    Great food!

Wow! so many choices on the menu... didn't know what to get! Ended up with the Grilled Pork Chops - two center cut pork chops, lightly seasoned and grilled, served with sweetened apples, white cheddar mashed potatoes, fresh steamed green beans and a tangy mustard sauce.  Yummy!  Fast, friendly service. Loved the atmosphere. Now I see why there's always a long line here...

I've had food here and drinks and everything's good. but one night my boyfriend and I decided to come here to eat and I called to see how long the wait was and if they did reservations. they have a call ahead list so you'll be on the list and when you get there they will shorten the wait time. but not in our case.

I called they said the wait was 25 minutes and when we got there we would wait 5 more minutes to get seated.

we got to the restaurant and made our way to the hostess who ignored my boyfriend and helped a guy who walked up after us...when we finally were helped she said the wait would be 25 to 30 minutes. I told her we called ahead and she had nothing to say.

so we decided to wait outside..and smashburger was looking better and better so we left. don't call ahead it's a joke. the foods good from past experiences but i would stay away on busy nights.

The menu here is large, and there are many items that me and my family love: fried calamari, fried artichokes, blue cheese wedge salad, Pale Ale chili, cheeseburger pizza, buffalo pizza, huge loaded baked potatoes, open face chili cheeseburger (crazy good!!) And who doesn't love a cookie fresh from the oven topped with ice cream? Yum

We usually have great service here, but if you come on a busy Friday night, you run the chances of less than perfect service. This is a no-brainer, but still some people are surprised when they show up at 7pm Friday and have a wait.

When no one can decide what sounds good for dinner, BJ's is always a crowd pleaser.

This was my first time visiting a BJ's and I was not disappointed.  I got the berry cider which was very tasty but the alcohol content was a bit low.  I got a half sandwhich and half salad which was a smaller portion than I thought.  The turkey cobb sandwhich was delicious and I liked the wedge fries.  The wedge salad was very interesting as it was literally a wedge.  I would have gotten the other choice of a salad.  It was a good experience despite the wait which happened because there were two tables of kids going to homecoming dances and birthday tables.

picked up food to go in a timely manner 15mins from the time i called. The food was done when i got there. The burger was overcooked and there was barely any sauce on it maybe absorbed by the bun. Frys were gooey and my the ranch on my salad was very thin. Usually this place is good but i guess pick up is a bad idea.

The Angel Hair Toscana was f'ng amazing!  I added the Cajun shrimp option, sooo good.  It literally looked like a pound of pasta in my bowl and the leftovers fed me for two more days.  The only thing I had to correct about the dish was that they didn't give me nearly enough feta and I loooove me some feta.

Other items ordered (to share) were fried artichokes (TASTY), and buffalo chicken won tons.  I was a bit leery about the buffalo sauce in a won ton, but surprisingly they were pretty tasty.

We had great service too: our waitress was very friendly and fast on her feet with refills and such.   I'd love to go back!

I love going to all the BJ's in general, but the waitress that served me that night at THIS BJ's was great. She gave suggestions and was all smiles whenever she was around. I love this place because of all the different sports playing on the screens and the food is yummy. I like ordering pizza, the cheddar bowl, the jalapeno burger, and the chicken limone over the angel hair here depending on what I'm craving. Their drinks here are delicious too. BJ's is a repeat place for me!

The food was eh.  The service was horrible. I was charged twice for the meal.  The waitress voided one of the charges, but never told us.  It generally takes a few days for those voided charges to come back, so my money is tied up for at least five days.

When I called the "manager" he simply said, "We're sorry.  We don't train our waitresses the ins-and-outs of voiding charges.  That's why she didn't tell you."

This waitress should have at least said, "We double-charged you.  It may or may not tie-up that amount for a few days."

The last time we went to BJ's my wife found a hair in her food.  This is definitely the last time we eat here.

I had a really good experience here tonight. Had the ribs and they were good... Not top notch bbq but very good for a non-bbq/non-steakhouse place.  The root beer is very good as well.

Our service was quick and very friendly and I don't hqve any complaints except for a little confusion... We order spinich stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. 20 minutes later after getting our salads the manager comes over to us and appologizes because they were out of mushrooms and offers a complimentary replacement.  Very nice... But after we finished our meal the table across from us recieved the mushroom appetizers...  I don't know... But thanks for a nice dinner.

