Review from Mike C.
Long Island, NY
My lady and I constantly go out for Italian and Asian cuisines, so in order to mix things up she suggested that we try a little taste of Germany. We like to keep things fresh in our relationship.
Committing to the German experience, we decided to each get a "beer sampler" so that we could taste a little bit of everything on the beer menu. The sampler equated to about 1.5 beers... and ranges from light to dark. The Amber was pretty good, but I'm a light beer guy so the Hefe-weizen was my personal favorite.
In terms of food, we started off with some bread (Brot). After one bite I wondered if we had made a horrible error. The bread was like a sour dough- it wasn't bad but def not the taste I was hoping for.
We then got the Black Forest Lager Fondue - which is 2 hot pretzels and a nacho cheese blend. Germany, you won me back! The cheese and beer mixture was delish and the pretzel was soft and warm. It hit the spot.
For our main courses I ordered the chicken strudel (chicken, ham, shrooms, mozz, in filo dough) while the mrs. ordered the skirt steak- both were enormous and out of this world! Didn't have room for dessert but they looked delicious too.
This place also has a mini beer garden on the outside!
So Gut! (German for good) -
Review from Susan S.
Farmingdale, NY
I went here on a Monday night which was pretty dead but at least we got the whole dining room to ourselves! I felt that the service was great and our waiter was very kind. I ordered a Hefer-weizer and my boyfriend ordered an Amber. I thought my beer was a little too lemon-y but his amber was quite delicious!! We ordered the flamecake as per the reviews on here but I would stay AWAY from it. Was it good? Yes. Was it loaded with the typical fattening toppings that every American will enjoy? Yes. Was it was too large to be considered an Appetizer? Yes. It was saturated in oil, coated in cheese and smothered in bacon. Not a culinary masterpiece. You could run over to Applebee's or any other miserable chain restaurant and get this for half the price.
What drew us to this place was the hopes of German food. I had ordered the Sauerbraten and my boyfriend ordered the Jager Schnitzel. I felt they were both absolutely delicious! Just returning from Germany a month ago, it was easy to compare and contrast. The gravy on the Jager Schnitzel wasn't quite traditional but it wasn't bad either. The beef in the Sauerbraten was very tender and what it was marinated in was AMAZING. I had asked the waiter what it was but he was very vague (chef...you need to educate your waiters every night!!). The red cabbage was a great classic and while I had doubts on the spaetzle, I was pleasantly surprised how authentic it tasted.
Overall I was pleased and would definitely go back. I'm so happy to see there is a NON-CHAIN restaurant in Farmingdale for once! We need more of that!! -
Review from Glen R.
Hauppauge, NY
Let me start off by saying that I've probably tried nearly 1,000 different beers, used to brew beer, am still a member of a beer of the month club and my idea of "light" beer is one with less alcohol...I believe I know beer pretty well.
There must be strange alien force over Black Forest Brew Haus that makes people say they like this beer. It's not good...period. The smoked porter was down right gross and tasted like it was brewed with liquid smoke...and it probably was. The Hefeweizen tasted like lemon pledge and the rest were simply forgetable. Don't get me wrong...you'll find one to drink. You just won't go home saying how good it was. The alcohol content must best be super low also because after 5 pints on an empty stomach I barely had a buzz.
I came here because a group picked it for dueling pianos so I checked other Yelpers thoughts about the food. I listened and made sure we ordered pretzles and the flamecake for apps and the rest I didn't care about. I must say that both were great. I honestly didn't even want to chance the other pseudo German food so my wife and I just split a hamburger and it was pretty tasty. The other 4 people didn't care for their food and one barely touched it.
So...thank you Yelpers for steering me in the right direction with the food but how you like this beer is a mystery. -

If you are looking for legit German food, this is the place to go on Long Island. They don't joke around when it comes to house-made schnitzel and authentic German fare. I personally am not a fan of the old-school German cuisine, but I would recommend it for people who are. The beer is good and inexpensive as well, and there is certainly an atmosphere to the place. It is also cool to see the in-house brewery and watch the staff tend to the beer. Kind of like a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory vibe. I might not go here again because it's not my favorite kind of food, but if you like it German, you will like it here!

