When you can effectively and successfully mix two breakfast staples like Capn Crunch and French Toast together, there's something special goin' on.
The atmosphere is 100% Bmore! The chorizo sausage and eggs (any way) is worth it too after a night in Fells.
If you're stoppin through Baltimore, stop here.
Cap'n Crunch French Toast- epic, amazing, awesome, need I say more? It is made thick slices of toast with cream and fruit.....drown it in syrup and you have reached sweetness heaven.
They always seem to have a fun flavor pancake option available too. They've got breakfast down.
The only cons- the place is small...like real small. So on a Sunday morning, you will be waiting for a while. But, the food is worthy of a wait.
Been here a bunch of times on various days of the week, usually between 8 and 9 am. I've come to expect a couple of things from Blue Moon:
1. The food will be good =)
2. The coffee will be hot and refilled frequently (sometimes annoyingly)
3. The place will be packed
4. The food service will be slow...
If you plan on having breakfast here, give yourself at least an hour. I'm not complaining since I realize that good pancakes and french toast have to be made to order, therefore there will be a bit of a wait time. I'm just making an observation.
The interior is very laid back and casual. Bare hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, some wood trim... The counter area has gotten a recent upgrade but other than that, nothing too noteworthy. One of the negatives about a place this small is that it tends to get kinda drafty in the winter. Make sure you wear appropriate clothes and avoid sitting close to the door (The best table is the one in the corner, next to the large front window.)
The food is always good. They serve very good eggs which are usually cooked pretty well. The omelets are very big and overflowing with filling. The aforementioned coffee is very good. They also have the best pancakes I have had in Baltimore. MMmmm. They are crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside and they are the right density: not too light not too heavy. They also have a capt n crunch french toast which is good but a little too sweet (add syrup at your own risk). They also have breakfast burritos which I have yet to try. But I'm sure they are good. The hash browns are also very light and fluffy. Very good.
Best breakfast in Baltimore. Just wish they would hire a couple of extra cooks...
A friend of ours who is from the Baltimore area recommended this super-small place to us for our weekend visit. We're so glad we decided to cab it early one Sunday morning to avoid the long wait!
We arrived at the Blue Moon Cafe (located in a tiny rowhouse in Fell's Point) around 7:30 in the morning. When we walked in, we saw that eight of the nine tables were already taken and quickly took our seat! The line started growing outside the restaurant at that moment.
Food: Amazing choices! Of course my husband ordered the Captn' Crunch french toast (comes with berries and whipped cream, no syrup needed!) with a side of bacon and hash browns. I ordered one of the specials for the day; a brie, crab, and bacon omelet with hash browns. Both of us had coffee and a glass of their uber-fresh orange juice. Everything was uniquely satisfying, and we both walked out thinking that it had been the best breakfast we'd had in a very long time. The bacon was thickly sliced and had almost a peppery flavor, the french toast was thick and very sweet, and the omelet was an explosion of flavor in my mouth! The orange juice, while kinda steep at $4.50 per glass, was worth it based on freshness alone.
Wait staff: Brusque servers (two handling the whole place at that hour) gave suggestions and kept the coffee coming at regular intervals. Efficient, but not overly friendly, the servers never made us feel rushed even with a line curling around the building.
Price: We were so happy with the quality and portions of our food that we didn't feel too badly when the check came. For two very full breakfasts, two coffees, two orange juices, tax, and tip we spent about $60. There was absolutely no reason to eat lunch that day, so it was like a $30 breakfast and $30 lunch for two.
Bottom line: For a unique experience at a place studied by Guy Fieri's show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Drives give Blue Moon Cafe a try!
I am absolutely blown away by this place.
I take my friends who visit from out of town to this place whenever they come to visit me in Baltimore. Although their biscuits are made fresh and reheated using a microwave, they are still to die for. I have never tasted a better biscuit.
Then comes the Capn Crunch French Toast. One of their signature items (the way they make it is featured on one of Guy's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives episodes), and topped with various/different seasonal fruits every time, this dish alone prevents me from disliking the lack of restaurant diversity in the rest of Baltimore. During one of the many times I've dined here, I heard a neighboring table saying that they drove down from NY just to have breakfast here! I have also had their omelettes and scrambles, and they are all very good as well.
Beware, the location is very small, and a wait usually forms starting around 8:15-8:30 on weekends. Their OJ, although "freshly squeezed", is still a tad expensive.