If it wasn't for the Avacado Eggroll's and Jermiah Red we'd probably never come back. An hour and forty five minutes waiting for our food and the service was the WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIANCED IN MY LIFE!!!   They are lucky I even paid for the food after the service that was received. Our waitress appeared to be new and completely out of place. She came to our table 4 times within an hour and a half to tell us "the foods on it's way"   I kept calm and didn't blow up since my family was with me. But I would not recommend this place to anyone since there's so many other restaurants within walking distance that have alot more to offer and much better service.

Lots of reviews here so I'll try and use a grading scale for this review.

    Service:  D+
After coming here a few times, I've had a mixture of mostly shitty service and a few times when the service was OK.

    Appetizers:  B
    They are good, but overpriced.

    Booze:  B
Pretty good selection of beers, just wish they were a little cheaper.

    Meals:  C-
If you are just looking for a meal... go elsewhere.

    Atmosphere:  B+
Nice place for a date if you can't think of anything.  People seem to shout out BJ's as a default "safe" place to go.

With all that said, I would never go to BJ's on my own will.  Whenever I end up there it is because someone else has made plans there.

I called in for Call ahead seating and asked how long.... they answered 40mins... I was like Perfect... we are 35mins away..... When we arrived they said it would be 20 more mins.... then after 20 mins.... they came back with well about 15 mins more....

    UMMMMM I think NOT...

Sorry we went next door to Smash Burger and had a GREAT DINNER instead....

I hate their service, but I love the Great White pizza and the mozzarella sticks. There's always something wrong with the order and when you point it out, expect to wait for days to get the fixed order with no apologizes/comping.

Big parties like to come here even though the service for said large parties is NEVER good.

Big, loud, too noisy, too crowded, too hectic.

Beer is okay.  Food sucks.  Poor prep, worse than amateur cooking technique,  sloppy plate presentation,  frozen food ingredient flavors. Dead food that should be buried rather than eaten.

    Service is friendly but inept.

Claim Jumper is the same mass production corporate family friendly restaurant formula with better food, faster service and more tolerable ambience.  Claim Jumper is 1.5 miles down the road, go there instead.

I've been to this location twice now. When I come here, I know I'll get something I'll enjoy. On my visit Tuesday, I had the Margherita Pizza and a pint of the Porter beer mixed with Pear Cider.

The pizza was good (off the lunch menu). Crust was a little thin. I'd get this again as an appetizer.

The mix of the Porter and the Pear Cider was delicious! Pear Cider is one of my favorites at another brewery, so I was happy to see BJ's has this, also.

All in all, I'm a fan.

I like BJs because of the beer.  :)  Everyone can find something they like on the menu.  I've tried several different items.  I really liked the Barbacoa tacos, the steak salad, and the flat bread pizzas.  The bar area is large with lots of seating for large groups or couples.  There is a wall of tvs to keep up with whatever game is on.  The bar is comfortable enough to go alone or with a partner.  The ambiance is casual, yet nice enough to take a date.  Overall, BJs is a great choice!

So my family decided to order take out through BJ's website this time instead of going there to eat. The only issue we had was that the Fettuccini alfredo pasta kept getting error messages everytime we tried to add it to the order. After we got everything else on the order, the printout said it would be ready in 20 minutes (which seemed odd because we also ordered a pizza).

After my brother picked up the food and brought it back, we noticed a few problems. The Fettuccini pasta was extremly dried out; it had a waxy appearance and the bread sticks were rock hard. The chicken that was on top was also very dry and the dish wasn't even suppose to come with chicken. The fries that came with the BJ's Burger were soggy and the 'Crispy' Calamari apetizer was more rubbery than crispy. The only part of the order that didn't seemed screwed up was the pizza.

Overall, I think that they made everything else before the pizza and then left it somewhere, which explains why everything was dried out and soggy. I didn't think BJ's could disapoint me, but tonight's dinner was definalty 2 stars. Normally we don't have problems like this and I'd go back again sometime, but from now on its dine in instead of take out.

BJ's is always a great place to go to get consistently good food.  They seem to have some new menu items and we tried the Ahi tuna appetizer.  WOW!  It was great!  You must try it if you are into the sushi type food.

Always a busy place, so if you are in a hurry and don't want to wait, go on the off hours.  And on the weekends, plan on waiting at almost anytime. Food is definitely worth the wait.

