First, the preliminaries: Clean rooms, decent price, nice pool/spa, free breakfast (and we're not just talking about prepackaged pastries here, they go all out with pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, etc. Good stuff), helpful staff. Their staff is *so* accommodating, I wrote a letter of appreciation for one of their employees. Here it is:

My name is xxx, and I was a guest at the Posada Royale between xxx and xxx. I would like to praise one of your employees, Matt, for his excellent service and competence. Having just moved down to the area to start a new job, I intended to live out of the Posada Royale, just down the street from my new job, while I looked for more permanent accommodations. Just out of college and having never moved before, I naively allocated myself a mere four days at the Posada Royale to find a suitable apartment. After a few days of unfruitful searching, I approached the front desk to ask for assistance. Matt lent me invaluable help in several ways. First of all, he noticed that, because my company was footing the bill for my stay, I ought to have been charged a discounted corporate rate. He retroactively applied this rate to my few previous nights, and mentioned that I could save even more money by moving out of the executive suite an into a normal two-queen-bed room. I had not realized it at the time, but the Best Western customer service representatives in the central dispatching office had set me up with the most expensive accommodations possible -- they told me that an executive suite was all they had available, and upon my inquiry they even denied the existence of a corporate rate at the Posada Royale. Matt, on the other hand, had done such a diligent, swift, thorough, and competent job at reducing the cost of the room that I was able to extend my stay for another 8 days! This would never have been within my relocation budget if Matt had not been quick on his feet and eager to help. He even arranged for me to make contact with another employee, Candice, who was familiar with apartment complexes in the area and who could lend me valuable house-hunting advice. Finally, when my stay neared its end and I still desperately needed a few additional days, Matt was still able to accommodate me, despite all hotels in the area being completely booked due to the xxx. In short, he saved my butt, big time, every time.

The service at the Posada Royale has been superb. It has won my unwavering support and acclaim, and I will recommend it to all my subsequent guests. Please do what you can to recognize Matt for his superlatively adept skills at his job.