There is no doubt that i'll be coming here again many times.
Honest responses here. Even busy, service was good. Food, hands-down of course it was good. Large portions but quality is not sacrificed. My last experience, the server was very good and brought me back all singles for my change AND didn't ask if I needed change just brought me change. I personally like that touch, it's not a greedy way of doing things. If a server does it right, I give them extra tip.
Oh yeah, before I finish, try the Capt. Crunch french toast. Get it A la carte if you want too. Just read the 400 other reviews that say how damn good it is...
And forgot, the place gets busy, so expect a wait. Generally, waiting is not bad, if it is long, go walk and get a coffee around broadway square. You won't be disappointed once the food is eaten- there is a reason why it maintains a busy flow of traffic.
PROS: Fabulous cinnamon buns, great coffee and decent smoothies. Someone really likes this place! It's popular!
CONS: Atrocious wait for weekend brunchies. Maddeningly poor service.. the WORST, and not in a charming way in the least. The tables are consistently gummy- do they use Mountain Dew to clean them off?? The Huevos are kind of boring, with some kind of canned green salsa poured on top.
I visit Baltimore a few times a year and stay at the Courtyard. I can't tell you how many times we've walked by the Blue Moon Cafe and passed it by because of the line outside.
On my most recent visit, we decided to wait it out. I'm so glad we did!
The breakfast was fantastic! Amazing biscuits and the captn crunch french toast is as good as everyone says it is.
While the service is efficient and brusque, it didn't really bother me because there were only two servers and a ton of people to service. So, it's not like they have a lot of time to chat.
All in all, I'll be sure to stop in for breakfast on my next visit!
Its a great place for brunch if you're patient enough to wait outside for an hour (luckily I was). The Captain Crunch french toast is a diabetic's dream topped with whipped cream and fruit, the bacon is deliciously thick sliced, and the cinnamon bun and biscuits to go were wise choices. I'll definitely be back to try their crab meat omelette.
this used to be the only place i'd go for breakfast; had a bad experience there last time. service was COLD. i tipped her a dollar, which was too much.
that said, usually its fantastic, if for two things:
- buscuits
- potato fries
prices are good, ambiance is good. they have alot of fun specials, but boring me usually get the ham and cheese omelette.
get there early, or late, as it has its fans and they number in the many.
Tia, next time go over to thames and get some coffee and a paper at
the daily grind. more fancy is bonapart breads, a stone's throw a way. FANTASTIC breaks (well, it IS a boulangerie), coffee is best i've had in balto, and the breakfast sammiches are wonderful. careful, tho... i've been admonished for asking for more than two cups of coffee. finally, there is a breakfast counter in broadway market. well, two, but i like the one at the end closest to the water. both are really good, tho. coffee is so-so, but breakfast is good, big and cheap.
My friends took me to this cafe telling me that they had pretty good breakfasts, though it was a small place. It turns out that they were right. This place does have excellent breakfasts and it's now one of my favorite places to go when I'm in Baltimore. The cafe is a small place in Fells Point, but the food is amazing.
Some brunch/breakfast highlights include their omelets and the house-baked cinnamon rolls. They have maybe 10-12 varieties of omelets with various fillings -- veggies, meats, and cheeses. The fresh-baked cinnamon rolls are always warm, and dripping with a sweet icing and cinnamon goodness. The hash browns are also deliciously crisp on the outside and soft inside. Before discovering Miss Shirley's, I would have said that this was my favorite place in Baltimore, but now I have to say it's a two-way tie.
Parking is tough since there's not much street parking available and there's a lot of other restaurants around, but it's possible. One word of caution -- this place fills up fast since it's such a tiny cafe, and it can take a long time to get a table. But it's well worth it.
I went there for brunch, just the once. The wait was almost intolerable. My boyfriend and I grabbed a coffee and took a walk around Fells for an hour. Just when we were about to give up, we got in.
I am sure the food was delicious, but we were so hungry we wolfed down our food in a matter of seconds. Of what I can remember, the hash browns were very crispy and good. The Cap'n Crunch french toast was very sweet. We split a cinnamon roll and I think I remember it having a thick cream cheese icing. I picked it off.
The rating is probably lower than it should be, but my experience was not the greatest. Although I'll admit most of that was my fault for not realizing how crowded it would be. My recommendation is either go on a week day or eat something small before waiting in line.
