BJ's is a fun place to go with a group or for desert. As others have said the pizookie is well worth the visit alone. The place has a youthful buzz about it which is infectious.

However, the food is average (pizza, grill sandwiches, etc.), the service average and the place is load. They use a valet to cram cars into their little lot which Anita me.

Been here a few times in the past for basically some deep dish pizza and beer, even watched a NBA finals game here in 08.  I'd have to agree that it's not the best place to be watching from the dining tables because the TV's are quite high up and tough to watch from a lower level.

The food here is alright, nothing really fantastic.  I pretty much think the food is generally the same across all BJ's, but hey that's what its supposed to be like right?  Last time I was here I came with a group of about 5 people and ordered appetizer items mostly for dinner.  I didn't really eat heavily at the time, as I wasn't a huge fan of anything other than the pizza.

I do give them props for a cool location, it stands very nicely on it's own.  But the place can get pretty hectic as the parking is limited and you have to use valet.  Wouldn't really go out of my way to eat at this particular location, cause I have one in my area near Oakridge Mall.

The service here is pretty shoddy for me usually. And the food isn't that great for the price you're paying (pizzas are pretty good though).

The pluses are that this is a very popular spot for people to catch up and hang out.

Come here for happy hour, but the place may be packed and you may have to wait. I would only come here to socialize, not to have a nice dinner.

I have been to this BJ's a couple of times. The most recent was for a friend's going away party. Parking can be a hassle. It's either you are lucky that someone is pulling out or wait. You could valet your car, but I'm not for a place like this. If I can't find parking, I usually park in one of the Apple employee parking lots and walk across the street.

For the party, my friend got a deal where everyone paid $14 each for all you can pizza, salad, and soda. It's a great deal, but I tried their deep dish pizza for the first time and it was not great. I'm not sure I would really call it "deep dish". What makes it so big is their crust. It's way too thick.

When it comes to BJ's, I will just stick to their avocado egg rolls, pizookies, and burgers. 3.5 stars for me!

Located a block from Apple, this place was pretty packed for a Thursday night.  The parking lot was totally full, not to mention they have a valet!  I've been to four other BJ's (San Mateo, San Bruno, Newark, and Vacaville) and this one was very different (in a good way). I lucked out and found parking as I did an Austin Powers parking routine (forward reverse repeat several times)....  Did I mention that the parking lot was full?.....

This BJ's serves beer on tap other than BJ's own beer!  I was pretty surpised about that...  One item that stood out was a local brew, Drakes IPA, that is brewed locally in San Leandro (very hoppy).

Came here with a few old colleagues of mine.  We ordered the calamari, flatbread pizza appetizers (we ordered basil and sausage, and they brought the margherita - still good).  I had the Texas Style Chicken Fried Steak (pretty tasty but needed more country style gravy).  Overall, pretty good quality, and moderately priced.

Good place for groups.

My mom and I used to come here for lunch occasionally to down a pitcher while ingesting mediocre food. Those halcyon days are long gone, and I now avoid this place like the plague.

It's not that the food is awful or the service bad (though neither can be called stellar by any standards), but the people I encounter here always seem like they were sent straight from douche paradise.

On one occasion, I was sitting at the bar with some friends. I'd been tipping heavily because I used to be a waitress, and anyone who's ever worked as a food server automatically tips on the high side of the scale. I distinctly remember laying down a $20 for the last drink I bought for a friend as we headed out because we couldn't stand the crowd. One of the bartenders chased us down and yelled with aggression, "Were you planning on paying for that last drink?" I already paid, you total dick, and definitely over-tipped you and your much nicer counterpart for how long you took in getting us our drinks (FOREVER).

Because my friend was gearing up for a fight and the bartender was being such a jerk that I wouldn't have been able to justify breaking up said fight, I handed the bartender another $20 just to get away from BJ's and its douchey clientele and asshat of a bartender. Had I been able to tolerate the atmosphere more than a minute longer, I would have asked to speak with the manager, because that shit is ridic.

