    Great food!

Wow! so many choices on the menu... didn't know what to get! Ended up with the Grilled Pork Chops - two center cut pork chops, lightly seasoned and grilled, served with sweetened apples, white cheddar mashed potatoes, fresh steamed green beans and a tangy mustard sauce.  Yummy!  Fast, friendly service. Loved the atmosphere. Now I see why there's always a long line here...

Started off with the house Hefeweizen and a plate of calamari! Great combo before the main course. The calamari was tasty and we finished it quickly. The portion was a little on the small side though.

For the pizzas, I wanted to try both the BBQ chicken and the BJ's Favorite. I didn't want to order two different pizzas, so the waiter told me I could have both flavors on the pizza! So that's what I did. When it came out, I thought I was getting a deep dish pizza. What I saw was a normal pizza, and I was quite disappointed. Was I supposed to specify which one I wanted? Nobody ever said anything. Or maybe it was a deep dish and I didn't know it. Either way, still disappointed. Too much crust to topping ratio.

I also tried their new crispy jalapeno burger. It had about 5 or 6 deep fried jalapeno slices on the burger, but nothing was spicy. Overall, a mediocre burger but I wish it had more jalapenos so I could taste it more.

Lastly, for dessert, I ordered a mini white macadamia nut pizookie. At this point I was stuffed so this was the perfect size. The cookie and ice cream combo was delicious! I'm a fan of any of their pizookies.

Service is great here. These nice waiters are really helpful and will stop by pretty often to check up on you. Great beers and appetizers, OK food, and good service earns this place 3 stars!

    What has happened to BJ's?

I've been to BJ's more times than I can count now.  I work right in the area and tend to go after work for a beer or some appetizers, and I used to really enjoy it.  But now it just seems like the service has gone completely downhill.

Last night two of my coworkers and I decided to go out to eat after our shifts, and the first choice was BJ's.  It was Happy Hour and the hostess told us we could go choose anywhere to sit.  Originally when our waitress finally came over it took a good five minutes to get menus and a couple more minutes just for water.  My coworker ordered a mojito and I ordered a beer.  It took another five minutes for those drinks to arrive.  Finally, the waitress asked us for our appetizer orders which took nearly 15 minutes to arrive.  Keep in mind these were the mini-bites appetizers.. Quite a while to wait for a teeny-tiny appetizer that's fried.

When she dropped off our appetizers, I wanted to try my coworker's fried artichoke appetizer.  I asked her before I bit in if it was hot and she replied, "No. Not at all... Not hot. At all!"  I had ordered the mini meat balls and mine were not hot either, just slightly warm.  Not great.

Finally we ordered and waited quite a while for our meals which were not impressive either.  We asked our waitress to refill our waters at one point and she acted very irritated at the request.  We also asked her to split our checks because the three of us were paying with separate cards and she literally took a deep, drawn out breath and seemed like she was extremely upset by this request.  My coworkers and I looked at each other and didn't know what to say.  One coworker quickly said, "I'm sorry! If that's not okay..." The waitress responded, "No. It's fineee..." *Another deep sigh*.

The three of us didn't really know how to respond to her attitude.  She seemed to think that she was doing us some great favor by refilling our waters and the simple task of splitting the bill.  I'm almost tempted to not go back considering this is pretty typical of most of the service I've received here lately.  Last time I went to BJ's a friend and I ordered two beers and waited 25 minutes.  After that wait we decided not to eat there, and it took another half hour to get our check, pay and leave.

BJ's - your food isn't great, so you might as well do some extra service training to make up that deficit.

we started it off with a Best BeginningsTM Appetizer Combo that had Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Mozzarella Sticks, Avocado Egg Rolls and Santa Fe Spring Rolls. The appetizer was predictable nothing to great but was worth ordering to give us some fuel before the main course. (A tip appetizers always help get conversation stated).

We ordered two Pizzas there Vegetarian that had sliced mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, white onions and seasoned tomatoes and there Portobello Mushroom that had Flame grilled Portobello mushrooms, balsamic vinaigrette marinated oven roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, fresh thyme, parsley, Fontina cheese and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Now from reading the description of the Portobello mushroom pizza it sounds awesome, it could have been amazing but it was a huge let down and should be fined for false advertisement, on the other hand the Vegetarian was good and helped pick up the slack of the Portobello. For drinks, since we don't drink alcohol we had the usual cokes, 7ups, over cold ice.