Aurora, IL
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Being 1) not a lover of German food & 2) gluten free, I was not expecting very much. We went here after my husbands grandmas funeral this past week. After perusing the menu looking for something I COULD eat & something I WANTED to eat before getting on a plane, I settled on the chicken brat with sauerkraut & subbed in a baked potato for the fries. The brat was nicely seasoned, the sauerkraut was nice & tangy, baked potato was burnt, but I can deal. Also ordered a bloody mary, which was awesome! Even my husband, who doesn't like bloody marys, enjoyed it. Fresh horseradish, nice fresh tomato flavor, couldn't taste the vodka, but it was still great. Interior of the restaurant was a little dingy, but BEAUTIFUL bathroom. I heard no complaints from anybody else, & the flamecake smelled awesome & went quick so I'm guessing it was a winner. All in all, I left satisfied & would consider coming here again, you know, next time I'm on LI.

Review from Laura D.
For the most part, I enjoyed my meal at Black Forest Brew Haus.
We sat near the back where they brew their beers and I found being there to be really relaxing. We even watched the brewmaster doing some brewmastering, which was exciting for me. Our server was ok, not especially sugar-sweet or friendly, but certainly not UNfriendly or mean.
Food wise, I tried the Black Forest Amber beer (yummy!), the lager fondue (yummy!) and the knockwurst, which was listed as being "served over black bean chili", but was really served along side a tiny bit of somewhat black beanISH chili on a bun. That was a little disappointing, not because it didn't taste good, but because it wasn't what I wanted and expected. Also, it was kinda just a big hot dog. Meh.
Anyway, I'm giving Black Forest Brew Haus the benefit of the doubt here and assuming that, as a not German food connoisseur, I just messed up in ordering. I really liked this place overall and will definitely make an effort to come back soon. -

San Diego, CA
I never had German food before so I was very enthusiastic. We did ask at Hilton where we were staying and the girl at the reception also encouraged us to try. So, we went there for lunch on a Sunday. It's a huge place with nice decorations on the wall, etc. Ordered a kids meal (Chicken strip with fries), loaded potato pancakes, beer and chicken Hiedelberg with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Well, my wife loved the potato pancake, the size was huge so she was full and didn't go for the main entree. As for the kids meal, it was really good, the chicken strips were crispy and tender, just the way my daughter like. Chicken Hiedelberg was not anything special, I mean it was a chicken cutlet with sauce on top of it with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables on the side. The taste was okay nothing great. The best part was the beer. My wife ordered Amber and I ordered Smoky beer and both were amazing. Service was good, we reached at around 2PM so it was almost empty, hence we got the full attention of the waitress. Ambiance was not bad either. I guess, it comes to life in the evening time. I would love to go there for dinner someday.

This place screams great in all directions.
A secret gem hidden in the back streets of Farmingdale where they brew their own beer, and delicious beer at that! The hefe is my personal favorite and always love trying the seasonal brews. Food is outstanding especially the chicken quesadilla, yes I know it's not what you would expect but it's so fresh. Also the Munich melt and ahi tuna wrap are both amazing! My friends and I have easily closed this place numerous times over the years and plan to for years to come.
It's great and a must try for any German/beer lover. -
Review from Kim W.
It was ok. The beer here is pretty good. I'm not much of a beer drinking b/c I really don't like the taste but it was not bad here. The loaded potato pancakes were really good. Kind of like potato skins but in pancake form. The Bavarian Onion & Ale Soup Au Gratin was not that great. Maybe because it was barely warm but I've definitely had a lot better. I had the Jager Schnitzel, which was a huge portion. Those potato dumplings are no joke. They're gigantic. Probably one would have been good enough. My schnitzel was covered in a mushroom gravy and there was plenty of very sweet cabbage. Overall, I would say come for the beer. The food is ok but could be better. The place is also pretty big and it has a beer garden, which I suspect is crowded in the summer months.

