I had an excellent experience at this hotel. I stayed a Saturday and Sunday in March and paid around $200. Where else can you get an oceanfront room for that price? And it was spacious! The room was twice as big as others I've stayed in and I like how it had a mini fridge, microwave, and a sink outside the bathroom. It was convenient for cutting apples and cheese to eat with champagne.
I also loved how the shower head was nice and tall (I'm 5'7"), so I didn't have to bend down at all to wash my hair. I slept better in this bed than I did earlier in the week at a Sheraton I stayed at in LA for a conference. Overall, this is the best value around and I still can't believe how well it worked out and I would definitely return!
The grounds were very nicely kept, however you think with the amount of money they charge per night they could at least have coughed up some dough and traded in their 1980's matresses for some new ones. It is about time, seriously. We reserved for two nights, I wish I cancelled the second night, my back is killing me. The bathroom door was rotting at the bottom from water damage and they lock was broken (not a big issue, but someone stuffed toilet paper in there) who knows how long that has been there? Needless to say, would never go back.
Great location. I suggest the upper level room. Since massive amounts of seaweed build up near the rocks when you stay in the lower level rooms and open the sliding glass door to the patio you get a really bad smell. Spent a very relaxing weekend here.
We stayed on a Sunday night. The rate was a bit high for a weekday. 179 with a AAA discount for a bottom room. Rooms on the 2nd floor were 199. The resort is really nice. Nice bedroom, very comfortable beds and pillows. Mini-fridge, micro. really clean. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Very beautiful! Fantastic view and nice walk way to a near by park. Very romantic (even if we were with our kids) A great place for a getaway. Just a bit pricey!
This place worth **** stars,mostly because of the location..right next to the ocean. It makes it romantic. I like the way they organize access to the beach. But don't like:there is a sign that says *No public access* ,but you will see a lot of fishermen s passing by your window. Room is ok,but nothing special. As well as a breakfast. For all around 30 rooms that they serve they have only 4 tables in breakfast room. Managers pretty friendly and helpful.
I love this hotel for so many reasons, not the least of which is it's complete lack of pelicans and other hella aggresive birds.(http://www.yelp.com/bi...)

Ultra reasonable rates that include a tasty and fresh continental breakfast.
Simple, clean, spacious rooms with double sinks, comfy beds, great bath products and a microwave and refrigerator.
A heated pool and spa.
Beautiful views from pretty much every single room.
Hidden paths that lead down to the lovely cove below the hotel.
Friendly and helpful staff, and a AAA discount.
This property is a dream, perfect for families traveling up the coast, couples looking to get away or groups of people looking to have a great beachside stay!

We went to this place for just one nite...and i have to say...$ well spent! we were there for the sat nite of the long wknd so the rates were a lil high but as we got there and discovered the surroundings we are more than pleased :) Every room has a view...and since we were on the 2nd floor the view was amazin....they offer free internet and free breakfast! even though the breakfast room is small you can always pull a chair at the pool which is right next/outside of the room and ofcrouse enjoy the morning breeze while eating :) Once you walk out and make a turn through the wedding area - down the pathway...you can take the stairs to your private beach!!!! well sort of...was an amazin discovery for us! a small beach with no rush....very few people....to sum it all - the hotel is a prime location and excellent for the price!!!!!hope this helps...
This is a great hotel in a great location near bars and restaurants.... not to mention the ocean. We got a room at a reasonable price in the off season. Our room was clean and large with a comfortable bed. The room had a microwave, a refrigerator, and a great balcony overlooking the ocean. They have a nice little path that will lead you down to the water as well as a gazebo with a nice view. They also have one computer guests can use for free which was nice. The shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotion was from BATH AND BODY WORKS. It was an awesome change of pace - the place we were at the night before was really quite dumpy. I would definitely return to this hotel.

thank u to jen n & peter m for ur reviews of this place. it helped me pick a very quality place at an awesome value! with my AAA 10% discount, the room was very decently priced, with a big clean room w/2 sinks, microwave, refrigerator, huge bed, beautiful ocean view, & heated pool & hot tub! check-in & out was quick & painless, & the continental breakfast was very decent. it was part of a birthday present, so they helped me look good. everything is really quite nice & u could feel the quality! i'm very picky about where i stay & didn't want anything that looked cheap or dinky whatsoever, & this was definitely up to par & someplace u can feel good staying at.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend in July 2005, and it is a beautiful place. DITTO with every Yelp reviewer before me on everything mentioned. I would definitely visit again. If you are one of those still unconvinced that Best Western can be a nice stay, then you haven't tried this place.
