First Pose: (toeasana to mouthasana pose) Now, shift all your weight to your left leg. Grab your right foot and carefully wrap your leg around your head. Now, stick your toe in your mouth and breathe. Hold the pose. Inhale and lift your heart to the ceiling and exhale. 30 more seconds...
In all seriousness, Bikram Yoga is an excellent practice. I have been out of practice since 2001. I am very thankful that the instructor allowed me to do the 10 day pass for $10.
I first discovered Bikram Yoga in 2001. I shattered my kneecap and severed my patella tendons when a reckless snowboarder crashed into me on the slopes of North Star. My doctor told me that I would recover, but said it would be impossible to run again and I should give up snowboarding. My stubborn mind refused to give up either one. I was determined to find a way.
After 6 months of continuous therapy, I was able to walk and cycle. However, my knee still didn't have the full flexibility it needed to be safe for running without further injury. My physical therapist told me about Bikram Yoga.
I tried Bikram Yoga. In less than 10 classes, I gained the flexibility back in my knee. I was on my way to a complete recovery. I was able to run again and have completed 7 marathons and a number of races since that injury.
Well, guess what? Now, I'm out of practice, out of shape, and back at Bikram for the first time in years at the Sea Cliff Studio.
The Sea Cliff studio is spacious, clean, and HOT. I just finished my 4th class and I am already craving to master the poses and heat. I am by no way near good with the poses, but my effort and participation makes for an excellent workout. I'm hooked again.
Last Pose: Bend over and place both hands on the floor with prayer hands. Slowly ease your legs above your head while keeping your hands in prayer form. Only the tips of your fingers should be touching your mat. Now, breathe.
Overall: The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, the studio is clean and spacious, and classes are not crowded because they offer classes every 2 hours. Yay!
Note: The poses listed in this review do not represent Bikram Yoga, but is a representation of my insane humor. Practice MY poses with caution and with a doctor's supervision, or my recommendation, not at all.

Did the $10 for 10 day trial membership. And I went for 5 of the 10 days.
Pros: good trial program, nice waiting area in front, big yoga room, nice staff.
Cons: only one toilet, only one shower, women's bathroom door does not swing close (so if someone walks out without closing, its wide open for everyone to see inside), bathroom (also the changing room) is very small space for how many women there are... I find myself rushing to change in a corner with everyone else trying to walk by me, very uncomfortable. One of the instructors (the guy, I forgot his name) talks very fast... like its a car auction; i guess with other yoga classes I've taken, the instructors speak slowly; also give a spiritual vibe when talking about poses and how to focus on clearing the mind.
Seems like there are more cons than pros, but in the big picture, this is a very good yoga studio for yoga. I'm going to try a few more studios and see which one fits me best and will seek a long term membership with the best one.

I am completely obsessed with bikram yoga!
Had I ever tried bikram before coming to Bikram Yoga Seacliff? No.
Did I actually think I would continue beyond the 10 days (because it is SO expensive)? Not really.
Am I going back? Absolutely!
The teachers work you hard, but its fabulous. If you're feeling that class is tough, take a time out and sit on your mat. You are doing yourself a service if you just stay in there! It does get easier. After a hiatus of about 2 months (I blame my wedding, honeymoon, and getting back into "real life"), I will be heading back tomorrow. I have worked it into my life and budget because I am completely in love with bikram. Plus, if you're a student, you get 20% off!
I've been to most of the other bikram studios in the city and this is my favorite one. The yoga room is nice and large. Every teacher I've had has been excellent and very encouraging. Great place for beginners or experienced yogis!
$10 for 10 days introductory class?!? How can I say no? I love bikram yoga and would never pass up on a good deal to sweat buckets.
My first impression of this place was that it was big! Huge! Much larger facility then Fluid yoga. The instructor, Christian, was the only person manning the front lines. He was great. Set the vibe of a community oriented center. First names are used on a regular basis. Yea...I feel loved. :) Cubbies in the hallway and bathroom to store your belongings.
Time to go into class. But wait?!? CARPET? Er...won't we be sweating on that? Ew... No bueno! No, I did not know that bikram yoga is supposed to be practiced in a carpeted room. Who came up with that? Regardless, minus points for the high possibility of spreading disease.
Otherwise, the classes are awesome! I always find bikram yoga my rejuvenation session. I push myself more and more with each class and when you are finally able to hold that pose it's all worth the sweat. The instructors are nice, relaxed and offer great personalized suggestions. I really felt at home here.
Parking can be hard here so come early.