My brother dragged my mother and me from DC to Balitmore one rainy morning INSISTING that we go all the way to Baltimore for this. On top of that, there was a 45 minute wait (in the rain!).
O.M.G. This is what breakfast in America is all about: giant portions of heart attack-inducing goodness. The from waking up early, driving (okay, I was in the back seat sleeping) and standing in the rain, TOTALLY WORTH IT. I've only been there once so I just assume everything is good there (I got an omelet). I really wanted to try the red velvet pancake, but they were sold out. So what did I get instead?
CAPTAIN CRUNCH FRENCH TOAST. Amaaazing stuff. I don't know how they get the cereal on the french toast without over-frying it, but it is amaazing and the french toast is still soft and chewy on the inside. Of course I got way too much food, so I took the French Toast home and it was still good after a few days - just pop them in your oven.
I am plotting ways to go back, plane-ride and everything
Nothing new to add, except GET THE CAP'N CRUNCH FRENCH TOAST. Sooooooo good. Everything else that everyone else has written is 100% correct down to the sticky tables and sucky wait.
Steps to start your Sat/Sun off right:
Wait for a warm day.
Clear out your morning.
Grab a friend.
Go for brunch here.
Ask to be seated outside.
Order a bloody mary and the crab eggs benedict.
Take your time.
Stay for a few more drinks.
(optional) Get some Maggie Moo's and sit around by the waterfront.
This was very tasty. The food was hot and delicious. We had split a cinnamon roll that was like no other. They brought it out first which was nice as it did take a while for the food to be prepared. I had the Huevos Rancheros.
We went today (Thursday) around 11 and still had a wait. I don't think I would ever go on the weekend. The service was above average. I don't think I would ever go on the weekend. I would go back again.
Blue Moon is my favorite breakfast place. I actually haven't visited here since my fiancee moved out of Baltimore which was few years ago. I went back this past weekend and it was as good as we remembered it. I guess all the media coverage it has received recently hasn't gotten to their heads.
From their French toast to omelets, pretty much everything we tried so far in the menu are very good. I particularly like their hash browns. I order mine extra crispy...yum. I would also recommend getting their biscuits over their toast.
Their fresh OJ and smoothies are very good too but this is where your sticker surprise will most likely happen. OJ costs $4.50 and smoothies are $6 and up. They add up quickly if everyone in your group orders one or the other. Unlike the entrees, they are a bit stingy on the drink portions. Their main menu pricing is great though.
Like others have mentioned, the wait to sit down here is annoyingly long for weekend breakfast or brunch but it is worth it. For our last visit, we put our name down and went to Patisserie Poupon (10-15 minutes away by car which I highly recommend also) to pick up some macaroons and tarts. We came back about 40 minutes later and we were seated within the next 15 minutes. There was one group saying "Wait a second, how come they are before us?". I had to quickly respond that we had left earlier and just got back. Good thing I responded quickly too. The person who was complaining looked like she was about to jump us for "cutting in line".
delicious! We went sometime after noon on a weekday and didn't have to wait at all. Apparently sometimes there is a line of people around the corner waiting to go in. I guess we just got lucky. The place is smaller than I thought. There are about 5 tables and only one waitress. My boyfriend and I got a few things to share. We got a veggie omelette, chocolate chip pancakes, and the famous Cap'n crunch french toast. They were all really good. I would go back again. Not sure I would go on a weekend though, considering how crowded it gets. They also serve late at night, but I'm sure that gets pretty crowded too since there are a bunch of bars nearby.
edit: I went last night at 2am. Don't expect the food to be very good at that time. It's still not bad but the french toast was way different than the one I had during the day.
The tables are incredibly sticky. Cute interior, very cramped. The Captain Crunch pancakes are as a yummy as everyone says. The biscuits were AMAZINGGGG....served with jam and designed to melt in your mouth. Other than that, my bf and I each got a different type of scramble. I got the one with veggies and the whole thing tasted like broccoli juice....not good at all. Bf didn't really enjoy his main dish either. Also, the waitress thought she was the shit for some reason and was just too rough around the edges. She actually had the nerve to call her co-worker retarded in front of us.
The food here is the bomb, my favorites are the captn crunch french toast, the cinnamon buns, and the crab benedict. The coffee is good too. The only downside is on the weekends the wait is long, but that stands to reason because its a great place in a tiny row house so there aren't a lot of tables.