The next time I want a decent brew with some good eats in the area, I'll head over to Tied House in Mountain View. The crowd is a little older, but I also never leave wishing I'd punched someone in the face.

BJ's great for a big group outing. We were celebrating a birthday and with 11 of us, it was nice to have a reservation and then have a spacious table to converse.

But before we were even seated, my FAVORITE part of the whole experience was the FREE slices of pizza that was served WHILE YOU ARE WAITING for your table. We were the first to arrive and I was STARVING! So when a guy came around the waiting area with a big platter loaded with fresh hot cheese pizza, I couldn't help but snag one, and devour it with glee. Mmmm. Nice touch BJ's!

For our actual dinner, half of us shared  1 Medium "Great White" and 1 Large BJ's Favorite. It was actually the perfect amount for the 5 of us but what happened was they messed up our order by throwing anchovies on the pizza. They apologized, made the Favorite as ordered, and then offered us the anchovy version for free. Granted, not many of us like anchovies but we landed a free large! We all left with lunch for the next day.

And of course we had a Pizzookie in celebration of our bday girl. We got one free chocolate chip pizzookie a la mode with a candle. And then got one more, oreo style. Really liked the oreo pizzookie. Yum!

We left stuffed and happy. But warning, it was drafty in the enclosed "outdoor" area. The glass was closed but the open doors left a draft on an unseasonal cold night.

I have been here few times with different groups.  The prices aren't bad, the food is decent.  I always get the pear cider with my meal, slightly sweet  but not as sweet as a mix drink.  This place is good for a big group of friends or a night out with the girls.

Huge portions, decent microbrew, good prices, very good value.  Usually quite busy due to all of the above.  On really busy days there can be a wait of a good part of an hour.  The place is fun and the food and drink are good, but it's not really spectacular and the beer is not brewed on site.

Very nice guest brew program where they bring in some very nice brews from outside, including Belgian lambic ales and regional microbrews.  The beer manager is obviously quite good, even if B.J.'s own brews are only above average.

Lots of big screens and games on makes it also a good sports bar.

Yes, the pizookies are great.  And it's  nice to sit at the patio when you have a huge group.  But I went again and realized that the waiters are either extremely forgetful or they aren't that accommodating to dietary needs.  My friend ordered a "BJ's Cobb Salad--hold the Cobb Salad," and instead he got the regular Cobb Salad.  Luckily he wasn't allergic to Cobb Salad or there would have been some serious liability issues that they must take responsibility for.

This is where all the kids from my high school (the Asians at least) went before homecoming and other dances. I always opted for Japanese instead with my date, but here I am again, back where I started...so I decided to give it a shot with my Apple friend, who is less Asian than I am.

BJs would not be my ideal date place. It is simply not cute enough; in fact, it is not cute at all, but it works well for a casual lunch, with many options under $10. Service was really friendly and the restaurant was clean and spacious.

He ordered pale ale and pale ale nachos. The latter was humongous and cheesy-licious and tasted nothing like ale, thank goodness. I ordered a half Caesar Salad half Chicken Club sandwich combination, which also came with fries (I like them wedge cut!). The meal was definitely on the rich side, especially the sandwich...I'm pretty sure they used a couple pats of butter for the bread. Delicious for sure--with all that cheese, bacon, chicken, and buttery bread? You can't go wrong.

Verdict: I have no complaints about BJs. Pun intended.