I'm going to go ahead and say it...
I love this place. Okay, I know what you're thinking, "Lauren, if you love it, why did you only give it three stars??"
Easy.
I love it for the atmosphere and their delicious, freshly brewed beer. Their food leaves MUCH to be desired (which is why they only got three stars). But, if you go ahead and drink more beer, you may not notice this so much.
It's most definitely worth the trip. But, if traditional German fare is what you fancy, you may want to find another place to grab a bite. But, do drop in for a beer! They're excellent.
Also, they have a great outdoor patio that is perfect for a sunny Friday lunch. -
Review from Peter C.
I've only been here once, but the one time I was here, I thought it was decent. I only got the plowman's platter which I would give a 3.5 outta 5 stars. The reason why I give it the review a 3 is because of this one waitress who was kind of grilling us because we were at our table for awhile, but it wasn't even packed on a friday night.
One thing that I would've liked to stay around to see was the piano duel. It sounded interesting and I caught a bit of it as we were leaving. -
Review from Sarah H.
okay. Yes it is a tad bit over-priced but the food is good and the beer is even better. I highly recommend the Rouladen which is vegetables and pickles rolled up in beef OMG it is good. Served with red cabbage which is ok and potato dumplings WITH gravy that is amazing IMO. When I am having my salty/carby cravings this dish is beyond perfect. Pair it with thier delicious full bodied Hefeweizen and you will be nice and full. I really do like going here but only two times a year or so. The meals are heavy but tasty and satisfying. The beer and the potato dumplings/gravy stand out.
Also they just added a new smoked lager to thier beer menu which you must try if you are a beer person. It really tastes smokey!
It does! -

If I was rating the Black Forest Amber lager alone, I'd give 5 stars. Its truly one of the most well balanced lagers I've had, period. I've had the pilser, imperial pilsner and the hefe-weizen too. All are good but the Amber lager is the star.
The food is good enough. I've been coming here for a few years now and throughout that time, the following have been consistently good: Ribs, burgers, salads (as main course). I had once asked a waiter about the German dishes; he advised to avoid and stick to the American fare. It may have been his personal opinion but I've never tried any of the German-style dishes thus, I have no opinion anyway.
The look is more craft-brewery than dowdy and run down German-American restaurant. That's a very good thing! Its clean, newly renovated bathrooms, hardwood floors, outdoor patio, large functioning brewing tanks on display. It has more of a pub look about it.
The servers, hostess and bartenders have all been consistently friendly and professional as well. I keep coming back, the beer is the draw. -
Review from Dennis U.
German food at best can be a bit uninteresting. German food at mediocre just ain't worth it. A lot of reviewers came here for the beer and more power to them. If You're here for the food find something better to do.
First of all this is a barn of a place with a curious atmosphere. Sort of Germanic but generally uninspiring. They feature a number of home brewed beers that my beer connoisseur companion complemented. The wine list features a number of inexpensive wines but interestingly enough no German ones. I settled for a somewhat sweet Australian Riesling.
Food wise I ordered the plowman's platter which was 3 different sausages, kraut, and German potato salad. The potato salad was good, the kraut and sausages OK but nothing to write home about. I had a potato pancake on the side and it could have been replaced with a damp piece of card board with little change in consistency or flavor.
I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. -
Review from Justin C.
Love this place. Been going here for close to 4 years now.
I almost hate to review this place, cause i've always felt like its 'my secret place' which im sure a lot of other people feel this way too.
They beer is great, my fav is the Hefewiezen, easily. They def have a bavarian feel to them. Hostess, waitresses, and bartenders are extremely nice. Heck, even the bouncer who is there only on certain nights is nice.
Best quesadilla's i've ever had, i know, weird to say from a german place. You can just taste how fresh they are though. Pretzel and pretzel bread, the brewben sandwich. The burgers, i really just cant say enough good things about this place. -
Review from Paul D.
I'd break out the tired "well, it's more of a 3 1/2...blah blah blah," but F that S. I had a great time here, so 4 stars.
Now that that's settled, the beer: They have about 5 or 6 beers on tap brewed on the premises, priced in the $5-$6 range. I only had the stout and the heffeweizen, and both were pretty good. In fact the heffeweizen was damn near perfect. I definitely want to try the rest.
The food: I had hops smoked ribs that were delicious, incredibly messy, and...wait for it...it's coming...Falling. Off. The. Bone. Not as delicious as I've had at some BBQ joints, but up there.
My wife had Captain Crunch fried chicken. I had a piece and it was glorious. She said it could have been paired with more savory sides, but when eating Captain Crunch fried chicken, can you really complain? About anything in life at all? (NO)
I want to sample the rest of the beers, and come when an oompa band is playing, or on a dueling piano night. In short, this place has much more to offer me for future visits.Listed in: Beers Beers Beers