I love being an adult--scratch that--I love being a child in an adult's body--scratch THAT--I love being a child in an adult's body...with disposable income. This means I can stay up all night and play!
Well, except in Baltimore, where everything seems to close down after 2 a.m. Crap. What the hell?!? I may as well be back in LA, except LA has a ton of underground K-town and Little Tokyo places. Fell's Point, which is close to the Baltimore Marriott hotel, only really had a couple of places open this late.
Thankfully, I found Blue Moon Cafe. A few blocks down from the hotel, it's open pretty much 24 hours-a-day (alright, technically it's open 24-hours except for a few hours in the morning).
G&G Country Scramble-Homemade biscuit topped with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, and smothered with sausage gravy, with a side of hash browns. $8.95.
Call an ambulance. Or at least install a defribilator. The hash browns were perfect! Crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside (BTW, other than hash browns and fried chicken, I can't think of anything that I WOULD want to be of that consistency). The biscuits were great, and I don't know what kind of the bacon they had, but it was great under the gravy. Unfortunately, I didn't have the cinnamon rolls, as the waitress told me it wasn't available until 7 a.m.
I guess I will have to drag my ass back here a few hours later and grab one before my 8:30 a.m. meeting.
I don't get it. Seriously? I mean, SERIOUSLY?
Yes, it's small, but really, that's not an issue. And the wait was a bit long, but what the who? Even that didn't put me off. I wanted to see what the fuss was about, dammit!
So, finally seated, we ordered the french toast combo, a third got some sort of country scramble. The waitress suggested we get a cinnamon bun to nosh on while we waited - and we were definitely in for a wait!
The coffee was WEEEAAAK! Blah! I thought it was just a bad batch, but with every refill, it was the same weak blend! Who was working that percolator, and why did they hate me so!?!? And the cinnamon bun that was supposed to hold us over until the food arrived, managed to show up at the same time as our meal - what was the point!?
The french toast with Cap'n Crunch was novel at best. Yes, it was different - sort of like the indulgence you know you're NEVER going to attempt on your own, so why not? But the hash browns everyone seems to be gushing about...? I suspect the Blue Moon is cutting corners these days because these definitely had a 'frozen' taste about them. Seriously not fresh at all. I think the best thing on my plate was the bacon.
The country scramble went down well, but I can't vouch, as I didn't have any, and the person who ordered them...well, he's not a foodie, so he's just happy to have his belly filled. LOL
In short, I've had better breakfast food at my local Silver Diner. Their French Toast made with Challahhhhhhh (!) just floats my boat in way that satisfies the kid in me ordering french toast in the first place and the adult in me who doesnt need that super-duper sugar high.
While I think the Blue Moon is decent in a diner sort of way, I probably won't be going back to unless I'm in Fells Point late at night and need to sober up before hitting the road.
PS - for pure breakfast diner bliss, hit Dottie's True Blue Cafe in San Francisco!! Delish AND kitch that can't be missed!!
Amazing place. If you like cookie-cutter chain places, don't go here. But if you want a unique experience, try it out. I had the Captain Crunch french toast - UNBELIEVABLE!! I waited about an hour for a table, but it was well worth it.
I love this place soooooo much, but I have to give it 4 stars because of the hype and wait. I've definitely wait more than 90 minutes to get a table there, but man, sometimes it's worth the wait considering how good their breakfast is!
For one, their prices are relatively cheaper than most of the brunch places in Baltimore. I've gotten a crab egg-white omelette for less than $12 (compared to $16-$17), and the omelettes are usually cooked very nicely (not too dense for me but maybe it's because of the egg white). But I love love love their potatoes. It's cut thinly, crispy, and crunchy. The fresh biscuits are also flaky and buttery. Yummy!!!
The service is hit-and-miss sometimes, and you certainly don't go to Blue Moon for coffee as it is generic. If I want their food, sometimes I am better off getting take-out.
4 Star just for captain crunch french toast... 2 stars overall
We came here late one sat. night after I have seen it on the food network. My first impression of the place is it's a little run down for my taste and I swear the tables and chairs could have fell apart at any time. Then when we were getting ready to order drinks, the waitress began to name all the things she doesn't have to for drinks. I was kind of disappointed because I was looking forward to trying one of their smoothies. At this point I really didn't understand what all the hype was about this place. I order the captain crunch french toast and I also tried some of the biscuit with the gravy... I took one bite and could not bring my self to eat another bite. It tasted as if it was left over that was heated up in the microwave. My friend order the omelet with everything on it with hash browns. If it wasn't for the omelet and the french toast I would have given this place one stars. But the french toast is one of the best breakfast items and I would only come back to this place for it.
