This continues to be one of my favorite brunch places. Especially since I live in Willow Glen, it's also convenient. They have excellent service here and the wait for a table isn't terribly long and quite bearable since they provide coffee and tea for the people waiting.

I've had a lot of different items on their menu and so far everything I've had has been delicious. Things don't feel too heavily oily and the food always tastes fresh.

I prefer the Willow Glen location versus the one in the Rose Garden area.

Be prepared for a wait on Saturday and Sunday brunch. Also, be prepared for the tequila shots that they offer you sometimes.....they can be quite deadly.

I had a ritual last spring - summer.  Sunday morning run on the creek trail with friends, followed by breakfast at Bill's.  It really went kinda perfectly, H and I would finish about 15-30 minutes after J (ha, that's alphatbetically poetic) and he would go to Bill's early to get the on the list and we'd be seated soon after we arrived.  Just in time for me to score some free coffee.

The coffee out front here and other breakfast joints... brilliant.  I can have my coffee and order juice with breakfast.

It's a solid, filling breakfast with just about anything you order.  And it's breakfast, you can't mess it up.  Well you can, but you'd have to have Ph.D. in incompetence to do that.

I never found a signature dish though.  Like blueberry pineapple pancakes, or heuvos rancheros on a biscuit or on a deep fried flour tortilla, or chilaquiles with a 96oz Tecate, or the perfect omelette.  I hold breakfast in high regard.

I ordered the meat lovers' omelette, and it was pretty dry -- the egg was a little overcooked, the bacon pan-fried to jerky status, and the pork sausage didn't add much in the way of moisture. The hash browns were pretty good, but you'd really deserve a stern talking-to if you messed that up.

For a place with this many rave reviews, I was expecting something a little better than just your garden variety diner. Perhaps I didn't order the right thing, but a quick poll of the rest of the table (5 in all) revealed little in the way of enthusiasm over their meals. It probably didn't help that our lunch conversation topic somehow ended up on "best meals we've ever had", either, ha!

Thankfully, the restaurant staff were extremely attentive and friendly, so a good time was still had by all. Choosing between Bill's and Flames (our old standby) for brunch is going to be a difficult proposition -- better food at Flames, but *easily* better service here.

I think there were some flies that were having a group lunch of their own because I must've counted four of them hanging out on the mirror behind our table, and they looked like they were having a right old time. Who would've guessed that flies were such social creatures!

My friend and I came here on Black Friday and it was packed. Lucky we were only 15 minutes away so we called ahead of time to let them know we were coming. Table for two, please.

We were greeted by a hostess that seemed like she'd rather be at the malls shopping for stellar deals rather than at this joint. I don't blame her. Who wants to work on Black Friday anyway?

We waited for 5-10 minutes and then got seated. I wanted the all-American type of breakfast . . . you know . . . eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc, BUT my friend convinced me to get the smoked salmon benedict. He got the crab cakes benedict. I'm glad he manipulated me . . . I mean . . . convinced me to change my mind because it was delicious! Portions were large too. Yum!

This might be my favorite breakfast/brunch spot in the South Bay.

GOOD mimosa's, great value, Big portions =)
The wait is always long, but calling ahead for a reservation sometimes helps. I've been here twice and it gets crowded, but always filled with fun people. Service is attentive and food is good! The Eggs Benedict is pretty good and so are the Omelets. I would return here in the future with a group of friends on the weekend so we can enjoy a good brunch!

I have been to Bill's about 6 times for breakfast and twice for lunch. I haven't been disappointed any of these times. This is my favorite spot for brunch and my friends love it too. During July 4th or mayor holidays this place gets packed. They have chair outside for you to wait. A nice brunch with mimosas is the best way to start your day.

The waitress are extremely friendly and the manager is amazing! Kudos for them!

Eaters Beware!  If you are to the point of extreme hunger, don't come here. This place is very popular and you will struggle your way through a crowd to get your name down to eat here. This review is really 3.5 stars, but I'm not willing to give the full 4 stars. With that said, the food is better that you would expect from a breakfast joint, but not spectacular.