I don't believe there is ANY workout I could do that would make me sweat as much Bikram Yoga AND make me feel as mentally centered and physically rejuvenated. It's definitely not easy to do but about an hour after, you feel like a million bucks. The class is challenging. It's like you vs' yourself.
So far, I'm doing the 10 for $10 and after day number four, I feel like I've already eliminated months of toxic build-up and stiffness in my wrists, arms and shoulders.
I like the Seacliff location because there are shower facilities to rinse off after. Plus the facility seems well maintained and clean. Not all funky.

holy hot yoga! So I've been to quite a few bikram studios - some good, some bad but Bikram Yoga Seacliff is a good studio for sure! Clean facilities, great specials, and relaxed and well trained staff. They take bikram yoga seriously and this is a good thing. I've been able to push myself a little farther in this class because they are good at reminding you about your pose and how to better yourself during the hold.
They have a free class with referral biz cards at the front for first timers and $10 for 10 (in a month) for first timers also (first-timers take advantage!)
Have fun and push through to camel pose! (Lord knows I have a hard time!!!)
Hot yoga, dont knock it till you try it! $10 for 10 classes is a great deal. I wanted to venture out from my other place in the inner sunset and stumbled upon this one.
First class, 100 degrees, oh i was sweating and i was hurting. It kicked my ass beyond belief. But after a couple more times, it was like a natural high. Hot classes are my favorite because you tend to really feel like you're getting rid of all the toxins in your body. And to be honest, without the risk of sounding pervy, i like the sweating and flushed feeling i get after class is done.
My instructor was very patient and very good. I felt like i learned a lot. The studio itself is spacious and nice and clean. Very relaxing as soon as you step in and begin. If you've never tried Bikram Yoga, dont get discouraged after the first class. Its hard and it takes some getting use to. But after awhile, you will love it. I dont think my legs would look half as great as they do without my yoga.

I tried yoga at 24 Fitness before. But I never got into it. Then my friend suggested I try bikram yoga here at Seacliff. She told me that it is completely different from regular yoga because its 100 degrees inside the room. I've heard about how hot it can get, but I never imagined how difficult the hot temperature would make bikram yoga to be. In fact, I struggled with the common side effect for beginners with dizziness, nausea, and fatigue. Needless to say, the first day was the hardest workout I ever had in my life. If there hadn't been so many girls in the room, I might have even walked out in the middle of class. However, I got through the 90 minutes and I signed up for more when I saw the deal for $10 for 10 days. It is a great introductory deal that you can't pass, and personally I love a good challenge.
The instructors here are very helpful and work you out hard. I had the pleasure to be taught by most, if not all the instructors here including Shelly, Carolina, Christian, Nina, Even, and Suzanne. They are all very nice and approachable. They provide helpful tips on how to improve your performance during and after class. Most importantly, they all try to motivate and encourage you to work harder to maximize your yoga experience.
Another great quality about this place is that the yoga room has plenty of space for everyone. But most importantly, this place has helped me become healthier, lose weight, and get my body much leaner and more defined. I used to do a lot of weight lifting, but now I am much more balanced with bikram yoga in my normal routine. In fact, I am currently trying to finish the 30 consecutive days challenge they have here and I am well on my way. I love it so much I can't imagine skipping a day. Not only has bikram changed my workout routine, it changed the way I eat and drink. For example, during my first week of bikram, I went to a wedding and drank more than a few beers and cocktails. I went to bikram the next day, and boy did I struggle. After that day, I started eating better and became persistently more conscious of what I consumed into my body. In effect, I feel healthier, more energized, and rejuvenated. Some of the positions are difficult, but if you keep trying, you will reap the benefits in the end. So if you've been curious about bikram yoga or want to start again, I highly recommend this place. At a minimum, the $10 for 10 days is a deal you should take advantage of.

