gifted hands I've ever felt. I've never had a massage where I wanted to make "oooh that feels so good" noises (think Monica from Friends - oops!), but I consciously had to stop myself from making them because it felt that good. He listened to everything I said about my problem spots pre-massage and my body has not felt this great in a long time.

    2. My friend took me to another salon/spa over the weekend to get a mani/pedi. I honestly didn't realize before my experience at the other place on Sunday how much customer service truly means. Spending money on beauty treatments is a nice treat, but I always kind of feel guilty doing it. When I go to Blueberry, the experience from the time you step in the door is awesome and I truly get my money's worth. At this other place, the whole experience was miserable due to a total lack of being customer service oriented. Blueberry Moon really knows how to treat its customers and I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place!

I live nearby, so I've been in several times for mani's and pedi's, and I just tried the Results + Recovery facial.  I just love Blueberry Moon.  Come here when you want to be pampered at a fair price.  I'm a tea drinker, so I love coming in and having them ready with ice tea in the summer, and I love their hot tea in the cold weather months-- such a nice, sweet flavor, even though it's unsweetened!  I've had Kristy for my nails all but one time, and I give her my highest recommendation.  I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have do my nails.  She makes the entire experience so relaxing.  Besides being a very pleasant and interesting person, she also really knows what she is doing with the trimming, etc, and she does an excellent job on the polish.  My toe nail polish always looks good for weeks after.

I pre-booked for the pumpkin pie pedi in October, and got it for $45, rather than $65.  Looking forward to it.  This place does GREAT promotions.

Most recently, I had Tessa for my facial, and the experience was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable, and like Kristy, she made the treatment all about relaxation.  My skin is really sensitive, and she was gentle enough that I left looking incredible (without a hint of makeup); not at all flushed or splotchy.  The Results+Recovery facial includes leg/foot and shoulder/neck massage while your masques are setting, and a foot soak and scrub during the consultation.  So nice after a long work week!  I usually get massages to unwind, but I found this facial to be even more relaxing.  When I was paying, I found out that there was a 30% off promotion that day for my facial, so the 90 minute treatment was just $100, down from $150.  Like I said, I love this place.

I heart Jeff (color) and Ryan (cut)! They are both 5 star stylists!!!  They are both fun and do such a great job on my VERY thick and long hair. Most stylists I have gone to in the past end up complaining about the amount of time it takes to cut and color my hair, but these guys just let me enjoy my time and have me walking out of the salon with fabulous locks.

Jeff worked with me to finally come up with the perfect dark blond mix of 3 hi/low lite combo it took to make me happy! LOVE him.

Ryan cut my bangs/hair over the winter and I have never in my life had more strangers approach me about my cut. If you want bangs, he is your man.

Can't recommend those two any more! The reception staff is always very friendly and welcoming, as well. Always a good time at Blueberry Moon!

I went here between Christmas and New Years, and took a chance. I'd never been before, but happened to pass it on a shopping trip. I worked with Ryan who gave me a fantastic haircut, and was really funny sweet and nice. The entire staff was friendly. They made sure that I was satisfied with my cut, and didn't push products on me.
    I suggest it to anyone!

I tried their Cinnamon Roll Pedi for the $31 Pretty-In-Pink promotion.  They promised this experience to last an hour and have all the special potions and lotions created just for this.  Not so.

Katie (I believe that was her name) did an OK job at trimming and scrubbing.  I could still see many missed details that other places would have taken care of.  Her polish job and foot massage were decent.  I was in and out in less than 40 minutes and not a single cinnamon product was used...wtf?  (Excuse my profanities.)  Thus, even though they claim this is a $65 treatment, it's not worth it during this time. I'm starting to believe if you come in for the Pretty In Pink Promos, most spa places are cutting you short.  Mistake in my opinion.

Save your money and hit up your favorite nail spa instead.

I have lots of hair and I mean A LOT of hair!  My skin is also very sensitive and dry.  So, after using Pantene on my hair for months and cheap moisturizer because I have been trying to not splurge on products, I finally decided that enough was enough and went back to my Aveda products that I love so much.

I was planning on going to the Aveda store, but came across Blueberry Moon on a recent Lincoln Park shopping trip and I am so glad I did.  As soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly faces who asked me what I needed and gave me the best moisturizer and shampoo that I have ever used for my dry skin and hair.  It will be perfect for the coming winter weather and I am looking forward to going back to Blueberry Moon to try their services.

Ok, so I keep coming back here! Last week, I got my first haircut. Andrea did a great job. She listened to what I want and executed beautifully. I've gotten a bunch of compliments!

Last night, I had my color touched up by Katie. I told her to go a little brighter this time because I am feeling bold. She did a beautiful job. All the other stylists were admiring it. Yay Katie!

Plus, they gave me two glasses of blueberry lemonade. Yum!

Also, I now have a whole cabinet full of Aveda products. The new shampoo system for dry hair is AMAZING! Brad is the best makeup artist I've ever had. I love this salon!