The Service:

This joint is so popular because it is in the willow glen area, which tends to busy and any food restaurant you visit is bound to be busy. So on with my review...WATCH OUT FOR THE HOSTESS!!! Our wait time was said to be 45 minutes. An hour and a half later we were sat. BUT that wasn't what made me upset. What set me off was the MANAGER on duty (which happened to be the husband of the owner's daughter) let two parties cut in front of the long list of people because he knew them!!!! Also, people who left and admitted they left to find a different restaurant but were already on the list and called, came back and were seated before us. It was only when I confronted the hostess about all this (I was standing upfront the whole time and heard the shenanigans) that we got sat right away. The waitress was VERY nice and attentive, even though the place was jam packed. It was only the hostess and Manager on duty we had an issue with.

The Food:

The country potatoes (not the hashbrowns) were pretty good. The omlettes were pretty big, but not all that great. The best part of the meal was the country potatoes. The house Mimosa was DISGUSTING!! It looks delicious, but looks can be deceiving. Mine was sour and bitter. My hunny got the Irish cream coffee, it was more disgusting than the mimosa. What a waste of $12.

Overall:

I will not be coming back to this place. I hate restaurants that favor other patrons just because they know the party (especially when there is a long wait and the restaurant is at full capacity). My hunny's uncle is a general manager at a popular restaurant and when we come to visit we wait like the other customers do. The food is not worth the experience / frustration.

Great place with great wait-staff. The options are great and I can pretty much say that you can eat every single item on the menu unless you are allergic to something.

The location and the crowd gives you a feel that is a local's favorite. It is my favorite also now.

Summary: Their Buckwheat pancakes are NOT gluten free!

I have to say straight up that we didn't actually eat here so my review is based on customer experience and the vibe that I got from the place only.

I'm a gluten intolerant pancake lover. After searching on yelp I found Bill's had Buckwheat pancakes. We called ahead to see if the Buckwheat pancakes were made of 100% buckwheat flour (which means I can eat them). The guy on the phone was really nice and really helpful (Jimmy). He checked with one of the kitchen staff who told him that the pancakes were 100% buckwheat flour.  Yay, so we headed down there. The place was packed and everyone looked to be enjoying themselves so the atmosphere was pretty good.

Anyway, when the waitress came over to us and asked if we were ready to order, we mentioned that we'd called ahead and asked about the buckwheat pancake mix. She was very nice too and brought the packet out so we could see the ingredients. We were upset to see at the top of the ingredients list was wheat flour. So that was it, no pancakes  :(

The rest of their menu looked pretty good if you're into that sort of thing (omelettes, eggs Benedict etc). The plates being served looked on the larger-less gourmet side but still of pretty good quality

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new breakfast place to try. After being disappointed by places we'd been to already that we found on Yelp, we decided to try Bill's.

We arrive a little later than we usually like to for breakfast. We had to wait around half an hour for a table outside. The place was P A C K E D.

After we were seated on the patio the waiter came over and before we could even order coffee, he offered us a complimentary mimosas or shots of tequila. We looked at each other and with devilish smiles ordered mimosas. Talk about yummy. I ordered the Poached y Papas which is the ULTIMATE fat kid eggs benedict - instead of a toasted english muffin and canadian bacon, the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was sitting on top of a potato skin complete with bacon, cheese, and sour cream.  They are also known for their bread pudding french toast which I haven't been brave enough to try yet.  I've had other breakfast foods here and all have been good!  Their omelettes are HUGE too!

The service here is fantastic!  Your drinks will never go empty and sometimes they sneak up like ninjas while you're engrossed in good conversation and fill up your cups.  Sometimes it's a bit of a shock to get hot coffee from a cup that was lukewarm and about half full the last time you looked.  Even though this place gets pretty busy on the weekends, once you are seated and order your food it comes out with the quickness - so kudos to the kitchen staff for being on the ball.

I love this place and I go back as often as I can .. I really love taking friends here who have never been here.

Now the ultimate in fat kid-ness is they opened up a Bill's Cafe within walking distance of my house.  All kinds of bad for me but all kinds of good for wanting good close awesome breakfast.

PRETTY GOOD BILL.. PRETTY GOOD HAHAHAH....

