Betty Brinn Children's Museum
3 reviews for Betty Brinn Children's Museum
This is a museum for the 10 and under set. I would say 6 and under, but it depends on the kid.
The layout is a circle and it would be hard to go here with two kids by yourself, easy to get lost. That said, it is really cool. My 3 1/2 year old boy had the time of his life.
Exhibits include a cool tour through the human body, with a five senses display. A kid sized anchor desk to do the news, a mail center, a pretend apple tree, a restaurant, a car repair shop and a bank for pretend play. A costume and theater area complete with a little stage, a sweet area for the under three set with an insect theme.
Lots of bathrooms, stroller parking and a place to eat. The enterance is hard to figure out, but once you are in the kids will be happy. I'd say something for everyone. I got a little bored but was happy to see my little man so engaged.
Wish they didn't have computers, hard to keep my technology dude away from the video games.
Colorful and fun and close to the waterfront. 4 stars.
A place to bring your kids - I was only sucked in to see Smokey the Bear - by the cashiers, they have a little corner that had some souvenir type of deal with random things (as well as Smokey the Bear pens and keychains) - kind of pricey, but if you're a fan, it's for you. Catered more for the early tots.
My kids loved this museum. And it's free to get in one evening every month.
