The Blennerhassett is in a beautiful old building, and they have done a very good job updating and remodeling the hotel. The common areas of the hotel are tastefully and comfortably furnished, and the staff is always friendly and available.
The room we stayed in was ill-designed, but comfortable for the most part. The bed was very nice and the linens were top-notch, but the entertainment armoire was placed in a location that blocked the path in front of the bed to the other side of the room when open, and the bathroom was comically small. You were forced to scoot in between the toilet and the sink in order to close the door without knocking off a kneecap, so we just skipped privacy. The bathtub was actually large, and the shower and water were fine, but the bathroom itself needed a few square feet and a redesign, the door issue could have been resolved cheaply with a simple pocket door.
The restaurant and bar deserve a mention. The bar has a fine selection, but the main selling point is the opulent and comfortable surroundings. We ate at the restaurant for lunch the day we left, and the food was quite good and very reasonably priced for a hotel. Recommended.

I've stayed here a few times and have always been impressed.  The hotel has recently been remodeled, and sports awesome decor, very comfy bedding, nice furniture and an overall classy atmosphere.

The staff is very friendly and always around to help.

One tip - skip breakfast here unless you have an hour+ to kill.  While breakfast has always been great and cheap, it takes forever.  And really, the food/bar service here is pretty slow all the time.

I've never stayed in two rooms that were similar - different layouts and sizes, and a few options and classes to choose from.  I like that.

Note - this isnt a Clarion anymore.. it isnt affiliated with any hotel points/perks program.
