The choices are fish and chips or fish on a huge or moderate size bun - that's it and that's all it needs to be. Incredibly fresh and delicious with a little tartar, dill sauce, vinegar or just plain. The batter is light and crisp, but definitely wouldn't last a ten minute car ride, so eat it fast!
Looks like the prices haven't changed since 2007 - so it's a really good deal as well. One $14 order of fish and fries feeds a family of two adults and two young children easy. Love it! -

Not a huge menu selection - the only criticism I can think of.
Who wouldn't love a fish sandwich the size of your head? Presumably made from fish that was caught earlier that day, from right across the street. Awesome. -

Some, who shall remain nameless, make special trips from southern new england, only to find Bet is still hibernating in the spring....
Best fish sandwich anywhere, and, HUGE! Atmosphere can range from sunny and bright, to foggy and rainy, but you'll know that before you get there!
Bet herself is the real deal, she can be spotted quite often catching all the fish she fries aboard her lobster boat in the boothbay region. Maine humor adorns her fish frying establishment in the form of slogans like "Free beer tomorrow" and "Life's a fish, and then you fry" painted along the front.
And dont forget the extra dill sauce. -

Oh, man, is this a good place to stop off for lunch or dinner.
Get a single fish sandwich for two people ($10), and buy an extra bun to downgrade it into two normal-sized sandwiches. Or go for the fish and chips ($14), and get ready for a monstrous pile of fried haddock that'll easily fill two hungry bellies.
Drinks come from the soda machine out back, so feel free to bring along your own if you like.
Do note that Bet's is only open for very limited hours (lunchtimes daily, and 5-7 for dinner on weekdays only). And, as they're selling the day's catch, they can sell out before the business hours end. -

Bet, inside the stand, is a riot. The food is huge . . .a person could get full on a half order easily. Good roadside fried fish . . .what else can you say?