HORRIBLE - came here to attend a friend's 25th birthday party.  We were a party of 12.  3 of us were able to order before the other 9 arrived.  2 of the 3 that ordered received their food way too early.  One didn't eat their food because we thought everyone else would get their food at about the same time.  After waiting so long, she asked the waiter to re-heat...yup, re-heat the food again.  I ordered a SALAD, and I didn't get my food yet.  The other 9 ordered their food and 8 of the 9 received theirs.  I was still waiting.  I complained to the manager.  By the time I received my food it was maybe 45 minutes later, they placed it in a to go box in a to go bag.  I had come back from the restroom after drinking 5 diet pepsis waiting for my food to find this bag in front of my seat!

The place was packed - about 1045pm on a Friday night.  NEVER this location ever again.

EDIT:  Even though 2 of the 12 that didn't get the food were comp'd, I still rate this place as 1-star.  I found it insulting for the waiter to think I wanted my food to go.  I was sitting there in the restaurant eating out of a to-go container.  If I wanted to have it to go, I would have gone to Jack's or some place less casual like LaBou!  BAD...VERY BAD

Ask your waiter if they brew their beer on site.

Foods I love at all BJs:
    1. Loaded potato with bacon and cheese
    2. Mini pepperoni pizza
    3. Pot stickers
    4. Burschetta
    5. forgot the name, but it's a pasta with white sauce and broccoli and chicken

The service last night was exceptional from the girl that helped us.  Anything and everything we wanted was at our table without any hesitation.  I hadn't been to a BJ's in about a year or more, but going last night and getting the service that I did made me want to come back more often.

I've eaten here twice now and been really happy both times. I had the Pale Ale this time and was satisfied with it. I ate the spicy spaghetti last time and the fish tacos this time, both meals were delicious.

The second time I went we were in a big group and my friend's meal arrived to the table about 5-10 minutes later than everyone else's and they comp-ed his meal.  I always appreciate good service that recognizes when something goes wrong and takes action to make it better.

I'm not in Sacramento a lot, but if I was I'd definitely go back to this place again and again.

BJ's is probably one of my fave hang out type restaurants to go to that has generally reliable food.

My friend Patrick and I did lunch here today.  I wasn't in the mood for a giant meal, so I ordered two starters:  chips and salsa and the chicken pot stickers.  YUM.

The salsa that comes with the chips is bomb.  Some of the best I've ever tasted.  BUT - I feel like every time I order this dish I need to ask for extra salsa because it's never enough for as much chips that they give you.  The pot stickers were perfect.  They're never soggy and they have just the right amount of crisp.  Not to mention, the filling is chocked full of flavor.  I almost never have to use the dipping sauce.  Though the sauce is tasty too.  I think it's teriyaki.

I always order a strawberry lemonade when I come here because they have one of the best I've tasted.  Free refills too!  Major plus.  So, two starters and one drink cost me about $18.  Not bad.  The starters could have easily been shared as well.

The food is always good and the beer is wonderful. I would normally say the service was top notch but not tonight. It took 20 minutes just to get water and 30 minutes to order. Well out of the norm. The manager didn't help us out on the bill because we were having an already discounted meal but he did give us a gift card worth almost as much as the meal for next time. All and all I will still come here.

Food is decent. Nothing to rave about...

BUT my biggest gripe with BJ's is the horribly slippery floor. I should have remembered from the first time I went to the Roseville BJ's two years ago- but was reminded again this past weekend that heels are NOT a good option.

Going from the table to the ladies room felt like multiple bad wipeouts about to happen. I'm pretty sure the rest of the restaurant thought I was drunk because I was hobbling all over the place while trying not to give them a show.

Moral of the story: ladies, think twice about wearing those pumps you just got at the Galleria.

Went here twice for lunch and I really want to give four stars but I can't. First time I had the chicken fettuccine and second time I had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were excellent and I sat at the bar both times.
Had the same server both times and she sucks. Not very personable. On my second visit she gives me a catchup bottle and says it's almost out (so why do you give this to the customer). Starts to give me a second bottle when the first one is obviously out, and I have to ask for more. The second bottle of catchup is practically empty. I'm wondering where is her common sense? She goes to the back and brings out a new catchup bottle without shaking it, so I pour tomato juice until it becomes catchup.
If the service was better at the bar during the lunch hour I would be happy to say I'm a fan and tip twenty percent. I just don't have a lot to look forward to when sitting at the bar for lunch.