AT 9 A.M. we had a reservation and it was PACKED! wow crazy, but worth it!!!!! So this is what we ordered... for two.. hahahha

crab cake benedict with hashbrowns - uhmmmm delicious, the only complaint was can I have more crab? but besides that little unfortunate part it was divine!

california benedict? - was avocado, bacon, and poached eggs with hollandaise and hashbrowns! pretty good but I wished that the avocado was salted

and the best part.. strawberry's and whipped cream waffles with butter and maple syrup!!! yes yes yes and yes!!!!

The ice tea could have been sweetened but the fresh squeezed orange juice was freaking amazing!!!!! add some champagne to that and it would have been a perfect 9 a.m. breakfast

All of the rave reviews are accurate about the large portions, good prices, variety and great service.  Just one problem that ruins everything.  They use FAKE butter.

Everything from the hash browns, to the eggs, to the toast and pancakes is made with margarine and it tastes artificial as a result.  It's too bad as I would gladly pay an extra $1 or $2 for real butter.

I've been on a yelp hiatus so I've got lotssssss to review! Bills cafe being the first of few.

This is really a great cozy place to have Saturday morning brunch at. Which me and my friends have been making habit of lately. It's not your typical ihop/denny's type breakfast. It's a lot more...satisfying? I love their eggs bennedict and if you're a breakfast person...this place is one for you! Whenever I come here it's so hard to decide what to get because I always wanna try something new like belgium waffles or pancakes because I love those too but their smoked salmon eggs bennedict usually does it for me.

Great portions, great service, great prices. Win-Win!

It was our first  time at Bill's.We arrived around 1:30 last Sat.11/7.    OHH MY GOD !!! is all i can say.It 's one of those places where you can go back over and over and each time try something different cause everything looks De--Li--Cious.And it was.
The ambiance outside was awesome--the wait was not long --the service all around was quite satisfying. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. And if you have to wait--it's worth the wait!!!

I have found El Dorado! Well at least when it comes to an awesome breakfast I did.

My wife searched Yelp for a local breakfast spot that had high marks. Yelp guided her to Bill's. With 400+ reviews and a very high average rating it seemed like a "sure thing". We weren't disappointed!

I tried the special which was a Carnitas omelette which was carnitas, cheese, onions, fresh jalapenos and it was covered in a green verde sauce. It also came with some awesome hash-browns. Not the store and typical restaurant kind but the wider shredded potatoes. It also came with bread and to treat myself like the legend in my own mind that I am I had a very tasty bloody mary.

My wife had the Eggs Benedict over a potato skin (simplified term as I don't remember the menu name) with fruit. For a drink she had the momosa.

My son had a child's plate and hot chocolate.

All said and done 38$ which was very reasonable considering the two alcoholic drinks which would have easily put us over 45$ at other establishments.

The service was fast and friendly. We were in and out in 45 minutes. I will add that the patio was packed and there was a line out the door when we left at 9:15 AM. So we got there just before the rush.

Needless to say, we will be returning customers.

Went here on a Sunday morning for brunch, and it was good food. Large portions. My breakfast was enough for dinner too. I had Bill's original skillet. Their hot chocolate was good. Despite being busy, our food didn't take long to get and the service was just as good had they been slow.

Definitely go early or plan on waiting, especially for bigger parties. It's nice if you sit outside they bring a bowl of water with ice and a biscuit for dogs.

stopped by again for breakfast this morning. It seems like everything I order is better than what I had the last time I ate there! The breakfast burrito was really really good....hashbrowns were cooked perfectly, and the service was friendly and attentive. Fresh Squeezed OJ looked watered down, but tasted fine.

I've been here a few times and every single time has been delightful!  I am a huge fan of Egg's Benedict and I honestly believe that they have one of the best around town!  The eggs are perfectly poached, the hollandaise is amazing, creamy, buttery, and perfectly salted.

The last time I went here, our waiter was giving us Tequila shots on the house --on a Sunday morning!  He just kept bringing them and kept asking us if we wanted more...  Haha!

When it's someone's birthday, they come out banging in pots and pans, singing to you, and they make you hold a wooden rooster.

If anything at all, I am not a fan of their mimosa's --it tastes really cheap.

The parking here is alright but they have a small lot forcing you to have to park on the street.  The place is always so packed that you will have to wait approximately 15-30 minutes for a table on a Sunday afternoon.