We've been here a number of times, the beer is what keeps us going back.
4 stars for rotating beer selection brewed on-site.
2 stars for the so-so German food.
The flamecakes were good, and the pretzels and wursts were fine. However, other German specialties (schnitzel, kassler ripchen, sauerbraten, spatzel, red cabbage) left us unimpressed. Service is uneven, good some nights and poor on others.
I understand they hired a new chef recently, perhaps it's time for another visit to the BFBH... -

New York, NY
We got a brunch deal from Travelzoo and went to brunch the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It was packed! The staff, despite being very busy, were absolutely lovely. Not the most attentive but there were so many people that it really wasn't possible. The restaurant itself looked like a German brew house, not the ambient of places but it was clean and well maintained.
The food was pretty fantastic. The scrambled eggs on the buffet bar were the best I've ever had from a buffet. They weren't overcooked, brown and rubbery which automatically makes them a success. The sausages were standard brown and serve and could've been better but that's really my only complaint. The German food on the buffet was by far the highlight. The sauerbraten was divine, the red cabbage that topped it was absolutely amazing and I've been craving it ever since.
The drinks were good, we tried all 3 brunch drinks that were offered and they were all pretty good. The refills came quickly and the drinks themselves were pretty large. Definitely not bad for $25 per person. -
Review from corey c.
Valley Stream, NY
Place is VERY clean for a German restaurant...please don't take that offensively any of you Germans out there...but really German places just "Expect" you to show up and eat even if there is 40 years of stains on the rug!
Beer was excellent, a bit heavy but very good. Appetizers were good, although we got an order of "German" wings...i'll stop at that with "No comment". Other apps were good though, spinach dip and quesedillas. (that is one thing, the app menu was strange, no real interesting German apps).
Anyway, Dinner menu was good, I got Saurbraten and it was excellent, the other parties got a Seared Tuna Salad (WTF???) and a Panini (WTF???)...but I was at a business lunch so I wouldn't say anything.
Anyway, good food, not great, but i'd definitely go again. -

Fun combinations of german dishes - soft pretzels with mustard, potato pancakes, red cabbage, sauerbratten, pork of course in the form of wursts, pork chops etc. Tap beers.

Review from Krista M.
I have been to BFBH many times now and each time, it is so good. This is definitely the place to go for authentic delicious German food.
My go to entree is the Tafelspitz which is marinated beef sliced and smothered in creamy horseradish sauce. Served with potato dumplings and red cabbage. The horseradish sauce is to die for, I think you could put it over anything and make it delicious. The potato dumplings O-M-G are awesome, they come with this perfect brown gravy and are dense and silky and heavenly. The red cabbage is the best I've had tangy, sweet and savory. Yum!
They make awesome onion rings, super crispy (cornmeal coated I think) served with a creamy chipolte sauce. Also their Onion & Ale Soup Au Gratin is fantastic, kind of like French Onion soup only better. We've never had a bad dish here and always leave with happy stomachs.
The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. The service is always friendly and attentive. They brew their own beer, which you can see from the bar area, so their beer is very good and changes by the season.
I'm never disapointed with a visit to Black Forest Brew Haus. -

