Best Western Suites Hotel
1 review for Best Western Suites Hotel
With SFO delays and/or cancellations due to early morning fog a distinct possibility, I decided to head down to LAX the day prior to my flight to Bangkok to ensure I'd be there when boarding began. This all-suite property, located on a desolate stretch that offers little in the way of dining and entertainment options within walking distance (you'll need to cab your way to a decent meal, since there's no restaurant on the premises), is two miles from the airport, and provides convenient shuttle transportation to the terminals. What surprised me was that the accommodations were similar to those you'd find in a resort area, not a hotel where guests typically spend just one night on their way to or from someplace better. Divided into two distinct areas by a half-wall, the nicely-decorated, oversized room included a king-sized bed (two queens are also available), 25-inch satellite TV, VCR, three phones with dataports, a wet bar with refrigerator, microwave oven, and coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and a large bath with hairdryer, spa tub, and upscale amenities. A sun deck features an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. The hotel guarantees that rates offered on its own website are the lowest possible; if a better one is found elsewhere, the property will not only honor it, but discount it by an additional 10%. Starting at $90 per night, they include a modest Continental breakfast.