Hate, hate, hate the service at this place.  The first time we visited, we were sat in the Bar area and our waiter barely gave us the time of day.  He practically threw our food at us when he brought it.  Never asked if we needed more and basically gave us dirty looks!  We had our 3 kids with us, but they are older and very well behaved!  Waiter kept returning to the bar area to talk to other waiters and bussers.  This was in the early afternoon.  The second and last time we visited was in the evening and again, we were told to help ourselves to a table at the Bar.  The only tables open were outside and it was cold.  We asked 3 different servers/bussers to turn the heat lamps on for us.  After 20 minutes, still nothing.  We had to go inside and ask for a waiter to take our order, still no one came.  Finally someone took our drink orders, but  after a long wait, sick and tired of this whole business, we stood up and walked out.  We were a party of 9!  You'd think someone would have noticed.  Nope.  Business as usual:  crap

The waitress was really nice even though I took forever to order my food. She went on her dinner break and was replaced by another waitor. He was nice too. I loved that I could watch the sports highlights on the big screens. My food was really yummy. I was craving shrimp and I had a ... I forgot. But it was a pasta dish and it was good. My belly was happy.

I hate giving reviews like this, but I feel I need to let people know about my experiences at BJ's. My mom really likes this one pizza that they make, so we took her there for her birthday last October (2008). It was basically a disaster. We waited for over 1.5 hours for a table, and then got slow and spotty service. Well, she wanted to go there again this year, so we decided to give it another try. This time, we went a lot earlier (5:30 pm) to avoid the wait, which worked. Unfortunately, that is about the only thing that went right. We ordered and it took a good 25 minutes for the food to come. Only 6 of the 8 of us actually got served. My 7-yr old niece ordered the kid spaghetti, and the brought her the adult sized instead. They set it down in front of her, then took it away. She was very upset, because she was hungry, saw food and had it taken away. One person got no food at all and another person got the wrong sandwich. We asked our server to fix it and she went away to work on it. Meanwhile, those of us with food were watching it get cold. So, we decided to eat, which was weird given that several people had no food. More time went by, and still no food. I got up and spoke with the manager, who promised to fix it and offered drinks to the people waiting. The food-less person took him up on another glass of wine. About 20 minutes later, my niece and the food-less person got served. Still no replacement sandwich, though. The manager came by to apologize again, and said he would wrap the replacement sandwich up to go. Then the check came and our server said that "she had her manager comp us". We looked it over and found out that they charged us for the replacement sandwich, the child' spaghetti and the extra glass of wine. We asked the server to fix it and she came back with it still wrong. I stood up and walked over to the manager and voiced my dissatisfaction at their ruining my mom's birthday dinner and that we wanted to get out of there. At that point, I told him that I thought he should comp our entire meal. He came back to the table with a bill for $30 for the alcohol that we had ordered, including the extra glass of wine he had offered to the food-less person. Sheesh! I laid down $30 at left very annoyed. So, BJ's has had 2 strikes in my book, and they are not going to be up to the plate, so to say, again anytime soon. I recommend spending your money somewhere else!
UPDATE: Turns out the person with the wrong sandwich got sick from it.  Can you give less than one star?!?

I don't normally review chains but ...

When my hole-in-the-walls are closed. When San Francisco is too far away. When the beau and I want "know the menu/know what we're going to get" and a GOOD BEER LIST, we go here. We've started to fall back on BJ's so often, it's kinda grown on us. We kinda heart it.

++ They've got a more than decent beer list - with a whole page of Belgiums. I LOVE their berry cider and Jeremiah Red combination. They compliment each other so well.

++ Solid food! If you don't know what you want to eat, but at least know you want American food, this place is great. My favorites: chili (it's made with beer ... how can you can go wrong?), the Santa Fe salad with shrimp, their burgers, the California chicken sandwich, the steak cut fries, the buffalo wings (fried and drizzled with mild hot sauce), their HUGE baked potatoes (where else can you order a baked potato as a meal?), the fresh tortilla chips and fire roasted salsa, and their hot-outta-the-oven pizookies (deep dish cookie topped with ice cream).

++ The service is always friendly, but sometimes, it's awesome. The other night we tipped almost 25% - I think her name was Jackie - she was so fast, generous, and attentive.

