Of course people are going to give 5 stars for boobs, booty and bush (that's mainly why I too am allotting 5 stars). Everyone dreams of going to a nude beach covered in naked hot people, but that's pretty much never what you get. In a perfect world I suppose...
A great place to come for a great workout and I wouldn't suggest making the trek unless you can make the return trip without trouble. The beach itself and the scenary (*not necessarily including the nekked peeps) are beautiful and spectacular....a must see if you will.
I have yet to unleash the beast and expose myself, mostly because it's likely in people's best interest not to be subjected to what I've got goin' on...perhaps someday.

My friend and I used to come jogging down to Black's beach. It's actually a great place to go running and also the climb up from the beach is a good work out on the thighs.
HOWEVER, i probably should have brought a blindfold to shield my virgin eyes. All these old men with nothing on except for a hat. It seemed like alot of these men were homeless.
There were a good number of surfers that didn't seem to want to wear a wetsuit. Doesn't it hurt when you fall?
Nice place but I think I will probably just go jogging in the gym from now on and enjoy the scenery of the smelly dude in front of me.

As a Non-native of San diego, I will say this so that people do not make the same mistakes as we did, by being naive into thinking that this is great nude beach. This nude beach is the equaluvant to castro in san francisco.
Now heres go my sad tale......(IT GETS PRETTY GRAPHIC SO HAVE A STOMACH FOR THIS ONE)
my roommate and I decide to venture out some more, so he happens to see a tv show on spike tv, that ranks black beach as one of the best beaches because there are alot of nude women there and the seen is great so he wants to go. The whole time im saying, i do not think that it is nude because I would have heard about it already( being ive lived here longer than him).
So were off to good ole Blacks beach, for starters we parked hella far from the beach, so we had to walk hella far to just get to this part of the beach, then we had to walk an additional 1-2 miles to get to blacks beach. During this walk, we had to walk pass some cliffs (were the tide started to come in) so we couldnt go back that way. Now were in the land of blacks beach. For starters from a distance, we see a man, kind of doing pushups at a fast pace, however we pay it no mind and just continue walking, as we get closer, we notice that this man is still doing pushups*, special pushups that is, because there lie another man under him. both naked (GET IT) so as we walk as fast as possible, we run into more and more fully nude men as couples.
finally we pass up these men, only to come to the realization there is no way back to the streets unless we climb this huge cliff. Mind you im terrified of heights. So as were climbing this cliff, and almost to the top, what stops us in our tracks, and a huge snake, i want to say it was a rattlesnake, but i do not think rattle snakes are in san diego. nevertheless we get to top only to have to a solid 5-7 miles to get back to the car. What a gay(happy) journey

What do you want in a beach?
Scenery - Blacks (Torrey Pines State Beach) is a beautiful beach mainly because of its natural state. Its tall cliffs, little hidden valleys, and relatively clean shore make this one of the best beaches in San Diego. The glider port also offers some hypnotizing scenery to look at. as the glider appear to get within close proximity of the cliffs and each other.
No heavy crowds - Well at least when compared to Mission, La Jolla, and Ocenaside beach. Only on the northern end of Blacks which is official Torrey Pines state beach is where you may find difficulty parking. The Glider port parking has an abundance of open space as this is the same parking lot that held the U.S. open a few years back. Ive never had a problem getting parking a the glider port lot. The methods of getting to Blacks also contribute to its smaller crowd. TEST YOUR MIGHT; Get down and dirty in about 5 minutes heading down the maintained path from the glider port. EASY in HARD out. Or you can park a Torrey Pines at the north end and walk in which would take about 30 minutes. EASY in and EASY out. You just waste alot of time walking though.
Surf - I dont surf but the local and some friends say that Blacks offers some of the best surf in town.
Hot Bodies - Men out number women by a large margin. There are some pretty fit guys that hang out there and yes there are attractive women here too despite all the nude beach jokes. This is SoCal and its next to a college.. come on now. Pick your poison.
Running room - Running on the beach is great and the sand changes the game greatly when compared to pavement. During the mornings you can run and appreciate the cliffs and a beach in its natural state. During peak hours, you can aprreciate the human bodies in its natural state. You want a workout? Run UP the gliderport trail! Yes, it can be done, I saw a young lady doing this and by the time I got to the top once, she had already made her second lap!
Freedom - Free to be nude here. From what I've seen when I go is that the couples, straight groups, and groups of women generally lean towards the south end of the beach almost right where the Glider port path ends. The more north you go you see less women and gradually becomes predominantly gay. Straight guys.. no - they arent going to grab you weiner and harass you. If they hit on you just turn them down like you would a woman - respectfully.
Privacy - ok your at a nude beach, you will get looked over. Accept it. You shouldnt be gawked at though. If you do, hang out near the yellow flags and the Blacks Beach Bares will catch on if theres a perv hunting you. Some women also hang out on the gay side because the straight pervs generally stick to the shoreline on the gay side.
If you like to be nude, run, enjoy long walks on the beach, see naked peeps...this is your place.