They brew their own beers right on premises and those beers are absolutely worth 5 stars! Phenomenal! Can't wait for Octoberfest season to return when they offer they seasonal special beers. You can even get refillable1-gallon jugs to take your favorite beer home! The bar/finger food is pretty decent... but this is certainly not the place you'd go for dinner. The German dishes are a real disappointment: they taste like nuked hospital food and so don't pass my "German seal of approval". 1 star for the German food :(

So here is my thinking, if I rating this place based on the food, then I would suggest you can get better value and tastier fare elsewhere. However, if I'm reviewing their beer and nightlife aspect, then I give them a 4. So net net it becomes a 2 because if your going to market yourself as a German Restaurant, then I expect to get something satisfying.
The brew selections are decent and the prices aren't too steep. The atmosphere is very Bavarian themed and def gives off the experience they are trying to sell.
Came here for dueling pianos, we all really liked it and thought it was a blast.
There is ONE thing on this menu that will bring me back FOREVER! Next time you come here order the flame cake. Its a super thin cruse pizza with marscapone cheese, caramelized red onion, and crispy bacon. Just typing that makes me think of when the next time I can run there could be. For beer, I like the smoked porter when it is available. -
Review from Ryan F.
Black Forest Brew Haus offers a decent Sunday Brunch and beer selections from their on-premises microbrewery.
Their Sunday brunch includes several hot and cold breakfast foods and a good sampling of German treats. They also have a carving board with two meats and an assortment of desserts. After eating indoors, we caught some live Oktoberfest music this afternoon, bringing our drinks outside to enjoy the entertainment. If you wanted to skip on the brunch, they had a nice patio BBQ with a-la-carte pricing on German "bar food."
Overall, this place is worth a visit for a good all-around experience, along with the German atmosphere and inspired food offerings. -
Review from Brian M.
Long Island, NY
I went here for the first time on a Saturday night recently. At first I was very surprised my GPS had led me into an industrial area of town, definitely an odd location for this type of place. I really like the decor, the wood paneling everywhere was a nice touch and the bars themselves were really cool looking - just don't look up, or else you'll be reminded you're in a warehouse because of all the exposed rafters. The beer was very good, however I was disappointed because the place was really dead for a bar on a Saturday night. I didn't stay long because of this, but I would definitely give this place another chance sometime in the future.

Okay, guys, I have no idea why this place doesn't have better reviews, except that everyone is going at the wrong times. I have three words for you:
1. Beer
2. For
3. Breakfast
I've been here for brunch before and now they've reintroduced it for Oktoberfest. Brunch comes with unlimited mimosas and bloody marys but you can also order beer. With your breakfast.
The brunch is deceptively huge. They have it spread out in four different sections, so make sure you don't miss any. They have plenty of vegetarian options, but I will say you'll be eating a lot of starchy foods if you're not eating any meat. Still, plenty of fruits, muffins, stuff like that. Do eat anything they have with potatoes (duh, they're German) and sausages. They will also make you omelettes, still included, you just have to let them know when they take your drink order.
I had a German soup, which was a potato soup thing with meat stock of some kind (definitely some kind of pig meat involved, so I, personally, wasn't that into it). I also had french toast which was solid, eggs, muffins, potatoes (quartered and spiced and divine), melon, mousse (skip it), who knows what else. There were like 120 things to choose from.
And they make their waitstaff prance around in leiderhosen and stuff. What's better than that? -
Review from A L.
Seaford, NY
The beer is decent, not great. The appetizers such as the Flame cake and the Hot pretzels with cheese are delicious, which is why this review is getting a 2 and not a 1. The German food however is absolutely gross. I have eaten here twice and both times ordering a different thing and both times looking at it and eating it made me feel cheated out of a real hearty home made German meal. Instead it was processed and canned garbage. If you go for happy hour enjoy the beer and some flame cake, but leave the German food alone!!