Minuses: Being the only brewery (and the only restaurant open past midnight) in Cupertino, the wait can be awful (45+ min). Parking is a PAIN. I don't like being forced to valet. Also, sometimes, the service can be really slow.

Came in Sunday evening for a dessert and cocktail nightcap.  My boyfriend was invisiting from out of town and he loves microbreweries so I thought to bring him here (and I wanted a pizookie).

Our bartender- can't specifically remember her name may have been Jane- short, dark hair, had a fifties style look almost about her was extremely nice!  In spite that we were only odering drinks and a dessert- very attentive and helpful.

Of course the pizookie was to die for- I recommend a half chocolate chip and half oreo cookie.  The bf enjoyed his beers and I had the pina chhocolada martini- way too sweet for my taste.

For some reason, BJ's strikes a cord with me, sometimes good, sometimes bad.

But this time, it was good.
My BF and I ventured here for my birthday, of course, for the birthday pizookie(as pictured)!!

During lunch you've got business men and women (who need a wake up call from TLC's What Not to Wear... helloooooo!!) littered around the restaurant. Lunch was busy, so I opted for the patio seating, which usually is known for crappy hand-me-down service.

This, surprisingly, wasn't the case. Our waitress tended to our needs accordingly, and of course, gave me that wonderfully glorious, ooey-gooey, warm and of course, cold pizookie. Deeeelish!

3.4 stars, cause the hostesses in the front acted like a bunch of gossiping highschoolers, and because the price for the portion is "Meh..."

We came on a Sunday afternoon with a group of about 30. The place wasn't that busy, and there was plenty of seating, which was an unexpected treat.
I always know what to order when I come to BJ's. You can always count on a good beer selection. The food is always held to a high standard, but it's the service that takes this review down. The food mostly came together, minus about 5 dishes we had to remind them about, and 1 dish that didn't come until 10 minutes later. Luckily that one was comped. We also had to remind them about a missing beer. If they had been better about delivering the first beers we had ordered, we might have ordered more. Too bad for them.

I was in the area with a few friends, so we decided to stop here for a late lunch. This was my first time at this location, but I was able to sell my friends on this place by telling them about the pizookie--chocolate chip cookie dough baked in a personal-size deep-dish pizza pan and topped with vanilla ice cream.

This spot is right next to the Apple campus, and is probably usually crawling with Apple employees, but by the time we got there, business had slowed down and we were able to score an outside table. The menu was several pages long and a little overwhelming, but the three of us decided to split some appetizers: sliders, California Club flatbread pizza, and avocado egg rolls. Since it was warm and sunny out, I opted for the fresh-made pink lemonade, which was great (as was my friend's strawberry lemonade).

The food came out pretty quickly and was really tasty. There were four Angus beef sliders that were yummy enough to make me think about getting a burger here next time, plus the thin cut fries were nice and crispy. The flatbread was topped with grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, mozzarella, tomatoes, and a garlic aioli. And even the avocado egg roll, which I thought I wouldn't like, worked. The creaminess of the avocado encapsulated in a crispy egg roll skin was made even better by the sweet and spicy dipping sauce.

The bad news? No room for the pizookie!

But I'll be back for that pizookie--and maybe a burger and some house-brewed cider.

It's really 3.5 stars, but I'll give BJ's the benefit of the doubt this time.

I'll talk about the good first. The BJ's beers are really solid. I've had the Blonde, the Red, the Nitwit and the Porter and been satisfied with all of them (don't get the Hef unless you like to taste bananas for the rest of the meal). I don't know why people downplay chains; there's something to be said for food that is consistent anywhere you go. I happen to like the pizzas at BJ's (especially the Buffalo Chicken and Great White), so when I'm craving their pizza I'm happy they taste the same no matter which one I go to.