Although the walk back up to the car wasn't fun, I have to give this beach 5 stars.
I love that it's not as crowded as La Jolla Shores beach, and I love that it's kind of secluded. Kind of.
I didn't get to see any old naked men, which I think is a good thing!
I love being just around nature, the ocean, the cliffs, and the sun.
So far, it's my favorite beach in SD.

So, I've only been here once and probably the last time I'll go there. Despite the 3 star rating I actually like the beach itself alot. It's very shallow for a while, you can walk out and it'll be shallow forever. Which I like. Anyways, I had a fun time at the beach..
Now here's where the so so rating comes into play..THE HIKE! Yeah..so I have to walk down this super steep hill, in flip flops btw, AND walk back up the steep hill again after swimming and getting myself all relaxed at the beach? Bah @ that I say...
So yeah, that's really the only reason I don't like..I haven't gone to the nude beach but I've heard stories about it and it's not something I would like to venture out to..
I love the view from Black's Beach.
If you're not into hiking you can still enjoy a great view from the top of the cliffs.
Apparently it's divided into two regions. The far northern section of Black's Beach is the "gay" side, so you have to walk a little further north once you've hiked your butt down to the shore. Hmm...I love how the gay side is on the outskirt of the beach...just like in Hawaii where the gay side is at the very far end of Waikiki Beach...pretty lame but at least there's a spot.
On a good day there's a hot guy running nude. I've only witnessed this twice in all my times at the beach.
This place holds special meaning in my heart because it was where I had my first E-experience...
One drawback though...the water is never warm enough to swim/play in (except the summer).

Gorgeous view of the beach while up on the cliffs above. To get to to it you have to walk down a trail, which is a good 15 minute hike. I was told that this was one of two ways to get to the bottom. Situated below a cliff, the beach is well secluded, therefore limiting the number of people. In fact, there was only a handful of people during my visit. Yes it is a nude beach, great place to "hang out" during the week if you want to avoid the weekend crowds.

This beach is somewhat unique compared to other beaches in California - and not because it's a nude beach.
There is a hangliding liftoff pad on the cliff over hanging the beach so you'll see hangliders flying above you. On the south end are the surfers and there are many surfers, on the north end is the clothing optional area with volleyball nets.
So, if you're not a surfer, you're better off taking off your clothes. I did. It's not such a big deal anymore. I used to get embarrassed and cry like a little baby. Not so anymore. I now have a tan with no tan lines. i'm so happy and proud.
As for the approximately 50 people i saw on the north end, nearly everyone was nude. 10 were females and several were attractive. This was on a weekday in midday hours. The water here is a bit warmer than the cold waters in northern california.
There are rangers who drive in their jeeps along the beach constantly. they're kinda annoying.

When my usual outdoor trail fails to stimulate me or the gym is packed with people, I make a detour to Black's Beach to indulge in its challenging turf and scenic views. It'd be redundant to preface this review with a disclaimer about the Founding Father-types who frequently flock and frolick around this sandy pocket of paradise (the notoriety speaks for itself), but I would be remiss if I didn't note the numerous occasions I've inadvertently stolen glances of some of my favourite presidential dopplegangers' dopplegangers. Personally, I fancy Thomas Jefferson (not that I aspire to be a 21st-century Sally Hemings)..
Right.
Whether you're a surfer looking for sweet sunset swells, a runner jonesing for new paths to pave or a nudist-at-large using the "unsightly tan lines" bit as a pretext to bare your essentials, Black's Beach offers options for all. No shirt, no slacks, no shame.

blacks beach is the best! my wife and I have been there 7 times this summer. All the days have been great but three days were over the top. on those days the nudity was especially hot with more couples in the mix and packs of surfer girls. when the male-female ratio is even and gawkers are not there it can boggle the mind in a good way. in those situations nudity is close to 100 per cent. when it's like that more women participate. it's the right balance we think between family friendly and sexy as we have seen no sex but many erections...women spread wide...and lot's of sensuality. We love this beace nude is so much better than suits. we sit in the couples area maintained by the blacks beach bares. knowone will bother you and the people there are so nice.