Overall, I highly recommend going here if you haven't already --you will fall in love with the Egg's Benedict and possibly get a buzz going on with the Tequila shots as well! :)

If I could give it a minus 5 I would. Went there this morning 10/1/09 with my friend and ordered the southern scramble with hash browns.
My friends order was confirmed four times and the waiter still got it wrong. The real gross out was when I started on my hash browns and found (I was 90% sure) a black pubic hair. I immediately got my friend to confirm what I was looking at and said yes that looks like what I thought it was.  At this time the waiter walked by to ask how the meal was and I told him WTF was up with this F-ing hair in my food. He offered a replacement which I declined and waited for my friend as he paid for his and I just walked away in disgust. He took mine off the bill. I will never return or will never recommend this place to anyone. This is inexcusable..

So I used to strictly be a Southern Kitchen breakfast girl.... But I think that has changed. Went to Bill's for the first time with the fam on Sunday morning, the wait was horrible, but well worth it. I had the California Benedict which was fab!!! The thing that gives Bill's the leg up on Southern Kitchen is the yummy yummy drinks, really a Mimosa in a giant bowl like cup, LOVE IT... Also what was with the drums and tequila shots and why didn't they come to my table. All and all the food was super good, the service was alright and the drinks have me hooked for life.

I have been to Bill's twice for breakfast, and haven't been disappointed either of these times.
Both times I was extremely hungry and hungover, and this place is just so great, from their food right down to the service.  And even the cool trendy toilets in the bathroom.
First of all, the portions are HUGE for such a reasonable price, and everything is so tasty.  I ordered the chilaquiles the last time I was here, and it was perfect, a wee bit spicy, but that's good by me.  The servers here are always so accomodating and patient, because I am just that indecisive when it comes to dining out.  I would love to come here for lunch or dinner, I have a feeling it would be just as tasty.

Came here for brunch, knew that it was good from the hordes of people waiting out front with huge mimosas.

The wait wasn't bad - 25 minutes so we walked around and by the time we got back, we got a table. Yay!

I wanted everything on the menu and eyes were bigger than my stomach so no healthy dishes for me - I ended up getting the Petaluma Scramble (Chicken Apple Sausage, Mushrooms and Spinach, topped with Swiss Cheese and fresh Salsa).  We also ordered the California Benedict (Two strips of Bacon, Avocado, Tomatoes and poached Eggs on an English Muffin with Hollandaise Sauce). The California Benedict was dee-lish, loved everything about it, the runny egg yolk, crispy bacon, yummy Hollandaise sauce.  The Petaluma Scramble was pretty good, not the best but the California Benedict made up for it. I'm getting the Crab Cake Benedict next time!

Service was friendly and no problems there. I will definitely come to Bill's again for brunch. Good food, friendly folks and lively atmosphere -just what we need to wake up in the morning!

Thank you Yelpers! Again you did not disappoint.

We met some friends up for Sunday Breakfast a few weeks ago. They are from So Cal but staying in Morgan Hill, and we were about to drive all the way from Brentwood to Morgan Hill.

As soon as we pulled up, I didn't have any doubt that this place would rock because there was about 30 people waiting for tables and a lot of them (evesdropping is my middle name) are regulars.

We waited only about 10-15 minutes even though they told us a 20 minute wait.

But that's not the best part: The FOOD! Oy yes, the FOOD. Everyone at our table loved the food. My boy toy ordered the breakfast quesadillas (my heart is skipping beats of me thinking about how yummy they are) and I got the Caprese Eggs Benedict...  OMG....  Can I just say that Mozzarella cheese and Eggs Benedict should permanently be best friends?!?!

I heart you Yelpers for getting me to hit up Bill's. Love it!

OMG this has to be the best breakfast/brunch place in the south bay!  The food is delicious and has cute patio seating.  They play drums for people celebrating their birthdays and serve shots in the morning!  CRAZY PLACE but get there early because this place gets packed!

I ordered the crab cakes benedict and it was AMAZING!  I think our friend ordered 3 of the other eggs benedicts (you can ask for croissants instead of english muffins).  My hubby got the protein omelet.  That was pretty good but mine was definitely better!  Our friend ordered the skillet and that looked pretty good too.