On my recent visit to you location #436 we had an encounter with the manager on duty named Jeremy. We were there because of a fundraiser for my daughter's school, Junction elementary. All the employees knew about the fundraiser. At the time we ordered we told our waitress Michelle that we did not have the flyer but could bring it up on our phone to show her. She was awesome. At the end of the meal she talked with Jeremy and she stated that he would not honor the fundraiser because we did not have the flyer. I asked to speak with him. When he come to the table he did not even let us speak, nor did he even say good evening. He was rude and said he could not honor without the flyer. Then he proceeded to ask what fundraiser. Really say no then ask for what. This manager has to be the worst manager ever! I can't even believe that a fine place like Bjs would even hire this incompetent fool. When asked if we could email it to him and maybe he could print it for us he immediately said NO! I asked could he photo copy someone else's he said well.....I guess.
This type of employee should only be allowed to clean the toilets at a truck stop. He has the work customer service ever. The amount for donating was 15% of my bill which was $73.63 so we literally are talking about less than a $15 dollar donation. If I knew that the Jeremy was going to be so rude and ignorant, I would have rather just donated $20 to the school myself and not gone to dinner. I will NEVER come back to BJs. you can be assured I will post reviews everywhere online about this incompetent and ignorant Manager. I would like to know how a person like this would even be considered for a management posisiton.

I really like this BJ's.  It's big, it's clean and the staff is quite nice.  I was pretty impressed.  Our server was on it with all of our orders.  The food is decent, and well you can't go wrong with the beer.  There is nothing like having a ice cold beer on a warm day and the last time I was in Roseville for my nephew's birthday celebration it was 95 degrees.  I needed a beer, I was parched after Go-Kart racing in the heat. :)

I visited here the other night with my brother while his wife and his new baby girl rested at the hospital...she had just been born the day before. We wanted to get a drink and some food but didn't want to be in an atmosphere that was too loud and crazy, so we chose BJ's. I've been here many times before and their service, food and prices are always excellent! I really tried to order something different but I went with my usual...the Jambalaya! It's delicious...just try not to look at the calorie content!  I was glad we decided to go to BJ's instead of the "other" brew house, across the street. They weren't busy at all, and it was a nice, relaxing dinner with a Brewhouse blonde and one of my favorite Cajun dishes.

The Parmesan chicken with a lemon butter sauce over white cheddar mashed potatoes was excellent.  The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was someone took my food to the wrong table so I had to wait for them to make me a new one.  The server an manager both came to the table to apologize and I appreciated the follow up.  That is great service recovery from a fumble.

I've had food here and drinks and everything's good. but one night my boyfriend and I decided to come here to eat and I called to see how long the wait was and if they did reservations. they have a call ahead list so you'll be on the list and when you get there they will shorten the wait time. but not in our case.

I called they said the wait was 25 minutes and when we got there we would wait 5 more minutes to get seated.

we got to the restaurant and made our way to the hostess who ignored my boyfriend and helped a guy who walked up after us...when we finally were helped she said the wait would be 25 to 30 minutes. I told her we called ahead and she had nothing to say.

so we decided to wait outside..and smashburger was looking better and better so we left. don't call ahead it's a joke. the foods good from past experiences but i would stay away on busy nights.

The Angel Hair Toscana was f'ng amazing!  I added the Cajun shrimp option, sooo good.  It literally looked like a pound of pasta in my bowl and the leftovers fed me for two more days.  The only thing I had to correct about the dish was that they didn't give me nearly enough feta and I loooove me some feta.

Other items ordered (to share) were fried artichokes (TASTY), and buffalo chicken won tons.  I was a bit leery about the buffalo sauce in a won ton, but surprisingly they were pretty tasty.

We had great service too: our waitress was very friendly and fast on her feet with refills and such.   I'd love to go back!

The food was eh.  The service was horrible. I was charged twice for the meal.  The waitress voided one of the charges, but never told us.  It generally takes a few days for those voided charges to come back, so my money is tied up for at least five days.

When I called the "manager" he simply said, "We're sorry.  We don't train our waitresses the ins-and-outs of voiding charges.  That's why she didn't tell you."

This waitress should have at least said, "We double-charged you.  It may or may not tie-up that amount for a few days."

The last time we went to BJ's my wife found a hair in her food.  This is definitely the last time we eat here.

The menu here is large, and there are many items that me and my family love: fried calamari, fried artichokes, blue cheese wedge salad, Pale Ale chili, cheeseburger pizza, buffalo pizza, huge loaded baked potatoes, open face chili cheeseburger (crazy good!!) And who doesn't love a cookie fresh from the oven topped with ice cream? Yum

We usually have great service here, but if you come on a busy Friday night, you run the chances of less than perfect service. This is a no-brainer, but still some people are surprised when they show up at 7pm Friday and have a wait.