I love this place. It's a hike... but that's what naps on the beach are for.
I kind of hate the nasty little bugs just chilling all over the washed up seaweed. But there are plenty of places without those little fuckers. Take some time to scope out a spot.
Soak up sun on the hot sand. There's really no better way or place to unwind. The few hours during which I am conscious at Black's, I've found that this is where the best people watching is at. It's incredible. Gotta love those surfers ;)
And the view... that is to die for.

if you don't go far enough north from where the trail from La Jolla Farms hits the beach, you WILL be approached by the State parks officers and told to put your top back on. "especially with the kids here m'am; we can't have toplessness around kids."

If you are just going to Black's beach to see certain types of naked bodies, stay home and spare us your attitude. If you are going the beach to enjoy a beautiful beach, the warm sand and water, meet interesting people, and go NAKED doing it, you should have a pretty good time.
Two of the most interesting people I meet there were two people that had to be in their 80's. They were both really skinny and had great tans. They were both wearing hats with day glo bands that matched their day glo sandals and day glo rimmed sunglasses. They were in from traveling the world. They were always surrounded by a group of people of all ages every time you saw them down there- just delightful people. I thought it was amusing the day their children. grand children and great grandchildren came with them. Everyone got naked except for the one's in their 20's and early thirties-the prudes. A happy family none the less.
If your a single female and don't want to be bothered by anyone who might prove to be obnoxious, happens anywhere-two ways to handle it. Put your towel down by a group of people on the South end. If someone bugs you, ask the people around you to help run them off-it works. A second option is to go to the North end and put your towel down in the gay area. They'll treat you with some respect and can run perverts off equally as fast.

Best beach in San Diego nude or not! Cops will have a hard time bustin ya for drinkin on the beach.
Right here is the most beautiful view in San Diego. Perhaps it's the nicest view in all of southern California. I'll let the philosophers sort that out.
Whenever I come here, I take the Torrey Pines Scenic Drive entrance, park in the dirt lot at the far end of the gliderport, and hike down the cliffside. Warning -- this hike is NOT for the faint of heart or vertigo. It's a couple hundred feet to the beach on the bottom, the slope is ultra-steep, and there is nothing protecting you from imminent disaster if you make a wrong step. (Plus, the hike back up can take the wind out of you if you're not in tip-top shape.)
WIth all of those qualifications out the way... WOW. On a clear day you can see cliffs and beach extending up all the way up to the northern fringes of SD county. The massive rock formations combined with the gliders flitting every which way above you make for an almost surreal experience. I've been to Black's countless times, but I still think it's amazing. It really never gets old.
Once you get to the bottom, you find the best that SD beach-dom has to offer. Wide sandy stretches, lovely surf, and big cliffs reflecting the sunlight onto my pasty white self. (This is when I bring out the SPF 30.)
Black's is never too crowded or touristy, and I hope that never changes. Maybe the local naked folks make certain that the more conservative tourists and their gaggles of kids stay far away. For that I am infinitely grateful.

Blacks Beach
San Diego Ca
A legal nude beach, regularily patrolled by sherrif department and lifeguards. A great place to go for fun and relaxation. Permanently built beach vollyball court, easy access for lifeguard and emergency vehicles makes this a safe place for any family activity. Short but very steep stairway trail from top of bluff is good if you are very physically fit. Access can be made from public beaches if tides are low. Beach access requires a 3 mile walk along beach from either La Jolla beach or Torrey Pines State Beach. Its half way between La Jolla and Torrey PInes. Great for visitors with small children or health issues that might be aggrivated by the steep hike up or down the bluff.
If you go, take plenty of drinking water with you to the beach.

Reading the reviews indicates to me most Yelpers are under 30Y/O and never plan to get old and "saggy" Walking this beach sans clothing is about the most liberating thing one can do and no matter what age you are that feeling never goes away The reason you don't see many young naked people on this beach is Ironically that young folks are uptight about their bodies when they should be feeling rather good about they way they look naked
My advice is try it you'll like it and you will never wear suit on this beach again!

Its rep as a nude beach is no longer true, but it is a great private feeling beach with the cliff wall that goes on forever then the rocks at the end its a great long walk.
You can fish here and now worry about swimmers, bring huge groups and almost always have space.
Currents can be unusual you can get horizontal rip tides. and no life guards so be safe.

