wooo!
19th birthday...what better way than to spend it lazer tagging?
cousins and i spent a good 2 hours or so dressing up as zombies. when we entered the building...all eyes on us. the zombies have arrived!!!
the workers didn't seem too amused or happy about anything per se...while the rules were explained the littles kids kept interrupting the speaker and the speaker was speaking too fast to be able to comprehend her anyway. but it's not hard to figure out.
got in and it's a 3 story maze of black walls and flashing lights. i actually broke a sweat running around tagging people.
only gripe i have is that too many people play the 'sniper' role. NOT FUN DUDE. they did NOT build a 3 story maze for us to NOT run around! and people were sitting down blocking whole aisles! *cough* hahaha
gems are annoying and i got tagged 2 times by them...otherwise first floor is most fun to play around.

annoying kids, unamused workers, semi-functioning machines, and 15 minutes of pure fun.
good birthday.

I went here on a date. Yes I know. Aint I a little too old for lazer tag, and to be taking a date?

nope.

Besides she was the one who wanted to go.

This place was fun. I loved it. The kids didnt care how old we were, they treated us like they would of treated me if i were 12. Like crap. The prices are decent i guess. We played about two games, which lasted about 25 minutes each game. All for under twenty bucks. (each person i mean.) I heard this one is the biggest one in Texas. Dont know, but it had about 3 stories worth of mazes and stuff. The only problem i had was this one kid who just hid in a dark corner and shot everyone who walked by. I mean come on! Is that within the rules? For twenty minutes he just hid and blasted away people.  Thats not fun kid. Not fun at all.

Laser Tag has come a long way since I first discovered it as a kid at the local mall where you just shot at the walls and they shot back at you. It was still fun, but GOOD LORD it's so rad now!

It's probably more expensive than you'd expect, so let's get that out of the way. But it's so much fun. It's incredibly fun.

The arena is spectacular. There are elevation changes, and lots of nooks and crannies to hide in. My husband particularly enjoyed finding a high spot and then picking off little kids from below. Laser tag isn't designed to be a sniper game, but if that's how you roll...

Anyway, the inside is black lit and appropriately scary/awesome. It's pretty easy to get lost in there--which is kind of the point--so if you bring little kids along make sure you keep them close to you.  Ermm, as an anecdote--which happened to someone else, of course--I've *heard* that you can get carried away and run blasting after another team forgetting to clasp your three year old son by the hand, and he could get lost and freak out because he's alone in a black lit dungeon with flashing lights and he can't find his mommy.

Can you imagine? What kind of horrible mother would allow that to happen? (In my--her--defense, it was only thirty seconds. But when you're three, that seems like a lifetime.)

Speaking of three year olds, it's not a good activity for them, it turns out. The guns are too heavy. My son wasn't able to carry his gun appropriately so he didn't have a good time. (This was years ago, however, and it's high time I take him back.)

But if your kids are 5 or older, and they're not afraid of dungeons and the dark and having a completely awesome time, take them for a night out. And if you don't have kids, you should go, too--just be prepared to be surrounded by screaming little ones. Just don't be like my husband and snipe them--be a sport. Nobody likes a cheater.

Pros:
- GREAT arena.  Three levels, multiple excellent hiding places, lots of power ups.
- Laser tag system is pretty good, with multiple hit points on the vests and one on the gun.
- They've got a DDR machine in the arcade.

Cons:
- Less-than-enthusiastic stoner teens make up the bulk of the employees here.  I know it's not the greatest job in the world, but that's not my fault, so please don't take it out on me.
- Equipment has a high probability of malfunctioning, or just acting wonky enough so your score plummets.  See above point.
- DDR machine is pretty beat up, and the rest of the games in the arcade are pretty lame.  Why is it so hard to find a decent arcade these days?
- OMG SO MANY CHILDREN.  Maybe I should start coming later at night.  Or just bringing a flame thrower.
- No kneeling?  Yeah, whatever.  It's a fine rule when the bulk of your customer base is under four feet tall, but when you're almost six feet tall those five foot walls ain't gonna cut it for cover.  I TAKE MY LASER TAG VERY SERIOUSLY.

