    Jesse's the best!!

Seriously, Jesse routinely provides the best haircut I've ever had. Due to his growing popularity since I've been going there, I'd had to book cuts with several other guys and I've never left dissatisfied. The atmosphere is casual, but stylish and everyone is friendly.

I did it, I finally made an appointment with Kristen for a consultation for hair extensions.  Immediately off the bat I'm not impressed, for one, when the persons who would be performing your fusion hair extensions doesn't even have them in her own hair but has a weave instead is a bit bizarre.  Why not give me a weave?  Ill try it and it would probably be $1,500.00 cheaper.

Now the kicker, when I requested to see pictures of her work and what I would be forking over $1,700.00 sans tip, she told me she didn't have any.
Well that is just unheard of.  NEXT!

*Kristen did tell me that there was a picture of one of her hair extension clients on line.  Which didn't really help me sitting in the salon

** I would like to add that after I posted my first review I was emailed by the salon owner, Apologizing for my inconvenience and she would be happy if I came in too see her, I believe she offered some kind of gratuity.  Honesty I never replied as I didn't think I would be back and it was years before I actually made a second appointment.  So that is a huge plus!

Can't. Contain. My. Self. Must. Yelp.

    AHHHHHH-MAZINGGGGGGG!!!!!!

First of all the atmosphere is super cool! Its an old barn house! NEAT!

So I walk up to the desk and the girl was SO friendly. Seriously. I wanted to hug her (especially because she was wearing Burberry Rain Boots! yay!). I told her I was new and she walked me upstairs to Andrea to get my make up done.

So I had called Andrea to make a trial appointment for Bridal makeup and had a little conversation about what i wanted last week. She put me in for an appointment immediately which was awesome. She made me feel confident that she could do the "look" that I wanted for my wedding which was also awesome!! And guess what, she was friendly TOO!!!

Andrea is an AMAZINGLY talented make up artist! She gave me better makeup than I could even imagine! EXACTLY what I wanted! My trial looked amazing! She picked colors that work well with my skin and worked with the look I wanted to achieve and made me look like myself!! Most of all she made me feel confident that I looked amazing! :)

I have to tell you that I wasn't asking for traditional bridal makeup, I was looking for bride meets red carpet and she made it happen!!!

Love love LOVE her!!!! I recommend her to any bride who wants to look glamourous on her wedding day....or every day! I will absolutely be back to see Andrea after my wedding!!!

    Thanks Blue!! :)

I love coming to Blue.  The location is a beautifully modified historic 18th century home, complete with original wide-plank wood flooring and hearths.

The stylist I use is Lynda, and she is friendly, attentive, creative, and above all professional and highly talented.  I've never had to walk out of Blue without feeling like a glamorous movie star.  (Even if I'm just heading home to my banana-hands 15 month old daughter!)

The cost is a little high for me, so I'm only able to visit Blue a handful of times throughout the year.  Fortunately, my husband finally caught on that handing me his bank card and saying, "go get your hair done at Blue" is the ultimate anniversary or birthday gift to me with absolutely no preparation on his part.  =)

Ok, I am in the beauty biz, so I am pretty hard to please- style wise. Not to mention the fact that my hair resembles that of a lion's mane if a lion could grow an afro. Seriously hard to cut. Randi got it.

I met Randi because I was forever complimenting my neighbor on how great her hair looked. So, I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment with her 'girl' :).

Randi is attentive and detail oriented, which are both definitely key to a good hairdresser. She asked what she could cut, before she laid in with the scissors, and luckily I was pleased with the end result after leaving it all up to her. After all, she knows her stuff, why not let a pro tell me what they think I should have.

Also terrific with color! She has a great sense of style herself, so of course I wanted to sit in her chair.

The decor and vibe at Blue is cool, but not pretentious. I just love my little treat to myself every couple of months or so.

BLue is definitely an INCREDIBLE salon.  The stylists are very friendly, and more importantly, they are all very talented (not just in hair, but in other areas as well!  a few of the stylists are musicians), skilled, creative,  and dedicated to continuing their education.  The atmosphere is great too; the decor is very artsy and vintage--my kind of style, I often run into people I know as well as meet other clients while I'm there.  BLue also has custom-blended coffee specially made for them by a coffee shop right up the road and features live jazz music on Saturday afternoons, which is great to listen to while you're waiting for your appointment or waiting for your color to process.

Aside from the best in cutting, coloring, and styling, BLue also offers makeup, waxing, skin care treatments, massages,  a small clothing boutique called JennK, and a men's lounge with plasma TVs and a pool table.