Definitely a must try in Willow Glen for breakfast or brunch!

PS. Their mimosa's are served in a huge bowl!  The cranberry one actually tasted better than the orange!  Shots in the morning!  CRAZY COOL!

I don't know what the hype is, but maybe its because its been around the area for awhile?  I don't know.  I decided to come here based on the reviews.  My bf's sister came in from San Diego and when she took us out for breakfast-it was to die for.  So I wanted to return the favor and with the help of Yelp, I found Bill's Cafe.

The bf and I shared the Crab Cakes Benedict and the sister got the special-Bread Pudding French Toast

Crab Cakes-imitation?? FAIL???

French Toast-banana raisin bread soaked in syrup with bananas, 2 eggs and sausages on the side....Please note:  This is realllllllllllllllllllllly sweet.  I mean the bread itself is already sweet so I suggest ordering the syrup on the side.  This might help decrease the risk of diabetes.

Price wasn't bad.

Would I come here again?  No

Hard to say anything bad about Bill's. Yes, if you go late on Saturday or Sunday morning there will be a wait as it is very popular. That is no reason to give the place a lower rating.

Bottom line: The food and service are great. They deal with the large crowds well and you never feel rushed. I think a lot of the credit needs to go to hands-on owners who care. How many places can you go today where the owner is running around asking how everyone is doing and topping off their coffee as well?

Highly recommended, but go early on weekends to avoid the rush.

We just can't stop looking for an excuse to come here!!  This last Sunday (we have brunch every Sunday), the Sharks were practicing at Sharks Ice, so we all declared "BILL's!" in unison.

I'm writing this review because I got a new benedict that was TDF (To Die For).  My mom and I split the Mexicali Benedict. Holy *expletive*!  "Toasted English Muffin, pulled Pork Carnitas, Tomatoes, Avocados, Poached Eggs topped with freshly made Salsa" is what it says on the menu.  The pulled pork melts in your mouth, the avocado was perfect, and the salsa on top is so tasty that you don't even realize that your nose is starting to run from the spiciness.

My step dad got the oatmeal which I thought was less than adventurous, but it looked really GOOD!  It came with sliced bananas on top, and a separate plate of brown sugar, raisins, and milk to add.  Yum.

My kiddo got the cinnamon french toast and it never disappoints.  As sickeningly sweet as it sounds, it really isn't.  The cinnamon swirl doesn't have added sugar like a normal cinnamon roll, so once you add the syrup, it's perfect.

At the advice of other reviewers, I got there early (8a) and there was zero wait.  I also heard loud and clear that this place has awesome eggs benedict.  So naturally, I had to order one of those and I picked the Crab Cakes Benedict.

Holy toledo.

You have to get this on your first/next visit.

Crab cakes = perfectly crunchy on the inside and bursting with flavor on the inside.

Eggs = perfectly poached.

Hollandaise sauce = I wish I had asked for some extra on the side.

Hashbrowns = mmm, mmm, gooood.

My younger brother was in town for a few days and we decided to carbo load before we went hiking and I found this 'lil place on yelp.

It's a typical cafe with ample seating and some 'brellas for the outdoor patio.

I found it relaxing ... if cars did pass by so often!  The food wasn't outstanding but they had a decent selection of Eggs Benedict.

I got the EL Paso Benedict : Poached egg o/ corn beef hash o/ english muffin topped off w/ a Holandaise sauce.  it was actually pretty good but my only quibble would be that the holandaise sauce was made too long ago and it became too thick.  -1star

My brother got the burger and it was a little dry.  Seems like they just bought the premade patties from costco.  3min the waiter told us that he gave my brother the wrong burger.  FAIL  -1 star

We are too laid back to care so we told him it's fine and kept the consumption flowing.

I would recommend this place since it's the only decent place i've been to in the south bay.

The food was ok although lacking in vegetarian options so I had pancakes - yet again :-(

The worst part is the noise! It seems Bill's attracts people who think everyone wants to hear about their life so they shout at each other across the table. To make matters worse, the staff get out drums and bash away on them while singing "Happy Birthday" for some unfortunate customer. If you sit outside, you soon realize you're on a bus route and the traffic is heavy so it's almost impossible to talk and you're breathing diesel fumes.