This place is great for a group of people. I've been here a few times with a large group which we had a function that lasted from 12 am to 5 am. It's very convenient to have a large get together.

The equipment tends to break down a bit but overall, it's a fun place to be. I love lazer tagging but I'm always the person to hid in a corner while everyone is shooting at me. I don't understand why.

The food that they have there is alright but I'm pretty sure they are not know for they food rather than the games. Not a bad place to be if you're on a date, with the family, or with a large group.

Blazer Tag is soooooooo much fun!!!
It is like a real live video game mixed with your secret agent wanabee fantasies :^)
It's dark, there are lazer guns, black lights, levels to navigate, other people hunting you, and targets on the walls to shoot or they shoot you. You can move around the whole time or you try to find a spot to shoot from in stealth mode, but whatever your stategy you will have fun and be ranked on a cool print out amoung everyone else at the end.  (The last time we went we played 3 games- my husband beat me the last 2 times, but I won the first one and I still have that score card on our fridge for bragging rights!!!)

Mondays there is a dollar game at 8pm, so if you have never played you can test your skills for only a dollar, but beware all the die-hard lazer taggers will probably whoop your booty cause they will be there then too.

This place is great for me and my friends to blow off some time. We usually go late at night, and compete against eachother to see who gets the better ranking.

I talk alot of game, but i pretty much suck at blazer laser tag. But i can't help but to love how i get a hit on someone,  how i always say "You little f*cker" when i can't see the person who hits me... and how my knees hurt from kneeling... Yea that rule doesnt apply here.

The thing that sucks is, the games are really lame. The only reason to come to blazer laser tag... is for blazer laser tag. Pretty much.

Its fun having drunk people play too, But its pretty lame when people come here on prom night, seriously blazer laser tag in a dress and high heels..

I love this place... when the equipment is functioning properly and the employees aren't high, that is.  The arena is FANTASTIC and the way the game is set up is pretty awesome.  Team play is the way to go, so insist on it even if the employees are wanting to run a free-for-all game (fewer than 15 people).

Sometimes the guns don't work right, so talk to a marshal and be persistent about swapping out equipment.  It's no fun running around for 20 minutes if you can't shoot someone.

Do read the instructions on the wall in the briefing room.  They cover just about everything you need to know and you'll be in-the-know if the employee giving the briefing can't form a coherent sentence.  This seems to be more of a problem on Sundays, so I'd recommend going on Saturday afternoon.  Never been on a weekday since it's too far from where I live, so I can't comment on that.

My company started a Blazer Tag league over the winter months and we would play here against each other once a week.  This was a lot of fun and a really good workout.  After a 15 minute game my legs would be burning and I would be out of breath.
The best way to play is to bring a big group of 20 or more.  If you play the public game, you'll have to play with a bunch of kids and it's just embarrassing to get the crap beat out of you by a bunch of kids.  You also might need to reserve a time slot a few days in advance because it seemed that they were always booked pretty tight.

Easier than paintball, and way better then Chuck E Cheese and Gattitown is laser tag.

It's like you're in Star Wars.  You can climb up onto the balconies, run around through structures while wearing this really geeky laser gun and chest pad.  You can actually see the lasers as you shoot them!

You play in groups, and they group about 20 or so people together in the room and turn everybody loose.

They also have a good selection of arcade games to play as you wait.

I wish they had this when I was a kid.  Still fun as a grown up, too.

This place rocks!!!!!! Especially if you have an eleven year old son. How often does a boy get a chance to chase his mother around in the dark shooting at her and scaring the **** out of her. Go on a weeknight and you may find you have the whole game to yourself. Your not supposed to run in here, but who doesn't occasional pick up the pace when being shot at. I left drenched in sweat feeling like I had just had a great work out at the gym. Come to think of it, I may just make this place my new gym.
