Bloomies on Main did a wonderful job on the flowers for my wedding!

During the trial, I thought the flowers were ok. But on the day of the actual wedding, I was blown away by the beautiful colors of the bridal bouquets, my bouquet, and for all the centerpieces.

I got so many compliments on the colors for my wedding because of the flowers.

I used Bloomies for a flower bouquet for my son's teacher. The bouquet turned out beautifully. Great fresh flower bouquet, presented in an unique way that sets it apart from any traditional ftd bouquet. The head florist was friendly and her dog is so so so cute. My daughter wanted to bring it home!

I first heard of Bloomies on Main when I went to a bridal faire at the Pleasanton fairgrounds. Their arrangements were unique so I figured I would get an appointment with them for the wedding.

At first I wasn't sure if I really had an appointment because no one called to confirm and I had made the appointment a couple of months back! However, D and I went anyways.

Bloomies is not only a floral shop, it's also a hair salon! And they have dogs running around the place! That was first and foremost a shocker.

The owner was very disorganized and I couldn't really trust her with my ideas for wedding flowers. When she walked to the back of the store, another assistant came up to us and gave us some great ideas. Though the prices were decent I was a bit turned off from the place.

History

Established in 2005

In 2005 Eileen Velen bought Bloomies on Main from Kelly Hein. She kept Kelly's vision with the hair and make-up for events but has added her touches for the business. We now carry invitations, wedding gifts, spa baskets, and salad baskets.
Sarah Velen joined the store in 2006. With her expertise in fashion, merchantising, and design, she quickly became the store manager and head floral designer. She has take classes in flower design with world renown floral designers.
Education is what makes Bloomies on Main different from other shops. We encourage our designers to go to classes and workshops.

Meet the Business Owner: Eileen V.

Eileen Velen is the owner of Bloomies on Main. Some may remember her as owner of L'Chaim in Danville.

This is the most demanding job ever. Depending on live product, creating and designing and hoping that you understand the client's vision.

But she is most grateful that Sarah has joined the store. With her superior knowledge of flowers, design, and communication with the client we are a leading the trends. What is seen in the magazines, we've probably have done it 2 years ago.