Overall, a rather bad experience - I'll give this place a miss in the future.

Harumph!

Ma and Pa Megabyte... Ahem! The Captain meant to say... Ma Megabyte and The Captain set out on a lovely sunny Sunday morning, having eschewed religious devotions (as usual) to partake of the delights offered at this "yelp" revered establishment.

Arriving early for a Sunday at around 9:45 AM, and being greeted on this, our first visit, as if we were family by the floor staff, we found ourselves in that luscious quandary, which is rarely experienced in a popular dining venue. We had a plethora of seating options, both inside and out, although the joint was far from empty.

We usually opt for indoor seating, because in our experience, it offers the best service. Too many restaurants treat their outdoor areas as afterthoughts. Yet, we noted the veritable army of Waitrons and Bussers bustling about outside as well as in, and decided on a shaded table which provided an unobstructed view of the joint's entrance, as well as all of the outdoor seating area.

Menus and water appeared almost instantaneously, and upon perusal, the prices displayed were astonishingly reasonable, considering the toney location, as well as the cut-above, yet understated elegance of everything we had seen so far.

The Captain and Ma, feeling a bit dissipated from the previous evening's debauchery, were only too happy to accept the offer of hot coffee, cringing only slightly when we noted the "Superior" logo on the pot, which was proffered by the Busser. This is a cut rate wholesale restaurant supplier brand, which is drinkable, yet hardly memorable. The Captain and Ma exchanged looks, meaning "Reserve judgement. It ain't over til the Maitre D sings... "Your cheque is ready Monsieur and Madame"

The Captain, being a former Semi Driver opted for, with little expectation, the Chicken Fried Steak  (A dish, which is the most popular among us "Knights of the Road" in all 48 states!) in his ongoing, and diligent quest to find the "Best C.F.S" in the SF bay area. (It's only $10.95 in this joint!)

Ma Megabyte opted to order the Greek Scramble, which was priced similarly. She has this thing for feta cheese, which The Captain, although not disliking it, doesn't share her love for it. It came along with impeccably scrambled eggs, the cheese, fresh (and we mean fresh, vine ripened) tomatoes, and chopped green onions. The Captain had to agree, after Ma offered a bite, that it was absolutely first class.

The Captain was slightly put off by the appearance of his Chicken Fried Steak, (So large, it had to be served on a separate platter) because it was almost perfectly round in shape, (Raising the spectre of pre-portioned, microwaveable-steak-in-a-freezer-bag) but after the first taste, he didn't care if it was or wasn't. It was tender, juicy and properly seasoned, with the crunchy, savory crust expected of the best examples, which brings us to the question of the "sawmill" or "pepper-cream gravy".

It was good! Although The Captain can do much better. These folks, as well as countless other venues could also, if they cared to. (See the recipe offered after the Captain's frustration reached the boiling point with local venues, and was provided gratis, BY THE CAPTAIN, to one and all, in his review of "A Bite of Wyoming".

As to the biscuits, smothered in the above described gravy, If they weren't scratch and homemade, The Captain's taster needs calibration desperately. If they are pre-packaged frozen or refrigerated dough, The Captain would do just about anything short of murder to acquire access to the makers. Absolutely wonderful biscuits.

The only further comments The Captain has, concerning both meals, are that although the gravy serving over the biscuits was adequate, if not generous, the amount of gravy gracing the C. F. S. was a bit meager. The home fried potatoes, Ma ordered were lovely, and the hash browns The Captain ordered were perfectly rendered.

The Captain must admit, he got a little carried away on his first attempt at reviewing this five star establishment. After all, it was Ma Megabyte's fault. She invented that Sarcasmatron thing and I just couldn't tear myself away from it's lovely, diabolical... gadgetyness!

"Hah!" (Ma Megabyte, Inter-human and alien technologist, and The Captain's Wife and Chief Tormentor) "Why duzntcha tell the peeples da truth,Cap'n! Ya fergot to take yer ADD meds agin, and yuz went off on a tangent... Agin!"

All right Dear... I guess The Captain should be grateful you're not refering to him as "Pa Megabyte" at least. Although, seeing as you have, yet again, waved a deeply personal aspect of The Captain's psyche in front of our millions (more like dozens) of readers... He must temper his gratitude.

