Big Valley Gallery
1 review for Big Valley Gallery
I love looking at art, especially paintings. I appreciate modern art, classics, renaissance and impressionists just to name a few. So of course I love going to art galleries. They are like mini museums but with current works of art.
I used to love going here when they carried Thomas Kinkade paintings. I know, I know, he has become quite commercialized, but there is something about his paintings that just draw me in. I love his painting of San Francisco's Lombard street. The view starts from the top of Lombard and extends all the way to the bay with a view of the Bay Bridge. I think it would be AMAZING to have that view outside of my window everyday. That is what I love about paintings. It can transport you to another time and place. Kinkade also painted a picture of Sleeping Beauty's Castle for the 50th Anniversary. So cute!
Anyway, the art dealers at Big Valley Gallery were always so friendly and helpful. Even when I went in without purchasing anything, they always encouraged and welcomed viewing the paintings. Great gallery in McHenry Village.