The brew was delicious. The food was pretty good. The service wasn't awesome.
These guys brew their own beers, which is nice and they are pretty good. I had the ribs, they were overly tender - poke it with a fork and it falls off completely but hey that's a preference thing. The service was a bit slow and inattentive. The bread was timely, the water refills weren't. Might go back, but probably won't. -
Review from Franco C.
Passable German style food - decent German style beer and an out of the way location.
They brew a beer or two there but while it is good the rest of the place brings it down.
The locals that hang here are kind of strange - hard to explain but it just seems everyone is hunkered down and looking into their beer. -
Review from Liz B.
I'm beer girl, and this is one of the few beer places in Long Island.
If you wanna go out and get some drinks anywhere on the island, its pretty hard to find a laid back no-nonsense place with a ton of good beers on tap. Black Forest only has 5, but they're awesome and they are brewed right there in the bar! They actually have these giant tanks- and every few minutes, staff members go in there and... well, I'm not sure what they actually do. They probably just act like they are doing something to make it some more authentic. But its still cool.
Anyway, check it out, order the Amber beer. Its smooth and tasty :) -
Review from Christine J.
Levittown, NY
I'm not so sure why I thought that this place was so awesome because it really is not that great. First of all, their beers that they brew are not that great and they don't change that often. Second, the food is really greasy and also, not that great. Everything is pretty expensive for the quality that you are getting. The one thing that I really do like is the Brewben. It's a Reuben on pretzel bread. I think I really just like the pretzel bread. Anyway, I'm not going to say that I will never go back here again, but I can bet that whenever I do decide to come back, I'm not going to leave fully satisfied.

Review from Amador A.
The first time I went here was in the summer for happy hour. The deck outside is big with a live band and the inside is just as big. Beer selection is pretty small given that is a "brew Haus" but what they have is good.
As far as appetizers I had the loaded potato pancake and out of all of the places I went to for potato pancakes (which was not many) this place was the best. For dinner my girlfriend had jager schnitzel which was ok but had a bit too much gravy. I had the pork roll which also was flavorful but I would not get it again.
Overall nice place to go to for drink and dinner. I would go back again. -
Review from Taylor O.
A cozy warm wooded feel with a double bar setup. They make their own beer and I usually go for the Maibock; it varied a bit sweeter this last time.
Like all things in this area Mondays and Thursdays are busy drink fests. The disparity between these nights and say a Tuesday are striking. Walking in the first time on a non-party night, everyone was politely seated at dinner tables eating quietly. On Thursday, the party comes out and the bars are bustling with the after work drinking crowd with only a few diners in the adjacent dining room.
The tender stuffed beef rouladen was excellent and the ploughman's sausage platter also good. As far as food, the sides were not good, seemingly canned tasting.
Different groups seem to have get togethers here; one of the coolest ones was vintage Volkswagens! -
Review from Steph M.
Long Island, NY
Strange that a girl who hates beef/pork/veal and has a general distaste of beer wanders in here. (I'm all about the experience.) The interior is spacious and appropriately decorated, wooden with German photos and knick knacks hanging around. I got to sit next to the giant cooper vats of beer. Yeah, cool.
Who dosn't like fresh, soft pretzels? They were random, and delicious... especially with the lager fondue (yes, thats beer AND cheese). The chicken strudel dish was pretty amazing. Mashed potatoes, cream of corn, chicken spinach... eveeeerything. Very heavy, would recommend sharing that one.
Now for the cons. Our waitress was ungodly slow and didn't seem to want/care/need to be there. In fact, the busyboy(man) was much more attentive and was around much much more than her. The apple strudel was dry, flaky and sort of burnt. Merh. I could tell the whipped cream was freshly made, but even that lovely morsel couldn't make my strudel better *sighs*. This place is a solid 3 for me. Rating may change as I do plan to go back there sometime to nosh on pretzels and other goodies. -