Black's Beach is a nude beach, but not everyone's necessarily nakie. It's worth visiting for the potential for randomness - heck, probably even for the heehaw factor alone, if you're not used to walking around nude.
At the time, there were mostly older men, including a few couples. One guy's schween was so huge that my friend couldn't believe her eyes - she even asked me if it was real. Your mileage may vary: my friend was there a few weeks before I, and she saw a few young women playing Ultimate Frisbee in the buff. Just my luck!
The hike from the parking lot to the beach is a healthy one - and breathtaking - there's nothing like it. On my walk down I stopped and enjoyed the silence of the waves.

People from around the globe get here after subjecting themselves to a dizzying display of unwieldy baggage, stinky airplanes, jerky buses, incomprehensible cabbies, cavity scans, $8 muffins, and endlessly proving their identity to strangers with guns.
You? You throw a few things together, cruise to the hang glider port for departure (only you don't need a damn ticket, you don't care which way the wind is blowing, and you don't need to remember to take off your... umm, 'personal jewelry') then; Voilà! it's time for a nature hike.
Eat, swim, doze, read, walk, chat, spot dolphins, slather more sunblock (the bluffs intensify the sun and heat) snack, ogle, and/or preen.
It's like another world 30 stories down. No sirens or traffic sounds, no loud radios or babies, no old ladies or drunken tourists. Sometimes fighter jets remind you how safe you are in your Homeland.
I usually go soon after high noon and stay until sunset, aka "the freaky hour," to capture the stunning sights. The setting sun being one of them.

This is an awesome beach. I've been twice with my girlfriend and have had a great time... I can't wait to go again. If you're homophobic, stay away. There are a lot of single guys who set up camp and hang out. I guess that they're cruising... I don't know. Good for them. Whatever. It's a beautiful beach with plenty of space and lots of interesting people: naked folks tend to give you more "space" as a matter of etiquette. The cliffs are gorgeous and cliff-face parascenders provide tremendous ambiance. I feel good here. Free. It's really, really nice. (Note: I've never taken my swimsuit off. I'm too modest. It's a dragon I've yet to slay.) I tend to believe that the long hike down keeps many people away - which is great! It's a self-regulated environment for people who value a singular experience with the Pacific (or with each other).

I've been going to Black's beach for over 10 years - and I love it there. At first I'd come in at low tide from La Jolla Shores/Scripps - a beautiful, LONG walk. High tide is the downfall of that approach! Using the trail is the best way, unless you know someone who lives in Black's Estates and has a key to the access road. Anyway, travel light because the trail back up is challenging after a day of sun and fun! I love having this beautiful beach so close to home and the option of nude bathing - what a treat! Only problem-no bathrooms once you are on the beach-so plan accordingly!

Never been to a nude beach. these reviews are very helpful, I have some tan lines i need to work out!! Kinda sketchy about going alone though.
Everytime it gets warm enough, this beach fills with nudies, runners, walkers, and the clothed.
This is the only nude beach I've been to with an equal amount of people from all age groups and styles.
Everyone is welcome.
For a good cliff-short-cut hike, park on the most northern spot of the glider point lot off of Glider Point Rd. Look for sign that says "Back off from Cliff edge", or something like that.
Find the carved out person-made steps that snake down into a beautiful ravine.
When you get to the bottom, most gays hang out on the north side of the ravine.
There is another easier hike down on the south end of the parking lot, but I have not taken that.
The hike back up will either make you want to give up ciggarettes or go back to the gym.

Blacks is a delightful, pleasant, isolated beach, and I used to go when I was in college. It had a lot to offer--sufficient exercise getting down that steep ass hill, great waves, and a relatively tanquil area to sit and read.
The first time I went to Black's was by myself--and no one told me about what exactly gives the beach its....reputation.
I was listening to a CD on my headphones, enjoying the weather, and turned right at the trail.........
.........only to walk into the middle of a naked volleyball tournament......
.....full of only old, white men.
By the way, what is with nudists? They tend to be predominantly older white men? Why is this? Please, hot women, go to nude beaches. Just a suggestion.
But nothing says "welcome to Black's Beach" like looking up jus at the moment an old man jumps up to spike a volleyball....GAHHHH.
That said, the beach itself is beautiful. One tip: turn to the left if you want to avoid nudity once you get down the trail. Turn to the right if you want pants-optional.
And dont look at the volleyballs.....er volleyball.