"The soda isn't listed on the menu, how much is it" - me
    "How about free?" - server

I guess I caught a break there, or maybe we were in a huge group and he wanted a huge tip, which he got!  My friends and I celebrate birthdays at this location from time to time and we really have nothing to complain about!  Service is great!

Another good perk about this location is the happy hour.  $5 pizzas and discounted appetizers and drinks, you really can't go wrong here!

My personal recommendation would have to be the Great White pizza... which is basically their version of a Garlic Chicken pizza.  My friends also made the mistake of ordering separate Pizookies, when we could have ordered the giant one and saved a lot!  Oops, LOL.

I would also have to suggest the baked potato... it's huge! (TWSS LOL)

PIZOOKIE!!!  Need I say anything else? That has to be the coolest word ever!  PIzookie!  Pizookie!  Pizookie!!!

On a quest for comfort food we tried the Pizookie Trio!  Our flavors were White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Peanut Butter, and Cookies 'N Cream...  Mmmmmmm!

I try to be frugal handing out 5 stars but this place is one of my favorite restaurants.  Half of the north state must have the same feeling too because there's hardly a time when I haven't seen a line.  Fifteen to twenty minute waits are not uncommon.

Can't wait until our next visit!

    Had a great time....

Service was just fine.. Waitress was nice...

Plenty of options for happy hour food... We had the sliders with fries.. Tasty good and a huge portion... Tried a mini pizza and finished the whole thing...

The beer is good.... We liked the Stout and Porter... Didn't care for the light beers....

We recently went to BJ's because it was late, we were hungry, and we didn't want to drive to Sac...plus, the weekend atmosphere (especially in the bar area) can be pretty fun.

Based on my prior experiences with weak sauce mixed drinks here, I ordered a dirty gin martini--however, they managed to make what tasted like straight up olive juice :(

Dinner was pretty good and calorie laden as expected, but we noticed that the avocado eggrolls did not seem quite as good as we remembered...

    Would be a 2.5, but I'll give it a 3 for atmosphere :)

I'm not a beer drinker but I knew they made their own root beer but they also make cream sodas and cherry and orange sodas!!! Yum  The Pizza is the greatest and they have so many choices, everyone is bound to be happy here.  Lunch specials are great and they have plenty of salad and sandwich options as well as pizza.  They even have a frequent lunch card you can get signed to get one free after so many.

I had my 21st birthday dinner here a week or so ago so I feel the need to update this.

They were super accommodating, waitress was super patient, drinks were on point and got me just buzzed enough to still be able to function and go to the club after (and drinks are pretty well-priced!).

And I'll be honest, in my previous review I acted as though I tried every single pizza at BJ's, when that wasn't the case. I'm usually a pasta-kinda girl, and pizza when I just don't know what the hell to get. Well this time I went with a pizza- I forgot what it was called but it was like a supreme pizza with veggies, meats, etc. (maybe it was the BJ's combo or something).. but let me tell you.. it was hands down probably the best pizza I've ever had (aside from Fiori's Pizza in Pittsburgh, PA).. deep dish, cooked to perfection, crust was so delish..

I'm seriously on a BJ's pizza kick. I had the leftovers the next day then I ordered a large to go which I devoured for a couple days after.. and now I want more.

    Was this review …?

This must be the 5th location I've been to, plus or minus. With all the locations, I am very pleased with every experience. For a big chain restaurant, I'm giving it 5s because it never disappoints. I went in knowing that I wanted to sample their brew. They have sample size beer glasses and you can order up to all 8 of their brews or just 4 lighter 4 darker brews. I ordered the 4 tester set of light lager because that's my preference and shared a few appetizers. And of course, you cannot leave BJ's without a  **drumrolllllll but it doesn't need one** PIZOOKIE. Oreo is the way to go for the major sweet tooths out there. But you cannot go wrong with the original chocolate chip to their newer triple Ghiradelli chocolate. Good company, good brew, good food, only way to end this streak of goodness is with greatness... pizookie.

If someone were to ask me how was BJ's Rozeville location? I'd answer, "Same BJ's, different location, but their beer is good, really good, and pizookie has to be the universal word for delicious."

The stupid servers always get my orders wrong.. maybe because it's too damn loud here.. but other than that.. I love BJ's cajun shrimp pasta & midori sour! Order it for take-out.
