I have never been to Bethlehem Baptist but I do attend The Desring God National Conference every year and have read most of John Piper's books and I strongly endorse his ministry.

John Piper is one of my favorite speakers, and if you're a visitor, you'll get parking close by.  I know that Bethlehem has several campuses and church plants around the Twin Cities.  My only issues are the size (not in favor of huge churches) and some of its doctrines.

Passionate Bible-saturated preaching where the preacher shows you what he sees in the Bible.  Worship is very focused on God and they sing a mix of hymns and contemporary worship music.  Multi-campus church.  The church is very consumed with the Bible and tries to base everything they do on the Bible -- so if that sounds like a good thing this might be a place to attend.