Ma Megabyte and Captain Pie Hole, Away!

I've been wanting to go here for some time. So I scheduled a lunch meeting here. I'm so glad that I did! There are so many items to choose from on the menu. They offer a large selection of breakfast dishes. There are also sandwiches and salads offered as well.

I had their caprese sandwich and it was OK. I wasn't completely in love with it. It comes with a soup or salad to begin with and a side dish of fries or fruit. I'd really like to come back another time to try their breakfast. I hear it can get pretty crowded during the mornings/brunch time. It's nice that they have outdoor seating; which is a must during beautiful days.

This particular restaurant in Willow Glen is the original and founding one. It's right off Lincoln Ave, so you don't get a ton of traffic in front of it. Plenty of parking around the area and there's a private lot on the side of it. They posted a sign that says 1 hour parking limit, just to help keep traffic flowing in and out of Bill's. I'm not sure if anyone is actually regulating it.

Came here on a Saturday morning around 8:30am.   We got a table right away, and the service was great.   I think the food is overrated.   I ordered eggs with chicken apple sausage.   The sausage and eggs were over cooked, edible but not the best.   The hasbrowns were good and the salsa that I requested was tasty.  My boyfriend loved his corned beef hash and eggs and ate everything on his plate.   I will come here again and try something else on the menu to re-review.

Best breakfast place ever!

I have been here quite often and expect the long wait and the somewhat noisy atmosphere. It is all worth it. I have ordered a some different things here tried some omelets and the waffles which all were good. Then one day I tried the banana bread pudding french toast and it was over. That is all I order anymore it is delicious! I cannot finish the whole plate as it comes with eggs and bacon, but I take it home. The best thing i have had for breakfast ever!
The wait-staff is also excellent friendly and they never leave your glass empty, great service.

I will continue to frequent Bill's for the delicious food and great service.

Now the pro of this location is well... the location.  It's situated in quaint Willow Glen whereas the other one looks like a typical diner on a corner.  There's a lovely patio area outside too which does have adequate shade (it was HOT today so I needed this).

If you read my other review, yes I ordered one of the same dish: El Paso Benedict.  Now how can you resist this one when corned beef hash is included?  I knew I would gravitate towards this again because it's one of the few eggs benedict dishes that contains meat.  It was just as good as the last time I had it, if not better, except that my poached egg was just very slightly overcooked.  The yolk is supposed to be runny with a hardening crust but I found that it was only running a little.  Yea yea, call me picky.

I decided to try their "famous" Bread Pudding French Toast (which Naglee Park Garage makes well).  Normally the french toast comes with two eggs and your choice of bacon/sausage for $7.50.  This was too much for my friend and I so we just ordered a side of just the bread pudding french toast for $4.95.  I highly recommend that you do this because for less than $5, you will get a BIG portion.  Big portion meaning two super thick slices of bread pudding and a whole banana cut in half long ways.  I would say this was pretty good but not amazing, mainly because it was just sitting/swimming/bathing in a pool of syrup.  The actual consistency of the bread pudding was just right and although I could taste that it pan fried, it was dipped in a special batter and not egg.

Service was more than efficient... to the point of the server constantly reaching over me to fill my water cup.  Even when I was about to bring it up to my mouth, he swooped in to fill it up.  That's what I call good.  I've been to the location on Bascom Ave. but had to see why this location had so many more reviews.  Ultimately, I found that they were equal in quality.

Over 400 yelps and 4 stars and we were sold.  7 meals later, we were still in agreement that this place has pretty great breakfasts, although the ambiance is lacking.  The place looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 60s.  There were 7 different eggs benedicts.  I got the eggs cordon bleu version which was poached eggs over a croissant, covered in Swiss cheese and hollandaise sauce.  The hashed browns were super well done on the outside and mushy in the middle and so flavorless.  The skillets were a little undercooked.  Pancakes come in super awesome flavors such as coconut, macadamia nuts and banana, frosted flakes and strawberry, and chocolate and coconut.  The bread pudding French toasted with the caramelized bananas was beautiful but tasted awful.  Do not get the OJ.  It tasted like Tang.  It was disgusting.  Portions are HUGE.  Prices are reasonable.  It's a good people watching place.
