They were out of two of the three things I wanted to order. Very limited vegetarian options. The feta cheese was good, but I think it's kinda hard to go wrong with melted cheese.
Overall meh. I will probably give them another try.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert H.North Beach, San Francisco, CA07Sep 3, 2022
This is a great reopening for a great restaurant. The servers are all friendly and knowledgeable.
However, the chef uses TOO MUCH SPICE in many dishes.
Just listen to the advice of your server, then enjoy an excellent dinner!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jim H.Billings, MT6260111Feb 25, 2019Updated review
Tonight's dinner rundown: Arrived a few minutes past our reservation. Wasn't an issue, as they were fairly slow. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server quickly. Kayce, our server, was attentive throughout our meal. (= Great)
We ordered: Dragon Tenders (= Good - On the dry side), Garden Salad With Ranch (= Great - Delicious Ranch), 16oz Prime Rib split plate (= Good - Cooked correctly, but tough & lacking flavor - Au jus added nothing - Horseradish was tasty), Parmesan Risotto (= Great), Mashed Potato (= Good), Green Beans (= Great) & Chicken Fingers (= Great) & Fries (= Awesome - Reminded me of Bouchon's fries), for our little guy
Final Score: Poor 0 - Average 0 - Good 3 - Great 5 - Awesome 1

Poly Drive Pasta, Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp and Scallops, Lasagna, and the Pork Shank with Risotto....ALL amazing.
Don't forget the creme brûlée...

I don't understand the bad reviews Bistecca has on Yelp. I have been coming here for close to 7 years & the food & service has been consistently good.
Yesterday it was our Anniversary & my daughter suggested we place a dinner order & Jake's Bar & Grill since our grandchildren are not vaccinated we think is not smart to take a 2 year old & a 6 year old out to dinner indoors with the delta Covid19 spreading according to the CDC.
Well the attempt @ ordering @ Jake's didn't go well. Both the west end & downtown Jakes sounded offended that we called for take out food. Especially female answering phone @ west end location. She was obnoxious.
I called Bistecca & both the person answering the phone & person taking order were pleasant, respectful & professional. The food was excellent. Especially the prime rib was a very generous size & very tender. My daughter loved the King Crab legs & mussels in wine broth.
Thank you Bistecca for a very nice Anniversary dinner.
It was appreciated!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - K H.Incline Village, NV02May 1, 2021
Was here last weekend. It's our favorite place when in Billings. Has the filet and it was cooked to perfection.

Update 6/29/20: The owner decided to grace me with his response a month later telling me that I must've been looking for a cheap drunk. Apparently he doesn't have the stomach to call me like I requested. My point was, sir, that you are much more expensive than even the most expensive restaurants in Billings. The fact that we were ordering Patron and Macallan should show you that we weren't looking for a cheap drunk. Your food was a joke. Your drinks tasted like trash. Your response shows how little you care for your patrons. Keep thinking you are better and more special than anybody else in this town and I'm guessing you will have to change the name of your restaurant again.

This place has gone downhill since the new management. We used to eat / drink here weekly. We just live down the street. Now we drive out of the way to get good food and service . Very sad.

Today at Bistecca we held an committee meeting on their patio. We all ordered water, beer, wine, etc, as well as off their lunch menu. A few had sandwiches and others had salads. We all arrived at different times, moved around a bit and generally made it hard to wait on us. Ashley was our waitress and she handled this crowd with grace. Shout out to Ashley.
The patio here is nice. Good heaters for the cool summer nights, a little sun for sun lovers and a little shade for those who aren't. Make sure to enjoy a cool sip on the patio this summer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 25, 2012Previous reviewUpdate: Continue to love the patio, the shrimp/chicken nachos probably the best my husband and I have experienced, but the service needs some help. I'm slightly impatient, those who know me are laughing, and I don't need immediate service, BUT I at least need to be acknowledged by the staff. It doesn't need to be the waiter, it can be the busboy, cocktail staff, anyone, just eye contact and a nod of the head to let me know you know I am there. The prices are slightly higher, so for that I expect slightly better service.
Jul 18, 2011Previous reviewWith the hot summer, we love a great outdoor patio. The Granary offers a nice atmosphere, good summer food and great drinks. They have a large drink menu, (although I like a wheat beer) they have a full appetizer menu as well as very nice dinner selection. We have tried their Shrimp/Chichen Nachos, very yummy as well as their quesadilla. They are also open for the lunch crowd and the ceaser salad is pretty good too!

Always loved the Granary and was sad to see all the poor reviews recently. We decided to give it a shot anyways and I'm glad we did.
Drinks were delicious, always great to find a martini with blue cheese stuffed olives on the menu. My friend's shrimp and chicken nachos were by far the best I've ever had! My steak was cooked perfectly and had zero fat with great flavor.
Naomi provided excellent service; overall, a great dinner. I look forward to returning!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
