hmmm... the price at this place is weird. or maybe the guy was
just sincerely nice. we had a mix of residents and non-resident
and we all got the same price: $15

oh! but be warned, the online website price is $1 different from
what you're paying on-site. i suppose website is just not updated??

the course itself was a lot of fun. there's variety of length, variety
of angle, etc. most imporantly, "VERY LAID BACK" highly
recommended for the beginners like moi!

I came here for a company picnic, cute place! This place accommodated a very large group and has a good number of serious grills for caterers to use if needed. If you're looking for a nice shaded place to accommodate a large crowd this could be it. The place also has nice pools, I was pretty surprised. Blackberry farm also has a pretty big  golf course.

This is a nice place to play if you're just starting, or just looking to play with some friends that don't take the game seriously.

The green fees are reasonable at around $16.  The course is in decent shape with small greens.  The longest hole is probably less than 300 yards, so you can get away without carrying all your clubs.  There is a small putting green to practice, but no driving range.

If you're lucky and catch the Blue Pheasant next door open (they have always been closed when I'm there), it would be a great place for an after-golf cocktail.

Came here for a birthday BBQ and the place looks great! It was recently renovated, so everything is new well kept. The 3 pools are fenced in now with a grassy area so you can put your towel/blanket and lay out. The price to get in the pool area isn't bad either $8 non residents/ $6 residents and if you wait til after 5 its $2 non residents and $1 for residents. Will definitely be back!!

As most of the reviews have already stated, this is an excellent course for beginners or for a quick game to stay sharp.

Its affordable and the people that play here are very nice company.  Its also very scenic and quiet as it is nestled in the foothills of cupertino.

its wide enough that it is forgiving for beginners looking to establish consistency, but with enough obstacles that it isn't boring.

the best part is that other players here realize that you are here to learn and are patient even with the slowest of golfers.  even though this is a very slow game (golf in general) and its supposed to be taken at a leisurely pace, i couldn't help but feel rushed at other courses i played at, namely Shoreline and Saratoga Country Club.

This golf course is great for the beginning golfer. (I learned here)  It is a 9 hole course which costs about $12 weekday or so. (Less if your a Cupertino resident)

I give it 5 stars with the beginning player in mind, NOT for avid golfers that play regulation courses. Having said that, if your a 18 handicap or better and want to work on your iron game, this place is not too bad for a 'quick' 9.

The first hole is a 180+ yard par 3, so it is fairly challenging right off the bat.  (First tee jitters ???)  Not to worry, I found that most of the players here are either beginners / novices or seniors.

One word of advice, make sure you mark your ball !!!  People will pick it up and take it !!!  (Happened to me a few times)

This is a great course for someone who is just learning.  I take my wife here frequently.

While I would never come here on my own, (I frequent Cinnabar) my wife feels totally comfortable playing here for one very good reason: everyone is terrible.

Now , that's NOT a bad thing.  It's a GOOD thing.  Everyone realizes that you're not hacking away at a dirt-cheap 9-hole course with aspirations of being Tiger Woods.  Hence, everyone seems to have a pretty good attitude about balls flying across fairways and the like.  It's actually a lot of fun and it's quite infrequent that you run into some wannabe who's raging mad that he missed a putt.

It is quite noisy due to the bizarre weekly children's birthday parties at the houses next to the 1st fairway and the public swimming facility that runs along the back edge of the course.  However, this seems to comfort newbie golfers as opposed to the dead silence of a real full-length course.

I highly reccommend it as a great place to learn before attempting something more daunting.

It's a great place for amateurs to practice how it feels like being on the course.  Most of the people playing here are also pretty laid back.  This 9-hole course has a combination of long and short holes so you get to try out your different clubs for a short game.  Golf is more than just the driving range!

I played my first par 4 hole here and it took forever because I didn't think I'd ever get on the green with my zigzag aiming skills.  There are a few strategically placed sand bunkers around that par 4 hole so it's challenging enough for a beginner.  There's also water along the course to lose some golf balls in or to fish golf balls out of.

Overall, it's a great place to practice and ready yourself for the real thing, the formidable 18 hole courses.

Meh.

A lot of people I have played with think this course is tough but I don't think it is that hard at all.  This course used to be a good deal, but they changed their prices.  Cupertino residents play for a discounted rate.  Coupons are available online at their website.  Just google "blackberry farm golf."  You can't expect much from this course. It's a cheap short 9 hole course.

Stopped by here last weekend with a couple buddies just looking for a quick place to play 9 holes. The price is great, being $15 for residents and $18 for non-residents. Good place for beginners because I am as bad as you can possibly get. The holes are pretty straight forward without too many hills and whatnot. There is a tiny practice area which can be improved but I cant complain about the price.

So this tiny little golf course, more than 50 years old, is kind of a hidden treasure tucked into a shallow ravine in the Cupertino foothills, engulfed on all sides by residential development.  Considering that real estate values have shot through the roof, so to speak, in the South Bay, its totally miraculous that this little pocket of green relief still exists, and for public recreation at that.  I give it and the City of Cupertino which owns the little park and golf course, kudos for persevering in this competitive market, and for having the integrity to preserve something old-fashioned for the public good where they long ago could easily have sold out to developers.

I'm sure any golfer that has grown up in the South Bay has played this beginner's track.  It's the perfect place to begin one's golfing life.  I've taken countless friends here for their first taste of golf.  It's the home of many memories (such as almost getting decked by a wayward drive on the 1st hole of my first real round) and it's a great place to gain your confidence if you game goes south.  The practice facilities could be better.  Prices are low, which helps.  I wish they had food to bring on the course, though.

Nice course in Cupertino with well kept fairways and greens.  Great for beginners to learn and have a wonderful time.  For a 9 hole course I think it's one of the best in the Bay Area.  The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the degenerate kids who stole 2 of my balls that were in my fiarway and then lied about it.  $16 bucks for the green fees, $6 bucks for stolen balls!!!

If you like to play golf don't play here.  This course is filled with 1st timers, old women and hackers.  The tee boxes need a lot of work and each green is the same.  $16 to walk on the weekends is hardly worth it.  To end on a positive note, everyone on the course was very friendly.

what a GREAT place!  i don't golf, so i can't vouch for the golf course, but the picnic areas and the pools are great for kids, or get-togethers.  older children will love it because there is a waterslide, and younger kids can enjoy the wading pool.
