Ty at Blanc the Salon has been my hairstylist of choice for 7 years now... he just can't be beat! Even when I lived in New York City, I made it a point of scheduling my haircuts and colors for when I was visiting Denver, so Ty could work his magic.
I trust Ty completely with my hair, and often go into the salon for a cut and color asking Ty to do 'whatever he wants' with my hair. Even when giving him complete artistic control, I have never been disappointed.
The salon itself is very hip. Stark white walls (hence the name, 'blanc'), full length mirrors, small tvs and edgy, simple artwork- Blanc feels fresh and new. The staff is very friendly, and fun to be around. Getting your hair done becomes more of a social hour, where you can enjoy conversation with the fashion-forward stylists.
I have seen a few reviews that mention that prices are high here. But really, is it worth skimming on your hair, that you wear every day? Ty's edgy cuts last far longer than a 'wannabe edgy' razor cut that you will get elsewhere. And his eye for color is fantastic, you will always walk out looking like a rockstar.
I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing Blanc (now called Rockstar Industries and located at Third and St. Paul in Cherry Creek) is. I seriously do not think I ever knew what a good haircut was until I stepped in this place 2 years ago.
My VERY picky mother in law first started going to see Ty at Blanc when they first moved to Denver. She is pretty stylish and I thought she had a great haircut before but it was absolutely nothing compared to what it looked like afterwards - seriously, she could have been a model if anyone hired models who were over 50 years of age. When I saw how great they could make a 55 year old woman look I had to try it out.
Wow, seriously? AMAZING. Kyle is the BOMB!!!!!! I had salon baggage before I started going to her - you know, too many bad experiences with those stylists that never listen to a word you say and then you end up with a really bad haircut? I actually like going to the salon now and no longer feel like I'm sitting in a dentist's chair when I'm getting my hair cut.
Now, I just tell Kyle to do whatever she wants because I trust her, and I always walk out looking great. She also does my hi-lights which look so natural and like they're just part of my natural hair color. Kyle does my husband's hair too, and he walks out with an actual haircut, not just a boring dude's hairstyle.
We are moving to Dallas soon and I doubt I will ever be able to find anyone as awesome as Kyle or the folks at Blanc. I HIGHLY recommend them!
The best salon in Denver. When I moved to Denver a few years ago, I tried out a number of salons in Denver, but I was unable to find a salon or stylist who made me feel amazing when I left the salon. But, that all changed when I found Blanc. Jenn at Blanc does a fantastic job. I always receive a lot of compliments on my hair.
This place will always make me look way hotter than I actually am. I had a terrific stylist there named Michelle who disappeared after I moved, and I'm no longer in Denver and have never come close to finding a suitable replacement for the magic that happens in that little building.

After years of trial and error i happened upon blanc the salon. my hair has finally found its home in denver. luckily ive found a stylist there named molly who is very attentive to my hair needs. she takes the time to pay attention to detail & listen. plus its a bonus that I really enjoy her company for those long dye hours...
step inside blanc to experience what feels like a club atmosphere rather than your usual blas'e denver salon. the music is bumpin & the hair dressers are dancing along while interesting animes & such play on the monitors. the salon definitely has a lively atmosphere. no snoozers here. the stylists are chic & sassy with full sleeve tattoos and mohawks.
the owner once said he wanted to bring a little new york to denver... mission accomplished.

This salon rocks, in more ways than one. The music is bumping, the people are beautiful and super stylish. When I moved here from Chicago over a year ago I repeatedly salon hopped, and ended up in tears a couple of times. I finally broke down and went to see Ty after having one bad haircut after another. Well, my hair looked so awesome I actually cried. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the price - I just can't afford it on a regular basis. But if you need someone to fix a bad haircut for you, go see Ty - he really listens to what you want.
Alas, Angie has moved on from Blanc, hopefully just temporarily. They put me in Molly's good hands for a dye job and she performed extraordinarily. It seems all their stylists are rock stars...

I love this place. Thank you Lisa for referring me. Misty did wonders for my hair. Unfortunately, I was a little drunk and fell asleep during my cut. Sorry Misty. I'll be more composed next time! Seriously, great place to get your hair done. I would recommend Misty to anyone especially to those who have long hair and are scared of getting it cut too short ( you know that feeling). You can trust Misty, she's amazing!
I came here hungover, and I still had a great time! So relaxing, and I looked great afterwards.
Blanc the Salon is the only truly fashion-forward salon I have been to in Denver, (not to say I have tried them all, but I have lived here my entire life). While there are salons in Denver that will give you the run-of-the-mill short-in-the-back-long-in-the-front and certainly dozens more that still offer "the Rachel," Blanc the Salon was exhibiting the female-faux-hawk at the same time it was in fashion, which is something to be reckoned with in Denver. Not only are the staff some of the friendliest and most well-styled you will find in Denver, the space itself is magnificent and often preparing for nighttime fashion shows. I have made the mistake of getting my hair cut at other salons in Denver even after discovering Blanc to save on cash and never will I make the same mistake.
