This continues to be one of the best restaurants in Milford.  Food is very good, atmosphere is great, nice bar, generous portions, generous drinks.  Creative menu with a wide selection of food styles.  The restaurant is listed here as Spanish/Basque - but many of the dishes lean towards Italian.  The $32 Prix Fixe menu is a good value.

I think every time I have been there I have had the Chicken Valdostana - boneless breasts over spinach with a nice tangy sauce.  Last night was no exception - it is excellent.  Other dishes at table were the Chicken with Gorgonzola, and Veal Scaloppini.  All were excellent.

Service was pretty bad last night - very slow.  (We even had to ask for a cork screw to open our bottle of wine.)  It was busy, and we had a good time, so we didn't let it get to us.  But it was slow enough that we noticed and talked about it.

Still a highly recommended place for a great meal and a good time.

My volunteer group has gone here twice for our Holiday Party and everyone love the Prix Fixe menu. A few members each ordered different items and then shared them so that they could try everything. It is hard to pick one of each thing to have, so it was great to be able to share and sample!
Everything I have eaten there has been superb!

Pleasant surprise for a location in a strip mall that most would pass right by.  They had reasonably priced 4 course diners, attentive servers, and tasty desserts as well.  This is a hit for sure and likely one of a very few quality options in the area.  When we arrived we were nervous as the parking lot was empty but by time we left every table was filled, good sign for sure!

The food and atmosphere were excellent!  They were able to squeeze us in when we visited last, cute table in the bar (the live music was really good and not too loud).  If any complaint, the portions are too big!  I'm all for value, but food that's that good and rich you don't need a lot of.  Otherwise, very good!

After reading all the reviews on here, we were really excited to try this place out. But we were both disappointed.

The service was okay, but the food left something to be desired. It wasn't awful; it just didn't warrant such high prices. I want my taste buds to be wowed when I pay $100 for a meal (two entrees, one appetizer). I wasn't particularly displeased, but I left feeling sure that I'd never return. "Meh" says it perfectly.

Didn't read Vacca P's review, but wound up there last night and ordered the Fixe Prix Pasta Bolognese.

I agree wholeheartedly...it was SENSATIONAL. Not the usual heavy deep red PLOP of thick of ground meat you usually get , but a delicate, BALANCED sauce that was hearty (we were FULL...) but somehow light. Lighter in color, lighter in intent than any Bolognese I've had and for me.. The Bolognese MAKES an Italian restaurant, if only for one reason, which is if you're are going to put it on your menu, it really has to be extraordinary since there are SO many examples, its a standard, like marinara or Caprese.

I complimented the owner on the way out, because it was far and away the best bolognese I've had, here stateside, California to New York or in Europe, even in Tuscany or,...gee, Bologna.

For the person who said the starter, the Amuse Bouche, was a throwaway, i must remark, I dunno what YOU had, (assuming it changes from chef whim to chef whim) my throwaway was sensational. It was a single stuffed grape leaf, but unlike typical Greek diner stuffed grape leaves, floating in Grade D Olive and Motor oil, this was served dry. It was rice, yes, but wrapped in pancetta, and it SANG!!! mi, mi, mi, mi.

It set up the mushroom caps stuffed with sweet sage sausage, maybe a touch over cooked, but yummy.

The prix Fixe is a HUGE buy. if you find yourself in the neighborhood at dinner time and haven't eaten in a while, it'll do the job, deliciously! You'll be full and HAPPY!

Excellent quality and excellent service!!! A++ We ordered from the Pre Fix Menu, which was $32 per person- not a bad deal considering we each got an appetizer (Caprese salad), regular house salad, Entree (gnocchi primavera), and dessert (fresh berries with mascarpone). Everything was phenomenal!!! I cannot wait to go back! My husband had the filet mignon ($5 extra) and said it's the best he's had.

7:15 reservation on Thursday night. Service was crazy slow even though it wasn't packed. Food ran so late we got a free glass of wine. When entree got out it was so salty I had to send it back. Then the chocolate cake came out still frozen in the middle. Some good things here too, yet too rough around the edges to be considered great dining -- especially for the cost.

My husband, myself and another couple visited Bin 100 this past Saturday night.

Reservations were not a problem and the hostess was very friendly although we were ~10 minutes late, we were still able to head to our table right away.
Easy to find, good parking, trendy modern decor.
Menu had MANY choices including a great value prix fixe option - on a Saturday night four courses for just $28.  Each of us ordered from this menu as the course options were wonderful.

Amuse Bouche Course One:  Watermelon Gazpatcho Shooters for all.  Nice taste, delicious finish, cute start.