Although I'm still not sure whether I like it or not, hot yoga is a great ass-kicker in slow motion. I forgot what doing anything in 100 degrees feels like since moving to San Francisco from New York City and at first, it's truly overwhelming.
During my first session, I cursed my life to high heaven and prayed to the gods to make it stop, but once it was over, not only did I feel amazing (and soaked), I had an incredible urge to go back. Second session, I still cursed my life, but mostly because of a farter right next to me. 100 degrees + farter right next to you = not an ideal situation.
Overall, it was a truly unique experience and I'm excited to keep going.
About Bikram Yoga Seacliff: It's a great place. It's super clean, the bathroom is spotless and big, it is suprisingly un-smelly (aside from an occasional fart of course) and the staff is wonderful. The instructors are very attentive, gentle, and generally nice people.
Overall, I couldn't have picked a better place to go to. They have a great promotion, offer great support, and really clean facilities.

I have been practicing Bikram yoga on and off since 1998, but have attended three classes weekly for over one year now. I started going to SeaCliff approximately six months ago because Funky Door (Polk) cut back its classes. I have attended Bikram classes all over San Francisco, and also in Seattle, New York, Rome, Paris and Mexico. I say all this so you will know that I am comparing SeaCliff to all that has come before it. I am guessing that I have had over fifty teachers during the last ten years.
SeaCliff has a very nice interior. I am still noticing tasteful and thoughtful selections that the owner has made. The studio is by far the most "luxurious" location out of all the Bikram studios to which I have been. The main room where we practice is serene, with dim lighting and quiet art (well, Buddha guys); it is fairly spacious as well. I find the room temperature just perfect, and I enjoy the humming sounds of the humidifiers and fans. The changing rooms are also in good taste and are clean. Having only one shower stall does not seem to be a problem.
But what makes a yoga studio fantastic is not the aesthetics of the decor but the teachers. SeaCliff has the best teacher I have ever seen. Her name is Tamar. Whether you are a novice or an experienced practitioner, you will find her teaching style unrivalled. She teaches from the inside out (as I call it): you feel like she is in the pose with you, guiding you incrementally every step of the way. She provides unique insights and describes how to perform the various poses with simple suggestions. She is truly excellent, superb, fantastic.
In contrast, there are so many Bikram teachers who just use generic dialogue with uninspiring commands. For example, there are teachers who command (or as is often the case practically scream at) you to "reach and stretch" or "lock your legs" or "pull, pull, pull" and that is all they say over and over and over and over and over and over again -- well, that is just annoying and really does not inspire the listener to do much of anything except try to block them out of their hearing range.
Most of the teachers at SeaCliff are much better than this. Christian, alas, really could improve his teaching. His dialogue is quite generic. He is unduly focused on how much time we have left in the pose; the student, then, is focusing on counting the seconds (which Christian does out loud) instead of where his or her body is in that particular pose. He, ironically, really has pretty poor time management skills; we are often in poses way too long and then he tells us that we have to rush through the last six or seven poses and rest periods so we will end on time. Well, that sounds so critical I realize.
Overall, SeaCliff is a fine place. Oh, one more thing: it would be a great improvement if the teacher schedules could be posted. Oh, and one more thing -- that guy who was complaining about the water: I have never seen a water fountain at a Bikram studio. They are very expensive to install and maintain.
Seacliff has a great team of instructors. The place is clean, rates are not bad for the city, and has probably the most number of classes for us busy city folks. Highly recommended!
WOWZA!
I don't think I have experienced anything quit like Bikram yoga. I've done yoga for many years but had never tried Bikram. I think the heat part of it scared me. My room mate convinced me we needed to try it.
I seriously thought I was gonna die after my first class, but after about an hour I felt so great that it was official... I'm addicted. Every time after that it has gotten easier and easier. Just after 1 class I noticed a difference in my body.
The $10 for ten days is seriously a steel! I recommend going very hydrated to the class and don't eat right before. You are sure to love it, even if you hate it at first!

