My girl and I were excited at the prospect of finally visiting the legendary Big Al's on a recent trip. We stopped in on a Saturday around midnight and were impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. There are two stages with comfortable seating and the crowd was well behaved. The drinks are typical of strip clubs, overpriced! But after all we were there for the girls which was disappointing to say the lest. We sat through an hour of overweight talentless dancers before finally seeing 1 of the 2 or 3 attractive girls. Mallory wasted no time in tipping her at the stage and the dancer responded by bringing her on stage for some fun. Well done!! I guess it wasn't a total bust.
I am glad we did not make a special trip just for Al's but staying at the Hotel right next to it made it impossible not to visit. -

As topless joints go, this one is great. A perfectly decent spot to spend the evening drinking with buddies, or to wind up a long night after bar-hopping down by the riverfront. It's cleaner and more under-control than the huge place across the river in Creve Coeur. This place would look like a decent old-school wood-panelled bar, if there were no strippers here.
There is a large cast of dancers working in the latter half of the week, including a very good percentage of really beautiful girls. Lap dances are very decent "mileage" by topless standards - and much better mileage is available, with the right girl, in the private VIP rooms. The service is good - the lady who handles the money when you get a VIP dance is discreet, friendly, and efficient.
I saw the hottest ever two-girl show on stage here at this club. Awesome. Fellows: when the MC asks for volunteers to sit on stage and be molested by the girls, VOLUNTEER YOURSELF. (But don't be an asshole. No touching the girls' private parts on stage. Just enjoy the show. They are there to molest you.) -

I can't believe they haven't closed this place down...yet.
The things that go on in there....I'm too much of a lady to repeat;-)
Back in da day...I spent way too many drunk evenings and occasional days here (observing, not working). Great place to bring your guy friends for their birthdays since dishing out 20 bucks will get them a decent lap dance. You end up spending less than on some boring gift and they will think you are the coolest girl they know.
Last time I was here conversation replay:
Me: "Hey you're hot, it's my friend's birthday, he wants a dance"
Stripper: "Sure, my name is Jewel but you look like Jewel. How about I give you both a lap dance for 20 bucks"
Me turning to my friend: "I like this place"

11/14/2006 Review Update
So I was here the past weekend and had a horrible experience in the service. Basically, DO NOT GET THE BUFFET!!! A corner slice of pizza, ended up getting my friend and I kicked out, & surrounded by cops. And I paid friggin paid $10 that they were asking! Then kicking us out, they wouldn't even give me my money back. Fucking townies, can't trust them and their townie ways.
This is a huge attraction for Peoria, this place is known world wide. You don't know Peoria if you don't know Big Al's. Yes, this place is a strip bar, but it is bar none the less, the boobies are a bonus! If you get there before 7:00, there is no cover, after that, I think it's $5 or $10 bucks. On one day of the week, (i forget which), they have $2 U-Call-It, the drinks are kinda small but not bad, that is the day where more BU students are there. So you start the night out a little early (don't worry, there will be quite a few people there by that time), you get cheap drinks, and look at boobies for free, best deal in town. The girls are nice but maybe not go on Sunday's, looks like they have their C-squad playing that day, plus, that's God's day, so be good. Fun place to go for a bachelor's party or just a group of friends to get drinks, boobies in your face, and a fun time.
Remember, no sex in the Champagne room. -

Big Al's can be entertaining place. I would not chose to go here but sometimes groups of friends make you swing by the place. Actually a nice layout and bar but the dancers is another thing(no disrespect or anything) I've seen a pregnant stripper there before if that's saying anything. So if you want a good time with friends & have drinks while naked girls dance around you come here or to talk about some of strange people that walk through the door. If want lap dances etc.. and into that kind of stuff save your money and go to Vegas.

There has been a Big Al's in Peoria for years. It is what it is - a good ol' boy's club. The problem is the boys aren't well behaved. They shed good behavior like a coat when they walk in the door.
If you are a female who is who is easily offended by language not heard in polite company, naked women and lap dances, Big Al's is not for you. Big Al's has a bouncer at the door for crowd control and belligerent drunks - both of which can be a problem to any public establishment - not just at Big Al's.
A friend and I took grandpa to Big Al's for his 85th birthday. Much to my dismay I learned grandpa was just a boy a heart.
He had so much fun he didn't want to leave. He didn't know I had planned all the extra attention in advance. I didn't know he was going to like it. Silly me. He talked about that night until the day he died. I regret that I didn't do it again.
Big Al's is what it is. Go with an open mind, stay out of trouble and you'll one heck of a good time. -

Came here on a Thursday night and found a GREAT line up of dancers! Thursday was also $3 drink night so everything was $3. Couch dances were $20 per song. I had a great time and will definitely be back.
