Well I've been a bad bad girl,
I've cheated on my Bibbo
It wasn't my fault , really it wasn't
Yes I know my hair is yellow,
And I know who made it that way, me !
So without yelling
he comes to my rescue
to color correct me to
Claudia Schiffer Blonde again, whew !
The man's a God with color and color correction.
And he definitely has reasonable pricing compared to what
I've paid in NY, Chicago, and LA especially when
considering his amazing talent and expertise.
The hair color and styling in the glamour shots in my photos were done by Bibbo at Bibbo Salon .

5 stars for my hairstylist Trish. I was devastated when she left the other salon but I finally found her on yelp -- thank god! She gave me a beautiful haircut, and when I got back to work (it was a lunch time appt), everyone was complimenting on my new look. A coworker of mine saw my hair and called Trish on the same day. Trish knows what looks good and sexy, and most importantly she pays attention to what you want and gives you an even better look. She only works at Bibbo a couple of days a week, so catch her if you can.
Bibbo is conveniently located in Union Square which is right next to the financial district. The entrance to the building is inside a small alley.
Stylist Antonio Cabral at Bibbo's is fantastic. I have been going to him for about 10 years now. I've sent several friends and coworkers to him, and they keep going back. He is going to be doing the hair for one of my coworkers' weddings this summer, in fact. I know he is highly sought after for weddings.
He is careful and meticulous, and has been doing hair for a long time and knows what he is doing. He loves what he does, which makes a difference because he wants you to look good. He is also consistent--I've never stayed with the same stylist this long, but I always love my hair when I leave his salon so I keep going back. He cuts my hair and sometimes puts in highlights--he is very good with color. I just got a sassy haircut for summer, and people keep asking me where I got it done.
I highly recommend Antonio Cabral!
My new favorite stylist is Antonio! He does great updos and blow drys. I am very good at styling my own hair and I'm extremely particular about ANYONE who works on my hair. I highly recommend Antonio. Definitely go and see him.
I've been following Andreas around and he is now at Bibbo! He can cut any type of hair and is very good. His haircuts last me 3-4 months! Can't speak for the others but I like the vibe of the place and Bibbo is a character.
Wow I absolutely love this place! My hairstylist Trish recently started working here, and it is fabulous! Wonderful atmosphere, great friendly service, top notch all the way.
I f you are looking for a flawless hairstyle, go see Trish at Bibbo. She can do absolutely anything with hair. She is truly out of this world!

Blondes (natural or otherwise), the only stylist you need to know is - Antonio Cabral - in Bibbo Salon. I have been seeing him for years as he is a master at making highlights look natural. I've had so many compliments on my long blonde locks that now two of my girlfriends go to him regularly and have never been happier about their blonde hair.
Antonio is terrific!

I selected Bibbo's after a beauty school mistake. I was in dire need of a color correction. They fixed it, taking out my stripes! I was so thankful and continued to give them my business. Over time though, I was getting blonder and blonder and blonder... it was just a little heavy-handed...
Bibbo himself did my last coloring there. They took out my foil and began to dry my hair. I lifted up a portion to check the color, expecting a little thrill looking at the improvement. Instead, I found a nice brassy apricot chunk!!!! The assistant was horrified and they began to chatter and holler at one another and it was just quite a wretched affair. I had to go back twice for them to fix it.
I can only agree 100% with the other review on Bibbo and Tara.
I have seen Tara on an off for nearly 10 years and followed her religiously.
It took her five years to cut my hair short, I drank three glasses of white wine during the process. She did proudly tell me I was now officially out of the 80's style, it was 2000.
She never pushes you, always makes you feel comfortable and is a true delight as a person. She takes a while to get to know, mainly because she has nothing of that fake om my gawd, how is everything, so refreshing.
It can be a beast getting an appointment, and that says everything in its self.
I got my haircut by Bibbo about a week ago. Based on the reviews I've read, I decided to give Bibbo Salon a try, and thought it would be safer to get just a cut, even though I needed color as well. I figured I would test him out before I got the works done.
From a customer service perspective, the staff was pretty attentive and Bibbo was even able to take me a little early. He was very friendly, and given his confidence, I thought I would be in good hands. I had brought a picture of the cut I wanted and explained I wanted about an inch in length cut.
Next thing you know he was blowing it out, and I was starting to get worried. I was hoping he just didn't know how to blowdry, so as he sensed my displeasure, he re-washed my hair and started all over again. I appreciated his perseverance, but after the second blowdry, I knew the cut was just completely off. It had a slight resemblence to the picture, but he cut WAY too much off (closer to 3 inches) and the layers were too chunky.
Bottom line - it was novice work. His technique and skills are amateur at best and now I have to wait 3-4 months to get it the length I originally intended. Not sure about other stylists, but I would not recommend Bibbo. Not worth your money.
I had the salon do my wedding day hair and my bridesmaid's hair and while the artistry was good Bibbo was implolite and disrepectful to my mom and sisters. These guys need a lesson in tact and customer service.
This is a super expensive salon that seems to cater to older women who like their hair to be fried. Although Bibbo himself gave me the cut, which was pretty good, the colorist really destroyed my hair by deciding to give me a body wave at the same time. After spending around $300, I walked out dissapointed.
I felt like I should write a review to change the rating a bit. I have to admit, I've never had a colouring done at Bibbo's. Bibbo always does my hair cut and he always does exactly what I want with a lovely flair. It's the only place I trust!
This place is the best. I needed my hair done because I was in a wedding and they did the best job ever. They even took me when the salon (77 Maiden LN) screwed me over. The owner did my hair and everyone at Bibbo were so kind and helpful. My hair was the best at the wedding and I sent him wine to thank him. I have very thick, straight hair and it turned it into art. I felt beautiful and it held up all night long.
Bibbo is absolutely great at cutting hair. I have never been disappointed. I always leave looking better than I expected myself to be looking like. YOu should definitely try Bibbo!