Appetizer Course Two:  Caprese Salad - perfect portion, good mozzarella and oil, not the best tomatoes.  Fried Calamari - my husband is a calamari connoisseur and he loved this.  Arugala Salad - REALLY good with walnuts and a nice lemon dressing.  Broccoli Rabe - adequate but sausage was terrible.  Time to upgrade to LMS!

Entree Course Three:  Pappardelle Bolognese - Israel found this to be the 2nd best bolognese he'd ever had.  Grilled Filet Mignon - small but well prepared.  Tilapia Florentine - very good, sauce was delicious, light and fresh, spinach was fresh, not canned.  Can't remember Christine's entree?

Dessert Course Four:  Fabulous - every dessert was five star - the choices were very unique and each well delicious and wonderfully presented.  We had Churros, Apple Crisp, Berries with Zabagliogne and Tres Leches.  Accompanying cappucino and espresso hot and strong...like our dates!

I would recommend the restaurant on the food alone - the low cost is just an added bonus.

    Our only complaints...
Our server Paolo was expedient and accurate but as we enjoyed our coffee and dessert harassed us three times for the check in five minutes.  Live music was one guy on a keyboard...I know times are tough but don't settle for that as your entertainment.

Extensive, reasonable wine list.  We ordered an 08 David Bruce Pinot Noir for $58, it was very good.  Boys had beer - good and cold with chilled glasses.

My girlfriends and I were enjoying a "Girls Getaway" and found a nice hotel off 95 in Milford, which was just 10 minutes down the road from New Haven, where everyone was at school and work.
After settling in the hotel, we were out in search of dinner, and given it was 8:45 and in a strange town, our options were slipping away quickly.
Thanks to Yelp Mobile, (the best mobile app ever) we were directed quickly to Bin 100, which was conveniently 8 minutes away, and open until 10 pm. We zipped right over.
We waited to be seated, which was probably the only down side of the night. But, it was late, and we are all in the service industry, and it seemed like they just sent the host home for the night. No biggie.
We were seated, and greeted, and once looking through the menu, we all quickly settled on items from the pre-fixe menu. For $29, you were given an amuse-bouche, starter, entree and dessert. The amuse-bouche was a deliciously fresh tuna tartar in cucumber carpaccio. There must have been at least 8-10 choices for both the starter and entree selections, and the decisions were tough to make. Between the three of us, some of the highlights of the night included:

White Bean and Kale soup - for my vegetarian friend, she was thrilled that this soup was NOT made with chicken stock.

Chorizo Stuffed Mushrooms - perfect button mushrooms, stuffed but still tender and flavorful.

Veal with Pesto Pappardelle - homemade pasta cooked al dente with tender veal

Filet Mignon - the glazed carrots and root vegetable puree was AWESOME and my med-rare filet came out a little more on the rare side, which for me is totally fine, always better a little under-done than over done.

Bread Pudding with Caramel Rum Sauce - So hot that I was able to make it last more than 5 minutes : )

For three hungry girls, we left totally happy, especially at $50 each, including the tip.
Bin 100 is a GREAT spot for a date, a birthday dinner, or a girl night out, whether you are just passing through the area, or you find yourself wanting to go outside of New Haven.

I've been to Bin 100 about 4 or 5 times, and I've had a good experience every time. I'd say it usually hovers somewhere between 4 and 4.5 stars. Most of the food has been excellent. Yes, I've had a couple things that weren't amazing, but even those were still pretty good.

    Service has always been fantastic.

It's not flawless, but it's still a restaurant I always look forward going to. If you haven't been, it's definitely worth it.

ok so I just spent my other $20 certificate and to make sure it wasn't a fluke last time- it was still just as good as last time! The waiter- Maurice- was awesome. The food was just as good, I had the same app and entree but I tasted my BF's meal- the Gorgonzola Chicken and it was really good. I had the tres leches cake (which replaced the cheesecake lollipops- prob after they read Jon's review!) and it was melt in your mouth amazing- they topped it with caramelized bananas.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great service and an overall great meal.

Very disappointed because I wanted to like this place. I ordered a Mojito but was toldthey ran out of Bacardi? This is 8PM on a Friday night (R U kidding me) I ordered the appatizer Angus meatball with riggatta cheese sauce. My meatball app was cold in the middle! They comped my beer because of this, which was nice. Excellent bread is a plus. Too many other places to try to give a 2nd chance anytime soon...... I really hope this place thrives, because I have a new favorite restaurant in CT.  My in-laws took me here because they know I'm a foodie, and I was really blown away by the quality of this place.  More people need to know about it, because it's the type of place that the Milford/Stratford area was really missing for a while.

They have a fairly large wine cellar and a a knowledgeable sommelier on staff.

For dinner, my wife had the beef duo, the inlaws had the pork loin, and I had the roasted duck with wine reduction.

