I've definitely stayed at better. We were under the impression that they had wifi, but it was just an ethernet cable. This wouldn't have been too bad but it was placed in an awkward position in the room. You have to stand and use your laptop at the dresser next to the television. This isn't very convenient if you have a lot of work to do online.

If you're trying to sleep, a quieter motel is possible

Contractors were replacing siding and painting the outside of the motel where our room was assigned; the desk did not deign to mention the problem. Although the problem itself was not a major fault, the failure to mention it was unacceptable. We parked a little distance away from our room to avoid paint on our car and walked though a taped-off area to reach our room. Because the room was on the back side of the motel, away from Main Street, it was quiet. However, it was also small, dated, well-worn and overpriced. The room was unusual in that it had a back door that opened to a hallway. The lock did not seem to be working but we were able to secure it with the chain. The tiny bathroom counter was inadequate for two adults but the light was good. The pillows were uniformly overstuffed. Some people like thick pillows; others awaken with a stiff neck. The motel provides four pillows, so they could and should be of different thicknesses. A full breakfast, buffet style, was included in the price. The dining room was across the street. This two-story motel is comprised of two buildings on opposite sides of Main Street, connected by an enclosed pedestrian bridge over the street. The bridge could be welcome in winter. As the weather was nice and this is a small town with light traffic, we simply walked across the street.