When no one can decide what sounds good for dinner, BJ's is always a crowd pleaser.

Lots of reviews here so I'll try and use a grading scale for this review.

    Service:  D+
After coming here a few times, I've had a mixture of mostly shitty service and a few times when the service was OK.

    Appetizers:  B
    They are good, but overpriced.

    Booze:  B
Pretty good selection of beers, just wish they were a little cheaper.

    Meals:  C-
If you are just looking for a meal... go elsewhere.

    Atmosphere:  B+
Nice place for a date if you can't think of anything.  People seem to shout out BJ's as a default "safe" place to go.

With all that said, I would never go to BJ's on my own will.  Whenever I end up there it is because someone else has made plans there.

I had a really good experience here tonight. Had the ribs and they were good... Not top notch bbq but very good for a non-bbq/non-steakhouse place.  The root beer is very good as well.

Our service was quick and very friendly and I don't hqve any complaints except for a little confusion... We order spinich stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. 20 minutes later after getting our salads the manager comes over to us and appologizes because they were out of mushrooms and offers a complimentary replacement.  Very nice... But after we finished our meal the table across from us recieved the mushroom appetizers...  I don't know... But thanks for a nice dinner.

I love going to all the BJ's in general, but the waitress that served me that night at THIS BJ's was great. She gave suggestions and was all smiles whenever she was around. I love this place because of all the different sports playing on the screens and the food is yummy. I like ordering pizza, the cheddar bowl, the jalapeno burger, and the chicken limone over the angel hair here depending on what I'm craving. Their drinks here are delicious too. BJ's is a repeat place for me!

This was my first time visiting a BJ's and I was not disappointed.  I got the berry cider which was very tasty but the alcohol content was a bit low.  I got a half sandwhich and half salad which was a smaller portion than I thought.  The turkey cobb sandwhich was delicious and I liked the wedge fries.  The wedge salad was very interesting as it was literally a wedge.  I would have gotten the other choice of a salad.  It was a good experience despite the wait which happened because there were two tables of kids going to homecoming dances and birthday tables.

Michelle, the bartender was perfect. I don't need much. Acknowledge me within a few minutes. Answer initial questions. Bring me what I ask for and check in after a few minutes. Check if I need anything more then bring the bill. Do this with a warm smile. The smile is just a warm fuzzy bonus. Great service isn't rocket science but so few places do it well. It looked like BJ's had service guidelines popping up on the computer screen. Maybe it takes constant reminding. Well, Bravo. The two times I've been here the service has really impressed me. The burger was cooked quickly and to a perfect medium rare. I walked out of another restaurant tonight because the bartender was too busy on his cell phone to notice me.

... As good as it gets!!! Last night my fiance' and I had dinner at BJ's and we both ordered from there new seafood menu.  We both chose the Creole Tilapia for which we both agreed was very good.  I'm also excited that BJ's also does not charge a corkage fee; we brought our own bottle of wine which we both really enjoy & it complimented our entree.  The first bottle no corkage... a second bottle $7.  This one aspect of there service for me moved them from 4 stars to 5 stars.  BTW, our service was impeccable - will definitely be my go-to restaurant!!!

We decided to stop in for a light lunch and try the new Mahi tacos. We were seated promptly by a very nice hostess and tended to immediately by a friendly waiter.  When we declined the sales pitch of appetizers and alcoholic drinks, the waiter's behavior changed immediately. After waiting 30 minutes, the waiter dropped the plates off quickly without saying a word.  The tacos arrived looking quite different from the advertised picture.  The Mahi was almost non-existent and I seriously doubt whether it was really Mahi.  My entire plate was very cold and the tortillas appeared to have just come out of the refrigerator. There was so little food that we finished eating within a short time and when we declined the waiter's offer of dessert, it was clear we had just wasted his time.  Even though we only stopped in for a light lunch, we were still hungry after a $22 check.

Big, loud, too noisy, too crowded, too hectic.

Beer is okay.  Food sucks.  Poor prep, worse than amateur cooking technique,  sloppy plate presentation,  frozen food ingredient flavors. Dead food that should be buried rather than eaten.

    Service is friendly but inept.

BJ's is nice.  The food selections are plentiful although many selections are pricey compared to same food at "unchained" restaurants.   The hawaiian mahi mahi was flavorful although, food arrived luke warm.  Flatbread pizza and garden salad was very good!  Felt rushed as we were offered dessert while still eating our meal and once we confirmed no dessert was being ordered, check was left for payment which again was perceived as them wanting us to vacate ASAP.

I've been to this location twice now. When I come here, I know I'll get something I'll enjoy. On my visit Tuesday, I had the Margherita Pizza and a pint of the Porter beer mixed with Pear Cider.

