Just a brutal course, especially the first time you play. You need to play target golf here and really think your way around the course. It's in pretty good shape right now.
Be sure and bring plenty of balls!

This review deserves 10 stars, just for the fact that the head pro, John Kiriakopoulos, has the patience of a saint. It was the best lesson I have ever had. We worked on my swing and corrected my stance; I left with feeling that I could make it through the whole course with one ball. In all honesty, I know that is not going to happen, but I will have fun trying. In addition my middle schooler takes lessons from him and he has become wonderful.

Very hard.
We call it just plain "Bitter."
This course isn't very friendly in terms of forgiveness that's for sure. It plays pretty challenging with swamp-like areas and multiple sandtraps. I really enjoyed playing here, the only downfall would be the drive from Chicago to Gurnee. Once you're here though, it's great. You'll enjoy the clubhouse staff and houses come in to play on multiple fairways. Caution that if you hit one (like a member of my group did), they will come out of the house and run after you!