Now on to the bad/bizarre. Like everyone else complained, the parking area is way too small for the size of the restaurant. I don't really understand which retail genius put this setup together, but he clearly expected everyone to be biking or walking over from Apple. I was lucky enough to stalk someone as they left the restaurant and got myself a parking spot without having to valet. The other odd thing was that our waitress told us she was leaving for a food break in the middle of our dinner! Who does that? Why didn't they just not give her another table if she was going to leave? Anyway, the new guy was attentive and nice, so it wasn't a big deal ... just bizarre.

If there was a "0"....you would definitely get it BJ's!  Your establishment absolutely horrendously SUX ASS big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My gripe.  We were hungry.  The hostess informed us at 11:45pm as we walked in that the kitchen stops making dishes except for pizza and appetizers in 15 minutes.

Now a party of 8 small hungry patrons wouldn't be so bad being turned away at 12am!!!!  BUT a party of HUGE overgrown BEASTS with a few asian slivers of beauty mixed in and turned away.?????  Well BJ's...that's asking for a wholotta unnecessary TROUBLE and negative yelpin headed your way!!!!!!

So why the massive disappointment?  Put it this way...they took our order, the waitress punched it in and the manager at 12am comes out to tell us the cooks have taken everything apart and that the waitress should have told us that!!  WTF????????????????  ARE YOU FREAKIN' THAT BOLD THAT YOU, MR. GAZELLE LOOKS LIKE A YUMMY APPETIZER TO THESE HUGE FREAKS RIGHT NOW and you would come tell us this???!!!  Why are you proceeding to inform us after seating us AND taking our order that we can no longer order from the dinner menu??????????  We were well within our time limit as the waitress kept checking her watch to make sure we were still ok..and she told us so...over and over again!!!

Absolutely unprofessional, unimaginable, and unacceptable customer service!!!!  Like a deer...I mean gazelle caught in headlights, the manager (I think it's Mike or Mark...whatever.....loser......) proceeded to backtrack along with his words and tells us he''ll talk to the cooks!  At this time...we knew our orders were destined for demise!!!  Anything brought out of that kitchen at this time would definitely be.....NO BUENO!!!!  In the words of Nacho Libre!  haha...

Wanna hear something even worse than BJ's customer service??  As one of us decides to tell the manager forget it we'll take our business elsewhere...he walks halfway into the kitchen, and watches the manager and the cooks yell and scream at each other about firing back up as the cooks demand they will not do so!!!  He also sees a whole bunch of dirty dishes stacked next to all the food bins and areas where they prepare food!!!!!  OHHHH.....HELLLLLL NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being unprofessional with 8 paying patrons is bad!!!!!!!!  Especially when one of those patrons YELPS!!!  Having dirty dishes next to food being prepared is also BADDDDDDD!!!!!!.......and freakin' downright unhealthy and unsanitary!!!  Having a boss who is told to "JERK OFF" by the cooks...priceless!!!  Grow some COHONES if you want to be able to run this place right!!

BJ's...you got no BJ from me today...or EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everytime I come here, I get more and more disappointed with their food. It doesn't really matter what you order--very often the dishes will come out overcooked, salty, and greasy.

With that said, it's still a pretty decent place to go if you have a large group and don't mind waiting half an hour even with reservations. And if you're looking for a place to hang out late at night for a few beers or some dessert, BJ's is one of the few options available in the area.

What the Pizookie?!

So I went here for the 1st time with Jonathan P. before last week's elite event.  And this place is literally right next to Apple Inc.'s campus in Cupertino.  Like the parking lots are right next to each other and you could walk here vs. choosing to re-park your car if you work at Apple Inc.  But beware, the parking lot here was empty at like 5PM when we came here, but when we left close to 6PM that parking lot was packed and I guess they got a valet parker over here that you might have to use to park your car in their lot.

Can't go wrong with the Happy Hour from 4PM-7PM on draft beer, pizza, appetizers and what not.

And thank you Jon for showing me what's crackin with all those yummy Belgium beers with around a 8%-13% alcohol content...Duvel (The DEVIL), Gulden Draak, Scolis, etc.

