With a sizeable parking lot and at least 50 various machines, the Bluewave Laundromat is a solid facility. Located on the corner of Madison and Ralph next to the 99cent store, BW is my local laundry. They offer both coin operated machines and drop-off services as well as all your washing supplies including detergent, bleach and softener.

The prices were comparable to anywhere else you would go. An extra large washer was $7, large was $5.50 and the smallest size was $2.50. The clothes came out quite clean and what was most interesting was the laundry detergent "hole" was not chalked up with old detergents. It seemed freshly cleaned. We were able to take up six machines (yes, we had that much laundry....it was sheet and towel week) almost in a row! Drying was about $2.00 for 45 minutes of heated drying. The clothes only needed one cycle so for that I was quite impressed. We were also able to dry all our clothes at the same time. No pesky wait or laundrymat tango between machines.

Perhaps the most impressive quality of BW was that the folding tables were clean. No stains. No leftover clothes. No annoying random pair of undies hanging around. It was really topnotch.

The only downside and the reason for -1 star is that two of my white t-shirts came out with a mysterious coloring to them that looked a bit like rusty water or perhaps even well water. Big Boy knows well water...remember, Country Come To Town! Anyway. I was also a bit annoyed by every TV playing the Steve Wilkos (or whatever his name is...the old bodyguard from Jerry Springer) Show. At least one could have had some real news or something. Oh well, I guess you aren't there for informative laundry sessions.

All in all, the BW lives up to the neighborhood laundrymat legend. It serves its purpose and it serves it well!