I've wanted to try this place based on its rep, for a long time. Finally made it on a Wednesday, about 2pm. The food is really good, but the service really sucked. I don't mind the tattoos and wild hair, etc, but the surly, sullen faces really bothered me. It seemed as though they were quite upset that we were there so close (an hr away) to closing, even though folks who showed up after we did were definitely treated with more friendliness. With the few number of tables in there, they mostly seemed to still be dirty from the noon rush. The decor is very warm and cute. I was treating a friend who had never been there either. We both agreed that even though the food was very very good, we wouldn't be waiting in an hour long line any time soon.
Greatest food ever. Service is kinda crap, but it's still totally worth it. If possible avoid going on weekeds - you will wait forever. Amazing cinnamon rolls - even if you didn't previously care for them you will find them heavenly. Great for after hours when the bars close and you are in need of some place to munch and sober up. Better service would = 5 stars - but like I said: Greatest food ever.
Completely and absolutely the best breakfast for solid staples and everyday fare... even their oatmeal is good... and it comes with the friendliest, down-to-earth service and quirky atmosphere so typical of Baltimore. I wish I could move them with me to Dallas...

I have real mixed feelings here. Our food was great but it was expensive due to the waitress not letting us know certain sides were not included with the meal. Also she completely neglected us at bill time. You wouldn't think you should have trouble paying for a bill when there is a crowd waiting in the heat outside and only a tiny bit of space to monitor. But the captain crunch french toast was lovelier than it sounded, with wisps of whipped cream and berries. The sausage and eggs were perfect and homemade, the biscuit towered from the plate and melted in our mouths with butter and raspberry jam on top. Hubby enjoyed his mexican omelet with chorizo.
I guess this place would be perfect with a bigger space more attentive service. But they're getting along fine without it. If you don't feel like waiting perhaps go in and order a pricey ($7) smoothie to go.
who woulda thought capt krunch and french toast would go so well together??? well aparently the owner of this place did! Great service, great food, good portions! Only the wait was kinda long, but allowed you to walk around and explore Fells Pt!
My friend wanted to try this place for the infamous Cap'n Crunch French Toast, as seen on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". We went at 11am on a Tuesday, but since it was just the two of us, we got to squeeze in at a small table in the front. I did feel a little bad watching groups of people who were there before us wait the entire duration of our meal.
But whatever, we were seated and served and that's what counts. I did have a taste of the aforementioned French Toast: A-MAZING! I had a veggie omelet which was overflowing with veggies and cheese and delicious. I'm not usually a hash browns gal, but these were homemade and awesome. The prices might be a little pricey, but you get a ton of food; I barely finished all of mine and I was starving!
This was a PERFECT example of Yelp working just how it was supposed to. I had two friends in town (DC), but their flights left 4 hours apart from BWI so I dropped the first friend off and then headed to B'more for a quick tour with the other friend. Before I left I yelped breakfast in Baltimore and this place looked awesome.
We got there JUST before the Sat. morning rush (9:45ish) and were seated very quickly, but the people started crowding in soon after. The place was very cute and VERY small, but I loved it. The food was delish! and SOOO cheap! They had so many veggie friendly options and the hashbrowns were toasty and hot.
The biscuits were awesome, but I could only manage to finish half of one with the rest of the meal. The veggies in my omlet were fresh and still a little crunchy and the coffee was hot (not fantastic, but usual fare). Even though it was so crowded the employees were super friendly and helpful.
Don't go in here for a fast lunch. Just take your time and soak it all up.
Thank you yelp, or I would have never found this jem!
Everyone's right about the food (yummy!) and the wait (can be painful).
I have to admit, I'm among the suburbanites who flood in to the Blue Moon on weekends. And I'm not an early riser, so I just add to the considerable brunch crowd and make you wait even longer as I savor my hash browns...
If you're at all claustrophobic, this might NOT be the place for you. It's small. I mean ES-EM-ALL.
Pick your weather, BTW. There is no inside waiting area to speak of, so you're kicked to the curb.