I'm currently doing the special $10 for 10 days. This is my first experience with Bikram Yoga and have to say that I was in complete shock after my first class. 20 minutes into it, I kept thinking "I'm never coming back. I'm never coming back. I don't care that I just paid $10, I'm NEVER coming back!" I'm sure many people think that. But, after the initial shock of how intense Bikram Yoga is, I absolutely LOVE it!
I'm more of a cardio girl when it comes to workouts. I don't see results unless I do some intense cardio 5 days a week. I've only been to 2 classes and can already see improvements in my body. Of course I'm sore all over, but that's how you know it's working! I've even lost 3 lbs this week (with an extreme modified diet, too of course.)
I've had the same instructor both classes, I think her name is Suzanne. She's fabulous. She knows who's a beginner and doesn't expect you to do all the moves, cuz well, it's some intense stuff you're doing in that 103 degree heat. She tells you to take it slow, and if you need to rest, you can sit down and chill out as much as you want. She comes around and adjusts your poses so you're doing them right, and remembers your name so she can encourage you throughout the class.
Towels are $2 to rent, so it's better to bring your own. Mats are $1 to rent. I Love it all, and I'm so excited I found a new hobby to get me into better shape this summer!

Bikram Yoga Seacliff responds with a one sentence reply that my language is "offensive" and that i should continue yoga to help with my stress.
well - leaving aside the issue of my stress (who among us can cast the first stone?) i invite anyone to read my review and decide whether it is "offensive"... i stand by my comments, it is a flagrant and obvious commercial tactic to not have a water fountain. again - this may seem petty but believe me if i had paid their prices for water i would've spent an extra $4 - that adds up. and *they know it*. don't prented you don't guys - i find that "offensive".

Doing anything in 100 degree temperature sounds insane, but I'd heard such rave reviews. My first class was on a Sunday afternoon with only 5 other people in attendance. I had a lot of individual attention.
The instructor was very attentive and patient with me, being as it was my very first class. The atmosphere was very soothing and relaxing. The temperature really helps relax your muscles and helps you stretch them out.
After my first class my face was beet red. I was sweating profusely - dripping. I was immediately aware of my breathing and intake of air as well as the glow on my skin. I felt sore all over from the class, which makes me a believer in Bikram. However, if for nothing else, I love the effect of the stretching and sweating on my now supple and healthy skin. This alone will drag my lazy butt off the couch to attend 90 minutes of intensity.
I've been a muay thai kickboxer and polynesian dancer for about 10 years now, and am used to fast-paced, intense workouts. Before coming to this class I thought the biggest challenge would be the heat.
WRONG. Everything about this class is a challenge. I had no idea how much stamina it would take to get through what I thought would be a 90-minute stretch-session. You work your balance and strength, and the amount of focus is takes to get through the class is almost the same, to me, as it is to get through a 3-round muay-thai battle.
After this class, i feel energized, refreshed...similar to the way i feel after I get a really good massage. don't get me wrong, there have been plenty of times when i just wanted to take a nap right afterward.
Every instructor I've had (been coming for about 6 weeks now, different classes throughout the week) has been good in their own way-motivational, fit, inspiring, and they know their stuff. they'll help you adjust your postures to really challenge yourself. I learn something new every time i go to class.
When i first started, i couldn't wait for class to be over (are we done yet? are we done yet?) and now, class goes by super fast.
i agree with some of the posts that the temperatures/humidity of different classes can be inconsistent..and i have to admit, there are some classes i go to on purpose cuz i know the teacher won't have it as hot as another. however-i tend to find that the more i sweat, the better i feel at the end. and when class seems to be a little on the cool side, i don't feel that i've worked out as hard. i agree that having a paper schedule with the teachers listed would be nice: teachers i prefer are christian, susan, evan, katie, and carolyn.
one last note. I smoked ciggarettes on and off for about 8 years, and after a week of coming here, i just stopped smoking cold turkey and don't miss it at all. i wasn't even looking to quit, it just happened.