After being contacted by the activities director for Blacks Beach I recognized that my lighthearted review could come across offensive to some. That was not my intention -- I in fact celebrate the fact that there are still places like Blacks Beach where you can exhibit true freedom.
My 24 year-old-body will not be as perky in ten years and I am fully aware of that. Aging is beautiful.
Apparently there are a few orgs that promote community activities at the beach. Now living in New York I won't be able to experience them any time soon, however, it is very cool to know that is it out there.
And the surf is amazing here. I can't ever get past that.

I thoroughly enjoy the hike down to Black's Beach and the beautiful views along the way. However, it is steep and not recommended for all, or even most. I don't know of an easier way to Black's because I always choose to run down and back up for exercise. If you're in decent shape, it's a fun trek.
The views once you reach the beach are different, and not usually beautiful. It seems the nude beach-goers are usually the elderly or those who are nude solely for their own benefit. Don't expect to see naked Baywatch babes running with their unsupported breasts bouncing together, BUT you may find some entertainment in the naked volleyball games with all sorts of stuff bouncing and jiggling...
This beach is definitely less crowded than other beaches nearby, and people, as you may imagine, are very carefree. Always a good time at Black's...

Blacks is an educational experience for those not well-versed in the literal interpretation of "How's it hangin'?"
It is also, without a doubt, the most beautiful stretch of beach in San Diego. With sheer cliffs on one side and endless ocean on the other, low tide is an orgy of beauty. If you can ignore the ACTUAL orgies occurring on the north end of the beach, Blacks is an amazing place to spend the day.
There is a group called the "Blacks Beach Bares" who help maintain some semblance of safety. That is, they want to protect their tan-lines (or lack thereof), and to ensure that CA continues to turn a blind eye to their hanging wangs, they go out of their way to keep the beach safe and clean. You can find them on the northern end of the beach in between their hallmark flags. They're actually quite nice.
The beach is typically uncrowded, in part because getting to it requires effort (beyond finding parking). Because people don't abound, wildlife does. It is not unusual to see pods of dolphins, seals, and the resident Peregrine falcon looping overhead. If you're feeling particularly motivated, you can walk all the way to Torry Pines Beach - a rocky path connects the two.
Be sure to bring plenty of water and sunblock... otherwise, you'll have to borrow some from The Naked Guys.

How I haven't reviewed this beach is preposterous!
Nudity aside, as it's a huge attraction to this destination for many of us, I've had a life-threatening moment at Blacks Beach ... involving nothing other than a stranded baby seal.
Those of you fortunate enough to get me drunk may find this recantation a more entertaining experience in person. But here's the cliffnotes:
One fine summer day, while on summer holiday from Berkeley and visiting the family in good ole' San D, I decided to take a tanning trip (as though I need it) to the only place I know I can wear my cute tiger-print-speedo. Blacks Beach, there I was. Yes, naked men asked "what time is it?" and "what are you reading?" sporadically through the afternoon. But the real shock came as I was leaving.... I had packed my murse, put the board shorts & white-t on. I was walking the strand back to the steep trail up, which led to my truck when I noticed black lump of something hanging out on a mound of sand. As I neared, I noticed that this black lump of something or other was bobbing a little head. The closer I got (my vision wain't as keen as it used to be), the more I could make out that this black lump of something was a baby seal! Now I was lovestruck. I thought "God sent me an Angel. Answered my prayers for a child in the form of a Seal! and I WANT IT!"
So I stopped.
I observed.
I looked around for this poor little orphans family. But our little Annie Oliver Twist had nobody around. So I cautiously approached, bent at the waist as to appear smaller. When Annie Oliver Twist saw me approaching out of the corner of its' little eye, heshe looked over at me, tilted hisher's head and gave an angelic look of praise. (something I can show you in person).
I took this as approval.
I continued to approach.
As I neared, there was no signs of disapproval. In fact, there was a little sound a glee (or so I thought) emitting from Annie Oliver Twist's cute little beak. And I sat. I sat next to Annie Oliver Twist for a good thirty seconds. Then I extended my cute little hand....

My little Annie Oliver Twist barked, hissed, bit, screamed, gnarled, growled, hissed, vomited, scratched and mamed towards me. Needless to say I pissed my pants, jumped back 20 feet, cursed the day I ever adopted that sh*thead Annie Oliver Twist, took a cell phone picture, and left angry and disturbed.
I've yet to return.