So, I was on my way back from NYC today, and took a detour to Baltimore. Like many of the newbies waiting outside in the cold, I waited for an hour and a half, all because of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The amount of business they got from newbies alone was insane!
The wait MAY have made me take star off. I can't be sure.
Anywho, the place is small and unique, and I liked the the owner from watching the show. She seemed kewl, so I figured, get some good eats, give her some money.
The staff was nice and apologetic for the wait. The waitress was efficient and really sweet. Coffee was good. I got the Huevos Rancheros because of the show. It was good enough, but needed more flavor from the green chile sauce. The chorizo was good, just the harder kind instead of what I expected, which is the Mexican, melt in your mouth kind.
Anyway, the hashbrowns were some of the best I've had. Not greasy at all, and a nice crunch on the outside. They give you LOTS of the hashbrowns, so I made sure I ate all the crunchy bits before I got too full.
Bottom line? Good place to stop when there isn't a wait. Otherwise, it ain't worth it. I'm stopping by again when it gets warmer, just to try the Captain Crunch french toast and some biscuits , which I should've tried today. At least I made it back to B'more to see some of the new places that have sprung up since I'd been there last - LAST YEAR!
Inexpensive, awesome food. Great place for late night cravings if you're in Fell's. I ordered an omelete, which was pretty good, but the hash browns were AMAZING. Super crispy on top, but still a little soft on the underside; they were super tasty. The service is really friendly too. I love that it's open late; there aren't many places in Baltimore like that.
The place is tiny so expect to wait. Had the Capt. Crunch French Toast... excellent! So sweet you don't need syrup. Worth a trip. The service was polite but the kitchen was slow.
The first thing you'll notice is that this place is full!
I went on Sunday and we waited for a total of one hour for a table. We'd heard about the great french toast so it didn't seem so bad to wait. (Not something I'd do again.) I got coffee and it had lipstick on the rim of the cup. I got a new one pretty quickly but felt like the waiters gave me trouble about it. The food took another 30 minutes of waiting. We had a couple cups of coffee while waiting, but it was difficult to get refills without waving down the waiter.
Overall, it was ok. If it isn't packed, I recommend it. I think the place needs to expand to deal with the weekends.
UPDATE: 11/16/2009
The biscuits and gravy saved my life after a night out.
i've heard the waits here were long, but coming on a thursday morning, i wasn't expecting to wait. when i took a looked inside, i understood why there was a wait. i think there were only 10 tables max. and most of them fit 2-4 people. the wait wasn't too long even though we had a party of 8 (which we had to split up into 2 tables of 4)
man oh man, capn crunch + french toast = HEAVEN. i was a little skeptical at first since i am a big texture person and crunchy cereal just didn't seem like it would go with soft french toast. the texture was good, it was kind of like... ground up moist capn crunch encrusted french toast i guess. it came with fresh fruit and whipped cream. i didn't use the syrup since it was so delicious.
the table also shared a cinnamon roll, which was HUGE and delicious.
i also split an omelette with a friend. we got the crab, spinach and feta cheese omelette, which was just okay to me. maybe the french toast and cinnamon rolls already wowed my sweet tooth too much. their omelettes come with hash browns, which are also good - seasoned well and crispy on the outside.
Everyone says "this place has the most awesome breakfasts". I wasn't really that impressed. The bagel that my buddy ordered came plain with a apologetic "I guess we ran out of cream cheese." How does a breakfast shop run out of cream cheese?
He DID order a tea around Christmas time and when the choices rolled out, he went with the "egg nog". He says it tasted "like watery egg nog", which wasn't much of a suprise seeing as it was egg nog tea :)
As far as the choices for breakfast, it was pretty limited and typical, nothing really creative.
The waitress was REALLY nice though and perhaps it was just a bad day to go for brunch, it was a tuesday after all. Maybe weekends are better.
Go Bal-mor! Goin' danny o'shin! Oh how I miss those accents :)
Well stayed in the inner harbor of Baltimore for a business trip last fall. Had seen this place on TV with Dinners, Drive-ins and Dives. And had to try their capt crunch French toast breakfast. Wow, was it a good and unique meal. Luckily I was in Baltimore during the week and the long lines this place is known for were almost nonexistent. Tasty place to eat and have to admit their aren't many places like this in Texas but I had to knock it down a star due to the price. Pretty expensive for a breakfast.
