I went to Blue Tangerine for a prenatal massage. I was just starting to look/feel like I was carrying some pregnancy weight and my body was ready for some pampering. The salon/spa is so clean and so nicely appointed. The overstuffed couches are lovely and the fixtures/furniture are very nice. Everything about it is calming, including the people who work there.
Kristen, also pregnant (more pregnant than I) gave me my massage. It was great. She has a special massage table with two removable sections so that pregnant women can lay on their stomachs. What a great feeling after so many months of not being able to do this! She gave a wonderful massage and didn't chat during it, which really let me relax.
I would love to go back, now that it has been a few months and many more pounds of extra stress on my body. I can't imagine how she can be giving such wonderful massages while being more pregnant that me, but I guess that's what her body is used to! I felt a little guilty, enjoying such a treat with her having to be on her feet, but she didn't seem to mind at all.
Afterward we chatted it up on the couches with the aesthetician, who was also so friendly and warm. Perhaps I'll get to see her, too, when I can't shave my own legs :)
The price is not unfair, but it is more than her regular massage by maybe 10$ - I think it was 75$ before tip - which ends up being generous because the service and ambiance overall was so wonderful! -

I had heard of the Blue Tangerine and specifically Kristen through the yelp newsletter a few weeks ago. I am 7 months pregnant and had read reviews about Kristen giving great prenatal massages. I am so glad that I went! She took great care in making sure I was comfortable :).
The spa itself is tucked away in what looks like a medical building with other offices. I really liked it because parking was easy and it was easy to find! Can't wait for my next massage! -

I went to this spa a little over a month ago and had a great experience. Hands down it was the best facial I ever had, the hot stone message was great too.
I had scheduled an appointment for myself and a friend, she had gotten sick the day before so I was stuck with 50% of her bill.. but what spa doesn't do that nowadays? They were nice enough to tell me that if they could fill the spot that I wouldn't be charged... but the spot couldn't be filled :\
The day after my appointment they were kind enough to leave a message touching base to see how I was feeling after my treatments.. I thought that was really sweet. -

I have been going to Samantha for my skin care and waxing needs for several years and continued to make the drive from Santa Rosa after re-locating from Sacramento because she is the BEST and I can't imagine anyone taking care of me like she does!
She does my waxing and facials and has really helped to clear up my acne prone skin with her Skin Bella facial treatments (they are amazing)!! She is the only person I would let do my Brazillian wax and all of the friends I have sent to her have been immediately hooked!
I thought about cutting out some of the extra services I have been getting due to the economy but the truth is going to Blue Tangerine Spa for the day is like having a "stay-cation"! It is such a beautiful, soothing oasis and all of the staff are so friendly and calm; you can't help feeling refreshed (like you've had a mini vacation) after treatments with them. So Hawaii may have to wait but I can still get in my appointments at Blue Tangerine!! Thank you Samantha! -

What a little hole in the wall place, but not in a bad way. The salon is tucked away in a tiny medical office building. The area is very quiet and clean unlike a busy strip mall or the hard to find parking spot place in mid or uptown. When I arrived, I was fortunate to catch a esthetician before she went in to see her next client to purchase my gift certificate. I was advised that next time I could just purchase it on line. The salon is quite lovely, small and casual elegant. A lovely light scent permeated the air. The gift certificate was for my pregnant sister in law and she loved the massage . Sis in law was so fortunate to get in before the masseuse gave birth to her baby. Thank you fellow yelpers for your recommendation, especially Natalie and Sara.

I got a massage today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kristin was terrific and I hope to go back very soon. Also looking forward to trying other services as well. I like that it is tucked away and quiet. I highly recommend it.

I'm a little hesitant to write a review only because of the throngs of people that might call this great spa place. Call me selfish. It's truly a hidden gem. The service is great and the staff is super friendly. From facials to massages you cannot go wrong. You feel pampered and relax after every experience.

Love this place. Off the beaten path, clean, quiet, friendly staff, & good prices. Try the two-week manicure. It lasts more than two weeks! Massages are sooooo relaxing.

I very much like this place. Don't let the outside--nondescript medical park--fool you: inside it's a lovely, calm environment, just right for relaxing. Kristin gives really good massages and has a gentle manner. What's more, the prices are better than some of the less nice places in midtown. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a massage here! You won't be sorry.