Bikram Yoga, recommended to me by my g/f (I remained reluctant for months before finally caving in) has become a rather addictive part of my life much in the same way as chocolate or nicotine is for some.
The heat, the fullness of the stretches, the sweating... it all adds up to an amazing experience every time I come here. I was more accustomed to outdoor sports like running, cycling, and basketball, but now that I've tried Bikram here at Seacliff, I find myself constantly raving to my friends about what a life-changing experience it is.
The facilities are clean, the teachers (especially Christian) are really helpful and inspirational, and the large amount of classes offered definitely accommodates my schedule. I usually come to the 6:30 or 8:15pm classes, and there is always enough room to feel comfortable and not cramped in the 105F heat.
Also, the management is very receptive to students' scheduling needs; every month they poll the students to see if additional times are necessary or better for people's schedules.

I've been going to this location on and off for about 6 months mostly because I found more spiritual yoga (e.g. Yoga Tree) and used Bikram only to stretch up. Still, I am really grateful to Bikram because for the guys like me (with tight hamstring and rigid spine) this is the only way to gain flexibility and possibly loose some weight. Also a Seacliff studio improved a lot lately by maintaining a nice hot temperature in its spacious room and also by eliminating BO.
Yet I have some comments that can improve experiencing an amazing complex of 26 exercises designed to prepare your body for deeper stretching and twisting with each repetition. Note to the instructors: please stop barking commands like army sergeants or like we are a bunch of lazy rookies who can only be moved by screaming and clapping! This simply doesn't help to meditate or focus not to mention that it is hard to maintain concentration in the heat doing yoga that is physically demanding .
Note to administration: please make the life of instructors easier so they can stay and work at your studio longer; the fact that I see new instructor faces while the old ones disappear is very alarming! Also if you can post who teaches what class then people can find a better match for themselves. This by the way, will give an indication who is a better teacher... If you also post the expected temperature in the room for each time/day it will definitely be greatly appreciated. The temperature does vary sometimes being under 100F and sometimes going over 110F, and I assume not due to random reasons.
Other than that, I am quite happy with this studio and staff. They are friendly, helpful, and devoted to what they are doing. The heat can repel in the beginning but each body can adjust, it just takes time. Bikram is an awesome experience because you can see your progress quite fast (in a matter of weeks if you work hard) and the after feeling is an amazing one! I have not only improved my flexibility and lost about 20 pounds but also healed my knees and tendons, which none of the medications or food supplements could do!!! Yeap, I can run now and do cold yoga as well.

I practice yoga for the past 3 years in different places in SF(Haight street, Divizadero, i tired ones at Park Presidio), but this place I loved it from the first time! Very clean, not crowded, teachers are great(but sometimes they can be too tuff for people who is new to Bikram). I will recommend this place for someone who done Bikram for a while, for someone who cares about really clean place(other places where i placticed before always smell horrible). Hurry up, they have great deal now( 10 classes for $10).
When the classes are really full I wish the room was bigger- but other than that I love this place. The staff is very friendly and even though I have only been a few times, they remember my name ;)
I love that they sell coconut water too- a nice refreshing drink after 90 minutes of sweaty yoga.

I love this place! I had a serious back injury in a car accident three years ago and decided to try Bikram yoga, after reading that the original owner had used Bikram to get over back surgery. Coming here has eliminated my back pain and made me feel much healthier overall.
Great teachers and great students. Everyone is friendly and helpful to new students.
We really enjoy our yoga sessions at Bikram Yoga Seacliff! The studio is clean, the staff and instructors are very welcoming and helpful - and they remembered our names after just one visit :)
26 postures in 90 minutes in a room heated to 105 degrees... and it gets better: after each class you feel rejuvenated and energized.
The thought of sweating in a hot room with a room full of strangers for an hour and a half is very pleasing to us now!