Cool flat screens by the bar too.

I work at Apple so I am smart enough not to come to this place during rushing hours. For the few times that I visited here, there was no wait and the service was really good. Mini pizza, hot wings, and pizookie are my family's favorites. BTW: The beer selection is really good as well. One word of caution is to avoid this place during its rush hours (7-9pm). There are always ton of people waiting and I suspect this is where most of the dissatisfaction comes from.

I went here when they opened and didn't like it.  Then I realized later that was because I was on a diet.
Now pregnant, and not watching calories AT ALL, I returned.
I asked our waitress about the cheeseburger pizza, because I wasn't sure if pickles on pizza sounded good only because I was pregnant.  She assured me it was good, so I got it.
Damn.  It was SO good.  I got extra pickles on the side.
The real star of the show is the Pizookie.  Hot cookie (http://choc.chip, peanut butter, chocolate chocolate chip, white chocolate mac. nut, or oreo) with vanilla icecream on top.  Whoever thought of this is GENIUS.
Very busy during rush times, but now I see why!

Came here on a Wednesday night with a friend for a late evening snack.
They were still crowded that evening. I had ordered the CHICKEN WINGS and my friend ordered the CHICKEN FETTUCCINI ALFREDO.

The chicken wings are NOT boneless and can be ordered with the sauce on the side. I prefer my wings this way as since I can add the as much sauce as I'd like. You get about a pound of wings. The chicken alfredo was pretty good too but nothing out of the unordinary.

I've been trying to get into the San Bruno/Tanforan one for months now (when we were at the mall) and it is always crowded.

Now I know why.

We had two beers there, the Nit Wit beer and the Lefe Blonde on tap--both excellent with really nice service.

This Cupertino location was also the venue for a friend's baby's first birthday party. They'd rented out the side room and BJ's really served us well: many kinds of deep dish pizza with great crusts, southwest style chicken salad with generous amounts of sliced chicken breast, ribs, broiled moist chicken, moist and flavorful salmon, and very good service.

Well done BJ's!

I had a wedding after-party here on 6/27/09. For about 50 people. I want to give the store managers credit for the great job!

-our food came out fast and our guests enjoyed it (lots of deep dish pizzas, pasta, salad, etc)
-they were quick to accomadate the families who wanted other food (mac and cheese) for their small children
-we let our guests know about the valet parking (free) so it wasn't a problem

I've always liked the atmosphere at BJ's, it just seemed fun for a party (and this one has a banquet room). I gave 4 stars because the food is good, but maybe not outstanding.  It's what you expect from a big chain, and they do it well.  Overall, our party went off without a hitch.

Not a big fan of the forced valet parking, but I suppose they have a small parking lot. The food's generally good, though my friends and I mostly go here for the Pizookies. Very very tasty. Darned good stuff.

Good food, but a serious bitch to park at!  We got stymied in the parking lot twice before successfully getting a parking spot at 10pm on a Sunday night.  I'd definitely hang out here more if parking weren't such a headache but maybe I don't know the deal as an out of towner.

Food hit the spot though.  The Together At Last appetizer was good (bruschetta more than the artichoke dip), California Club Flatbread Pizza was awesome, and the Pizookie totally hit the spot.  I'm all about the triple choc one.  oh yeah.

I've always enjoyed all the food I've had here. Never had anything that I was dissapointed with. The cookie dessert is fantastic.

I'm not a fan of the handcrafted beer though.

Parking is the biggest problem at this location. I'm not a fan of having to valet my car at a place like this. I'm not in SF.

Longest....wait....EVEEERRRR.

I wasn't sure if it was worth waiting. But then again, it was slightly our group's fault because we were indecisive. And it didn't help that we came on a Friday night. So I guess, shame on us.