This was my paradise forever... I really really miss it. It used to be a nude beach but they kinda revamped it. It is so beautiful especially if you are up for the walk of death as I like to call it. The view is amazing. We would usually go and spend the whole day... Taking food and drinks down... The surf isn't that great but there are a lot of surfers that hang out... Make sure you go to the left though because towards the right is where the nakedness starts LOL... It's also known for being a "gay" beach I would go with my pseudo boyfriend all the time a lot. This place was heaven and so peaceful...
If you are ever in La Jolla and La Jolla shores gets too crowded this is the perfect retreat...

This is the best beach in San Diego. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the walk down to the beach is treacherous. The beach is a great place to go if you want wide open space to indulge in the beauty of the ocean and it's might. The sand is soft and the cliffs behind you are an amazing sight to behold. Black's Beach is not for the light hearted though. There aren't hundreds of bikini babes or surfer dudes sprawled out across the sand. There are a few nudes though.
The walk down the Black's isn't bad if your in decent shape. There seemed to be a couple hundred stairs scaling the cliff side that looked like they would collapse at any moment. And it's not an easy climb when it's sunny and warm, like it so often is in SD.

There is no way I could give this beach less than 5 stars. This is one of my favorite places in San Diego. The hike down is beautiful and fun, and the beachgoers are friendly. There are a lot less people here than at most SD beaches, which is nice. You don't feel like you're going to end up on your neighbor's beach towel if you roll over. Every time I come here, I feel so relaxed and peaceful. Until the walk up, and then I feel like I'm dying. Totally worth it, however. The only negative is the overly tenacious squirrels at the foot of the cliff wall. Those things are fearless!

oh, but if you come for the scenery and wonderful cliffs to hike up and down, it's five stars...

That song, written decades ago, was probably penned about Black's. It certainly doesn't apply today as it seems all of San Diego now goes here: "Well down on the beach, where EVERYONE goes..."
We came here years ago to surf but it's been a nude beach long before that and we were always amused to pass naked sun-bathers on our way to the surf. Smart-asses would always try to get us to surf naked but I never saw anyone do that...except in the tropics. Something about the chilly water and making nipples hard as diamonds.
The surf here is for experienced wave-riders only. Calmer waters are found north or south of here but the deep water canyon off Black's causes a huge upsurge of waves that'll beat the shit out of anyone that doesn't know what they're doing. Fair warning.
This area, home to rare Torrey pines and a fucking golf course, is picturesque to the extreme. Tuscany or the Riviera have nothing on this place. But the growth of industry, condos and Mac Mansions all around it have significantly reduced it's attractiveness for those that sought isolation and freedom from the masses. And it's only going to get worse, unfortunately. I know I'm exposing my age when I say I can recall driving down the I-5 passing endless fields of cultivated flowers around Leucadia and not seeing a single house or condo above the bluffs. Not so these days. Realtors and developers would tell me this is the price of progress. Well, if that's progress, maybe I should spend more time in Tuscany. I know I'll have to wear clothes but that's the price of progress, eh?
Update: Since y'all were so nice comping this review, I share my only naked surf story with you. It describes why you just don't see anyone doing it. If you don't like reading about pain, turn away now, child, turn away.
My boyfriend and I were in lower Mexico, a place called Puerto Escondido aka "Mexican Pipeline" aka "Ball-Buster Beach" and the surf wasn't all that big so he says "I'm gonna do it!". I say "You better not". He says "Bah!", drops his trunks and throws himself into the surf. I stood on the beach, camera in hand, knowing a Kodak moment was nigh. First wave he gets, arms, hair (and everything else) flying and I get the picture. He begins to paddle back out and duck-dives under a wave. A second later, a horrible screech fills the air, I'm sure heard all the way to Guatemala. In a flash, he was on the shore bleeding profusely from his sack. Like a ruler slapping a desktop, his board had slapped his willie.
I was a nurse, had the equipment and put eight stitches in his scrotum. He never did that again and we didn't have any sex the rest of the trip. And with him, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Well first things first, its a nude beach. But it doesn't really matter if you're a fan of public nudity or not, it's a beautifulllllll beach. Cliffs in the background. Naked people all around. Good surf. Plus it doesn't usually get very crowded. I love this place and it's probably one of the main reasons I got through living in the dorms at UCSD because its at a walkable distance. Its kind of a shitty walk on the way back because it's all up hill, but it's a nice little adventure and personally I have no problem walking down or up it for this beach. Definitely an interesting place to visit while in San Diego. Just avoid the creepy people that tend to show up there.
Oh yeah, and on the first full moon of every month there are hippie drum circles at night, which are a trip and a very interesting experience. I always look forward to thoseee
