Been going to the Blue Orchid for years. Menu changes frequently and everything is the creation of the Chef. You won't find your typical standards here. We go anytime we want a special dining experience. I've tried food here that I have been reluctant to eat elsewhere. Excellent choices for appetizers include the Chef's signature mushroom dish made with 5-8 different mushrooms, any rendition of mussels or the Habanero crab cakes. His seasonal soups, all freshly made are wonderful. Great entres include the tuna, snapper or steak.

I first went here for a cooking class and then went back for our anniversary. We made reservations to eat in the kitchen and hang out with the chef and learn his secrets. It was so awesome, we had so much food, our glasses were never empty. Everyone should do this - it's a great way to spend a special occasion with someone.
