Wow - one of the best dog parks we've ever visited! But please note that my comments are limited to the small dog area.

1- it looks really new. I think the other reviewer said it opened in August 2008 so it was less than a year old when we visited in July 2009.

2- It had grass! Yes, the lush, dark green kind.

3- Two lovely benches in the shade. We visited when it was nearly 92F at noon and kept cool.

4 - Super nice people. I love the Tahoe dog owners.  Warm and lovely from the time we walked into the park. Very respectful and concerned that dogs play nice together.

5 - Icy cold water fountain for both pooches and humans.

Be sure to put this park on your list if you're visiting the  Tahoe area.

As nice as my hometown fav 'Heather Farms Park"
new lush grassy area...just opened august 08...
not very spacious large dog run.

dual fenced area for large breeds and smaller breeds.
handy location between hyw 50 and pioneer trail.
lots of shade and water.

Nice community park with a frisbee 'golf course'