The pizza was good (off the lunch menu). Crust was a little thin. I'd get this again as an appetizer.

The mix of the Porter and the Pear Cider was delicious! Pear Cider is one of my favorites at another brewery, so I was happy to see BJ's has this, also.

All in all, I'm a fan.

HORRIBLE - came here to attend a friend's 25th birthday party.  We were a party of 12.  3 of us were able to order before the other 9 arrived.  2 of the 3 that ordered received their food way too early.  One didn't eat their food because we thought everyone else would get their food at about the same time.  After waiting so long, she asked the waiter to re-heat...yup, re-heat the food again.  I ordered a SALAD, and I didn't get my food yet.  The other 9 ordered their food and 8 of the 9 received theirs.  I was still waiting.  I complained to the manager.  By the time I received my food it was maybe 45 minutes later, they placed it in a to go box in a to go bag.  I had come back from the restroom after drinking 5 diet pepsis waiting for my food to find this bag in front of my seat!

The place was packed - about 1045pm on a Friday night.  NEVER this location ever again.

EDIT:  Even though 2 of the 12 that didn't get the food were comp'd, I still rate this place as 1-star.  I found it insulting for the waiter to think I wanted my food to go.  I was sitting there in the restaurant eating out of a to-go container.  If I wanted to have it to go, I would have gone to Jack's or some place less casual like LaBou!  BAD...VERY BAD

BJ's is always a great place to go to get consistently good food.  They seem to have some new menu items and we tried the Ahi tuna appetizer.  WOW!  It was great!  You must try it if you are into the sushi type food.

Always a busy place, so if you are in a hurry and don't want to wait, go on the off hours.  And on the weekends, plan on waiting at almost anytime. Food is definitely worth the wait.

just like any other BJ's you have your bar area with plenty of seating, huge tv, and lots of seating on the floor.  they were beyond packed on a saturday night, but we were set on eating there and stayed.  i was told 30 mins for table for 2, and the pager vibrated 10 mins later- very nice!  the servers were super prompt and chill for such a swamped night.  i'll admit i'm a picky eater and had quite a few subs for my order.  our server was great about it, and my food came out perfect.  much love for BJ's :-)

Their deep dish pizza's so delicious! My friends and I ordered Mediterranean, Five Meat and the Appetizer Combo when we were there a few nights ago. Mediterranean was very very good. I wonder how they make their crust so soft and moist. Five Meat was a bit too much but the Appetizer Combo was pretty yummy. The artichoke dip was just heaven!

Great place to eat and hang out with your friends!

So my family decided to order take out through BJ's website this time instead of going there to eat. The only issue we had was that the Fettuccini alfredo pasta kept getting error messages everytime we tried to add it to the order. After we got everything else on the order, the printout said it would be ready in 20 minutes (which seemed odd because we also ordered a pizza).

After my brother picked up the food and brought it back, we noticed a few problems. The Fettuccini pasta was extremly dried out; it had a waxy appearance and the bread sticks were rock hard. The chicken that was on top was also very dry and the dish wasn't even suppose to come with chicken. The fries that came with the BJ's Burger were soggy and the 'Crispy' Calamari apetizer was more rubbery than crispy. The only part of the order that didn't seemed screwed up was the pizza.

Overall, I think that they made everything else before the pizza and then left it somewhere, which explains why everything was dried out and soggy. I didn't think BJ's could disapoint me, but tonight's dinner was definalty 2 stars. Normally we don't have problems like this and I'd go back again sometime, but from now on its dine in instead of take out.

If it wasn't for the Avacado Eggroll's and Jermiah Red we'd probably never come back. An hour and forty five minutes waiting for our food and the service was the WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIANCED IN MY LIFE!!!   They are lucky I even paid for the food after the service that was received. Our waitress appeared to be new and completely out of place. She came to our table 4 times within an hour and a half to tell us "the foods on it's way"   I kept calm and didn't blow up since my family was with me. But I would not recommend this place to anyone since there's so many other restaurants within walking distance that have alot more to offer and much better service.

Food is decent. Nothing to rave about...

BUT my biggest gripe with BJ's is the horribly slippery floor. I should have remembered from the first time I went to the Roseville BJ's two years ago- but was reminded again this past weekend that heels are NOT a good option.

Going from the table to the ladies room felt like multiple bad wipeouts about to happen. I'm pretty sure the rest of the restaurant thought I was drunk because I was hobbling all over the place while trying not to give them a show.

Moral of the story: ladies, think twice about wearing those pumps you just got at the Galleria.