Once seated, we started off with appetizers. Besides the famous Spinach Artichoke dip, I would strongly suggest the Avocado Egg rolls. Trust me, you've never had egg rolls until you've tried these. Plus, the tamarind sauce that comes with it...OH GOD. Get ready to drool.

If you have trouble choosing a pizza, I'd go with the BJ's favorite. It comes in clutch, especially  when that "everything looks good" mentality shakes up your decision-making.

And of course, if you're a newb to BJ's (like one of my friends that night) you've gotta order the famous Pizookie. Seriously, Gwen Stefani doesn't know what a sweet escape is until she's tried this.

Overall, BJ's delivers; if not with its food or alcohol then most likely with its service. The one thing I don't like about this BJ's is its parking. It's horrendous. But aside from that, it's quite alright.

Great selection of bottled and draft beers. If you're into belgian style brews with your food, this is the place to go. TV's are everywhere. Service is hit or miss especially when it's so busy.

My favorite beer there is the seasonal NitWit Beer. In between a blue moon and a hef. You don't get as strong of a banana/clove aroma from this wheat beer.

They had this flat bread pizza that was pretty good.

The chili cheese burger is a big mess but SO good.

Price:  FYI, this review is mainly based off happy hour and just to be fair, I've never been here for lunch.  Happy hour is from 4-7 M-F, but I don't consider it so much of a happy hour based off the fact the price is nearly the same, only $1-2 off depending on draft beer or appetizer.  If you are looking for value for the buck, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

Service:  For some reason, everytime I've been to BJ's, not only this location, but also the other ones, I neve recall ever getting prompt service.  My memory of this place is associated with waiting, waiting to be seated, waiting for my order to be taken, waiting for my food, waiting for my check.  Maybe that's why I always remember taking so much time here and can consider it a chill place, or maybe you have to be a chill person to remain patient with this place.  The service I've received has always been decent though, don't recall of any terrible ones.

Taste:  It all depends on what you order, but the appetizer menu isn't too bad.  BJs is well known for their beer, since they are a brewery, and also for their pizzas.  Their pizzas are okay, but not so filling.  I'm not the pizza expert, so I won't go on too much about rating their pizzas.  Let's just say I was more satisfied with a takeout pizza place.  One thing I enjoyed was their Santa Fe Spring Rolls, but its like $10 for one appetizer.  Pizookies are pretty well known her (Cookie-icecream dessert).  It's good, but has a very rich/sweet taste (which can differ based on the flavor).

Atmosphere:  When I went for happy hour on a Wednesday, I was disappointed to see so many people looking sad, at a HAPPY HOUR.  Their happy hour does not compare to other happy hour hours I've tried (I think Chevy's still has the best happy hour).  Saving $1-2 for something that is just decent, isn't too appealing to me.  Plus the wait doesn't appear to be worth it as it does get packed for "happy hour."  Parking is pretty terrible, but if it's early enough, you can manage to find something.  You can do valet, but I don't think this is a restaurant worth doing Valet (go across the street to Outback instead).  I guess one thing good about this place is that it can accomodate large parties, but that just means you have to wait longer for everything.

What You'll Remember:  Patience is a virtue.  You'll need it.

Comment:  Nothing too special.  For a HH (happy hour), I'm not impressed.  Just another one of your average "American" restaurant.  Probably a place you'll end up trying at least once in your life.

Cheers,
T-Chung

BJ's is by far my favorite chain restaurant ever. Besides having excellent original beer and a fantastic selection, their food is amazing.

I always get the avocado eggrolls with its amazing sauce and the spinach and artichoke dip pizza. The prices, especially for other breweries in the area, are not bad. The Jeremiah Red and Pirahna Pale are both excellent beers.

Another plus is there wide array of TVs for watching the game. You can usually have a great view from any place you sit.

Their Happy Hour is fantastic too. I believe it's from 3-7 M-F and then there is reverse happy hour as well Su-Th. 1/2 off mini pizzas (their pizza is excellent) and cheaper beer as well in the bar area.