I would HIGHLY recommend BLue to anyone!

A++, 5 stars, whatever else screams AMAZING!!

As my bald spot gets bigger and bigger, one would think that justification for coming to BLue for a haircut would get tougher.  My thinking is this: I have a limited, shrinking number of hairs - shouldn't they look as good as they possibly can while they still have life?

BLue is close to work so that got me to try it.  I go back for the scalp massage/shampoo, the laid back guys area with flat TV, pool table and mini-fridge with microbrew sampling and oh yeah, Jesse does a great job with my hair.

    What's left of it. . .

Since I'm new to Yelp I feel compelled to review my favorite hair place EVER... But I'm also afraid you (the masses) will want to go there, too, and then I'll have to call even farther ahead for an appointment... And believe me, unlike Madonna, I do NOT rmake inch-long roots look fierce.

I've referred... probably ten friends here, all of whom love it too. Oh and all of the stylists are so so pretty, so it's easier to sit around for three hours with crap all up in your hair... I mean, at least you have something nice to look at!

Sophisticated, big city style and service in an 18th century landmark and at a reasonable price are what you get at Blue.  Plus, what's not to love about a salon that also offers live music on Saturdays and a wonderful house brew to enjoy while you wait for your foils to work their magic??  Indeed, so impressed were we with one of the musical groups that we have hired them for our wedding.   But I digress.   Blue has a deep bench of talent with cuts and color.  Will, the owner, does fabulous work with even difficult heads of hair like mine (thick, course, frizzy and curly) and Billy is a magician with color (and a total sweetheart of a guy).   Highly recommend.

Andrea rules all. she has the best eye for makeup, waxing, et al. and she has a wonderful personality. She is the only person who comes near my eyebrows and I get compliments on the waxing all the time. AND she always finds a way to squeeze me in when I call.
I had my wedding everything done here and have had my makeup done here for other weddings as well.
Paul is the greatest for formal hair.

After my original stylist left (Lynda), I tried many of the other hair stylists and found that the one thing they all shared in common was the fact they made you feel like a friend, not just a customer. And if I didn't like the way someone colored my hair (because my hair is dark and Lynda had just the right touch with it), I tried someone else out.
It's a delicate situation, but the staff at Blue never ever make you feel guilty or embarrassed for trying to find the right "fit" like so many other salons do.
The thing is, I could have followed Lynda, but I was reluctant to leave Blue because it has such a warm atmosphere, is professional but with their own unique personality. I mean, if that isn't a true testimonial to how great it is, I'm not sure what could top that.

Great place! Service is amazing. Atmosphere is a lot of fun. Mostly for women but there is a separate area for men that is a little more manly with a lcd tv, fridge, guy magazines, and a pool table. It's great to show up early and relax for a bit before your appointment.
Jesse is the MAN. He takes his time with your hair and makes sure it is exactly the way you want it. He also makes great suggestions for new styles. Blue offers massage services and other miscellaneous beauty services (not that I care). More expensive than your average 15min haircut but completely different and aimed at a different market. A great place for guys and gals alike. It can be a little confusing and overwhelming the first time you go. Just ask someone if you don't know where to go.

I'm new to Warminster, PA, and was looking for a high quality hair salon near the neighborhood.  I turned to yelp and thanks to other yelpers stumbled upon Blue A Hair Studio.  I called right away, afraid that I'd have to wait a month to be seen, and took a chance when the friendly receptionist asked me when, and answered 'the following day if anything were available'.  Boy was I surprised when she answered 'morning or afternoon?'.  To reiterate, I called on a Wednesday afternoon and made an appointment for Thursday morning.  Now, being a first timer, I had no preference for stylist, and had I asked for someone specifically, I probably wouldn't have been able to make an appointment that fast.
Blue a Hair Salon is unlike any other.  It's an old Inn converted into this really hip/trendy Salon with stations upstairs and down.
I checked in and was whisked away upstairs.  I had reservations when I told my stylist what color brunette I was looking for precisely and she disappeared to mix my color and didn't offer to show me color swatches.  It turned out the right shade of brunette, but I was more psyched about not having the usual rim of brown all around my hair line.  The same stylist trimmed my hair, and listened enough to not trim too much, but trim enough that it be healthy.
I would have rated 5 stars, had it not been for a mishap at the rinse bowl.  Not noticing until standing up, apparently I was too short for the bowl height and water had soaked my back.  It dried by the time my hair was finished.