I'm back to Bikram yoga after a 3 year hiatus and very happy to be taking classes at Seacliff. The studio is huge and I have yet to have a crowded class. The instructors are supportive and helpful, the place is clean and the new lighting is great (no more fluorescent light!).
If you have never done Bikram yoga before and are interested go for at least 3 classes within 7-10 days. My first 3 days back were so difficult - both physically and emotionally but the 4th class was an amazing breakthrough and it's been amazing since.
I've found that Yoga (especially Bikram) really compliments any meditation or mind-body wellness program by unlocking 'emotional junk' that you probably weren't aware of. Pay attention during camel pose...pretty amazing.

In a cold & extra-rainy San Francisco winter, i'm grateful to have enjoyed many amazing (fun, even!), bikram classes at Bikram Yoga Seacliff.
10 days for $10. even if you make it through just :one: 90 minute class and never return, you'll have invested yourself and your time well.
The studio is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful without being over-the-top 'no pain no gain' bikram drill sargeants, and they even sell coconut water @ the desk :)
a sweet winter treat and a great way to warm up and work it out before those sunny summer days arrive ;] !
i hope to continue on with classes at Bikram Yoga Seacliff - see you there?!
I have tried many different kinds of yoga but have never had that refreshed and rejuvenated feeling till I tried bikram.
Yes you sweat your ass off for 1.5 hours, but you feel re-invented when you walk out.
I have become like a gumby since practicing bikram and have got a few of my friends to go with me. They too love it and said it was one of the best work outs they had in days.
I try to frequent at least three days a week because that is what was recommended.
All of the staff are super friendly and will give you pointers if your not in the right position.
If you never tried, its a must.

Thanks to this studio I'm back in the Bikram saddle again, after taking much too long of a break from this practice I'm happy to be back. The studio is cute, clean, and the temp is hot enough that you sweat like a pig but not too hot where you want to lay down and die. I've experienced 2 instructors that are good and keep you focused and motivated. After trying out various kinds of yoga - I was sick of doing the downward dog for most of the classes and always compared it to Bikram. I love the funny Bikramisms that are said in every studio.
I really want to like this place because I love Bikram yoga and have been practicing for 10+ yrs. I like the new decor, think the instructors are good, and the schedule offers tons of classes. But I have been to several classes lately where the heat was 110 degrees, which many people agree after class is just too f-ing hot. A couple of people said it's not as hot in the morning classes and so they don't go to evening classes anymore if they can help it. But I say keep the temperature the same for each class. Please. Some of us can't choose morning classes and want to keep coming back to support this new business and experience Bikram yoga, which Bikram himself says must be practiced in 105 degrees.
Fast-forward three months: I was encouraged by the owner's response to my above email, and so I recently returned and attended three classes in one week. Well, they're still pushing 110 degrees at this studio, and the instructors are not willing to discuss how this temperature might compromise their students' practice. So... I'm shopping for a new Bikram studio, if anyone has any suggestions.

I tried yoga for the first time yesterday, boy it was a good workout. The $10 for 10 days promo was great. I was basically sweating my ass off for 90 mins. The instructor I think was Christian, he's so nice and actually remembers all the new members name and introduces you before class starts. If i can finish the first class i will finish all nine classes :)
My first Bikram class was at Mission Yoga, years ago. I have since moved and brought my practice to this studio. I commend all the improvement efforts and the instructors are fantastic. The vibe here now calls to mind how I used to feel at Mission-- open, comfortable and supported. Thanks guys and gals!
PS- love the new lighting in the studio!!
The owner did seem to sincerely want to make things right. Thought that was pretty classy.