The roast duck was wonderfully prepared to my liking - nice and medium rare.  Two cuts were served - medallions and the thigh.  The thigh was served on a bed of mashed potatoes with big chunks of applewood-smoked bacon in it.  Duck is something that is so average when not handled by someone that knows how to prepare it and just spectacularly good when prepared right.  This was spectacularly good.

The pork loin looked perfectly prepared, and I snuck a few bites of the Beef medallions.  They were really great, and my wife cleaned the plate.

Dessert was even better.  Go for the Tres Leches - it was by far the best, and just killer.  The churros are awesome too.

The chef is clearly classically trained - just a really fantastic meal.

Thank you, Bin 100 for a wonderful meal!

This is sort of a hole in the wall - you might miss it, being that it's in a small shopping center awkwardly placed on the post road. We went here upon the suggestion of a friend and fell in love with the place. The prix five menu is perfect - although it seems it went up in price since the last time we have been there. The atmosphere is great - while we were eating there was a private party of about 50 on the other side but you could barely hear them. My salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad was delightful. The prix five gives you a good sample of different foods which is a good cleanse to the palate. You must eat here!!!

Impressive.  Decor - modern, tasteful.  Staff - knowledgeable and friendly. Food - Roasted lamb shank with bean cassoulet was very tender and juicy.  Roasted pork tenderloin over parsnip purée was moist, well seasoned and presented nicely.  Only sour note was the tres leches cake -  dry, overly sweet.  Planning more visits.

I've been to Bin 100 twice now. Once for a graduation party and the second time for a quick drink and tapas.  Tapas were served at the party in the bar area, (which had been reserved for the event), all of which were very good.  We had cheese croquettes w/a dipping sauce that was delish, baba ghanoush platter (yum!), meatballs, chorizo sliders, stuffed mushrooms, fresh fruit skewers and a cheese platter. All fresh and all top notch.  Having sampled several tapas items, I decided to bring a friend back here for a quick drink and light meal. We sat in the bar and ordered the empanadas and codfish croquettes. Here's where the 3 stars comes into play. While all tapas at the party were fantastic, each of these were just 'eh.  The empanadas were served with a salsa on the side and definitely needed it for the extra flavor and the codfish croquettes were a bit dry without their accompanying sauce.    Another friend of mine has been here for a 10 yr anniversary dinner with his wife and testified that everything throughout their meal was to die for.  I will absolutely be back for dinner and or drinks/tapas. The decor is very trendy and relaxing.  They offer a 4-course prix fixe menu during the week for just under $26 and there are many selections to choose from, all of which look delicious.
AMENDED-I've been back here twice now for dinner, both times off of the pri fixe menu and that can't be beat.  Great selection, consistently delicious, very friendly staff and when I asked our waiter for a bottle of wine, which they did not have, he was quick to offer a replacement for a comparable price.  I can't say enough great things about this place.

I am a foodie, and ran some very good, well known places.  This is a good place to go.  I went on a very busy last minute Saturday night and they got us in.  The bar and decor are very cool and not overstated.  Great banquette seating in the dining room.  Very good drinks and bar.  The food was very, very good all around.  Desert also.  Our service this night was slow, admitted the waiter, but that is something that can happen anywhere.  We will be back again.  Also, I want to plug Maurice, and excellent waiter that I have worked with in the past and was surprised to see after a long time!

A must go in the Milford/Stratford area for a experience rivaling some of the very good New Haven/Stamford/Greenwich competitors, without the hassle.

There isn'tanother restaurant in the State of CT that will pay as much attention to you as Bin 100.  A very warm and attentive staff make this restaurant worthy of spending money and time in... and then there is the food...

I LOVE the food at B100.  The entree's make it all work - while some of the app's are just good, many are excellent and unparralled elsewhere.  My favorite app is the musselsl with coconut sauce.. devine.  A steak dish - with grilled potatoes is also excellent... just like all the others.

I've spent a lot of time in this place and always enjoyed the experience.  Perhaps I love the fact that it's got great drinks, fantastic food, and is close to my house, but my oh my... it's hard to find all of these things in one restaurant... and Bin100 has done it.

    Can't wait to go back.

Our family was in town for one night and found this restaurant by checking this website. We had a wonderful evening. From the gentleman who seated us to the last crumb of our churros and tres leches dessert, the experience was great. Nice antipasto and caesar salad to start. Pasta Bolognese was fabulous, scallops, filet and chicken dish w/ proscuitto, fontina and spinach were all so good. Nice wine list. The staff is very professional. I would think this place would be packed, but it was not. We were there on a Thursday night.  Milford, CT is lucky to have a restaurant like this!  Check it out. Would definitely return if in the area.

