This place is crammed from wall to wall with craziness.  It's mostly a toy store, but the sheer amount of random crap is a lot to take in.  There are action figures of all varieties, including the complete Pee Wee's Playhouse setup.  How many Pee Wee collectors can there really be out there?

Everything in the store is for sale.  There are bins full of smaller toys and random parts.  I liked it a bit better when it was in a smaller location down the street.  It's a bit bigger now, or they remodeled so there was more display room.  I can't be sure, but it seemed a little less homey on my last visit (I just recently went for the first time in at least six years).  There were a lot more classic video games for sale this time around, including the Intellivision, which I grew up playing.  That was pretty sweet to see.

a coworker told me about this place and since I had family there, I figured why not take a look. Yes, it is crammed and looks like a garage sale but in a good way. I could not believe all the old school toys I saw in there including the slinky, a kaleidoscope, paper dolls, troll dolls, the yo yo, hula hoops, and even Atari cartridges.
To my surprise, I saw an old Michael Jackson button I had back in the day and misplaced so I had to get it. The staff was very personable and there was so much I wanted to get but was in transit. Next time, I'll just mail my findings home. If you cherish your childhood, you will not walk out this store empty handed.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised by the high ratings this place had.  I guess this is just me, but, this store is mostly full of trash and junk.  There were a few cool finds and stuff I had almost forgotten about from my childhood... but come on.  90% junk.  I happily left empty handed.

This store is bazaar, but fun to browsed around, but everything they sell, well let's face it, is useless but good for gag gifts

They had gay gum, which i thought was hilarious

Big Fun is the coolest toy store I've ever been to.  It was awesome to peruse the store and see toys I haven't seen since my childhood.  They had all the cool toys and video game systems from the 80's.  Remember the Intellivision and Colecovision game systems?  They had both.  They also had tons of action figures and gag gifts.  It was crazy to see them all.  If you are a toy collector, you would have a ball in this place.

Step into big fun, and you are instantly transported back to the early 80s, or, if that is not your bag, you are transported to whenever you most identify with being a child.  No kidding.  I go there, and I find all the Star Wars and G.I. Joe toys I played with as a child.  Someone else may go in and find He-Man or Hot Wheels or My Little Pony or Cabbage Patch or whatever.
This place is both a great trip down nostalgia lane, as well as a place to pick up party favors and last-minute gifts.

Fun, fun place. I was astounded by the museum-quality GI Joe aircraft carrier display. And seeing a boxed-up hovercraft brought a tear to my eye - seriously - by bringing up a memory of a childhood christmas when I received a rain check for one, a rain check that was never cashed.

All kinds of cool stuff here, from Christmas Story memorabilia to action figures to interesting books to stuff I can't even think of. I have a feeling that my office will eventually be decorated with the weird stuff I find there.

I have bought more wonderful and totally useless crap here than I can possible list.

All-time best standout purchases: a toy catapult that shoots plastic nuns, multiple pictures in the photo booth, and a sackload of Pop Rocks.

Perfect shopping for the attention-deficient.

Great store!!!! Love going there, one finds some of the most unique and hilarious things there. Has a "collectors shop" feel to it. Prices are not bad at all. If roaming around Cleveland, Big Fun is a must !

Big Fun is just that.  I can spend an hour in here picking through the amazing selection of toys and novelties.  I always find something here I've never seen anywhere else.

This is a must-see for those who love pop culture. I'm so glad they got a bigger location because the old one (now a sub shop) was much too small for all the cool toys and things brimming inside. Say you want a T-shirt with a vintage iron-on? Or a rubber chicken? GI Joe action figures? Whatever strange toy you want, they should have it.

When you go to Oberlin, the nearest big city is Cleveland. And when you come to Cleveland you have to come to Coventry and thus, you must come to Big Fun. It's even right next to the parking lot! Big Fun is a toy store that is filled to the brim with tons and tons of toys  and novelty items. They even have an old school photo booth!

Any place that rivals me in the amount of authentic Care Bear items they own deserves to get 5 stars. The new space is so much bigger. I love the way the store is divided up. It's a great place to just go in and walk around if you're feeling nostalgic.

This place is the bomb.  Where else can you buy original Pee Wee Herman trading cards?

big fun, indeed!  i don't know how long we stayed in here, but it was just so hard to leave!  i loved perusing the aisles upon aisles of stuff - from political paper dolls, to gag gifts from my childhood (fake snakes that pop out of mixed nut cans anyone?) to jesus action figures.  truly, one of the very best toy stores i have ever been to!

Big Fun - now in a bigger location!  (Eh, I moved away and haven't been back in a while, didn't know it moved across the street.)

I just went this past Friday and I could've spent hours there.  Instead, it was probably an hour, and I walked away having spent $45 (yes, everything is cheap there, but there is so much you want it's quite easy to drop a lot of cash).

After oogling the cases of Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars/Trek and G.I. Joes, Smurf/Wuzzles figurines, My Little Ponies, Rainbow Brite and Care Bears, I got down to business.
There are two old card catalogs filled with little trinkets.  Bouncy balls.  Fake tattoos.  Sheriff's badges.
There's a table full of compartments of plastic zoo animals, aquarium animals, you name it.  There's a wall of gag gifts and spy-like things (hand-buzzers, fake moustaches).  I know sometime back in college I got a boxing nun and a boxing Abe Lincoln here (duh, they did battle).
I got a Stimpy keychain for my sister, and a Ren & Stimpy sticker for my car.  I got "Corn Pcps" to make into earrings.  I got tiny pigs, and little jumping plastic cats.  And a Speed Racer sticker for a friend.  Another friend got a Mayor McCheese bobble head!!
AND!  They have old NES gear (the Power Pad, anyone?), and games, old Atari and Genesis stuff, too.

Basically, this is the perfect store for anyone who refuses to stop being a kid at heart.

Another Cleveland institution. This is one of the most special (retail) places in the world. It's almost sacred. A few random thoughts: My wife and I bought trinkets for our wedding reception tables here (Chinese finger traps, plastic personality testers, etc.). After dinner on Coventry, you go in to browse for a while, and maybe pickup a Knight Rider coloring book or Star Trek lunchbox. Now that I have a 2 year old we go in and let him run wild. He loves the place. We love the place. Teenagers love the place. Everybody loves the place. Thank you Big Fun, we love you.