There could not be a more perfect location than 1/2 a block from my house...I feel guilty when I make long breaks between my yoga practice. Ever since I started using this studio last July, I have felt an amazing transformation in my body. I love the studio for having great teachers and a nice clean facility. My only complaint is the triangle pose where we have to place our bare feet on the carpet instead of the mat - not very sanitary, but I hope this can be addressed with the owner.
Thank you BYS
The new owners here have really made this the top bikram yoga studio in the City. They've turned up the heat and humidity to just about the right level without it being scorching. Under the prior ownership it never seemed quite hot enough. They also now have a "party time" break after the warmup series which is the way it should be.
I did "dry" yoga before in couple different locations. Then I feel I need to go further and try something more advance and challanging for myself. That what make me try Bikram. As far as I did 5 visits I can say - it is cool and challanging place!!! I am so happy to find such an awesome studio within walking distance of my house. All of the instructors go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome & comfortable. Also, because of different teachers each time I always learn something new and helpful.I'm not sure if the other Bikram Yoga studios but that "smell" is ectually smell of hard work. Maybe it will be easier for all of you to handle if you realized this. I recommend Bikram Yoga Seacliff to everyone! I think it doesn't matter if you are in 17th on a 85 years old in a wheelchair. I believe you would benefit just from being in a room so full of positive & persevering energy. I will contineously practice and welcoming everyone to share such a wonderful exeperience!
i just went here for the first time. as a guy, i was very hesitant, but was dragged here by my girlfriend. i'll admit, the $10 for 10 sessions seems like a good deal, and being chinese . . . well you know the rest.
i sweated to the brink of death. and loved it. i will definitely be back. the teacher was awesome. she remembers your name, and gently tells you where you are doing things wrong or right, in such a nice way - definitely makes you feel welcome and introduce you into something that you obviously have no clue about nor why you are there, nor why you are subjecting yourself to utterly profuse sweating and some strange body contortions that arent totally guy-friendly. needless to say, i will be back, and in fact i already told 2 other guy friends to come next time.

I started going here just before they changed their name from Global Yoga to Bikram Seacliff (ownership changed). I have to say I was very apprehensive to try this style of yoga. I had only started doing any kind of yoga a few weeks prior to first going here. While I stood outside waiting for the door to unlock (I was a bit early), I almost wanted to bolt. 105 degrees and humidity, while exercising, seems pretty crazy.
But I am so happy I didn't bolt. The teacher that night was super friendly and helpful, and I made it through the entire class without needing to sit down or leave. And felt this enormous sense of relaxation unlike I've got from any other yoga class from all that heat and exertion. Sure, it's still pretty tough to get through (especially those first few classes) - but the reward is certainly at the end and makes it all worth it. So if you're stressed this is definitely the class to take. And after a few weeks I think I'm getting much more used to the heat (I still sweat buckets and my face is like a lobster, but it isn't as rough). And I still love the feeling afterwards more than my other yoga classes by far. Oh yeah - if you're new to this, don't overstretch. I did at the beginning because the heat I suppose doesn't make you as aware of your limits and I overstretched the collarbone region. So play it safe and build yourself up.
The teachers I've had are all great here. They're all a bit different, but all seem very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. You don't get many corrections like some styles, but they will help you out and give steady verbal directions to help you know what to do. And personal encouragements by name, which is always helpful. That said, you get way more attention here than the crowded classes at Yoga Tree. The place is clean, and lots of space in the changing room. Prices are very reasonable if you go for the bundles.
All in all, very worth it - know I'll be sticking around even after my intro package is over. Still have a long way to go :)

I am a big fan of this studio. They have some really great teachers. They do maintain a nice humidity with heat which makes it easier throughout the class. My only concern is the carpet, if only they could freshen it up and dis infect it .As sometimes parts of the carpet is soaked with sweat and lying down on the floor series you do sometimes get whiff of odor. Other than that I must have to say this yoga has changed my life inside out. I humbly thank this studio.
Bikram Yoga Seacliff is awesome. The teachers are great and they remember your name! My life has changed since I have began to go there almost daily for the last month. I feel good physically, mentally, and spiritually. The school is clean, the people are nice, the bathroom and shower area is a good size and it seems like all the other students are really nice. They also have alot of classes. Also, they have nice cold coconut water available to buy! Awesome. I read Bikrams second book which they sell there and I really love it. If you are thinking of changing your life for the better in every way go to Bikram Yoga Seacliff!!!!!