First of all I lived in Germany for 3 years and this food is not anywhere close or should not be called German. Not even German American. I went twice because I thought maybe the first time it was just an off day since I'd heard all these great reviews. The second time was recently and I ordered a hamburger since I was not impressed with the German food. Worst mistake I could have made, the burger came out raw....
I would never recommend anyone to eat here. However if you are going for beer than this is an all right place to get drunk. -

I like the authentic looking German atmosphere. The service was good. The home brewed beer was good, not great. A little bit of a let down. I tried 4 of their 5 beer offerings. The pils was pretty hoppy and dry. The Amber was OK, a little tasteless. The Sticke was too hoppy. I felt that the Brown was the best and took a growler home. The only one I didn't try was the Hefe-weizen. I did not go to eat. There menu had a little bit for everyone. I would definitely go on Thursday for 1/2 price apps on happy hour or Friday for the freeee Buffet. During the week at happy hour the beer is $3 vs. $5 from 3-6.

One of my first Long Island beer adventures. Good beer, so-so food. It's fun to sit at the bar and peek in on the random conventions happening in the dining room. The one about dental surgery was classic.
The crowd can be mixed. I once had the misfortune of overhearing a conversation by a drunk Southern/Texas? businessman that was so offensive that even the bartender didn't want to hear it. -

This is one of my favorite places to bring someone who has never been there. I like their beer sampler to start just to try all they have to offer. Then just top that off with 1 or 2 of your favorites and you will be feeling good. As for the food? Why not start with a loaded potato pancake with sour cream and apple sauce. You probably wont even have room for dinner but I have had their steak sandwich on pretzel bread and it was very good. I also like the fact that they take coupons from http://restaurant.com so you can get $25 off $50. You have to try hard to spend $50 for 2 people so bring your appetite.
I do usually see the same cast of characters hanging out at the bar. I like the fact that you can join their club and hang your own beer stein on the bar wall. I don't know the facts about it but I believe you pay a yearly fee and then pay less for the beer when you visit. I have never tried their free buffet on Fridays but it seems popular.
Try to come during Octoberfest. Nice looking girls in sexy dirndl's and goofy dudes in lederhosen. -

my friend was raving about this place for weeks. so i looked it up and was intrigued about it. i was sooo greeked about the $2 sangria that i convienced my friend to go 4 ladies nite. lets just say my expectations were not met. we sat in the patio section. our table wasnt clean nor did they bother 2 do so after we sat. the website stated that ladies nite started at 6pm but the door stated 7. we called and spoke to 2 different ppl who confirmed the 6pm start, but in actuality it was 7. drinks were horrible. couldnt get sangria since it was for the psychic event going on inside so needless to say no sangria, fail #1. the pinot was warm and the mojitos were like mint tea with no sugar. my friend's drink had a hair floating in it and mines had fruit flies or gnats which i almost had the pleasure of drinking. i was better off getting a beer, which i hate. by this time i was ready 2 leave. the 1 good thing i had on my bad experience here was the hand-rolled pretzels. dont bother with the cheese fondue. its just campbells cheese soup. it suck that im writing this bad review when i read all the good things that other ppl have said about this place. maybe i have to go inside to get a better experience. will i ever go back. hmmmm ehhh i dont know.........
PS i think ive gotten an allergic reaction 2 my drink cause ive been in need of a benadryl since 6:30pm. if you dont hear a new review from me at least by next week, you know what happened to me. -

Went for a late nite meal. The meals were good, the sausage sliders were appetizing and filling. The entrees offered are varied to suit most any taste. They brew their own beer here, I chose the Heffenweiise which was quite tasty. The meals are prepared "authentic" which echo the Bavarian cooking style though toned more to the American palate. You will be pleasantly surprised.