Probably the best restaurant in Milford.

I have been going to this place since soon after it opened and I have never been disappointed.  The service is always excellent with knowledgeable wait staff and fast service.  Despite the fast service, you can tell the food is always prepared fresh.

They always have delicious specials that are definitely worth checking out (not that the normal menu isn't great!), and special events all the time (make sure to sign up for their newsletter).

Overall, excellent food, good prices, and a great staff make this a place to return to time and time again.

I recently went to BIN 100 because I was enticed by the idea of Spanish/Italian food.  Also I felt like dressing up a bit (no tuxes and ball gowns of course, I would just skip out on sneakers is all), which you should probably do.

Let's get started about what I LIKED:

    1. Service--the waiter was attentive, kind, charming, and funny.  Anytime I needed something someone was right there.  And he was also very willing to answer any questions I had about the food and was very knowledgeable.  They also managed to butt out when we wanted to converse and not be bugged.

    2. Appetizers.  Tuna Tartare, yes overdone, but still quite tasty.  The best app I had though was the Crab cake and aoili.  WOW, that crabcake made the whole trip worthwhile.

    3. Dessert.  It was my mother's b-day and they gave us free dessert champagne.  How nice is that?  The berries and sabayon was fantastic, as were the churros.

Definitely, I would go back to this restaurant for appetizers and dessert, but as for the main courses, that brings me to the list of things I DIDN'T LIKE:

    1. The Mains.  I had the gnocchi, the rest of the fam had tuna nicoise and the paella.  The gnocchi was overly doughy and bland and when it got to me it was on the cooler side of warm.  The nicoise was o-kay, but nothing to justify it's price and the paella - well, the chicken was dry, and I also wish that the rice had been crispy on the bottom, and the flavor was okay, but again, nothing to write home about or even to justify the price.

    2. The price.  I would gladly pay for the dessert and apps, but the mains definitely need work.  Definitely, definitely overpriced for what they served up.

    JUST OKAY:

    1. The decor - very IKEA.  And I like IKEA, but it sort of makes you feel cheap, faux fancy if you will.  On the upside though, the bathrooms are very nice and the arrangement of the furniture is comfortable.

In the end, I'm giving this place only three stars because I believe the Mains need some help.  If the prices were lower it would get a four.

Would I return?  Maybe just for the dessert (and the crabcake).

I stopped in unexpectedly one night and sat in the bar area.  Its an upscale setting where a number of folks are eating or snacking.  Good wine list- small, reasonable- got a Bordeaux Superior at around 30$.

Anyway, the food was really amazing- A flatiron steak was nearly perfect!  The staff was a little inexperienced- but nice.  Try it here- really good.

I went here this past weekend (2/20) with my girlfriend after seeing "Shutter Island".  The food is really good, and our waiter (Chris K) was very good.  I had the spicy shrimp appetizer and the scallop dinner.  Both were cooked perfectly and had nice flavor.   Bin 100 has a decent selection of beers, but nothing extraordinary.  They do have one out of the ordinary beer, Anchor Brewing's Liberty Ale out of San Francisco, which was pretty tasty.  All in all, this is a nice place to go if you're looking for something a little different.

Went for dinner last night, Monday, with a friend. Do not like to go on Mondays because I think the second team is cooking. Looks like I was right. Had fried calamari as a starter. Excellent with a different and very tasty dipping sauce. My friend had Chicken Milanese which he said was "quite overdone and not too tasty". I had Gorgonzola Chicken with a Gorgonzola sauce which turned out to be a brown sauce with a few, and I mean very few, bits of gorgonzola cheese. Not too happy!!

Currently one of the best restaurants in town. Consistently good food and casual, comfortable atmosphere.

We have dined at Bin 100 twice for dinner and once at a late-ish lunch. The food and service have been consistently great. Wonderful crisp calamari appetizer, not hidden in a thick blanket for breadcrumbs; lovely mezze with exquisitely smokey baba ganouj and hummus, the sweetest trout I have had in years, a whole barramundi so delicious we picked little bits off the bones, and a nice wine list. The sommelier was our waiter the last occasion we dined at Bin 100; he was knowledgeable and helpful. This is our favorite restaurant in Milford, by far.

I dined here on Saturday night with my husband and was less than impressed.  We had to wait almost 20 minutes past our reservation time, granted it was busy, but I would have much rather came later and not had to wait.  The food was actually very good and offered a variety of choices that are not typically found in the Milford area.  The service was another story.  For the prices, we expected exceptional service.  Something was off with our waiter all night.  From the fact that he didn't pour my husband's wine from the carafe to his glass or that he didn't bring lemon or cream with my tea, it was not a good experience.  We will def. think twice before dining here again.
